First Elements 10 chronology slow... why?

I just built a new computer with:

-Windows 7 Professional

-Intel Core i7-3770

8 GB RAM DDR3

SanDisk 128 SSD

Blue WD 1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive

GTX 650 1 GB (I know not necessary since the PreE is not using it for rendering)

Specifically, when I use the timeline, zoom in and out, move it to the left and the right, it becomes very slow.  Also, when I move the cursor to time line he hangs out a lot. My project is on DV - Standard 48 kHz. My video is in AVI format approxamatly long time. It is very surprising since before I change on my 500HDD Macbook Pro 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8GB, 2009.  I just changed a raw DV footage with hard drive, memory Flash-camcorders - Standard 48 kHz project put on my Macbook.  I had no lag what so ever regarding what I lived on my PC build. What could be the matter with her? When editing, I have the CPU meter and the GPU counter (I know that Pree uses the GPU to render) on as well, but that's all. I upgraded my computer to discover a rendering faster and export times not to compromise for a timeline experience slow! Help!

I think that the canopy will do what need you, and the result will be better.

I am probably more importance of multigenerational quality loss, than a lot and won't go far even use intermediate files DV - AVI, if I need to make a bidirectional Export/edit/Import. I'm afraid of ANY compression, which is not absolutely necessary. Some people believe that the DV - AVI is perfectly fine, even for intermediate generations, but I see those 5% + 5% + 5%. For one generation, I agree that they are very good, but often need to several generations, so use a CODEC lossless, as Lagarith or UT for these intermediaries.

To capture from an analog source, I use an old Canopus 300 and it is perfect. This generation a DV - AVI was never a problem, and I thought those against AVI uncompressed - even with display of criticism, I can't make a difference, even if a large part of this may be due to the original material - VHS tapes.

Good luck and please update us on your progress. In addition, a DV - AVI will be much, much easier to edit (smoother, etc.), all highly compressed material.

The translation of your question is wrong, but I think I understand what you're asking.

The new feature eLive (elements Live) in Photoshop Elements 13 and first elements 13

is not available in non-English versions.

Adobe wrote in many places that the Online Services are not available in all countries. eLive seems to be one of them.

We are not Adobe. Instead of a user in forum. But, what has been written here and elsewhere on this subject.

eLive "pourrait" appear in your program in English in the future. Nothing is certain.

  • First Elements 12 slow

    Hello

I recently purchased this program and installed on my MacBook Pro 13,3 "end 2013, 2.4 GHz Dual Core i5 processor, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, Intel Iris 1024 MB 256 GB sold State Drive video card and I the external USB SuperDrive for DVD burning.  The MAC is running OS X Mavericks 10.9.1.  I installed first elements 12 on the DVD drive and used the original disc from the box.  The program runs very slowly and it drives me crazy.  Scrolling, video rendering (VERY SLOW), move the cursor within the software and drag clips autour is very quirky.

I got the first Elements 9 on a Windows XP Pentium 4 processor Dual Core with 2 GB of RAM and it ran MUCH faster.  I tried different display settings on my current MacBook, and even when it's the only program open, it is still slow. Can I do to make it run faster?

I use Adobe Lightroom 5 on this computer, and it works very quickly, so I don't know that other Adobe software works well on this machine.  Thank you!

    -Brian

This orange line indicates possible playback smoother, you will have to restore the timeline, by pressing the enter/return key.

At the beginning, when clamps are trained to the timeline, if it appears, it indicates a discrepancy between the project and the video Clips.

If we add an effect, any form of layering, like a title or a PiP, it will appear, indicating that for smoother playback, the timeline should be made.

Your line appears, when the Clips were first dragged to the timeline?

    Good luck

  • Why is it not my Adobe first Elements 9 video full screen?

Okay, so I turned my video in full screen HD, and when I export, the quality is poor and he is half of the screen. I had no idea when I started of what settings choose, this is probably the problem. But now, deseperately I hope someone tells me there is something to do, because I have worked on this project for 3 years now and I can't start over again.

The project settings is DV NTSC.

The videos that I use are in. MTS and. MOV

I don't know what information you need, but do not hesitate to ask.

    MrJoshameeGibbs

    MrJoshameeGibbs

Officially you can not change the settings for this project when it was established. Of all that has been written, you seem to have the project settings for both 16:9 4:3 source files.

The hope would be to amend the preset to NTSC DV Standard NTSC DV widescreen or another preset 16:9 project.

But I wrote it on a way to make this change in some cases when editing the document in Notepad the saved closed Premiere Elements project file (.prel).

But this document in Notepad for editing can be difficult if you have not done before.

First Elements ATR troubleshooting: PE11: changing settings of project without starting a new project

Note: NTSC DV Standard and NTSC DV widescreen have the same image size 720 x 480. The difference is that the screen has a 16:9 flag that extends from 872 x 480 to display video after encoding. You can tell them apart in the properties - the standard has a pixel aspect ratio = 0.9091 and the big screen has a pixel aspect ratio = 1.2121.

As a desperate gesture, I wonder if we could take the export of 16:9 (which features with black borders) in a project of Premiere Elements for NTSC DV widescreen. Scale and the installation video then just to fill space in Edit mode monitor. Then export them with a choice of 16:9 export. This may seem a bit zoomed in, but it could be a way to save what you have.

Consider, let me know if you understand the comments. I'm going to re - write here where necessary.

    Thank you.

  • Missing files after changing computer with Adobe first Elements 9

    Hello

I recently changed my computer, and I installed Adobe first Elements 9, I had on my old computer. I actually changed my computer hoping that it would be better, because she was always crashing on my old computer. I tested it, I created a new project and everything went very well. But of course, I also want to continue my old editing projects. The problem is that, even if my library is organized as with my old computer, Adobe Premiere is not able to associate the files in my projects at their source. If each of my files (sounds, videos, music, effects) are not recognized, and I need to restore one by one by clicking on them and the research in my library. Now, I quickly realized that I could not go that way, because I'm editing of thousands of files.

But I have trouble believing that there is no way first can recognize files by itself, like iTunes can do when the music is missing. I mean, first knows exactly how the missing files are supposed to be, then why couldn't he find them? Does this mean that if my computer was broken, I could not able to change my old projects on a new? This makes no sense.

    Thanks in advance,

    Thanks for the reply.

To check the version... Please open Premiere Elements in his chronology workspace. Go to Menu Help / about Premiere Elements. The top of the screen that opens should include a version 9.0.1 if you have downloaded and installed version 9.0.1 and work from it.

Please consider the following strategy and see if it solves the problem... just do it for a project as a series of tests...

    1. back to the computer 1, open your project and determine that it opens with the media source associated with the project.

2 create a folder "copied" using File Menu/project Archiver and its choice of copy a project.

3 transfer the folder "copied" 2 hard drive... maybe with USB Flash drive.

    4. Ouvrezledossier "copied" on computer 2, find the project file (PREL), right click, select open with, and then Adobe Premiere elements 9.0.

The project opens in the Adobe Premiere elements 9.0 on the computer 2 with all its current source media?

    Thanks for the follow-up.

With regard to the trial of the 13 items first... all imports in it will have the watermark of Adobe as seen in the edit box monitor.

    1. you can't you get rid of this watermark Adobe from exports of the first 13 items test (either export to the file saved in the computer

hard drive or burn to disc).

    2. you can get rid of the tattoo Adobe Premiere elements 13 trial of the project file (.prel). For this you need 13 items first purchased.

    a. open the project first elements 13 tryout file recorded in first 13... bought items then chronology Menu/delete rendered files... the Adobe watermark is based on this project.

    or

    b. open Premiere elements project file 13 tryout recorded in first 13 bought items... and then do nothing but continue the project. So we have

found that just opening the project of tryout in the acquis automatically removes the watermark of Adobe.

Determine which of the two that works for you.

There is no guarantee that a project created in an earlier version can be opened in a later version. But you can try. But do this by using a copy of the project file of the previous version. Once the project from the previous file is changed in the second version, you can't go back and change the edited version project subsequent to the previous version.

Please let us know if you're OK with the above information. If this isn't the case, please do not hesitate to ask questions and seek clarification.

  • First Elements 2 works more slowly on a better system?

    Hello

I recently bought a new computer and gave my dad my old system. It is using first Elements 2 on its old system, which had 1gig of RAM and a very bad processor. He ran great but it was usable.

So my question is, could help me or give me any information why 2 elements is incredibly slow and impossible to edit with a system with 4gig RAM and a dual core processor?

Should I just upgraded him? If so, what version because I heard number 8 is very buggy at the moment.

    Any information would be great.

    Thank you.

What operating system do you use?

First Elements 2 is designed to run on Windows XP. It may not work well on Vista, not to mention Win 7.

Perhaps you can find version 7 or even 4 available on Amazon.com or used on eBay. (Make sure that you buy a licensed copy, of course). Version 8 is much more stable in its version 8.01 patched - but it doesn't have its share of problems of resources, so you can avoid it during the upgrade.

  • Quickly graduated from first Elements 8 - not suitable for HD - comments?

After some more research today, I think having an idea about what is happening with my system running first Elements 8.

First system Configuation is less than 3 weeks old:

    Windows 7-64 bit professional

    EVGA X 58 Classified MoBo

    CPU i7-950 (no OC'ed)

    12 GB Tri-channel RAM (1600)

    Graphics NVIDIA Quadro 1800

500 GB logical drive 1 (including 2xOCZ SSD 256 GB SSD in RAID 0)

600GB logical drive 2 (including 2xWD VelociRaptor 10KRPM drive HARD 300 GB in Raid 0)

    1.0 TB Physical Drive 3 for the backup of 1 & 2 (including 1 - WD 7200 RPM drive)

I custom configured specifically to run the video processing and photo.  I worked with photos for years and just now to enter full HD 1920 x 1080 video with my Canon 5 d - M2 and new VIXIA HFS100 Cancorder.

My bench is very fast and he's great in Photoshop CS4 managing several images of my Canon 5 d - M2.  Batch processing, resizing, etc. runs like a dream.  In Windows 7 preformance 'Performance index' the ranks of the 7.5 on CPU, System 7.5 on memory and 7.7 e/s disk off the ladder 7.9, the Nvidia Quadro 1800 only rated 6.7 which is disappointing (one else run this performance eval on their Vista or W7 machine?)  I would be interested to know your scores and what video card you are using) I can experiment with OC soon, but so far I have not seen the need.

Being new montage video I wanted to start out slow and and not invest in a professional level of editing until I knew what would be my real needs, so I bought the Premiere Elements 8.0 to get said.  I also when in the course of training complete which is available on LYNDA.COM.  Which is great BTW!  Then to produce an HD video to 'professional' looking for a recent vacation to Napa Valley with images and photos from my Canon 5 dM 2.

Elements 8 is a nice tool and offers lots of features, but just seemed to have throttled down after the creation of about 4 or 5 minutes of 1920 x 1080 video.  Moving around the timeline, the package would hit the disc each time for re - view the video "icon" clips on the timeline.  I found that after about 4 minutes of video on the timeline, whenever I added a new clip, I had to pause and wait for the system to calm down before editing it.  Also once things started to slow down, usually trying to move a clip around the scenario would result in a complete lock-up (just lost an hour of work).   I was also puzzled at why Elements 8 would hit the disc so much when I had 12 GB of RAM just sitting there with more than 7 GB unused.  It of sad because 8 elements has tools and features I want, just don't have the power.

Well (stupid me) Elements 8 is still only a pack of 32-bit and not use any what RAM beyond 4 GB.  This is in itself explains a lot.  To really use my system to the maximum, I will need to upgrade to a 64-bit - professional level package NLE such as Premiere Pro CS4, Sony Vegas Pro 9 or other.  Now, back to the drawing board to reseach packets to determine what is best for my needs.

Experiences with the 64-bit package?  Recommendations?

    Thank you
    Scott

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

After the first Elements 8 startup screen, I select new project, then the settings of my project as NTSC / AVCHD / Full HD 1080i 30.

Ouch, which cannot be good. You use a preset interlaced, progressive video, and an AVCHD preset at that. I don't know exactly what PrE8 offers choices for your sequence, but you really want to use a preset ofp 30 fps in 1080. In the Premiere CS4 I use HDV 1080 p 30, then look and see if PrE8 has it, or you can create one if you have this flexibility in the elements.

I recently installed Adobe several "updates" but am still under first elements v10 (on Win 7 64-bit).  Now the application refuses to update the monitor display window. Also, the display of the preview window seems to be broken. When the "reading" of the film, the timeline pointer moves and audio, but the video display is static.

I can move the pointer of the timeline to a specific point and click in the monitor window and it will display a static image that reflects exactly the point in the timeline panel, but will not update with playback.  I can manually move the pointer of the chronology and the monitor display will be updated, but only within the same "clip" that the monitor has been activated in. Moving an adjacent clip or still picture and the screen does not refresh.  Does anyone have an idea what has broken or how to fix it?  Frustrating after many hours spent editing a feature film before the 'update '.

What video/graphics card your computer use? If it's NVIDIA Ge Force and his version of the driver is up to date, it's your problem that cannot be resolved.

There is a serious problem specific to the first 10 NVIDIA GeForce items requiring the use of a version of the NVIDIA driver may 2013, not the version of the updated driver.

See the following for more details on this.

First Elements ATR troubleshooting: PE10: NVIDIA video card Driver Roll Back

If it is as I suspect, ex-driver work may have been automatically updated with the latest version. Your hope of recovery is to find the older having previously worked driver still on your computer and replacing the new driver with the former.

If your computer does not use a card NVIDIA GeForce, then we'll go after other ways of solving problems.

This isn't Adobe. Instead a user. You need to contact Adobe to know the why of the situation and what his plans are to remedy the situation in order to allow the usual workaround if this is a solution that will make unnecessary workaround.

You have a chance by converting the widescreen is a mod to another format that would recognize the flag of 16:9 wide screen of is a mod, if 16:9 is really there.

Due to the nature of the message.

    1. make sure that the version of the driver for your video card/graphic card is up-to-date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card.

  • Can I create a custom in first Elements 12 Menu?

It's great that 12 elements has a way to automate the menus for a DVD, but so far I can't find one that I like.  Specifically, I want a background image to fill the entire screen, just like I do with a title.  My question should perhaps I can transform a title in a menu by adding markers?

And a question is that I have to have a main menu and a menu selection of separate scenes?  I'm used to creating of menus (with Pinnacle) which allow a single menu screen and buttons that can be added (and the 'button' can be text or an image).

Now I'm me forward, but if I have a menu scenes and someone selects a scene, at the end of the scene, it will just continue to play or go back to the menu scene?  It is an option in Pinnacle.  I'm jumping it is in first, as well, because once the scene is done I'd rather have it continue to play on as commercial DVDs would be if you skipped a scene in the middle of the movie to continue watching.

All changes to the existing disc menus is either

    a. film area of customization of the Menu (Menu Tools/film)

    or

    b. for more advanced customization, at the level of the disc menu .psd file for the main menu and the file .psd for the scene menu.

The titration module does not here.

    Many possibilities...

    • If you don't use a markers of the scene on the content of the timeline, you won't have a scene on a button in the main menu or scene selections pages.
    • If you use brands of main menu on the content of the Timeline and add enough buttons for the main menu, you can have a main menu of the page for access to films of chronology.
    • And so on.

If you have scene markers placed on the Timeline for viewer start you with this scene in particular, by clicking on the corresponding button of the scene on a scene selection page will result in the scene as well as the rest of the timeline content reading at the end of the timeline and auto course then return to the main menu. Placement of stop markers is required Viewer to select a scene to the display and then be returned to the main menu after reading this scene in particular. About stop markers...

Never put a stopper at the end of the last item in the timeline

Use of judgment in the timeline markers makes the Play All of the main menu button without meaning.
