Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the latest version of the device software.

  Just got a "BOLD", updated to the latest version of the software now just get a white screen white, taken from battery and released, get a white screen with the hour glass and then all white white screen.

  If you've waited at least 5 minutes, but no progress on the white screen, then you probably need reload operating system. Here is a procedure...

  Hello, I had trouble loading my 9810. When I plug my phone into the charger bolt does not show up on top of the battery, instead I get the usb on the battery symbol. I have to keep unplugging and then plugging my phone and after several tries the bolt comes and it starts to charge my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

  Looks like the USB port is damaged, and that's why it does not load. It is possible, it can be temporarily fixed by bending down to where it is supposed to be, but it is definitely damaged. It may be a good idea to talk to your carrier and see if they will cover under warranty.

  Good then today I swapped from a 7130e to a 8330 (verizon)

  I managed to remove the old political security using Jl_Cmder (which worked fine) and I got rid of the firewall so issue.

  I downloaded the new update to Blackberry Device Software v5.0 yesterday, and I discovered that my Blackberry Messenger has disappeared.  Here's what I tried to get it back (and none of them worked):

  1A tried to 'restore' my BBM several times

  2 reset (pull out the battery) on my phone several times

  3. delete the "restore BBM" button/option (which, for whatever reason, deleted my application AppWorld) and re-installed BBM

  I managed to get the phone in safe mode after you restart it (by pulling on the battery and after putting in I held the esc for 1-2 minutes press key) then it started in safemode, now I'm wiping the machine and it should work.

  downloaded a BB Desktop Manager again yesterday and subsequently a new version for the 9810 by DTM software.  The 9810 has worked very well all the day and closure as normal last night but this morning restart - continuously, sometimes open a text menu instead of the frontscreen and told me that (almost) all applications are missing - the only one I can use the calculator!

  I have soft started, fully powered down and removed the battery but do not have the options or the Menu set-up to reset the device...

  Any ideas?

  Okay okay, let's try a new installation of the operating system.  Please follow the instructions below and let us know how make you out.

  Download an application on your computer called BBSAK (BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife). You use it to wipe the operating system of your device. You can get it here: www.bbsak.org

  Download the latest OS for your device, which I think you said that you already have.

  Connect your device to your PC and start BBSAK. It will ask you a password. If you don't have a game for your device, simply click OK.

  Choose the option to wipe device. Once completed, you will be left with a blank screen and an app 507 error, which means that the wipe has been a success.

  Unplug your unit.

  On your PC, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common research in Motion\AppLoader. Delete the file in the lower part called vendor.xml.

  Connect your device.

  In this same folder as shown above, there is an executable file called Loader (has a small telephone next to him). Double click on that and it will start loading your OS.

  Yes, get a wall charger and plug it in. USB charge only the phone if there is always some charge in the battery. USB, will show a red light but won't load at all because the PC must identify the phone before charging starts.
