From connection problems...

About 18 months ago, I bought a G from Linksys wireless router. It worked briefly, maybe a few hours. I spend about 15 + hours on the phone back with Linksys, Verizon and Dell. Nothing helps!

The initial problem was that I was able to connect my wireless laptop, but the signal was weak any room I was in. I dropped it and the router sat and sat and sat until I forgot my frustrations thereby and has decided to do some research and found that many people have had the same problem!

Fast forward to yesterday... I was able to connect, but the signal was very weak. Then after web surfing for about 10 min the connection was interrupted. I have re typed my password key 10 and I would say to connect, but the network acuiring address. After many attempts of acuiring network address, I gave up and played with the channels of routers. After that it does not work I changed one of the options of WAP WEP (I think) and then typed my password 10-digit key and it connected with strenth complete and safe. However I'm unable to connect to the internet!

At the time where I talked to Linksys, they blamed the modem and wireless card. Verizon then sent me a new modem, so it wasn't the problem.

I don't deny that it is indeed the wireless card, I feel that it is a problem of setting. Or one of my programs blocking access? The only thing that I havn't done was to replace the wireless card and it is because I am not!

BTW, the laptop is a Dell E1505 running windows XP. Router is a Wireless-G WRT54G

Update the Firmware on your router. Go to this link and download the firmware first on the wired computer file.

Follow these steps to update the firmware of the router: -.

Access the router configuration page and click on the 'Administration' tab, then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' void / tab-here, click 'Browse' to select the compressed extract/No .bin or .img file and click on "Upgrade"-wait for a few seconds. Reset the router... To reset the following steps...
1. hold the reset for 30 seconds button.

for 30 seconds.
4. release the reset button.

    What do you mean that you need to get your SIM card fixed? It sounds like one of two things that cause you problems, either there is a problem with your SIM, or you need to troubleshoot your phone. Have what troubleshooting you tried? You don't list everything, and if you suffer from this problem since iOS 8, I would ask why you do not have the home phone?     Yesterday, my computer would be is no longer in contact with my router wi - fi.     When you connect a device to a router router assigns the device an IP address. There are two types of these assignments. You have a dynamic IP or static IP address.

  • Two wifi routers EA6200 having connection problems.

    I had a single wifi router configuration EA6200 and it was working fine but it has not reached the corner of my house. I decided to buy a second EA6200 in an attempt to expand coverage wifi and nothing else that problems have had since then. I tried several configurations and there are always questions where wifi is either very slow or cut all together. I tried to configure the routers by using the options listed in the manual. We'll call it the router connected directly to the modem ROUTER1 and ROUTER2 upstairs router.

    I connect both routers via a power adapter line I used for a while since I rent and can't pass the cables through the walls. I have one of the LAN ports on ROUTER1 connected to port WAN on ROUTER2 and ROUTER2 clipping value. I tried with ROUTER2 get his address IP of ROUTER1 automatically and I also tried to set a static IP address on ROUTER2, but I always had connection problems. I also tried one of the LAN ports on ROUTER1 connecting to one of the LAN on ROUTER2 ports. I put a static IP address on ROUTER2 and disabled DHCP.
