  • Windows Phone Scam 19/03/12

I received a call from someone who said they were by Windows. They asked my computer acted insane (he had) so I listened. I thought it was suspicious that the display of the phone number was a Seattle area number (206) 456-0661 but when I asked the man named Justin when he called, he said somewhere to the East. I thought it was a scam, so I asked for a callback number. He gave me the number (315) 636-4810 and when they answered, I asked and was transferred to Justin. He sounded like he was from the India and I could hear the backround sounded like a call center. I stupidly gave my ID to the computer and it started fishing around my computer. Employment of sales came and I knew it was a scam. My question is that he does not have access to my computer? I haven't used this computer since. I called the local FBI Office and was surprisingly said, "they don't handle this." Someone tell me if my information is at risk if you please. What should I do?

I live in Switzerland and tonight was a call similar to the one described above and told him her phone number and he gave the same as above, but he said he was calling from New York. He wanted to fish around some of my files on the computer and told him '' not possible. '' Then I started to ask him some hard questions and he hung up. If the FBI does not investigate these people and what they do, then who will do it?

  • A problem of virus scam or reality?

I received a phone call tonight of a person in India claiming to represent the "official Software Services Provider for Windows. He said there was a new form of malware that was undetectable by software viruses or malware, but he said he would help me to eliminate the threat. He said that he was not selling anything, but I hung up on him because it sounded too many fish (I can't get the service customer to answer the phone within a reasonable time, and still less to call me personally.) I'm sure it was a scam but wanted to check and see if there is a small chance that there could be a serious problem, I need the address. You have an idea?

It is a well known scam, Microsoft knows well. With
all names and phone numbers, who becomes very common
    lately.

In addition to their money get on your part to do anything of any value,
If you leave them in your computer, which knows what losses they did are

So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
    immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.
    2. change all of your passwords, especially banks or other

  • Scam of Remoting. What they see?

So I fell for the scam of tech support, but my mom ended the call when they wanted $100. I just followed the instructions that the guy on the phone told me after I called them when I saw a pop up alert. I allowed the guy remotely to MacBook Air from my mother, who has her iCloud connected to it. A day after the remote access, my mother went to his notes on his iPhone and I saw that she had only three left instead of eighteen she had of the scam. I wanted to know if they were able to access his notes that are on her iCloud without knowing me. She has credit card information notes. Also, is it possible for them to continue access to distance even after closing of logmein?

  • Update Service Apple emails (scam?)

    Hi guys!

I just wanted to see if someone else has to do these emails lately, and I'm curious to know if they are a scam. I have not said or done anything with them because they are not legitimate for me. I'm 3 in total, including one to an email address that I don't even have an Apple ID, attached to. They are all slightly different, but they usually all say the same thing (example below with correct grammar, punctuation, writing, etc.):

    iCloud ID - censored

It's the last observation to inform you that as of 02 - Sep - 2016 you have not yet updated your iCloud ID information. According to modulation "Know your Customer (kyc)" Apple is required by standards to implement a validation of your information, fault what will result in saving of your Apple ID in the next three days. (of course, going on 3 days and I still have access to my Apple ID)

Please go to the > >

Check your ID iTunes > (clickable link) (the second email says 'Check your iCloud ID' here; the third email to the email address that has no Apple ID is "check your ID iTunes ')

Petition of resolution of Validation: (9 numbers, clickable link)

Then, there is a black box at the bottom of the email that says "the image you requested does not exist or is no longer available. imgur.com.

There are other clickable links in the bottom, like 'My Apple ID', 'Support', 'Privacy Policy'... then there Copyright 2016 iTunes Sarl 31-33, street Sainte Zithe L-2763 Luxembourg all rights reserved.

I dunno guys... it seems shady to me. No matter which otherwise get something similar, or know what it is? Thanks in advance!

Check the grammar. He is a fake and bad.

  • iCloud password reset scam e-mail?

Received an email from Apple, as never before, to an alternative e-mail, not my address to iCloud.  He said: "you recently requested a password reset or unlock your Apple ID", with links.  Being suspicious of both the message sent to my other account and grammar, I did follow links in the email.  Am I right in thinking it will be a scam?

It seems certainly doubtful, so I encourage you to report it.
