• Clean install of Windows 7: where to find the Dell Foundation Services?

  I'm doing a clean reinstall of Windows 7 on my new XPS-8700.  I downloaded the drivers and the software that is listed for my service on the Dell drivers & download site tag.

  But there are a few "Dell" items listed in my Start Menu > programs that I have not found on the Dell website.  I'm not sure of their purpose, my need for them, where to find download or how to reinstall them after my new installation of windows.

  It looks spookily despite the difference in versions because it's also an upgraded environment. Because you have also two boxes Foundation Services my guess would be one of them not a static content may not agrees for any reason whatsoever and which is originally Weblogic to get mad, but we will see

• Foundation services install 64 bit invalid zip file file1

  Hi forum,
  I downloaded the zip file for the Hyperion Foundation Services to install 11.1.2.2. (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/epm/downloads/epm-1112x-1584981.html - windows 64-bit version) However, when the file1 decompression (Foundation-11122-amd64 - Part1.zip), I get an error of invalid file. I managed to open the file and extract that information from the East, but I think it's always corrupt, as I am unable to launch the installation tool (the command prompt opens for a fraction of a second and closes).
  
  Can anyone help with this? Someone at - it version uncorrupted file? Advice please?

  I was busy learning, to install and prepare the Oracle EMP 11.1.2.3 components.

  Environment:

  New installation - I use Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Standard Deployment Guide and the Guide of Installation and Configuration.

  Windows 2008 R2 - single server for all instances.

  SQL 2008 R2 - on a separate server.

  I was not able to find an answer in help

  Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you can disable the WDF Service.  It will be one less point to start your system and will not not just sitting there working day and night with nothing to do.

  On some systems, if WDF is activated, you can begin to see some errors of svchost.exe like this:

  Application error: the instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". Memory could not be "written".

  The best solution for this problem is: disable the WDF Service.

  If it's v11.1.2.1 ou.2 then you can watch reg.properties in:

  : \Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\\config\foundation\11.1.2.0

  Later versions will be here:

  : \Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\config\foundation\11.1.2.0

  The reg.properties file will have the string of JDBC connection in it.  Who will let you know the server and the scheme used.

• Software update service: push updates to clients

  I just set up OS X 5.0 for the first time, so it is all quite new to me. Is it possible to get the OS updates from the server to clients registered? I read about the differences between the update server and software of caching, and since you can't run both at the same time and think the update service is more convenient if we consider only provide updates to OS X clients.   Welcome to the forums.

  So, there's two ways to look at this issue.  You can "push" updates to customers or you can tell customers to "pull" updates.  Let's look at a few options.

  If you go the mentality of 'push', you must visit the Apple website and download individual installers or use a master machine to pull updates from the App Store.  Then, you can use tools from the Apple Remote Desktop to JAMF to deliver these updates for client devices.  It can exercise a level of control that determine only you, the doorman, where the devices are updated.  However, several updates require reboots if you need to be selective in your calendar, because you don't want to pull the rug out from under a user.  In addition, pushing updates to date still require local execution of the installation program.  If you do not have a command on all devices administrator account, you will not be able to allow installation.

  Now, you can also "pull" updates.  Indeed, this is what happens when you run the software update manually.  Ah, but there are options that you have found.  You can just pull everything Apple, but if you have a slow Internet connection and a lot of features, you can paralyze you.  You can deploy the software update server, but then you get everything from Apple for the past 8 years, that 90% you do not want.  Oh, and the software update server means that you need to customize each device with custom update path.  If you deploy portable computers, which means that they must be on your local network to get updates because the substitution is supported by a URL.  The last method is through caching server.  Caching server requires no customization of the client side and puts in cache only what you ask.  The first device application will require a download to Apple, but all subsequent devices can pull out of your cache server.  Very effective.

  That command will tell each machine to install (-i) all (-a) updates available.  You can also target specific updates so if you need to be selective (Apple released iTunes and an updated OS the same day and you don't want to push iTunes until you post the update of the OS for example).  softwareupdate-i NameOfiTunesUpdate.pkg.

  I could see a WCF Service via the type of external content successfully. Now I want to access a SOAP Service and display the data in an external list in Sharepoint 2010. I am able to create a data source with success with the SOAP service, but how to display the data in the external list as external list uses only as data sources for external content types.

  Also with WCF as external content type, it is only on WCF services or any kind of web services can be added as an external content type.

  Any help would be appreciated.

• Integration with services shared in Hyperion DRM 11.1.2.1

  Hi all

  We have Hyperion foundation services to server 1 and DRM in Server 2.

  May I know the below scenarios with or not above architecture.

  1. is it possible to integrate DRM with Shared Services?

  If I give in tab CSS Foundation Server ip or host, under the application, I get the name of the foundation server and application does not start.

  2. in the same architecture, is it possible to install DRM web Services API. ?

  We need to reinstall foundation on server DRM?

  When the services of the Foundation is on another computer, you must have the services of the Foundation of libraries Java installed on the machine DRM where the bridge process CSS runs because she needs the 'CSS' jar files that are referenced in the DRM console is available.

  I don't remember the exact details these days for 11.1.2.1 because it is quite some time now and the docs are not yet available these days except for zipped download (which I think is a bit a hint to upgrade). 11.1.2.4 but I think you need to install and configure (but not start) Foundation Services on the computer DRM (using the existing foundation services schema) as a secondary instance Services Foundation to lay down etc. required JAR files.

  The general theme will be the same, but some details may differ. I would like to download the 11.1.2.1 doc set and check the installation guide for DRM, if I were you I think.
