  I have a datagrid move with a few lines in it. But the height of the grid is higher than the number of lines... How can I fix the height number of lines. That is, if the number of lines is 5 then the height shall be determined in accordance with that.

• issues table: table height <>- line

  Hello

  (1) I'll put the height of a table by using the ATTR_NUM_VISIBLE_ROWS attribute. A typical result is shown in the attached picture

  

  As seen, there are extra height between the lowest rank and the table frame, or, phrased differently, there is the visual appearance of a double line. In my opinion, this is not consistent (there is no line left or right twice...) and must be changed: don't shoot no bottom line for the rank lowest and consequently reduce the height of the table.

  Or is it possible to avoid this problem?

  (2) another optical bug: the bottom line of lines and line labels is drawn inconsistently, too, refer to the figure of gridview OR sample:

  

  As you can see the black line of the lines below is the gray lines of the labels line

• ADF problems Table height. Need to auto height adjustment.

  Hi all
  I have a picture of the ADF. But its height is now adjusted automatically according to the number of lines.
  Regardless of the number of lines, the height is fixed. It leaves a huge part of the empty space if there are a few lines, or it has a scroll bar if they are too many.

  and I would like to have all the lines that have been displayed with no additional white space or the scroll bar.

• N00b question - setting Table height

  I have a table inside a layer, I want to put this table to have let say 10 columns and I want the height of the entire table to 100 px.
  What is happening is that the table does not change its size, what is happening, it is that the table is bigger then the div itself in the page.

  For your question, you can't set a height for the table. A table will be extended to
  show everything that is inside.

  You can control the height of the div, and if the div expands to show the content.
  or hides the content that passes over. This is set with the overflow:
  attribute (show/hide/auto).

• Set the size of fixed table

  Hello. I am developing a VI to a FPGA target and I'm trying to make sure who is using the VI can specify the size of an array of input when they instantiate (such as by the presence of an entry to the VI who said "maximum table size" or something). So far, it seems that the only way to do something like this is to go into the VI himself and manually set the size of table for each entry in the table for the VI (open the VI, do a right-click on each input array, select 'Set the size Dimension', choose 'fixed', set number of items). I would like to have a point where I can set the size of all tables at once (as in my case, they are all the same size) and let the person using the VI set it to the right size for which application they use it for (to be clear, let's say I have two uses for this VI and in one case (, I have a table of entry of size 100 and other use of size 1000, I would like to be able to put these in some way rather than do it through the dialog box). Thank you.

  It's a little more work, but it could be a case of good use for a memory block on the FPGA.  Make it bigger you wait, you need, and then store the actual number of items somewhere.  This will allow you to vary the amount of data without consuming large amounts of FPGA resources on an oversized table.

• Text entry in the Table, height of automatic resizing to insert content

  I have a table with a variety of components inputText several rows, most of them with the attribute @row the value 2.
  
  However, one of these fields has sometimes wordy content. Is it possible to configure the component InputText AutoSize himself (and line) at a height that displays the entire contents without scroll bars? In other words, is there a way to set the text box/column/table, so that the height of the text in each line box auto-tailles to display all content.
  
  I am aware of a brute force method to set line attribute of the 10 inputText; However, since most of the time the text can be inserted into the 2 or 3 rows, assigning 10 wastes a lot of real estate.

• Tables - height of row and cell INSET

  I'm working on ascript to do the following:

  1 put the first row of every table in my doc on these parameters:

  • Height of row = .25in
  • Top and bottom Inset = .04in

  2. put the rest of the cells in these settings:

  • Row height = .12in
  • Top and bottom Inset = .12in

  Here is where I am:

  Indeed there is a parenthesis of additional locking on this line in the screenshot (but not in your lines of the sample).

  each could work... For... loop expects a number of end-simple but you feed it with a table of all the lengths of line of the individual tables.

  If this does not work turn around your script. All the heights of line and the boxes using the value

  app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem().rows.everyItem().topInset = ".12 in";
  

  and after this, run the lines to make the adjustments of the top row.

  (Use 'Advanced editor' to be able to define syntax highlighting Javascript-, it makes your code a little more readable).

  Hello

  The af:table component has a property named autoHeightRows, the number, you set this property to match the maximum number of lines that displays the table prior to the addition of a vertical scroll bar. Secondly, when this property is set, the table will be reduced to adjust the number of rows less than the value of autoHeightRows.

• Shortcut to fixed cell height

  Hi guys,.

  Is it possible to have a style or a shortcut that make a cell from a height fixed? Cmd + 1 for example, to transform a cell to a cell of 8mm height. That would be helpful, I am a list of 10 pages and past one by one on the cells is too long and frustrating if I want to change the height in the future.

  Of course, but you must use a script.

  Here's a 1 line script:

  app.selection[0].insertionPoints[0].parent.parentRow.height="8mm";
  

  Save it in your Scripts folder as row8mm.jsx and then go to the keyboard shortcuts, Scripting area and assign a command key.

  Note the script is a bit tricksy - it must be the first PointInsertion associted with the first selection, then takes it's parent (a cell), then the parentRow and defines. In other words, it works at once if the current "selection" is an insertion point, it is that the slider is just sitting there. so, as if you selected whole cells. On the other hand, it fails if you have several cells in different selected lines. Compromise...

  Shut up if you need that.

• Proportional column width vs fixed tables (conversion of Ventura)

  Hello, all! I'm busily conversion (Finally, rebuild is a better word) Lighthouse weekly newsletter of our company publication of Ventura 10 for InDesign CS4 (PC version), while learning InDesign on the fly. About half of the publication resumed with tables of prices of 1,600 price guide. I read what I can on the tables, because they are so essential to our production process, and I quickly (sometimes 15 minutes of approval of copy/final price to get the file to the printer or emailing to subscribers).

  My question: am I right that there is no way to set a proportional column width in InDesign? In Ventura (for the non-Venturians there), I can set one of the columns as proportional. Then I can set the columns where I don't want the width to change as fixed and define the width of each separately (left column is 2, 11.900pp, a gutter is 0.6, etc.). Table resize all proportional columns, and the table is set up to fill the frame in which it is.

  I find I have to resize the columns individually, just as the word and then try to make sure that the entire table extend beyond the frame. I also find that I can not select noncontiguous columns to set them to distribute columns evenly. Since I rarely proportional columns right next to each other, I can't use this feature, most of the time.

  I want to just make sure that I only am not missed something as a novice to InDesign. In the example below, the columns 1, 5, 6 and 10 are proportional (in color, so they can be easily seen here). Then I size just the width of these columns, and everything else set proprtionally with a width equal to fill the frame. Any way to do with InDesign?

  Unfortunately, no. Miss me also the proportional column width.

  As you discovered, Indesign does not limit the width of the table in the width of the frame. So even if there was a setting to "fill the remaining space", it wouldn't work because Indesign is not a way to know what is the remaining space.

• Reduce the height of a row or a table (was: so this does not not the case...)

  I'm a guy who likes to understand things for me and have browsed the web for the last 2 days, but can't seem to even approach an answer. I am extremely frustrated.

  Where to insert a table, or import a spreadsheet or tabular information, I cannot draw down the line or table height, beyond a some point. No matter what I try: CSS, properties of cell, manages... nothing. Help, please.

  I have no problem setting the width of tables and cells, but cannot, for the life of shorten me the line height to where I need it.

  In addition, each tutorial I read/seen that inserts a table shows the newly imsetred table with a height of normal line... barely higher then the text itself. In mine, the height of my cells is perhaps 5 times more than what I need it to be. I can't diminish for the life of me.

  the picker wildcard (*) applies to each tag and it contains the definition of the cells in table to 100px from the top.

• Boolean Build table

  I am struggling to determine why the value of the only Boolean value below isn't concatinated to the arrary annexed table build?

  I understand that it isn't an arrary but a shift register value. But surely I can use this value T/F and added it to the array version some how.  Please advise I think I'm going crazy: manembarrassed:

  You always have a point of stress on Indicator0001.  As you now convert a U8 in an array of Boolean, but indicator 0001 shows only 4 elements.  It is safe for me to think that your meter is somehow an array of fixed size?

  I would avoid using a fixed table data type.  If you want to only 4 items in table 8 original item, then use Array subset to get only the items you want.  Then all your calculations later works and is displayed correctly.
