Four hearts

Hi hope someone can help me here?

My brother-in-law just bought a new HP laptop 1337tx amd quad core cpu processor.

He asked my why his laptop has been slow during navigation and opening the programs.

He now runs win 7 64 bit, I told him maybe its kernels is not activated I went to control panel and select system its cpu config only show 1 core running so I changed it to distribute the 4 cores to run.   But when he restarted his laptop, he was presented with the blue screen? If we changed the bact carrots 1 rebooted works very well, so we tried again to a time cores 1 2 and 3 and 4 each time we changed the blue screen of carrots.

Then one of his friends said just start the laptop if yes, of course it will work, but it's still using 1 core when he tries to change the hearts even blue screen problem.

In the Manager of tasks clearly shows only 1 kernel used then why can we not turn on 4 hearts?   I suspect that its processor or motherboard is defective

Any help please

Russell

Hi Russell,

Try the following.

As you have already done, start the System Configuration, select the Startup tab and select Advanced Options - if there is a check mark in the box next to "number of processors:', click on the box to Remove it."  Click Ok, and then click on apply and Ok in the remaining window.

Restart the computer - what happens?

Kind regards

  • upgrade laptop computer DV7 AMD cpu of two to four hearts

I have a HP DV7 4xxxus (I forgot the exact model number is not at home) with a Dual AMD Phenom II N620 processor 2.80 GHz and was thinking about upgrading to a processor 2.20 GHz AMD Phenom II Quad N970. I've read enough up to this point to ensure that it is possible, but what other factors should I be aware of? I know that this model had a tendency to overheat, but I personally have never had my overheating at the stop. I keep the back elevated to get more air and took part more than once to clean the fan and replace the thermal compound (Arctic Silver) without incident. I use my machine mainly for the compilation of the Android ROM, so believe me when I say that this machine were put to the test the way the most extreme I can think of (the two hearts run at near 100% for hours at a time). I build these Roma back to back sometimes, and my laptop turns on for a period of days. I know it's clearer at the fair and buy new, but this machine gave me good years of use, and if I could find a good deal on a processor, I'd be willing to give it a try. Both processors have the same characteristics (2.0 MB of L2 cache, bus front end to 1 333 MHz, 35W 3.6 gigatransfers per second), so I don't foresee any problems on that front, but what the BIOS? It will need to be updated? Where can I find a viable for this new processor bios update? Can I upgrade the GPU as well? There are other concerns that I think not? Any help would be appreciated...

    Here's the appropriate Manual:

    Manual

The N970 is supported. You don't need to update the BIOS or something. The motherboard is configured to use this processor. It is generally advisable to reload the operating system after an upgrade of major processor that Windows can have parameters of system based on the original processor and you can lose some of the benefits of the upgrade if you do load a new OS, but apart from that there is nothing really to do.

  • Precision 690 MY171 rev A00 mobo - hearts Xeon 5300 series

    Hello

I know that this subject has been discussed in the past, but I am having a hard time finding an answer for my exact situation.  My Dell Precision 690 runs the rev MY171 A00 motherboard on rev A08 bios.  It currently has a single processor dual core Xeon 5150.  I want to upgrade to dual quad core Xeon 5300 series processor.  I've seen youtube videos and discussion with rev A02 MY171 boards that run the 5300 series, but nothing to confirm if the version A00 will run them.

The rev A00 motherboard BIOS A08 MY171 will work two Xeon 5300 series quad core?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Today, I received my processor Xeon X 5355 to four hearts by post and installed in on my MY171 Rev00 on bios A08.  No problem during the performance of the processor.  I took out the battery from the motherboard for 2 minutes before relocation and commissioning for the first time.  BIOS immediately recognized the processor.

I'm running window 10 and initially he saw only 2 carrots.  I went into MSCONFIG and made some changes on the STARTUP, the Advanced Options tab, you should uncheck 'Number of processors' and restart.  After that, the OS will see all 4 cores.

I intend to run identical to the second X 5355 processor, but am waiting to get a second heat sink before a fall.

Hope this helps others seek to upgrade the 690.  The two processors cost me a total of $20 on ebay.  Also got 16 GB RAM DDR2 PC5300 (8X2Go) for this computer for $10.  Computer will work great for $30 worth of improvements.  I still feel like they need SSD to run faster.

  • Have Fire Fox 33 and need to know what version of UBUNTU to be compatible?

Have four hearts and plenty of room on the side of the memory and 33 running for yahoo and I want to go to union UBUNTU OS/Fire Fox. What version of it is compatible with 33? 32-bit, 64-bit, or what number of UBUNTU's downloads I need to run? Thanks for any help and have a good one, deedeest111

Mozilla has 32-bit and 64-bit Linux built as you can see at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Unlike with Windows, you must have enough current some packages in order to use Firefox. So any release Ununtu in recent years must manage current Firefox. As you can see the demands of 33.1 is the same since 17.0

  • Satellite C50-A490 - CPU temperature

    Just bought this laptop: [Satellite_C50-A490 | http://www.toshibamea.com/ComputerProduct/4/Satellite_C50-A490/52838?pageid=4]

I'm trying to understand the temperature of the cpu because there is a beautiful piece of hot air coming from the area of the processor fan and I don't know if these cpu runs at temperatures higher than those of the old i5.

Let me first, I thought it was four hearts, but apparently it's 2 core, wire 4: [Intel ARKIntel-Core-i5 - 4200M | http://ark.intel.com/products/76348/Intel-Core-i5-4200M-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz] (do not really understand that).

    Download Core Temp (http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/) and Core #0 is currently 46 ° C and Core #1 is 44 ° C (min is either the 44 ° and 47 ° C in both cases).

I could not install the Toshiba Health Monitor, but I guess that if the above values are OK then there is no problem.

Just checking that it will become very hot in this part of the world where the (climate) outdoor temperature is 40 ° C today and it will rise next week...

    > Core #0 is currently 46 ° C and Core #1 is 44 ° C (min is either the 44 ° and 47 ° C in both cases).
Ehmm and what's the problem exactly?
The two temperature values seems OK to me.

  • ProBook 650 G2: Core i7 6600U processor is only TWO CŒURS - evolution options?

    I recently got a HP Probook 650 G2.

I 'wanted' the Probook for her one of the last phones built with serial port RS-232 'real' on board.

I also wanted a quad core processor and would never have dreamed that a modern range high processor would double heart.

BUT... I was surprised that the Core i7 laptop 6600U my new computer processor is only has TWO CŒURS and the cache 4megs.

    Ugh!

That's when I remembered that ASSUMES is synonymous of...

Then, when I went to the site of HP to check and sure enough, all i3, i5, and i7 is all dual-core.

The only exception was the 6820HQ i7, which is a quad core processor, 8megs of the cache and features of the integrated Intel HD Graphics 530.

I don't know how much better the Intel HD Graphics 530 on Intel HD Graphics 520 which came with my unit.

Can a person spend power sipping dual core i7 in a muscle stronger, bending, gulping, four hearts, 8 power + megs of processor cache?

    The CPU is socketed?

My current motherboard accepts a processor 68xxHQ?

Should I think with the CPU stronger than using more power than a heatsink / fan different?

    My adapter work?

The easiest way would be to buy a NEW laptop with the card I want, but it quite late for this.

This Probook G2 650 was not cheap, and if I go to the boss for more of $, $$$ for another laptop... Well, it wouldn't be nice.

Your comments, suggestions, opinions, and the flames are all welcome!

See p. 24 of the manual here.

    Manual

See the long list of motherboards, each of which includes a processor? You asked if the processor is nested? No, it's not and it's the end of the upgrade quest, unless you traded the motherboard. I guess just the motherboard with i7-6820HQ is going to be well over $ 1000. How about almost $1500?

Before you throw stones at the 'simple' dual core i7 in your laptop, consider that it carries almost on par with a high range of 4th gen core quad.

    http://cpuboss.com/CPUs/Intel-Core-I7-6600U-vs-Intel-Core-I7-4850HQ

High modern processors of range, especially in laptops, must also take account of energy consumption. Of course, a Quad Core Skylake will be still more than a beast. Video Intel 530 is a minor improvement on the 520 to the execution units, speed of clock and gflops as shown below:

    HD 520 graphics cardGT2241050403.2
    Graphics HD 530GT2241150441.6

The graphics of the Iris is where it begins to be significantly better.

If find you a way to talk to the boss into something again consider the Zbook G3 series. It can be fitted with up to a Quad-Core Xeon, but even those that are welded on. It seems to be the trend. I think that power management got so delicate that it is difficult to prevent the loss of power by any sort of a processor of half-bridge and everything should be as thin as possible for consumers, even cell phones from the muscle work station.

  • My PC is slow when you play!

    Hello

    I use HP Pavilion p6-2161eo

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Intel Core i5 CPU 2320 @ 3 .00GHz

    6gt ram

    Four hearts

    AMD Radeon HD 7450 1 g memory

My problem is that whenever I have start playing that game, in this case, Battlefield 3, my computer does not work it smoothly.  It seems to me that my pc is to use only a carrot for the game. Is there a way for me to allow more hearts to use?

If I play a game in windowed mode that he err not so much, but whenever I choose go fullscreen the FPS goes down.  It would be nice to get a quick response if there is someone who would know something about this =)

    Thank you!

You'll need a video card with a bit more grunt.

Something of the order of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 it will manage the game easily. If your PC POWER supply does not have a PCI Express 6 power connector pins then you need to update the block POWER 450 Watt or better. (choose a brand well considered OCZ or Corsair)

Otherwise, you will need to just be satisfied with running in mode of compromise (running in a lower for higher performance resolution).

  • P7 - 1010t cto Pavilion: upgrade of processor and RAM memory

I wonder if the upgrade to a faster processor and the RAM imcreassed will provide significant performance and practice

Yes, but you must consider a few things first.

RAM, if you currently have one slot of occupied RAM then add more RAM to fill all the slots does two things for you, it increase the bandwidth to access RAM and what is obvious, give you more memeory for your applications and reduce disk swapping.  Increase the bandwidth for RAM access ceratinly will provide a performance gain just by itself.

Upgrade the processor is debatable and depends largely on what you use your PC for.  If you simply run email and web browsing then probably an upgrade is useless, but if you run several CPU intensive tasks then a processor upgrade help. Processor intel celeron and pentium are core, i3 range are dual core and the i5 and i7 are four hearts.  Simply the best kernels if you run intensive taks and i5 and i7 processors support the turbo boost, which means carrots redundant can kick in to increase the speed of these processors according to demand.  Hyper-threading (with several processes running in parallel) is also supported by the i7 (maybe some processors i5 as well).

  • Serious problem with CPU 'maximum frequency.

    Hello

    I have a problem with my W510.

I think that this problem has been around since I bought it, or at least for a month or two after I bought it.

When I plug the power in, or out, it almost always affects maximum frequency of the processor, as seen in the Windows 7 resource monitor, as well as a program called CPU - Z which shows in fact the current speed of the base.

When things work correctly, the basic speed is slightly more than 3,000 Mhz.

However, this speed changes whenever I plug the power inside or outside.

Usually, it changes for the worse when I plug IN power!

Often, to plug in, the speed drops to about 1 000 Mhz. Then I Plug - and the speed goes back to 3 000 Mhz. Rebranchez_ the - 2 500 Mhz. out Plug - rest on 2 500 Mhz. Plug in French - 1 500 Mhz. out Plug - 2 500 Mhz. Plug in French - 3 000 Mhz. get out - 3,000 Mhz, etc.. Every once in a while, it even drops to 300 Mhz.

It seems to be arbitrary and random. Sometimes, it takes me 10, 15 and even 20 times connect the power out and back in to run to 3,000 Mhz.

The machine is new, there is no fan noise, and anyway, the changes are directly correlated to plug and power in and out and that they never occur themselves - is certainly not overheating or something like that.

Also, I don't think it's a problem with the power itself, as happens to me in different countries and different places, and in any place if I try to re - plug power enough times - it will eventually be resolved (so of course that there is enough power).

Is there someone who knows this problem? Any suggestions?

    Thank you

I found that Throttlestop help me with my own problem speedstep. Speed moves much to light use because of speedstep, but when I use a cpu benchmark to load four hearts they set to max speed and do not move. You can give it a try.

    Kind regards

    Fernando

  • Memory RAM in Elitebook 8560w

I was thinking about upgrading the RAM in my Elitebook 8650w. I know that the type of memory, I need (PC-10600 1333 Mhz DDR3), but I was wondering how many bands are already built in?

I had four hearts version so my laptop has 4 slots, of which 2 are under the keyboard and I don't want to disassemble the laptop. My laptop has 4 GB of RAM at this time.

My question is, are there 2 sticks of 2 GB DDR3 RAM already installed or just 1 band 4 GB? Or is it something from a plant to plant?

Yes, DDotDacherDash has a very good point to use the Support Wizard.

BUR, if you're like me and you have uninstalled all unnecessary software, you can also run memory Crucial monitor which will scan your PC and report the same information without installing any software.

    Hello

Consult thispublication of documentfor general information on the selection of a video card.

I would not recommend an upgrade of the processor until you install a new video card.  Upgrading the CPU may be an unnecessary expense.

The P6000 PC has only a power supply 250 watt so that will have to be replaced.  I would look at the Corsair CX600 because it has the power and the appropriate physical dimensions.

Ultra settings can be a little complicated depending on the game.  I use the NVIDIA GTX 460 with some modern games (COD, BF3 and HAWX 2) with parameters utra without problems.  Right now, I recommend the Sapphire HD 6870.  The 6870 is better than the 460, so you shouldn't have any problems.
