Follow-up in blue marble?
Beginning with OS 10.3.0 (I think) some system applications display the item more important action on the menu bar as a big blue "marble" about twice as large as the bar itself. Does anyone know how to make an element of action display this way in a system not application?
The blue dot ActionItems are what we called the ActionItem Signature. You can read about them here: The ActionBar improved to 10.3

Hello.
I help my friend who has a problem with his computer running Windows 8. It started with his computer, gel and should it reboot.
After the restart, he is greeted by a black screen for about 30 minutes, followed of a BSOD flashin (the smiley one). No error code.I made a bootable USB key with Windows 8 on it, downloaded from the Microsoft Web site. After the start of it, I am presented by Windows 8 logo, a circle of rotation, but then it goes black and after 5 to 30 minutes I am getting the same BSOD.
I tried to disable all I can in the BIOS. The BIOS detects all hardware in the computer.
The computer is a portable computer. ASUS X401a.
I hope someone out there has an answer for me!
Thank you.
/ Carl.Carl
The first thing I would do is to try to boot from the victory 8 dvd. (if you don't have it get a). If your problem of computers is what associated USB then start on a USB key will cause a BSOD.
If this does not help in pulling the HD to put in an envelope and try another computer can help if this does not work on the other computer it can point to the HD as the question.
I would also try vi USB boot using win PE (Google for download site)
IF all of the above do not help it is time to bring it to a professional or to the room if it is under warranty

Hi, I thought that I ask here because I can't seem to find it online.
I use Lightroom 5, and before my sliders temperature would be as follows:
-100-100 blue yellow
-100-100 Green magentaFor some reason, now the blue to the yellow scale is from 2000 to 50000. Magenta to green is always the same.
Can someone help me solve this problem? I literally have no idea what to do!
Now you shooting RAW files.
For JPG and TIFF, the two scales are-100 to 100.
For RAW files, the Temp is 2000 to 50000 and the hue is-150 to + 150.

Blue screen after the recent updates of security for Windows XP SP3.
I got following error messages "Blue screen" after the latest updates from Microsoft:
0X0000007E (0X8053355E, 0XBA4CB50C, 0 X 80000003, $0XBA CB208). I tired to run in all modes of SECURITY but still had the same problem. I ran Dell diagnostics and it came with no error in memory or hard drive. I have a Dell Inspiron B130 w/2 MB of RAM. Does anyone have a solution? The laptop came with no CD boot.

Update caused Windows Blue Screen of Death. Suggested fix does not work.
In February, my Sony Vaio laptop has been updated automatically by Microsoft and now it does not start. I followed all the instructions in this thread
(http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/73cea559-ebbd-4274-96bc-e292b69f2fd1/#e9b28c45-635c-4adf-8d24-817bf39c207b)
but when I get to the point where I need to type some commands, uninstall, My Favorites keys displayed on the screen and I'm unable to type the codes or move forward. As you can tell long time between when this problem occurred and that now, I gave up in frustration for a while but I simply could not live without my cell phone any longer and I'd rather not pay someone to fix this. Any ideas or suggestions?
Hello subvertdonthurt,
All if suggestions published in the forum http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/73cea559-ebbd-4274-96bc-e292b69f2fd1/#e9b28c45-635c-4adf-8d24-817bf39c207b do not work for you, do a restore of the system from the Recovery Console.
Here's how:
Step i. access the recovery by using the OS CD console. As already suggested, you must have your OS CD to repair. (Or the image that you created the instructions above).
To run the Recovery Console from the startup of Windows XP or the Windows XP CD-ROM diskettes, follow these steps:
Insert the diskette of starting Windows XP in the floppy drive, or insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive and restart the computer.
Click to select all of the options required to start the computer from the CD-ROM drive if you are prompted to do so.
When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console and follow the process until you get to the recovery console command prompt.screen.STAGE II. At the Recovery Console prompt, type the following lines (in blue), and then press ENTER after.
1 cd-(Note: between "cd" and "------" there should be an 'empty space' or still command does not work)
2 cd system ~ 1\_resto ~ 1If it gives an error "Access denied" when accessing the folder, follow the method below
CD.
CD windows\system32\config
ren system system.bak
outputRestart the computer, and then follow step I.
3 dir
When you hit
it will list all records of points of restoration as rp1, rp2... we see the last restore point to copy the file from a recent backup. If the restore points have more than one page, then you keep pressing the key to display the last restore point folder. Use the other to the last restore point. (the last restore point is maybe damaged) 4 cd rp {the next to the last restore point only.} (Note: example: cd rp9, if rp9 is the next to the last restore, point where the last restore point n = 9)
5 cd snapshot
Now, the command prompt will look like this c:\system~1\_resto~1\rp9\snapshot > ( Note: restore point 9A assumed for the clarity of the content, you must go to the next to the last restore point folder, as described in the previous lines) now according to the error message to copy the appropriate file in the restore point folder.
6 copy _registry_machine_system c:\windows\system32\config\system
7. Type Exit, and then press ENTER.I hope this helps.

Please suggest me what I should do to fix my probem. I'm not to much expert for the formatting and other things computer. After reading your following suggession:
Here are a few things to try:
The first thing to do is to boot your system and start pressing F8 as soon as it starts booting. You will get the Windows startup options screen. Select "Disable automatic restart in the event of system failure" and let it restart. When it starts, it can now stop with an error screen and give an error message and code.Disconnect all external devices (printers, USB Hub, drives external, etc.) and try to start.
I got the result of the error that comes on a blue screen after you follow your process-blue screen with STOP error 0x0000007B (0xBA4CF524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Original title: Blue Screen of Death After adjusting TCP/IPv4-adapter
Hi all
I bought a new USB wireless internet and after installing it, it automatically connects to our network, but fails to connect to the internet. Hello
Power problems can cause strange things, however if the system is connected to a/c which should not be a problem.
Two main causes of this blue screen video drivers and BIOS - check with system manufacturer site for
View of the adapter (video) and BIOS, then on site of the manufacturer of the device for the last video. There may be other drivers
in order to check there. DISABLE the auto-pilot plant as those who are older and if updates Windows suggests
a pilot just HIDE. Antivirus is another possibility.See methods of update driver generic in the next message.

Cause
Bug KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED control is a very common bug control. To interpret it, you must identify which exception has been generated.
Common exception codes are:
- 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates that a memory access violation has occurred.
Solve the problem
If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques:
- Make sure you have enough disk space.
- If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
- Try changing video cards.
- Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
- Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.
If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2 (the address of the exception) should identify the driver or function that caused the problem.
If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following:
- Hardware incompatibility. Ensure that all new equipment installed is listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.
- Service driver or defective peripheral system. A chauffeur service or defective peripheral system could be responsible for this error. The hardware problems, such as BIOS incompatibilities, conflicts of memory and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.
If the verification of the message bug list a driver by name, disable or remove that driver. In addition, disable or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.
If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third-party remote control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the system startup service using the recovery and then Console by removing the offending system service file.
Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver responsible for control of bug 0x1E. You can disable the cache in memory of the BIOS to try to resolve the error. You must also run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.
The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or after installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and the system BIOS incompatibilities. For any problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with lack of disk space, reduce the number of files on the hard disk drive target. Search and delete temporary files that you do not have to have, files hidden Internet, application backup files and files saved .chk , which contain fragments of files on disk scans. You can also use an another hard disk drive with more free space for the installation.
You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS

Still CS 4 for Mac - error generating Blu Ray (drive, folder and Image)
When you try to generate a new project, I get the following error:
"Blu ray"Filename"object export file not found."
How can this be corrected?
Thank you.
I don't KNOW that it will help, but see my response here Encore CS4 (version 4.0.0.258) won't finish burning on blu - ray disc when using a menu template. DVD burning works fine. Anyone know the problem with blu - ray player? HELP!

Hi all
I have a yet simple project that is successfully burning a dvd, image file and the dvd folder. Now, I want to do the same thing except build the project for a blu - ray release. (Video files source I have are hi-def). I don't have a blu - ray burner, but I still want to produce a blu - ray disc image file and a folder of blu - ray disc as in the future when I get a blu - ray burner, I can simply burn the image or folder on the blu - ray disc. I use Encore CS5.5 in windows 7.
Then, I put the project of construction of blu - ray image file and I get the following error:
"Blu - ray error:"Invalid Format", Code 13, Note:" errors in some GSP: the end time of the previous display is set on near beginning to succeed all the display, see the log for more information "." I get the error even though I am trying to build a blu - ray folder. I also tried this construction project on a Mac (also with CS5.5 Encore), but get the same error. How can I fix this error, or is anyone know what could be the problem? the menu of the dvd I have is simple: 2 menus, 1 audio stream, subtitle 1, 1 main video stream and 2 videos of little "trailer".
(I can sand anyone track log if you want it to)
Thank you!

Hi - I think I have fixed the problem. Basically, I found that some of my subtitles were too close together and so I have separated by 5 images 'standards' apart and all built very well. We hope in the future if anyone else has this error, they can find this message and try this solution.
"BTW, does anyone know if the rule of subtitle ' 5 frames apart ' for subtitles adjacent is just one more thing from adobe, or all the professional authoring software require the same thing?
Thanks for reading this post.

Y at - it an indicator to show how much my mac started from?
I just cloned my internal hard drive, so I should have 2 bootable volumes now. I went to test (to ensure that the cloned disk works and is able to start properly my iMac). I restarted the iMac using the down option. I chose the clone of startup, but now I can not tell how much actually started.
I mean, if my cloned drive did not work, my iMac would automatically go to the next to start from option (which would be my original internal drive), and I don't know the difference.
Y at - it a flag somewhere showing me my iMac is running the operating system out of the volume? I just want to be sure that my cloned drive works before you make changes to the internal drive...

Pavilion dv9810us: computer HP Pavilion dv9810us laptop will not start
Reminder: a few days before my laptop does not start up, all using the laptop, the screen has become, I guess the technical term would be 'nuts': horizontal lines an inch in height, made of blocks quickly black and white, all changing left and right, and I could see my spreadsheet in the background. Could not do something about the problem, so I rebooted and it worked fine.
Then a few days after that, I tried to turn on my laptop, and occurred the following:
(1) blue illuminated switch, control all the keys lit in blue (volume, skip, repeat, DVD...), fan began and heard the dvd begins to check for a disc. This lasted for about 2 seconds.
(2) off laptop (all lights extinguished, no fan noise or a dvd). This lasted for about 5 seconds.
then it would just repeat steps 1 & 2 times: start 2 seconds, stop for 5...
Steps that my work to correct (without success):
-J' I disconnected and removed the battery. Let stand a few minutes. After I have inserted the battery and reconnected, I pressed the power button. Same 2 steps as shown above (lit for 2 seconds, turn off for 5, repetition) happened.
-saw a post on the site of HP on a hard reset. so I unplugged, removed the battery, which is held from the Start button / stop for 20 seconds. then replugged (without inserting the battery) and power on. Same 2 steps above happened (lit for 2 seconds, off for 5, repetition...).
-J' I reset memory as someone on the HP Board has suggested:
(1) remove the two memory, then replace both in the correct order.
Result: same problem (2 seconds 5 seconds, repeat...)
(2) remove the top memory (1 GB), bottom (2 GB) by leaving in place.
Result: same problem...
(3) place 1 GB memory on the bottom, nothing over the top.
Result: same problem...
From the above information, no idea what the source of the problem is, and how to fix it?
It would be to remove the motherboard and "re-invest" the video chip with a heat gun. Configure you with a shield from sheet aluminium with the chip pushing through like dessert in a TV dinner. There are many tutorials online, but like anything else go you better the more you do and the first time is risky. Repair shops using a better process called "reballing", which is basically rebuild the chip and requires hardware, that no individual can afford to have.
Access to the old hard drive is easy. Physically, remove it from the machine.
https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=B3tAGVzCS7w
