Full computer stuck on the login screen
Original title: complete computer freeze on connect on the screen... nothing I tried works critical need help
I am running windows xp and for some reason any (probably a major virus or main registry errors) when I try to log on to my computer nothing does market no mouse movement any key stroke in any combination... nothing will make this computer work... as soon as does boot in safe mode will not move at all... I was wondering if there is some way I can do as a system restore or anything to help save my laptop
Dear michaelhelmers
Can you let us know the brand of your laptop? If you have the Windows XP disc, you can fix the errors of system files from there. To start your computer in safe mode, press F8 after that brand of laptop logo disappears and before when appears the "XP" logo. But if somehow the safe mode is inaccessible then I suggest that you use the Windows XP disk to repair your system.

Brand-new Satellite L300 stuck on the login screen
Hi all
I'm new and a little bit of a technophobe - hope you can help.We have bought a new laptop a few weeks ago and set it all. Seemed easy enough - is installed after turning on, logged in with the password network and we were away.
We have 2 connections A and B put in place in this regard. My partner turned on and it came with the connection form A and B with 2 icons - he went to a click sound and he did not. No mouse is attached, we use the keyboard mouse. Tried rebooting with the button, but it's the same thing. I tried again and it has gone through a process and offered safe mode and normal mode, I tried separately on both and she returned to the login screen and click has failed.
It is now stuck on the battery mode, because we can't get past this screen and it to run properly. Any suggestions?
Thank you very much.
Would it be possible that you have disabled the touchpad accidentally and therefore you couldn't t access the Win Vista ;)?
Please note that you can enable and disable the touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination -
2 Lenovo's Yoga, stuck on the login screen. Need help!
My Lenovo Yoga 2 has some very weird problems that prevents me from using it. Here is a list of issues I noticed:
-When I hover over the power icon, there is no option to restart, shutdown or standby. This only happens randomly.
-I don't have internet connection. A red 'x' is on the connection icon. I'm not able to put it in airplane mode either.
-Unable to connect. When I entered my password/PIN, it will load, then restarts. But when I receive, there is a black screen and I get an error and it restarts.
-When left on the login screen, it will reboot itself
-L' initial loading screen is longer than usual.
The last thing I remember before this happened was rip the CD using an external optical drive. I'm not tech savvy so I'll probably not much terminology on computers, but I'll do some research if necessary.
I see. Try the following steps to perform a reset. Let me know how it goes.
- Turn off your computer
- Next to the power button (on the right side), there are little, a small button. Press this button. This button is called the OKR (a key recovery) button.
- At the start, you will be asked about 4 option. Select the option that says recovery (or a key recovery).
- Follow the prompts on the screen.

Skype is stuck on the login screen. E52
Hello
For a few months now Skype stops just to the login screen. After I touch my user & pass, I hit connect and that's all. It remains there forever.
I tried this on Wifi and 3g...
He used to work before... doesn't bother searching for an answer of all these months because I had no need of Skype. And now I * really * need to use Skype on the move.
I reinstalled the firmware of Nokia, no go.
Help, please!
It works now!
I created a new Skype account with the app and it connected! Wow.
Then I disconnected & reconnected since my old Id and it works now as well.

Keyboard not working on Lenovo Windows laptop and stuck on the login screen
I have a Lenovo WIndows 8 20157 laptop, the keyboard no longer works someday so I restored it. At that time, I could use an external keyboard. When the system rebooted, it got to the login screen and will not work. The screen keyboard and the external keyboard does not work. The only thing that happens when I use a keyboard (external to the screen, laptop), is that if I hit the button S power options developed. I can not connect and I can't run it in safe mode. Already, I have removed the battery and held down the power button, which has not changed anything.
I took it for someone who told me to restore to factory settings and there are drop down menu in the corner of the login screen, but sometimes the mouse works and sometimes it isn't. For example at the moment I can't open easy access menu to open the keyboard screen, but sometimes I can't. Any ideas?

I didn't install all alone application.laptop escalates much too and the fan runs faster than usual. Its very difficult to handle the laptop in such a condition. Please help me

Hi @basilutd ,
Thank you for your query.
I understand that after the upgrade of your laptop for Windows 8.1 pro your laptop is overheating.
When I checked the driver page for your laptop on Windows 7 there are two bios updates. Haves you updated the bios.
Here is a link to the drivers and software Notebook Pavilion g6-2016tx where you can get them.
As an update of the bios has a potential to cause damage, I suggest to contact HP support by using this procedure.
Here is a link to HP desktop computers and laptops - troubleshooting an overheating and Auto Shutdown problem which can also help.
Please make sure that you have installed all updates recommended for your laptop driver and did all your Windows updates.
Good luck!

T60 stuck after the login screen
I have a Lenovo T60 and it has been working great for the last two years.
Earlier today, I use it and it became suddenly very slow which I answered by stopping by holding the power button. I then proceeded to turn it back on and everything loaded correctly, typed in my information, then waited so he can log on and load Windows. My problem is that Windows never charged upwards and after more than 30 minutes of waiting, I handed on by the power button and tried again and again and again. I googled around the answers and found none, and there is no option to start in safe MODE.
This is my last resort - please help me!Thank you in advance.

I have tried safe mode, does the same thing; tried to use the Windows Vista disc to do a repair, no luck; also I tried restoring the system (from disk), no restore points however.
The problem appeared after restarting the computer during the night. The problem began to be able to connect, but the screen would go blank with just a pointer (KSOD). Has tried some of the suggestions on this problem, including by eliminating sys newspapers, which did not work as well as reinstalling the video driver, with no luck. Finally tried a system restore, returned 1 week (before the windows updates). Now, the computer becomes just the login screen sits there for about 5-10 seconds then restarts immediately.I just had this happen to my laptop that has no external references. This is a new (September 09) ASUS K50ij with Vista 64-bit installed. I bought the Win 7 OS to replace, but have been waiting for the time to play with it... Last Monday, the update itself and invited to restart so I have done what I was busy with and enabled him to restart which is the only thing to do now... restart, the blue screen for a nano-second, then restart... etc. Same problem with safe mode and safe mode with networking, or with the box... anyway, someone very smart recommended that I use another computer (Fortunately, I have several) to download free Imgburn (which works easily), then get Ubuntu (Linux Operating System free download) burn image from the Ubuntu disc, put the disc in the drive of the computer crashed (there is a little hole next to the button you) can insert in a safety pin to release the door when the power is off) change the setting in the BIOS of the computer has crashed by restarting and pressing F2 until you get the menu BIOS... go to the start menu and choose Start from the CD, and then press ENTER. When the computer starts, it will see the drive and go to a menu to select the language, then next choice is "try Ubuntu without making any changes to the computer. It will boot the disk and allow you to view and copy ALL your files off the power on an external drive, which is what I did... including my Outlook .pst files that include all my saved emails my calendar and contacts, etc! WOOHOO! has got all my photos, documents, etc. The only thing that I didn't know how to get is my favorite... How to enter in the browser from another computer.
If after this, an hour or more than make sure I got all the important data... I decided to see if anyone had a solution to this problem just fixing... I probably won't update again because Microsoft sends them and offers no solutions to the problems they have caused and nobody pays me for all the time I've lost get to get my stuff back and also to solve the problem they have caused. A update on my other laptop Win 7 zapped my outlook program and even reinstall it didn't solve this problem, even more work to do there, but looking in the files using Ubuntu's File Explorer, I found a hidden file that is used to repair the files .pst outlook called scanpst, or something that nearby.
In any case, if someone has a solution to uninstall the recent update or to determine how it corrupted my user profile (which is the general consensus) please let me know.
Thank you and good luck to you! -

I have xp pro I have activated telephone went through all the steps said active windows computing took me to the login screen, but when I try to connect, it tells me that I need to activate windows so I click on activate the itr tells me that windows is already activated, then takes me in the newspaper and did the same thing
To delete the message you are already enabled, you can force the activation on reboot. If the wpa.dbl and wpa.bak are damaged, they can cause a problem.
Restart in 'Safe Mode '.
Rename wpa.dbl and wpa.bak files located in the the\Windows\system32 folder
Now, the message must be deleted, and you can now re-enable. TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2010 - Update Services -
