  • Satellite M40 frozen keyboard - and touchpad frozen

    Hello

I don't know what's wrong with this laptop, but I got it for a few months and the touchpad has frozen, sent to fix she came back and worked for 24 hours and froze. Could not have another 2 days to get collected and filed so now use an external mouse. 2 days ago the keyboard froze and doesn't work, then it works again for an hour or two the next night and has frozen - no key has nothing, even function keys. It seems to work when the machine is cold.

What is this connected to the touchpad frozen?

Anyone know why this is happening?

    Thank you

Well, you can try to pick you up BONES and check that the issue occurs if the OS is clearly installed.

  • How to stop Windows 7 to change the size of the screen when accidentally moving the mouse or touchpad?

Ho can I stop win 7 to change the size of the screen when I move the mouse a let way or touchpad as it is quite annoying

It is a feature of the touchpad on some Acer laptops, known as the multi touch and Dell.  If you open your mouse control panel (type mouse into the start menu), you can use the touchpad settings to disable these features.

If it solves your problem, click on the link "Propose as answer" below and vote as useful by clicking on the green triangle for the lelft. Thank you!

  • A60 Mouse / Touchpad

    Serious problem.

I have a Satellite A60, which worked very well for a while. I decided to attach a MS IntelliMouse using a Din 6 pin USB connector and plugged to the USB port on the laptop.

It does not recognize the mouse, so I installed the drivers that came with it. Now when I boot, neither the keyboard nor the mouse now work. I can't do anything in Windows accordingly.

Tried to start in Safe Mode, but it asks you to click on an icon of the administrator to load upwards and without the mouse or touchpad work, that I can't click on the Administrator icon. While I can't even start in safe mode.

Short of reinstalling windows, that I won't really do, what else I can try?

    Hi Tim,.

When you reach the Windows login screen, or when you are in the BIOS screens you can navigate normally around the selectable items using the UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT keyboard arrows. On the sign on screen the userid windows selectable first will be not selectable until you press one of the arrow keys.

  • Mouse/touchpad does not work on my Satellite C850

    Hello

Had problems with the mouse and touchpad on the Satellite C850-19Z.
It turns off after a while. I tried the shortcut on the computer but nothing helped. I called Toshiba and they said to update the laptop.

It worked, and then he cut again a few weeks later then tried what I've been through with guys from Toshiba and nothing happens... I need the laptop for work.

    Can anyone help?

It's really amazing that you have the same problem with the touchpad and external mouse. What's more amazing to me is the fact that Toshiba guys were not able to help you with this.

I put t really know what to think about it. Laptop warranty valid for Toshiba service SHOULD help you with this. I put t know if it is possible for you to get the replacement you can continue your work but talk with the guys from services and try to find the solution.

By the way: do you use an external wired mouse or wireless mouse?

  • Touchpad HP Pavilion 17 works does not after using an external wireless mouse

I have the HP Pavilion 17 laptop.  It is running Windows 8.1.  Everything worked fine until I used an external wireless mouse.  After unplugging the mouse the touchpad does not itself again.  I have therefore no pointer and no touchpad to use unless I have keep the external mouse not connected.  I tried the hard reset with the plug of the battery, unplugging, pressing the power button for 15 seconds and turning everything back on.  Still no work touchpad.  Had this happen last week and called HP because I only had the laptop for 3 days at this time here.  They had me do a system restore to an earlier point.  At this point, everything worked again and I toilet problem has been resolved.  This is why I used the external mouse always thinking that it wouldn't be a problem.  I was wrong.

Also, I've seen other posts on a different notebook that has a toggle power button in the upper left corner of the touchpad to activate/disengage, but this was not one of these.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  My next step is to call HP again tomorrow and see if someone else has another solution.  I would obviously like the ability to use the touch pad or external mouse at any time without having to restart and go through all these other problems.  Otherwise, this phone pretty may be going back to the store this weekend.  :-)

    Thank you!!

This fixed the problem! Thank you very much!! Seriously, 3 different phone calls to HP and not one of them ever talked about this easy solution!

  • mouse frozen wireless

After downloading Avast yesterday and running a scan, which found nothing, the wireless mouse froze in the middle of the screen.  It happened after a reboot.  I tried another USB port that has not fixed the problem.  I plugged a wired mouse and the cursor stays frozen.  I tried a few reboots, nothing helps.  I went to the Microsoft site, signed and attempted to get a fix, but when I found an object that looked like it was for XP, SP3, it wouldn't let me access the page.  So, I don't think the Microsoft site helped me again.  Can someone tell me how to operate with a frozen mouse and give me a solution for this?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description of the problem, it seems that the mouse cursor frozen after installing Avast antivirus on the computer.

-Have you checked the mouse on different computer?

This problem could be due to Avast antivirus. I suggest you follow these methods and update us with the results.

Method 1: I suggest you try to download and run the Fixit tool and check.

Automatically, he diagnoses and fixes problems with the hardware. (USB) Keyboard and mouse are not detected by the Manager of devices or when they do not work.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

You can also check out the link and check.

Troubleshoot a wireless mouse that does not correctly

Method 2: Disable Avast antivirus and check.

If disabling the Avast solves the problem, you may be contacting Avast Support and check.

Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Aspire gel mouse/Touchpad V7 - 482PG when connect power cord (Windows 10)

    Greetings,

I'm having this strange problem in my V7 after upgrade to Windows 10:

When I plug the power cord of the keyboard and the touchpad and mouse gel (I use a Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse and touchpad in my V7 is a Synaptic).

-If I unplug the power cord, all thaws.

-If I plug the cord by moving the cursor, either with the mouse or the keyboard , then they don't freeze and I can work normally.

-Of course if I start the laptop with the power cord already plugged, everything works normally and if I unplug the power cord, there is no freeze.

The problem occurs only when the laptop runs on batteries and I plug in the power cord and the only solution is to move the mouse while plugging in the power cord. It's really annoying.

I installed all the drivers on the Acer support and page also tried several combination of new drivers older drivers etc. This never happened in Windows 8.1.

I don't know what else to try. I hope someone could help with this issue.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Miguel

  • Aspire M5 - 851t: touchpad and mouse does not.

OS = Windows 7 Home.  I have MS Office 2010 on my Aspire.  But, I need to install Office 2007 / Access 2007 to test compatibility.  But, once I installed Office 2007 USB mouse and touchpad has stopped working.  I tried a system restore, but the recovery failed for some reason any.

I uninstalled all MS Office products, but I still have the same problem.

I installed the latest dirvers of mouse and touchpad Acer, but not joy.  It is interesting to note that I can remote access to the Aspire and the remote mouse and touchpad work very well.

I also tried a repair of Windows 7, but it does not have the normal repair process.  It ask if I want to repair, and then it opens a raw DOS application that will only make a restore or a difficulty of startup.

I checked the Windows logs and alert and didn't see that everything about this issue.

Thank you.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I'm sorry.  User error.  I didn't know that the Fn - F7 would be to turn the touchpad on or off.  And it seems that I have a defective USB mouse.  Activating/Deactivating the F7 and permutation of mouse seem to have solved the problem.

Consider this closed announcement.  Best regards.

    Hi donf,.

This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure opening the service subkey, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service subkey.

The UpperFilter and UpperFilter keys are invalid registry entries and delete them should not affect the functionality of other devices. Please do not delete the .bak and we recommend that you back up the registry before taking any action on them.
See Back up the registry: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Back-up-the-registry

Step 1: Run the hardware diagnostic tool and try to install the mouse
    a. visit http://support.microsoft.com/gp/hardware_device_problems
    b. click 'Run now' and run the tool successfully.
    c. restart the computer.
    d. install the mouse and check the result.
