  I was wondering if there is an automated way to create descriptive flexfields in forms. We have a FDF (Asset attributes) with potentially hundreds of segments according to the context. It would be very tedious to create. We could use Dataload but I was wondering if there is no other alternative. BTW, we're on 11i.

• Direct Descriptive Flexfields update on the table HR_ALL_POSITIONS_F

  Hello! I am currently developing something that requires the HR_ALL_POSITIONS_F Table.

  I have a test instance that is a clone of our Live/Production environment. They have the same values in HR_ALL_POSITIONS_F.

  I added a FDF for ATTRIBUTE1 value ~ ATTRIBUTE4 of HR_ALL_POSITIONS_F in our Test environment.

  I would now like to migrate these values in the direct environment.

  Is it preferable that I directly update the values of the ATTRIBUTES to help

  UPDATE HR_ALL_POSITIONS_F

  ATTRIBUTE1 SET = VAL1,

  ATTRIBUT2 = VAL2,

  ATTRIBUT3 = VAL3,

  ATTRIBUTE4 = VAL4

  WHERE = WHERECLAUSE;

  I was also looking for a comand FNDLOAD for these de FACTO forces, but I can't find.

• Descriptive Flexfield showing is not the data in the table

  We have install the descriptive flexfield "Receiving information" in accounts receivable (AR_CASH_RECEIPTS_ALL) to display extra information transmitted through the Lockbox Interface of receivables. It is only activated for 1 org_id particular and not based on any set of values. When import us data into the AR_CASH_RECEIPTS_ALL table through the interface data existing in these fields to attribute in the table does not appear in the de FACTO forces in the form of revenue. When changing the reception through the form and registration of reception data are also deleted from the table. After running a script to update to fill these fields again the data is displayed in the FDF in the form, then the form seems to behave normally (all changes are displayed in the FDF). It seems somehow the link between the FDF and the table is only "on" after you save the receipt via the form.
  Someone has come across something like this before and have an idea of what could be the cause? Don't know if this is the right forum for this kind of question, but seemed the most appropriate.

  Have you setup for the FDF contexts?
  I believe that this is happening because you are not populate the attribute_category correctly.
  Look at the field of attribute_category through SQL before opening the form.
  Open, and then save the form.
  Now, look at the value again.

• Request concerning the sequence of updates for the Windows Update client in 2015

  I posted a query similar to this on a Microsoft Technet forum, but I have not yet received a response to the specific question that I asked.  I'm trying so this forum.

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, but I did not intend to accept the free update of Windows 10.  I don't use automatic updates.  I use Windows Update manually and select the updates to install, even for these updates identified as Important.

  Since April 2015, there was a sequence of updates for the client Windows Update on Windows 7 (Windows 8).  I have the Windows 7 of those below list:

  KB2990214 (April 2015)

  KB3050265 (June 2015)

  KB3065987 (July 2015)

  KB3075851 (August 2015)

  KB3083324 (September 2015)

  KB3083710 (October 2015)

  KB3102810 (November 2015)

  KB3112343 (December 2015)

  (This list is probably less intimidating than it looks because the replaced October update Update September, which replaced the August update, which replaced the July update, which replaced the June updated.  "There are therefore basically just 4 updates.)

  The big question is, given that Windows 7 is available for several years, why, all of a sudden, there was this sequence of updates for the Windows Update client?  Because these updates began to occur at the time when the offer of a free upgrade to Windows 10 was announced, I could be forgiven for thinking that all of these updates are really directed towards the relaxation of the upgrade to Windows 10 via Windows Update, and that there is little or no advantage to systems that are not upgrading.  I am mistaken in this belief?  If not, precisely those who will benefit from my system, even if it is not upgraded to Windows 10?

  The updates that I currently installed, depending on the installed updates, are KB2990214 (April 2015), KB3075851 (August 2015), KB3083324 (September 2015) and KB3083710 (October 2015).

  In my view, there was a lack of transparency in the descriptions of these updates in the KB articles.  And, in one or two cases, information on the importance of an update in the article and in Windows Update has been inconsistent.  It would have been much clearer if each KB article stated for NOT upgrading to Windows 10 systems, if the update to the Windows Update client is important, as an option or completely irrelevant.

• PC does not restart after the restart for the recent updates of windows

  The other day after a windows update and restart my laptop is no longer starts.  It's a HP Pavillion Entertainment moidel with an I7 processor with windows 7 Home premium.  Initiually I see the HP logo, and then the welcome 'Please wait' screen - just like a normal restart onb - words but and the screen remains completely black and a rectangle appears which says "establishment of the custom settings for windows desktop update"-, then nothing happens for hours - nothing.

  no icons-no possibility to any what - all was going well until the reboot for updates of windows.

  Try the methods.

  Method 1:

  I suggest to disconnect all external devices except the keyboard, mouse and screen and check if the problem persists.

  I would like to get the content (depending on the value of context) some attributes of FDF.

  The descriptive flexfield is JG_PO_VENDORS. You can see on the EBS R12.

  I used the following code in the controller:

  	String attr6Value = (String) attr6.getValue (pageContext);
  	String attr7Value = (String) attr7.getValue (pageContext);
  	String attr8Value = (String) attr8.getValue (pageContext);

  The code of the controller above works fine with a simple flexfield that has no more context values.

  If the FDF has more context values, as we see in the form of Directors flexfield, we have the column "Code":

  Global data items

  CODE1

  CODE2

  CODE 3...

  I want to find attributes in the value of context 'Code 3' 6-7-8, for example.

  The code above the controller concludes the flexfield but cannot reach the attributes of the context code 3 and I get a NullPointerException on the line that gets the value of the attribute:

  Please, can you tell me how to search for a given context value segments?

  However be careful to the;

  If the structure of DFF or order FDF even activate change indicator, you must modify your code (the beans, the item id) also, otherwise you get a null pointer exception. That's why I always try to get the values of the current row of the vo.

  The problem is most likely an attempt to update a system malfunction prior it is probably a problem with your computer, not the El Capitan.

  Start by:

  Reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

  MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

  Start in Safe Mode , and then re - start normally. It's slower that a normal start, so be patient.

  If you are unable to start;

  Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive

  Please make sure that you back up.

  1. Restart the computer. Immediately after that the chime hold down the command and R until the Utility Menu appears.
  2. Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
  3. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) entry of the volume in the list aside.

  TAB through the fields that exist. It is the function of the TAB.

  Otherwise you could never use TAB to go out in a field for example: subject. It would create an indefinate number of fields and are unable to function as a TAB key.

  TAB does not back to THE fields,
  New crests to THE fields or donkey typing/selection enter/return address, you can use the selection of mouse click.
