First project does not recognize drive

It is a crazy problem. I am trying to open a first project I've been working a few days ago. I have not changed anything about the location of the media files. From the opening, see the media files dialog box opens indicating that this area is offline. I click on search. The drive that contains the media files does not appear in the dialog box locate even if it is mounted and displays it on the desktop. Other projects who have media on the same drive are fine and grateful for this player. I have all backup media. But I'd rather avoid relinking routine.

Hi Geoff, there.

Sorry for your frustration with the OWC RAID. I talked to the kind people at OWC for NAB and they have found a solution to this problem which is really weird, but apparently works.

  1. Select the OWC drive on your desktop.
  2. Press CMD + I to get the information for the reader.
  3. Click the icon of OWC for the reader.
  4. Press Delete, the icon disappears.
  5. Restart Premiere Pro.
  6. The OWC RAID appears in media browser.
  7. Reconnect your film now that the RAID is mounted in Premiere Pro.

I hope this helps. Please file a bug here.

Thanks to the staff at OWC to share this info with me.

It really pay to NAB Show sometimes!

Thank you
Kevin

  • XPS430-SATA2-4 does not recognize drives

I am installing an SSD in my 5 years, with the latest version of the BIOS A01 and Windows7 32-bit XPS430.  SATA HDD / SDD and DVD are recognized by the BIOS, if I put them in the SATA ports 0 or 1.

DDI or DVD are recognized if I put them in the 2-4 SATA ports.  SATA is set to "RAID ON" if I select the alternative "RAID Autodetect / ATA ' there is no difference to be able to see a 4 SATA2 devices.  I tried to force the device plugged into SATA port on IT, but at the start, what the BIOS reports an error that the device does not exist.

I tried swapping cables and leads PSU so believe I eliminated errors here.  Philip Yip has been useful (see the thread), but without success.  My only thought would now connect the internal DVD to port eSATA via an appropriate adaptation set.

Can anyone in this community about me other suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

OK, this is not the procedure. You must locate the RTCRST_PSWD jumper on the motherboard. It should be on pins 3 and 4. Move to jump pins 1 and 2 for five seconds, then bring it back.

And, Yes, this will cause the system to lose all the BIOS settings. Then I suggest that you write.

  • Tecra A4 - upload of Firmware does not recognize drive

First of all, my CD/DVD-R + RW doesn't write not any CD or DVD for the last 3 years.
Second - as always, when I get the toshiba on firmware updates, I tried to update according to the instructions, but I get the message not connected disk target.

I followed all the instructions again more carefully, but no use. I received today a new update of the firmware. and I can not always up to date, I get the message "Target drive is not connected.
    No operation troubleshooting? Help? suggestions?
This is the second update of the firmware that has failed. even the previous update firmware failed with the same error.
Another question: why only the updated easy to use? Its complex process even for the updates. Throat!
I was in a bit of hope that if I can update the firmware, it might help me to write at least CD now after 3 years... but even the FW updates do not work...
Hmm... any suggestion why I can't write CD or DVD?
I followed the suggestion given in my previous posts on the same problem of CD, but of no use writing finally! I would like to see the day where I can at least write a simple CD using my toshiba tecraA4. !

I only have an idea why you can't record CDs or DVDs
    1. the player is default
    2. you have Sonic DLA installed. If so, uninstall it. The program changes RW optical drives of a hard disk. This is why written CD fail. There is no way optical writing as nero or whatever you use.

  • Setup does not recognize driver not

Howdy, well, I'm getting more and more desperate. I'm reinstalling XPPro on my xw8000. As you know, you need to press F6, wait a little and then you will be prompted to load the SCSI drivers, downloaded from HP, put it on a floppy disk. Then I get "txtsetup.oem be found." I used numorous diskettes and re-uploaded the driver many times. I did this same procedure that precedes a happy successfully, so I don't understand what's not this time. Does anyone know?

Of after this post, format the disk in the computer you plan to use and then redo the floppy and try it.  Who would have thought it?

  • New project does not recognize my shortcuts windows

When I go to create a new project, all the Windows shortcuts are ignored. Shortcuts are visible if I use the DOCUMENT OPEN, but no NEW DOCUMENT.

Is it a characteristic I turn on?

With the help of first Pro cs4 version 4.21.

    Thanks in advance!

The "Open a project" dialog box is a dialog open/save of standard Windows.  Shortcuts are available in this dialog box.  PR uses this dialog box because you open a file.

The dialog box 'Rent' is a standard Windows browse for folder dialog box.  Shortcuts do not appear because they are files, not folders.  You will notice that any other type of file no is displayed, either.  PR uses this dialog box because you choose a location (folder) in which to store your new project file.  The new project file will have the name you put in the name field, and it will be stored in the folder chosen for the location.

It is standard Windows stuff, and any application that opens a file dialog box to search for will behave in the same way.  It is not just PR.

If you want the behavior to change, and then file a feature request for the control of the situation open a dialog "Browse to the files or folders", which expected to show shortcuts.

  • My first 6 does not recognize formats jpg more after reinstallation of Windows 7.

I also reinstalled first 6 but without result. Can someone give me a hint

You are able to open the JPG file in Photoshop?

  • Want to reinstall XP but the computer does not recognize the cd drive and does not allow for any installation.

Accidentally deleted some system files and now the computer won't allow me to install anything. Tried to install a new cd player to replace a corrupt, but it does not recognize drive. All the driver and OS install CD. Help.

    Fix missing files:

Try to run the checker system (CFS) files.  Press start, select run, type: SFC/scannow

SFC will ask your installation disc (which you must have if you are going to re - install), put it in the drive when requested.  Leave the SFC to replace all missing or corrupt files.

    To resolve the startup problem:

Check your BIOS Setup and make sure the optical drive is enabled and listed before the hard drive in the boot order.  When you start, there will be a message, "type any key to boot from the CD-ROM."  Type any key (execpt shift, shift caps lock, NumLock, etc) will cause the CD to be initialized in the installation program.  (I use the space bar, it's an easy target.)

In addition, it would be useful to know a few more things: 1) what edition and service pack level of Windows XP you are running?  (2) what is the model and manufacturer of the optical drive, please?

  • 7 Prime Minister does not recognize camera dv

First 7 does not recognize DV Canon camera for capture. Computer is quad-core 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, HDD 1 G; connection is via firewire. Windows and explore both recognize that camera is connected but is not the Prime Minister. When I started trying to capture, I was able to get a few seconds of the video, now nothing, but even then I had to use DV camera manual control... so it behaves as if it is not connected, even if the computer it says it. I installed the card with the firewire connection when I bought the computer, so I thought that maybe it is not properly connected, but the computer would recognize the camera if the firewire connection was not good?

I tried the camera with the same firewire connection on my old computer (dual core 32-bit, 4 GB RAM) and capture worked fine.

    Appreciate any help. Thank you.

I agree with John. There are several advantages to on videotape as a source of edition.

Don't let not this minor setback swing you! As you work, you will find that Premiere Elements like miniDV footage and works more effectively with him! (BTW, so do video editors on the Mac).

I have a problem because my satellite A200-1AE with Microsoft Vista does not recognize the USB 2.0 flash drive. He asks me a program/software!
The same USB works without problem on other computers with vista!

    Someone knows what to do?

    Hello

First of all, you must disconnect all USB devices and must remove the USB ports and controllers in the Device Manager.
After this procedure, you must restart the laptop. After a new restart the Vista operating system should recognize the USB ports and should reinstall USB drivers again.

Then you must update the Vista to the State! All fixes and patches must be installed. Please note that you will have to visit the MS Update site for all patches

Notes; MS has released a beta of Vista SP1. I installed it on my laptop and it has solved several problems.
