G3 255: 255 devices USB G3 not rocognized

I recently installed windows 7 on my HP 255 G3. The problem I have is that only one of the USB ports recognized devices. It is one of the two ports on the right side.

I tried to install the drivers from the downloads section, but when I plug in a device on the other USB ports, it will not be displayed.  On the Device Manager, there is a bus controller SM and universal serial bus controller listed in the section other devices. None of these have no drivers installed (code 28).

Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit version, service pack 1.

You are the very welcome.

  • Qosmio F10 - devices USB is not recognized correctly

    Hello
I had major problems with the USB ports on my Qosmio F10. Everytime I try to plug in a USB device, the F10 recognizes there is only something there, but always categorizes him as an unknown device. For example, whenever I try to attach a USB mouse, he is instantly recognizes her not, even after already spending in the Device Manager and manually install a driver.

This has been the case since I bought the laptop 5 months ago, but I can't ignore it any longer.

    I have already tried:

-uninstall all drivers and USB controller hub and reinstall
-ensuring that the power save to usb devices was unchecked
-check "install anyway" in the driver signing options

When I open the Device Manager my USB key looks like this

    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 Enhanced Controller - 24 CD
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24 2 Serial
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller Serial - 4 of 24
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24 7 Serial
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub

Any help on this is much appreciated as its driving me crazy :-)

    Hello

The entries in Device Manager look ok.
If the laptop recognizes the USB device, so everything is ok. If the device appears as an unknown device in Device Manager, you need a driver in particular. Sometimes, the external device needs a driver that should be supplied with the device.

I assume you are using the Toshiba Recovery CD. In this case then phone has pre-installed all the drivers needed and you don t need the 3rd USB controller drivers.

  • Device USB-6009, not found problem

    Hi all

So my VI and USB-6009 worked fine until recently.  I noticed the VI was read or graphing correctly the analog input channel information.  My firmware is up to date, but I noticed a problem.  In Isdaq, he will recognize the USB-6009 case is connected, then when I start my VI and to stop it, I double check Isdaq for my device and it doesn't recognize any device.  I have to unplug the daq and reconnect to Isdaq to recognize the usb-6009 case again.  But whenever I start my VI, it does not collect all the data and makes the unrecognizable device.  Do you know what could be the problem?  Is attached the VI I ran in case you want to watch.  Its working fine so far.

BTW, I'm under Labview on Mac OS X

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello Solis,

I recommend you to make changes to the parallel tasks to use the cluster of the error to force the order of execution, given that NEITHER-DAQmx Base is not multi-thread safe (review NOR-DAQmx Readme). Please check if this alleviates the problem.

  • Device "USB" only is not supported after conversion

    * _Running vSphere + ESXi4 (paid and free) _ *.

I have a XP system that has operated for some time, with 2 USB Dongles for software installed on VMWare Server authentication.

Recently I found USB Net ShareStation IOGear solution for sharing USB devices over a local network, so I tried and managed to convert the virtual machine to free ESXi and successfully used the USB devices.  Perfect!

However, I want to save this virtual machine using Veeam Backup, I need it in my firm paid ESXi so I converted again using the stand-alone converter, but I get the following message if poster every time I try to start it:

    Ons power failure

vCenter could not find a suitable host to power on the virtual machine for the reasons listed below

& lt; VM & gt;   & lt; NAME of HOST & gt;  Device 'USB' is not supported.  It is a virtual hardware version general limitation of the virtual machine on the selected host.

If I change settings and delete or one of the USBs listed as not supported, I get again theerror:

    "USB" device is not supported

    and she does not.

I only am not familiar with editing ini files so would appreciate pointers that would allow me to remove USB devices manually if this is what it takes so it wil boot.

    Thank you.

  • Peripheral USB do not work correctly on the Satellite M40 313

I have a Satellite M40 313 I bought there are about 1 1/2 years and have had some problems with.

However, I recently bought a Canon S3 IS and a Buffalo portable HD here in Japan, where I currently work.
These two devices do not work with my computer.

Attach the HD produced the message that this device will work better with a USB 2.0 high speed Port, before XP decides that the HD is actually a keyboard HID device! The camera mount, for which I had installed the software provided, will produce a message that suggests that I have install usbscan.sys file and forces me to use a driver of generic digital camera that does not work with the Canon camera.
I fetch the requested file, but it made no difference...

It seems that it is a problem of USB, and I also noticed that some of my friends devices USB do not work well with my computer.

In this case, what is the best way to update my software so its compatible USB? Have I been dismantled down to the USB 1.1 version by WIndows at any given time? The pilot on the hub root 5.1.2600.2180 and is dated 07/01/2001.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Hello

Perhaps a biosupdate could help you? I mean it s do not know if is it a hardware problem or software, so that you can first try to check if it s a software linked history by:
    1.), updated the Bios
2.) recover the system with the recovery cd (backup your data first!  ;))
3.) install the latest drivers (do not install MS updates or patches, sometimes they cause errors)

If you have no success after completing these steps, and then give a few comments.

  • Device USB not recognized - device connected USB has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it

I have a HP Pavilion dv4 laptop running Windows 7 Home Edition Premium and the USB ports worked well for a HP deskjet printer and an older Casio digital camera. Then one day, the laptop decided not to recognize the Casio digital camera and gave the error message "USB device not recognized" and also indicated that the device connected to the computer has malfunctioned. This prompted me to buy a new digital camera Canon. Well, a new camera has not fixed the problem. Now, anything that is connected to one of the 2 ports USB will not be recognized by my laptop. Help!  I am at a loss to understand this.  I tried using Microsoft suggested below:

Suggestion 1: the problem with USB devices, uninstall and reinstall all USB controllers. This allows controllers to recover the port USB of his condition does not respond.
USB controllers represent the USB ports in Device Manager.

    a. Click Start, type Manager of devices in the search box of start and press ENTER.
    b. expand Bus USB controllers.
Note: you may scroll through the list to find this point.
    c. the first USB controller under Bus USB controllers right click and then click on uninstall to remove it.
    d. Repeat steps above for each controller USB is listed under Bus USB controllers.
    e. restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically check for changes on the hardware and reinstall all USB controllers that you uninstalled.
    f. check the USB device to see if it works.

This has not fixed the problem.  Then the Device Manager, I tried to update the drivers on all the USB controllers and root hubs. While some may have received software updates downloaded, it still has not corrected the problem of unrecognized USB device after the computer is restarted.  I hope that someone knows the solution to this situation and can pass it on to me. Thanks for reading and any help display.

Read previous messages revealed the solution for USB devices not recognized on my HP Pavilion as well as several other laptop models.  Shut down the computer and remove the battery and wait for about 15 minutes. Reinstall the battery and restart the computer.  USB ports are working to download pictures from my digital camera from Canon and charging a cell phone, etc...   I hope it helps others with this problem!

I don't see in the devices of series X available for the simulation are PCIe devices. I have MAX 4.7, 9.1.5 DAQmx and LabVIEW 2010. I did this on other computers running older versions of the software and saw this device on the list, so there must be a software component that I have installed, but I can't understand what it is. Any suggestions?

Material of the series X USB were not released before DAQmx 9.2; you need at least this version in order to use a simulated.

  • Why am I suddenly "USB not recognized, one of the devices USB has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize"

Hi all. If anyone out there in Cyber Land can solve this problem for me so I've personally you will issue an eight-pack of ice-cold beer (or a bottle of wine for the ladies lol)...

I'll try not to waffle too guys, so here's...

Right my PC running Windows XP. I also have itunes installed on my PC (I have an iphone 4). Upward until yesterday my iphone and itunes were working well, (once I plugged my iphone in the itunes USB port recognised that my iphone was plugged and synchronization was fine etc.).

But now when I plug my iphone to PC to sync with itunes, I get a pop up box on the lower right part of the screen that reads... "USB not recognized one of the USB devices has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize."

After visiting about 5 different sites now "Ways to solve this problem", believe it or not, I still have the problem bloody! :(

A site proposed shutdown PC and unplug it from the power supply, then plug it back start-up and back... this as did not work!
The other they say that I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs then restart... it did not work either.
    Tried a system restore
    Tried to reinstall itunes

When I check the names USB in Device Manager, there is one who reads unknown device. I am literally pulling what's left of my hair now. I tried to solve this problem for almost 2 days now and still no joy. That's why no matter what input you guys would be very appreciated. I'm no PC Wizard, so please, don't think you're patronizing me if you break down things step by step for me.

Thank you comrades, cordially, Freddy frustrated. :)

Another said I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs and restart.

Usually, this works... but can be very dangerous, unless you have a PS/2 keyboard.

I also assume that you have tried all other USB ports on the computer. tried a verified USB device (for example, a flash drive) in the USB usually when you plug in your iPhone. and I tried your iPhone in another computer (I know it's rare for an error message Windows really means what he says, but sometimes the material lacks).

Is the charge of the iPhone when it is connected to the USB port (I don't think)?  This happened to me recently, but a reboot fixed it.  I guess that that happened to you.

I guess that you don't see the error messages in Device Manager or you must declare them.

You can uninstall all USB devices that do not exist as follows:

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Enter the following command and press enter

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

    • Start the Device Manager by typing the following in the same command prompt window

    devmgmt.msc

    • In Device Manager, click the view menu and select "Show hidden devices".
    • You should see a category just after "Non-Plug and Play drivers" named "other devices."  Chances are that there will be a big exclamation yellow mark beside it.  When you expand the "other devices" you should see several non identified "USB devices."  Uninstall all this.
    • Reboot (with the iPhone NOT connected).
  • Aspire V does not recognize the USB/phone device. Why not?

Why does my laptop recognize my phone more?       He knows some device USB is plugged in, but it does not recognize.

Download and install the USB Samsung drivers:
