Fusion, NAT & IP static: unable to connect from Mac

Hi all

I'm evaluating merger 2.0.6 are considering changing Parallels. I have a virtual of Win2K machine, I want to set up with a static IP address so that I can connect via TCP of the Mac (Snow Leopard). Instructions form here, I got the static IP set up, but cannot ping by Mac virtual machine. The relevant parameters are the following:

VMnet8/dhcpd.conf

subnet 192.168.20.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {range 192.168.20.3 192.168.20.254;}     option broadcast-address 192.168.20.255;     option domain-name-servers 192.168.20.1.     option netbios-name-servers 192.168.20.1.     option domain-name "localdomain".     routers option 192.168.20.1. } host steam {hardware ethernet 00: 0C: 29:4 b: a 5:37;}   fixed-address 192.168.20.4; }

VMnet8/NAT.conf

  1. The NAT gateway address
IP = 192.168.20.2 = 255.255.255.0 subnet mask

  • Windows *.

C:\ > ipconfig Windows 2000 IP Configuration Ethernet adapt Local Area Connection 3: suffix the connection-specific DNS. : localdomain IP address...: 192.168.20.4... subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 gateway.... : 192.168.20.2.

There is no firewall blocking things. Any ideas that I missed?

Thank you

Simon

A few options: If you use the bridge, then you can configure any IP address you want on the Mac and virtual machines.  Otherwise, take a look at Advanced Networking Configuration - Tokamak Networking Scripts for VMware Fusion where you should be able to change the subnet of the NAT networks and existing host-only.

Here is a brief information on my config.

I am running Oracle RAC on a node two. The two nodes are hosted on Oracle VM

crsctl res stat - give me the correct information.

    If I use the following

tnsping rac of node1 and node2 windows command line it works

I also entered the ip address of the rac-scan (scan name) the hosts file in windows that is in

I am able to ping scan cars and it is the sponsor of the correct ip address

I also installed the full version of the Oracle Client software on windows 7 and a free version of TOAD and also SQL Developer on Windows 7

If I change the tns entry in the tnsnames.ora file on windows (win 7) and change this host name it works fine

However if I change the entry to rac-scan, it does not

Does not work - this involves the following

    Ping rac-scan (WORK)

If I replace rac-scan in the tnsnames.ora in the local machine (client - win 7)

    Hello

You have an active firewall? If so, then try disabling the same and see if you are still unable to connect through scanning

Also, what is the error you get when connecting via scan?

Make sure that the next parameter is set to analyse:

    display the parameter remote_listener

The above command should appear as follows

    SQL > show parameter remote_listener

  • MX472 unable to connect to Mac running 10.11.2

What worked once I can no longer do work without modification in the OS or something else, I am aware of. I can get the printer to connect to the Netgear router, and I can even add the printer to my Mac running 10.11.2. It installs the MX472 using the MX472 driver.

But when I go to print, the spooler window says that the printer is offline and cannot be found. ????

I disabled DRX and ipV6 by following the instructions. No cigar.

The other problem is that the printer seems to give up after awhile once I managed to get somehow it works again. Help appreciated. I am very close to buy a long USB cable, or just drop the barrel in electronic trash. The picture was scanned on my HP printer.

Yes, I think he was trying to connect with another hot spot in my house and not the router which is 2 feet from the printer.

I was able to finally get everything connected by:

    1. reset of the printer on the Mac in the console System Preferences-> Printers & Scanners

2 rename the main drive-> library-> printers folder

    3. download all the drivers and other software to install from the Canon site

    4. following the instructions in the settings wireless. However, I was not able to connect wirelessly until I connected the printer via a USB cable first and set up the printer via the cable.

    5. Add the printer in the list on the Mac using the installation instructions. Voila! Another name for the printer appears that was not there before and this isn't a Hello connection!

    6. at the moment that it seems to work, but for how long?

People, it's 2016. It's too complicated and too heavy and too unreliable. It's like something I used to do in the ' 80s, when IBM's first personal computers came out.

  • Unable to connect my laptop XP Prof on printer Officejet J6450 AIO usb (in network)

Due to some problems of scanning, I have reinstalled my AIO on my USB port of office instead of the old Dell (Windows 7-64) ethernet link. However, I'm unable to connect from my laptop with XP Pro. I downloaded and installed the latest version of the software of full J6450 and can do a test print, but cannot access the printer through the center of Solution, that's why the scanner and other features are not available from the laptop. Also, is anyone know hence the hp software file is extracted to so I can re - run the Setup file?

The IOA has a w/l button, so I'll try an instalation w/l on the laptop.

    Hello Tracer_C

Thanks for responding. The error was 'the scan cannot be performed because another program or computer uses... ". "The w/l installation was successful, after that several unsuccessful attempts. (I accept the blame for it). After 2 or 3 tries, I noticed the obligation to connect the printer to the USB port of the laptop to install the drivers. Apres_que the drivers have been installed the software it reset the network, and it does not connect until I plugged in the printer on the desktop).

I thought I could do a no-w/l installation, but it is just as well, because I don't often print the laptop anyway, so I can keep the w/l off on the router function until I need to print from the laptop.

I found the installation for Xp folder: C:\Documens and Settings\Temp\7Z***.tmp\Setup.exe Settings\nom of utilisateur\Local.

In 10g, listener can dynamically register a database. In your server listener.ora file you did manually. A particular reason for that?
What is the result of lsnrctl status on the server where this testdb? You see service testdb in the summary?

  • HP 15-ac152sa laptop: wifi tab disappears from the network settings menu. Unable to connect to wifi

I bought a new laptop. I connected to the WiFi network with no problems the first time. I have downloaded Microsoft office 2016 (home and student). The next time I turned on the laptop, the icon WiFi in the corner of the screen says "no connection available.

On the tab "network and internet". There is no tab for WiFi. Initially, I managed to fix it by clicking on the 'network card', 'properties' and on the 'power management' tab, I unchecked the box indicating "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. This fixed the problem... until the next time I turned on the laptop. It's the same thing and I am unable to connect to internet via WiFi.

The single adapter in the list here is "Realtek PCI-e FE family controller #2". Still unable to connect to WiFi... Still no WiFi tab under settings "network and internet". Help, please!

So, the problem was finally solved (fingers crossed!).

Yes, the Internet access worked perfectly every time when it is connected through the Ethernet cable. Ultimately I phoned the helpline. They checked for the new driver updates (these have been already updated), restored the BIOS remotely and then restored the device to the factory settings. Start of the fault still took place intermittently. This indicates a hardware problem, and the unit was sent for repair.

The idea was that when the WiFi did not work, the WiFi card wasn't physically visiable in the list of available adapters, nor has the Bluetooth adapter. Apparently in this device, the Bluetooth and WiFi functions are on the same network adapter and apparently those elements should not disappear from the list of available adapters. So the fact that they disappeared together intermittently indicated a hardware problem with the card.

Now that I got my laptop back and I think that the WiFicard has been replaced. Hoping all is well now and I hope this post helps someone else.

Thanks hp for fast and wonderful customer service.

    Hello

Temporarily disable the security software on both computers and check if it makes a difference.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
