  Please turn off the GPU in the Lightroom preferences

  Steps to follow:

  Go to preferences

  Click the performance tab

  Uncheck the GPU

  Restart the Lightroom

  Always save your files on your hard drive or server that you have access to. You control where files are saved. They will be there is you cancel your subscription, and they will be there when you register again.

• First Pro CC STILL holding export

  I'm on a mac (2013 imac and macbook pro, 24 GB / 16 GB of ram, etc.) and Premiere Pro allows to export very well (10 minutes to 3 minutes 1080 p video in the h.264 format, all pre-rendered) and now, on both of my machines, it seems that PP is not able to use the files of rendering EVEN when I select "use found" because it takes 30 to 40 minutes to export now. Incidentally, I have to basically every second of my calendar because of the nature of the images & effects I use - my images are image sequences of jpg that is a weird size, the chronology is 1920 x 1080, however. Media Encoder is not faster, either. No matter if I use the software or export CUDA accelerated, either. They are all slow.

  I get no direct indication that there is a mistake - just that PP takes much too long to export. Too long. Render times are very good, so it is not a problem with my system.

• iPhone 7 restore from iCloud still holding

  Hello, I have a new iPhone 7. Recently, I had saved my old iPhone 6 and wanted to restore the new iPhone 7 of my backup. I started the process of restoring the day I got my phone and it of been two weeks and is apparently still restore. I often have my phone on and loading and very good WiFi connection, but the restoration has not yet completed. I have some new updates to iOs which must be installed but that cannot be done until the restoration is complete. What should I do? When I look at my phone, it seems that I'm not missing any information. Any suggestions?

  You have the ability to stop the restore process when you go to settings > iCloud > Backup? If so, then stop it. It could be an application that has not been fully downloaded, or other media that has not yet downloaded. I got my iPhone do that once in a while and like you, could see nothing which has not been restored. Maybe it's stuck saying it restore even if it's really over. A restore of backup should not take more than a few hours at most.

  If you do not see a way to stop the restore, then reset your unit: hold the home and power buttons at the same time and continue to hold until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the reset is complete, the lock screen is displayed.

  I bought an external hard (Lacie) drive for the first time and I made my fist with time saving machine (macbook pro) which was really a struggle because I don't know anything. I understand not partitions and how to put in place, but looks like he went through, but I had 240 GB of stuff for backup and the backup was only 203 GB... is this normal? Or did I do something wrong? Do I have to erase everything and star again? Is this possible?

  You probably have a Time Machine backup functional based on what you described.  It is normal for Time Machine to have consumed less space than what is on your MBP.  This web site is a good source for detailed Time machine and troubleshooting information.

• 3.0.98 (2.1) issue still holding for text messaging to open

  Recently, I noticed that my phone is now holding still to open the text message, enforcement is not serious if I use the phone app and handcent, they both can take over a minute to open I actually had to touch the screen to prevent of is dark before it could open. I also received each text twice, I restarted the phone and think it may have solved the problem dbl but still slow as hell to open it.

  Our small company recently signed for the package monthly instant ink and we have lack of ink about a week ago. We received an email confirming that the ink is on its way; However 5 days later it still not been received and according to delivery it is always carried to the "country of destination" (which is the UK), even though it was 3 days ago.

  We are a new company and have been left without ink for almost a week now, so we are obviously not satisfied with this plan 'Snapshot' of ink!

  First of all, it seems to come from the Netherlands (Holland) - why?

  Second, how long should we wait between our exhausted ink and ink replacement being sent/received?

  The program was designed with the intentions that the ink would happen until you miss.

  Probably best results if you contact the Department of instant ink directly.

  Hello, so I edited a video to the top and made a dvd for the first time menu. I have connected all the buttons and makes nice nice however... I realized after doing the menus that the dvd is 720 x 480.

  I put the menus in there and since it worked, I thought that it would be "re - format video when the dimensions change.  Is it possible to do this job without create menus entirely?

  I ship this dvd to a customer in the morning, and I will re-start not rather the menu from scratch.  Here are the screenshots of the video when played

  Video has been exported to 720 x 480. and the menu that I believe has been 1920 x 1080

  

  I have never tried to use a HiDef on a DVD... menu which is, as you have discovered, only 720 x 480 to the DVD specifications

  So what you see CAN be a factor of even 'try' to fit your HiDef menu in the DVD specifications... that "looks like" he brought the menu to fit and then also the video

  In the original version (traditional uninstall), you are given a screen that lets you choose what to uninstall, and then you clear again (if there). If you do not have this option, and then try to uninstall in Windows via Control Panel.

  I just tested and it gives you the screen.

• Economy twice during an action as the same file extension possible with Photoshop without overwriting the first backup?

  Hello, first time submit a question to the Adobe communities.

  I would like to be able to record twice during an action with the same file extension; How is that possible? I tried a number of methods such as: save a JPEG as a copy, renaming jpeg in jpg format, adding a line to underscore the SMALL Word after it, etc., and it keeps overwriting my first recording. I'm still not recording "in copy" feature when saving a jpeg file. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I think that if this box is not grayed out on my second record I would be able to add the copy at the end of my file name that would create my second jpeg.

  I need this is because when I save the little and the big jpeg for our company store, I would just create an action that saves as two different sizes and then closes the file to move to another. The site on what I download is Four51 and they take a reorganization of the files, so a single method, I tried was to save the second time into action as a png but it makes it transparent and I need a white Uni.

  Tried to go into the options and disabling transparency PNG but that only works with quick export that will not register within an action (even abroad). It is a dilemma for some time, and my only way to work around it is to create the action doesn't follow: resize to 300 px wide > save as Jpeg > end of action. I play action and hit the command option I have change my size to 100 px wide for the thumbnail, then click on control shift s to record success and right arrow to add details and then save, order q, tab, space.

  If it makes no sense to anyone, I would be grateful for your advice. The only thing I can think that I have not tried is to change my background from transparent to white and then create this action: command option I have 300 px wide > order s (jpeg) > command option I have 100 px wide > command shift s (png) > w command

  I guess the only way to change your default background to white instead of transparent is to create a new document and put in place without transparent background then go further, my new documents will have white backgrounds. Do not see under my preferences?

  Something like the following action could work.

  A couple of notes:

  Image adjustment is under file > Automate > Fit Image and resizes the image to fit the specified size.

  For example, if you enter 300 in the two fields, photoshop resizes the longer side at 300 and the other dimension including the size proportionally as when you use Image > Image size to maintain Proportions checked.

  

  Photoshop uses the copy to JPEG files if the image of your savings has one or more layers or is not 8-bit/channel, because do not support JPEGs of layers or say 16 bits/channel.

  If you have only a background layer, then photoshop uses a copy when saving a jpeg file

  Thus, during the recording of the action you probably want that one-step flatten so save the first does not include copy in the name.

  To get the action record adding copy to name, open any image, add a layer, and then record save as jpeg for copy adds the jpeg save as step

  Created the snapshot of the original image open, so the second resizing using the original instead of resizing the image already resized.

  

• "digitization of closed captioning" still holding

  I have a Quicktime ProRes file with embedded subtitles.  Whenever I open a project with this file, it scans the subtitle file (say "closed scanning legends dethrone") and takes about 20 minutes (90 min video). While she does this I can't do anything with the video.  It would be horrible if she just did the first time as it does with the audio, but it's every time.  In addition, although first and Quicktime Player says there are subtitles, I still see them in each program, although I have taken the steps to light.  This is a less important issue, I really just want to open it and do not take forever.

  Is there a setting for this I lack that would just disable this option?  Someone else this experience?    I use CC.

  We are aware of this point of pain and are trying to solve.

  A workaround for now would be to transcode the video codec lossless (or almost without loss). If you will be including legends in your project, then you can export it to a sidecar, import this sidecar with the transcoded video, add it to your timeline and synchronize it with the video. You'll probably also want to link to facilitate their changes as a unit.

• First CC still not not using the thm for DSLR timecode files?

  I'm looking to confirm that first Pro CC still does not use sidecar files mov Canon DSLR thm files to extract the time of day timecode when importing. I know PP CS6, it only did not. Just checking to see if it is always the case. All DSLR files import currently with 00:00:00:00 timecode as technically most DSLR cameras are not real timecode in the mov files.

  My solution to workaround for recent years was of qtChange allows to add time camera of day timecode files thm files before importing in first mov. It doesn't seem a big deal, but when sending the changes to a colorist, for example, they LIKE a kind of timecode to help their end. I should add that qtChange can also add a name of coil for mov files, which is an additional subtlety to the calibration software.

  It would be nice to skip this additional step before importing.

  I'm heading over to the wishlist now to request this feature in the future PP updates.

  THM files are not used by first Pro CC. You should always use something like qtChange to add a TC track that is appropriate in the MOV file.

  It appers that there is no version CC again and he can't dynamic link to first CC kindof a huge kink in my workflow! Anyone else having this problem? For a work-around, I exported my calendar in media encode using DVD presets.

  If you move to first Pro Cloud YOU export 'something' of the Organization, since it will not (from what I've read) use Dynamic Link to Encore CS6

  I think you can always export agency such as MPEG2-DVD, but that still requires bit budgeting... Where my suggestion to AVI then still leaves made the ILO calculation

  Also, as noted in another thread, as time passes, Adobe provides NO Encore CS6 upgrades for new Mac or Windows operating systems http://www.adobe.com/products/encore/faq.html

  You must complete the download of Sierra. It is a very large file and will take some time, especially on a slow Internet connection.
