  When I anchor the laptop in the Replicator, that is not automatically connecting external 700gig USB backup HDD, I have either pull the USB cable on the Replicator, or disable the drive HARD and again so he can be seen and recognized.

  Seems that Win 7 is unable to recognize the external HARD drive that is already connected to the port replicator.

  I just bought a Tecra M3 and a port replicator III. When undocked the M3 connects to my WiFi without problem and remains connected. • Tecra R850 - Port Replicator problem - no lan at startup

  Hey guys I have a strange bug with a laptop computer Toshiba Tecra R850 customers with the port replicator. He is 8 months old.

  Almost every morning when the client connects to the laptop computer to the Port Replicator port and power and the Windows 7 Desktop on startup it does not create a "LAN" connection (external monitor & USB works well through the Port Replicator).

  I have to get the customer to power the laptop off, disconnect the port replicator, disconnect the electric power from the port replicator and then plug everything back in and re - turn on the laptop.

  Here's what I've ruled out so far:
  Port replicator: Replicator port, I've replaced with another unit of users (exact same model), same problem.
  Directly connected LAN: if I connect the LAN directly (i.e. remove the duplicator) I have no problem with the LAN/Internet connection.

  Here is the part number of the laptop and the dock:
  Tecra R850: PT520A-01N003
  Port Replicator II: PA3916A-1PRP

  Any ideas? Could this be a faulty stowage on the phone port?

  Stupid question I know, but it's driving me crazy.

  I have an external keyboard Port duplicator and the attached monitor. The Port Replicator has a wired Ethernet connection to my local network. When I anchor my R830 in Port Replicator, ideally I would like to turn off the wireless adapter, but at least I certainly want the default use of the wired LAN connection not WiFi.

  Currently, it seems just randomly decide to use wired or wireless connection when I anchor.

  So, two part question:

  1. How can I pay the R830 automatically default to an Ethernet cable when I anchor?
  2. How can I turn off Wi - Fi when I am connected and using an external keyboard (the toggle F8 to activate wireless switch on the keyboard of the laptop does not work on external keyboards)

  Well, in this case, you can use the internal keyboard to turn off the WiFi using Fn + F8

  I have a laptop Vaio of Fischer-FS742/W and that you want to use a port replicator port VGP-PRFS10V with it, but the laptop requires a driver. I lost the driver when I had to clean the hard drive to get rid of a virus. Anyone know where I can get the driver? The Sony site isn't any software to offer with this model port replictor.   There is no driver needed for the Replicator.  You run Windows XP on it?  If you have upgraded to Windows Vista, 7, or 8, please use the on-board recovery partition or recovery media disks to reinstall the original XP OS.  This particular model is not supported for any OS except XP.

  After the system recovery, go to http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=VGNFS742W&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=download#/do...

  Download all of the updates for the PC.

  You should then be able to use the Replicator.

  I don't have a manual for my docking station. What is the procedure of disconnection from my Tecra laptop, please? I see a button on the right side of the dock next to a green LED and the 'Sign-out' icon appears in the start menu. If I loose, is my LAN connection automatically restored when I snaps again?

  I also use Tecra with docking station and please always do it on this path:

  When you want to remove it from the docking station laptop, click START > DISCONNECT the COMPUTER (close to Log off and close button). If you press it a little window to disconnect the computer occur. The option eject the PC chose and wait a second.
  The connection is interrupted and you can remove it using small hand gear on the delicate side.

  If you put the laptop in a docking station so that the connection to the local network will be established automatically just after a few seconds.

  I ve a Toshiba tecra M7 in recent years and have just bought a brand new sealed express duplicator II model PA3680E (docking station) but unfortunately it does not work and a new replacement, sent by the provider does not work.

  What's happening:
  With docking station connected to the start; nothing happens, and the Green dock light stays off.

  Windows when I put the tecra m7 on the dock it connects and disconnects immediately then will not reconnect. The power of power port, the lan port and the power switch work on the dock, but I understand that these are just happening through connections. The Green led power lights up also for less than a second.

  For example, when I do a connection hot, windows is connection chime followed immediately by a chime of disconnection and restores, also all USB connected devices flick-on and immediately off the coast.

  I ve tried under the original Toshiba windows XP install (with the latest Toshiba) and a fresh install of windows 7 (fully updated with all the update from Toshiba). BIOS is the latest available 3.50 (also tried 1.70 & 3.20 bios). tried bios USB legacy on and outside.

  Can someone please help

  If the led does not light green, so I guess that the laptop is not connected correctly.

  I have a Tecra M11 11 L with Windows 7 32-bit and an Express Port Replicator II docking station.

  When I plug my external speakers into the 3.5 mm plug on the laptop side, they work very well and the internal Laptop speakers are correctly muted.
  When I have the laptop dock and connect the external speakers to the Jack on the dock, I hear no external speaker but I get the sound from the internal speakers (i.e. they are is more silent).

  I did some research and some Dell users report the same problem with their docking stations after the upgrade to Windows 7, which suggests that this could be a driver problem Windows 7, rather than a faulty docking station.

  Someone at - it ideas?

  Well the Tecra9100 is not a Portege M200. Are completely different books.
  The M200 protected does not support these interfaces.
  This is a technical limitation, that the port of mouse PS/2 keyboard PS/2 port, serial port, I Link (Firewire) port and DVI port
  will be not supported on the Advanced Port Replicator III, if a protected M200 is moored.

  The following ports are supported and can be used:
  Line-in Jack, taken Line-out, USB port, port external monitor, parallel port, taken Modem, LAN jack, DC IN 15V, housing for security lock, locking the computer.
