Forms 11g with Arabic problem

Dear,

I've finally finished the installation of forms and reports portals 11g on windows xp sp3 with 3g ram, I was using suite 10 g and all things are good.

I recompiled all forms with g 11 and running after making all the necessary configurations, the application runs successfully, but in any text field that contains Arabic characters when I update and add a digital flip characters Arabs and cann't be read correctly as this link [http://www.4shared.com/photo/MDEsXMSN/11g_problem_with_arabic.html]

Concerning

Yes, we do. We have no problem with Arabic characters in our forms. Maybe these settings will help you:

-in default.env-online NLS_LANG = ARABIC_EGYPT. AR8MSWIN1256
-database of characters-online AR8MSWIN1256

question: what font do you use in your forms?

  • Can I use Oracle Forms 11g with 9.2.0.8.0 Data Services?

    Hello world.

    My Department is evaluating the development tools to create new web applications and possibly migrate current buit applications with Oracle Forms 6.0.5.34.0. Our database is Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - 64 bit.

    We read that the new version of Oracle Forms is Oracle Forms Services 11 g. Is Oracle Forms 11g compatible with Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 Services - 64 bit? or we will have to migrate our Oracle 11g RDBMS?

    If our database is compatible, what would we have needed to develop and deploy applications with Oracle Forms 11 g Services?

    Thanks in advance.

    That it is compatible or not: 9.2.0.8 database is supported, which means you get patches for it. So even if it's compatible I would opt to upgrade to a newer version, because I wouldn't feel uncomfortable that the product is not supported by out in production.

    Take a look at the matrix of certification for the supported configurations

    With regard to the requirements; most of the stuff is on the forms OTN homepage:

  • Problem with forms 11g

    Hi all
    I installed 11g on Win2003 R2 Forms and the facility is clean and everything works fine. The WLS_FORMS starts without a problem on port 9001 and when I asked his status through the http://localhost:9001 / forms he answers forms listener is running. My problem is that when I try to run my simple form I created by form 11g, the browser page comes with nothing in it. It shows no error message or anything that might be useful, and it does not show the form either!
    The URL that has been set in the forms preferences > DURATION is
    http://[machine_name]:9001/forms/frmservlet?config=other
    'Other' is a section of configuration in formsweb.cfg that I created to be able to run my forms from inside the form builder
    and it contains the following:

    [others]
    separateFrame = False
    LookAndFeel = generic
    UserID = scott/TIGER
    form = module1.fmx

    Does anyone have an idea?

    My best,

    There are many ways in which you can host the plug-in on your own server. The easiest way would be to store the installable in the same Oracle home, in a directory that is already set up with a virtual path. For example, the directory of java forms. Then simply set up your formsweb.cfg to point to your own file rather than the distance.

    Thus, for example in 11 forms, follow these steps:

    1. download the JRE 32 bit on the Java website (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads). For example, 1.6.0_24 is as follows: jre-6u24-windows - i586.exe

    2. copy this file to: C:\Oracle\Middleware\as_1\forms\java

    3. change the configuration of your web (formsweb.cfg) to reflect the change. So, something like this:

    jpi_classid=clsid:CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0024-ABCDEFFEDCBA
    jpi_codebase=/forms/java/jre-6u24-windows-i586.exe#Version=1,6,0,24
    jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.6.0_24
    #
    # YOU NEED TO CREATE A DOWNLOAD PAGE AND STORE IT INTERNALLY FOR NON-IE USERS
    # THE SAME METHOD COULD BE USED - STORE YOUR HTML PAGE IN THE JAVA DIR OR OTHER VIRTUALLY MAPPED LOCATION
    jpi_download_page=/forms/java/myJREdownloads.htm

    For anyone interested to download from a remote server, here are the necessary details for other versions:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/Java/JavaSE/AutoDownload-140472.html

    All the information above applies to earlier versions of forms too.

  • 11G with ASM and RDBMS problem when the server reboot (dependencies)

    Hello

    I just install the new version 11G with ASM for the first time. When I restart my server, RDBMS start before the ASM service isn't over to start. It's like when the care services, CSS and EVM have been replaced by the OH dependencies have been lost. The OH service is started but it's as if he is not optional and others start immediately (ASM and RDBMS).

    Early restart, I see the OHservice started and the DSO after that (on the road), but when the RDBMS starts the instance handle of stay (inactive and not mount) because unit number logic for the catalog of service is not available yet. I see in the alert.log to RDBMS catalog segment is not found or not existing (/ catalog not nfound).

    If I wait about 3 to 5 minutes and restart only the RDMBS all start without problem.

    Is there a way I can adjust the stop with the 11g version service or use the crsctl to indicate to the RDBMS service start only when all the ASM service (MON) segment are mount?

    Thank you

    Normally the database is started by the clusterware and not by the windows service.

    Thus, there could be 2 ways to do this:
    (a.), try to assign the Windows of the database service to manual. It must be started by clusterware.

    If that doesn't work, try this:

    (b) leaving the service to automatic startup (Windows), but disable the automatic start of the database. This you can normally change in the registry
    -Online-online Oracle-online key HKLM => ORACLE__AUTOSTART
    (not 100% sure on the key, but I'm sure that you'll be able to find it.)

    Unfortunately do not have atm WindowsCluster to try it myself.

    Additional please check if your db instance has the correct dependencies defined in the clusterware.
    Make one

    stat ora res crsctl. .db Pei

    and paste it here.

    So good luck...

  • Adobe Myriad Arab problem

    I intend to use the Myriad Arab for our next project, and I was sitting up when I realized that there are serious problems with this font styles. A few ligatures are wrong and diacritics are overlapping letters. Can someone let me know if they have the same problem? If a new version of the font available with these problems fixed upward? Is there a way to report the problem to Adobe to get fixed?

    Michel

    Michel,

    Thanks for the details.

    I tested the fonts in InDesign CS6 Mac and everything worked as expected.

    The alternative form of the Meem also, in fonts already exists; to get it, you will need to use stylistic Set #3.

    See screenshot below.

  • Adobe Arabic do not call the final form of the Arabic text?

    Hello

    I'm creating a journal that is mostly in English, but has an article in Arabic. I use InDesign CS5.5ME and uses Adobe Arabic for the Arabic text 2.006.

    I have a situation in which it appears that InDesign reads a diacritical mark in the middle of a Word as an indication that the word has come to an end.

    In the screenshot below, you can see that the heh ending at each of these four words is preceded by a dal with one or two diacritics. It seems that the diacritics speaker causes InDesign to assume the word is finished, and it is affecting the heh using its isolated form. What my editor tells me, it's the heh must be set using its final form.

    Screen Shot 2013-07-08 at 4.42.08 PM.png

    When I change the police for another font with Arabic characters - say X Davat or Times New Roman - the heh correctly takes its final form.

    This leads me to believe that some police - perhaps connected to the diacritic - statement is incorrect. In InDesign settings appear to be correct (otherwise, the problem would appear in other fonts, too). Can anyone else reproduce this problem? Does anyone know if Adobe Arabic 2007 solves this problem (assuming it's a bug)?

    Thanks for any help.

    Thanks for your help, Miguel.

    For anyone who has followed this thread, Miguel helped me discover that InDesign was load an earlier version of the police. While I thought that I had loaded v2.006, I actually had not, so InDesign 'found' a version and that in its place. I'm still trying to understand loading where the old version, but now, when I'm sure I have loaded version 2.006, InDesign built correctly the words using the correct characters.

    To find out which version of the police has been actually used in my paper, I opened the find font dialog box and clicked on the button more than information - a feature that I had forgotten in the past, but will rely on a lot from that time.

  • JDev11G Vs Oracle Forms 11G

    Hello

    When it comes to the infrastructure to build an application on what benefits haver us with JDev11g forms 11g.

    Published by: OracleBabu on June 16, 2011 07:24

    Forms and require all two JDev/ADF FMW, or maybe I can be more specific and say that you need a license of FMW. Oracle Forms is accredited to work on Oracle FMW and you pay a license for it. For the ADF, you can deploy on a server of Oracle applications no, but you must still license FMW - but it is possible that the actual cost is less than the license of forms (but depends on).

    Here is my point of view - if you have loads of skills of forms and are already building Forms applications then it would be wise to consider forms. However, you might (and certainly consider) a long-term JDev/ADF. It could be a stand-alone well-defined project could be the perfect testbed for redevelopment of the ADF. The other point to consider is that this demand will be doing, how it will be used, and how it will be architected. If you are looking for expanded internet "self-service" applications and forms, then maybe isn't just for that. If you want to use BPM or Web Center then maybe JDev is better suited.

    Just think if you were doing some DIY, you start by saying "I'll use a hammer, okay, now what's the problem"... .or you would say "what problem am I trying to solve and what tool works best. After all, if you choose a hammer and what you want to do is paint a room then its going to be very difficult for you! (o).

  • Performance impossible forms 11g Application in Mozilla 3.6

    Hi all.
    I have one problem (another problem) with OFM11g. The problem is that do not run the application forms in a browser Mozilla 3.6. The time of execution of the
    URL, the message is still "additional plugins are required to display this page." The manual installation is a java page to download the jre 1.6.12, but I install this components and Don t work.

    There is Solution to this problem?

    Thank you!

    F.F.: In IE8 works OK and Google Chrome also. But in Mozilla don´st to run.

    Which versions to have located in the formsweb.cfg?

    # jpi_classid is used by iexplorer; it will run with any JPI >= 1.6.0_01
    jpi_classid=clsid:CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0001-ABCDEFFEDCBA
    # jpi_mimetype is used by mozilla based browsers like firefox; when omiting the version any java plugin can be used
    jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet

    If my memory is the default jpi_mimetype of a forms 11g installation is set to 1.6.0_12 13 or something:

    jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.6.0_12

    Firefox is accurate when it comes to Versions of YPI. While 1.6.0_12 is specified in your mimetype, it will only work with Version 1.6.0_12. Unlike Iexplorer, it won't work with superior installed versions (iexplorer uses by default the most recent version to run the cmdlet, you must specify the minimum version you want to use as jpi_classid) or run it with lower versions.
    So you could simply omit the YPI-version (I did this because I don't want to disturb when you install a new YPI) or specify the exact version you are using that is 1.6.0_18 or 1.6.0_19.

  • Refresh a form Popup (with a .jsff) region

    Hi guys,.

    First of all, I use JDEV 11.1.1.6.

    I take a long time with a problem that should be simple, at least in theory. I have to spend, because, I ask your help.

    My question is:

    I have a table and each show has a column that opens a pop-up window. This popup was conducted using a region that uses a jsff file. For each line, when I open the popup data presented to the user should be the data associated with this line. The data of table control has child filed by association/viewlink. The two children are presented in the pop-up window, is another table, and the other is presented as a form.

    When the change in the row in the main table and open the pop-up, the pop-up window table is updated to new values, but form is not updated, maintains the last value inserted by the user.

    I tried partial triggers but without success.

    Any thoughts?

    If my English was confused, please tell me to try to explain the situation in a way less confusing.

    Read this blog article http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/53-taskflow-in-popup-169196.pdf which covers your use case.

  • I dealt with this problem for months. Even hired a comp tech to fix it and still have the same question. There, nobody helping me?

    I dealt with this problem for months.  Even hired a comp tech to fix it and still have the same question.  I had my computer wiped and windows 7 and 8 then reinstalled by a professional.  This all started when I upgraded form 7 to 8.  After 7 to 8 my computer kept getting this error. . kept crashing.  He was supposed to be fixed and it still does the same thing. I was told then move to 8.1.  I have always the same coming error.  I'm not on computer.  IS THERE ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO FIX THIS?  Someone who can explain to me step by step how to fix?  I've tried everything.  Error 0x0000005c [settings 000000000000800 0x000000000000000B x 0 0 x 0000000000000000 0 x 0000000000000000]

    Hello

    The upgrade to 8.1 was perhaps not the best thing to do...

    A lot of people are having problems with it also.

    If it is a desktop computer, have you checked the wall outlet and the plug on the back of the computer?

    Your point about starting the tone certainly as a power or a hard disk problem...

    The problem with you mouse pointer could be related to a feature called quick start...

    Your other problem also, perhaps... Try to turn it off and see if it helps...

    This feature works only when you make a STOP and then start.

    It is not perform a RESTART.

    Turn on or off...

    Go to the control panel... Power options, and then select choose the power what buttons on the left.

    Then select change settings that are currently unavailable near the top center of the screen...

    Lower on the window, uncheck the quick start.

  • Forms 11g, WebLogic and NodeManager

    Hello

    I'm relatively new to form 11g. I am doing an installation in development mode, and all works well.

    In my setup, I have to run little web - app (servlet). With iDS10g, I use Tomcat for this. Now, I try to use WebLogic. If in the WebLogic Console, I create a new 'server', listening on port 8080.

    First question, so I want to run this server, I start Node Manager (I've never used before...). Why?

    I deploy my war files and works very well.

    Now I restart WebLogic and my new 'server' stay stopped. I must launch NodeManager to run it...

    Is second question, possible that my "Server" runs automatically at startup of WebLogic? And if possible, without having to run NodeManager?

    Thank you!

    I guess here that you have created a new server managed your installation of development? Technically speaking there is not much difference between the AdminServer and the managed server; for a development environment, I would save me the hassle of 2 developing weblogic servers so I don't know what you're trying to achieve? (to be honest I really don't get the point of having 2 managed servers for execution of the Servlets 3 in production either, but that's another story)

    You can deploy your war on the AdminServer files as well - in forms 11.1.2 Oracle who done with servlets forms and reports both in development mode so there is nothing wrong with that. Instead to access your Application via Port 8080, you simply access it via port 7001 (or whatever port you used for AdminServer). No need to NodeManager – just start the AdminServer.

    If you really want to use a server managed, with that you could start it upward the script startManagedWeblogic.cmd in the same directory that the startWeblogic.cmd is located (just pass the name of the managed server). But still - I don't see why it is not necessary to use a server here.

    In production, you can choose to deploy your war AdminServer, WLS_FORMS or WLS_REPORTS file. If you configure OHS respectively it shouldn't matter much.

  • "a regular basis" to run a report form 11g

    I'm migration 6i c/s to 11g web app.

    I will have some difficulty in understanding how reports work now:

    In 6i, I used to code calls with run_report_object or even run_product built-ins, and the report went straight to the user's screen or printer.

    (Now I have seen that you can not send it directly to the printer, but we can live with that).

    Now I use the solutions I've read discussions like this:

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/2184172

    My work is as follows:

    PROCEDURE Pf_Run_Report_Object (p_report_id REPORT_OBJECT) IS

      l_report_server varchar2(100);
      l_rep_out   VARCHAR2(100);
      l_report_job_id VARCHAR2(100);
      l_report_status varchar2(100);
      l_wait date := sysdate + (5/1440);
      Begin
       tool_env.getvar('REPORTS_SERVER_NAME', l_report_server);
       IF l_report_server IS NULL THEN
        Raise Form_Trigger_Failure;
       END IF;

       Set_report_object_property(p_report_id, REPORT_SERVER, l_report_server);

      Set_Application_Property(CURSOR_STYLE, 'BUSY');
      l_rep_out := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(p_report_id);

      l_report_job_id := Substr(l_rep_out, instr(l_rep_out,'_',-1)+1);

      l_report_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(l_rep_out);

      WHILE sysdate < l_wait AND l_report_status IN ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED')
      LOOP
           l_report_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(l_rep_out);
      END LOOP;

      IF l_report_status = 'FINISHED' THEN
      WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('/reports/rwservlet/getjobid='||l_report_job_id||'?server='|| l_report_server,'_blank');
      ELSE
      MESSAGE('Report error: '||l_report_status);
      END IF;

      Set_Application_Property(CURSOR_STYLE, 'DEFAULT');

      End Pf_Run_Report_Object;

    All hardcoded that names of statutes and the property url... seem like a bug ticking. Also the loop 5 min... Don't like.

    It works... but it seems so crappy that I can't believe this is the usual way to simply run a report:

    How do you call a report in form 11g?

    I would recommend that you start here:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/Developer-Tools/Forms/documentation/integrating-forms11g-and-reports11g-1905204.PDF

    Here's what happens:

    1. your forms application requests that a report (rdf, rep, etc.) is executed. (Running is not identical to present)

    2. once the report is run and the data has been retrieved, the output is stored on the file system of the server in the format that you define (html, pdf, etc.)

    3. your Forms application can now retrieve the complete report when desired using the JobID reports.  WEB. SHOW_DOCUMENT is most often used, but other extraction methods are possible.

    As to why you coded a timer in the code, I can't speak for it, but you don't need.  Yet once again, refer to the doc above and it will explain how to launch and retrieve a report.
