  • Impossible to disassemble the repair disc

Hey out there - I hope someone can help me with a solution to my problem!

My drive external DRIVE (WD MY Passport) decide to stop playing on the same team earlier today.

My Mac recognizes the drive, but won't let me access to his files directory - when you try to check the diskutil drive tells me it needs to be repaired, and in trying to fix it, diskutil says that it is impossible to disassemble the disc... > _ <

But when accessing the control through the recovery partition I can also check and repair and it will come just by saying "all is * A - OK... When you use the diskutil through the recovery partition I can even access to its files directory, and it shows me all the files without any problems...

    If it becomes increasingly strange...

Y at - there someone out there who has an idea of what to do with it?

    Best regards

Stop your Mac. Now start with the SHIFT key is pressed. This will start in Safe Mode, with all extensions turned off. Safe mode is slow to start, so give it time, it checks a lot of staff. If it works fine in Safe Mode, restart normally. If it works now, you are finished.

If the problem comes back after a reboot, you have an extension conflict. Disable all extensions via system preferences. To isolate which extension is at fault, turn on an extension at the same time, restart in the meantime, until you find the bad Apple.

  • Help? the source volume is read-write and can not be disassembled...

I use 10.11.5 on an iMac 21.5 ", end of 2009 and I want to restore the OS X 10.11.5 to HD on an external drive but I get this message" Source volume is read = write and cannot be disassembled, so it cannot be copied from block. "  I can find answers do not address El Capitan.  Help would be greatly appreciated.

You use disk utility's restore feature?

If the HD has a recovery partition, you can make starting in place of the recovery.

Or you can use SuperDuper! (the basic version is free and can copy the entire disk, the paid version allows "smart updates", which copies only files that are different, saving time) running on externally to perform the copy.

    Hello Lemon_Dyn,

If your laptop is so dirty that you need to open it, here's Guide Service and Maintenance.

You will mainly seek to remove the fan and also clear the heatsink fins on page 52.

I'll add, do so at your own risk if you have never done such a thing. You must shoot the laptop a little to reach the fan.

  • Disassembly of the Qosmio G50

A few months ago I spilled a glass of wine the keyboard of my G50. End of G50, flashing orange power light and would not turn. Insurance replaced with a nice model of Satellite AC and no data has been lost.

I would now like to see if the G50 can be repaired/cleaned, thin hope I know. I removed all visible screws from the base and the back of the computer, but does not know how to go further. Have used a moderate strength but do not want to destroy the beast while pulling outward.

Can anyone advise my next steps?

    Thank you

    David McKeand

Disassembly procedure is not complicated, but this must be done step by step following steps.
What you do is first remove the battery, RAM and HARD drive. After doing this, you must remove keyboard. On this step, you must be very gently. As a first step, you need to remove the keyboard on top of the keyboard stand, then remove the screws that attach the keyboard.

After removing the keyboard check if there's a few screws on the side of the optical drive. If Yes, remove it and shoot the STRANGE (I presume that the screw is down already deleted).

When all the screws at the bottom are removed, return your Qosmio and unplug all connectors.
As last step remove all screws that secure cover.
Now you should be able to remove the cover from the base and you should have access to the motherboard.

Please be very gently. Small error can be responsible for the damage, and you can have a more significant problem than now. Everything you do is at your own risk.
I can't say for sure, but I think that your motherboard is faulty and must be replaced.

    Good luck

  • How to disassemble the Qosmio E10 to replace the cooling fan - need manual

Does anyone have instructions on how to disassemble the E10 to replace the cooling fan. a G25 irisvista.com all the other models, but the design is not the same.

Now stuck at removal of keyboard connector.
No idea what fan model numbers so I can order before the band down.

    Hello

Unfortunately, it seems that there is no information on fan replacing on the laptop of the G10. These documentations are not for public use, but only for the Toshiba authorized service providers :(

Apart from this fact it s not advisable to disassemble this laptop if you have no experience! During the disassembly process, you could damage the motherboard or something else

So I think that he of better go to a technician because he has more experience.
In addition, the taken cooling module supported and compatible can be ordered from the Asp in your country

  • I disassembled my iPod Nano Gen 1 and the battery is larger than its supposed to be and will keep your not responsible

So I found my old iPod Gen 1, I'm going to play with her and she turns that I plug it into the wall it says its loading works fine, while it is plugged in. Said his charge that I unplug the screen just disappears and turns off. I go to turn it back on nothing. I thought it was strange, I connected it to my computer and it says: "Please wait battery is very low" so I searched here and I couldn't really find anything except to reset it and glitch it thinking that the battery had more in it that's the case, or something so it would connect and start charing so I tried. Except that I had a small problem that makes the select button was broken. So I ended up just say lets just take it apart I did I pulled aside and then when I take part (I was watching a video on how to disassemble) the battery was 4 times bigger and oblong and stuck to the pretty good iPod. It was difficult to maneuver it is BC. He was stuck and big enough and I didn't want to damage it. But I ended up making out and took a picture I don't think that its supposed to be this great! (Also the selection button is now fixed the battery was putting pressure on it so that it wouldn't work or something because it wasn't working until I removed the block him now his works very well (the key not the iPod))
Attached picture is battery (sorry for the bad quality and angle)

You will need to buy a new iPod.  Cells swell like that when they fail.  Since the opening of the device, any chance of an out of warranty replacement (if there was a chance) disappeared.  I'm sorry.

  • Satellite Pro A200-1MA - does not start after disassembly

This is one for my laptop was overheating strongly and I decided to clean the radiator and the parts around it. I disassembled the computer laptop to the point where I can take off the cooler, cleaned and then I put everything back. The problem is now it won t work.

It starts normally, past in loading windows (I have Windows 7 sp1) and then after 10 seconds, or it just stops. I tried to go to the bios, but it does the same thing after 10 seconds. First, he showed BSOD with no explanation. Just somewhere stopped working and it has to stop, but I can't figure what. CPU should be fine, it can t overheat in 10 seconds if it s cooler nor starts loading Windows in order to RAM and HARD drive may also be excluded.

My best guess is that I'm connected to something wrong, but I disassembled it 3 - 4 times today and can t find something that is not connected. When I remove the top plastic I need to disconnect this son: speakers, power button, touchpad, keyboard and one other connectors 2 or 3 which I am sure they are USB, LAN & maybe etc...

Then, can you at least tell me where to start? What to check?

    Hey,.

I also can say with certainty what happened exactly, but fact is laptop disassembly is not easy and should be made only to professionals. If you take apart a laptop computer, you must be connected to the land, for example to avoid electrical damage.

Anyway, everything you can do test your laptop with factory settings (preinstalled OS from Toshiba). If you notice the same problem it s a serious malfunction of hardware and your laptop should be verified professional people.

  • Need directions for disassembly for S50 - B Satellite

    Hello

Could someone tell me please how to disassemble the S50 - B to perform an upgrade of ram.

    Thank you very much

    Pete

Disassembly or so called instructions manual maintenance is not a public document, so you won't be able to find it for download. Procedure of dismantling will be done by authorized personnel only so it is quite complicated to get this document.

All you can do is to check if you can find independent information on laptop disassembly procedure.

Can you please tell us what's wrong with your machine?
    Warranty is still valid?

  • How to disassemble laptop Satellite of S70 - A?

From my experience, most Toshiba laptop require a strip on the keyboard to remove before proceeding with the maintenance of the laptop. In these series, I think that this is not the case. I tried to remove the undercarriage of the laptop, but there seems to be something holding down.

I also tried to remove the keyboard, but nothing is done, he didn't budge.

    How this approach?

Please don't get me wrong, but why you want to disassemble your laptop?
I assume that your laptop is fairly new and with a valid warranty. Computer laptop disassembly will void the warranty.

  • Re: Satellite L675-10 t black screen after disassembly problem

    Hi all

I recently had some problems with my L675-10T overheating, even when I was with a big fan of cooling for the games.

I realized that the problem resulted from blocked exhaust and dust and it is why, after reading and watching the many tutorials, I opened my laptop computer successfully and all cleaned up.

The temperature dropped to 20 c and I was happy.

The next night, however, took my laptop and headed for the living room, and it will stop.
Black screen and nothing passed. So I ran to the internet and found this solution, it worked btw.

    1. turn off your computer
    2. unplug all wires (including energy)
    3. disconnect the battery from the bottom of the computer.
4 re - connect the power cable. (the battery should not be in the computer)
    5. turn power on. The screen works. Choose start windows normally. (if you get this screen)

The thing is, the same thing happened to me this morning as well.
Twice in 2 days and im a little worried I did something wrong during Assembly of the laptop or something. Any ideas? Or do I keep accountant with the above solution?
Looks like a mess of power upwards of sorts.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

I assume that this question has not happened before you have disassembled the laptop. Right?
To be honest this similar issue happened to me to. The portable light not (black screen) after I'm entered in the mode 'sleep'. However, this happened only once

It s hard to tell why this happened to you it of not impossible that you have damaged something for disassembled the procedure.

However, the fact is that the warranty is not valid more because you opened the laptop. That is why any approach (especially parts replacement) to solve this problem would cost money.
So ultimately it s your decision: a technician visit to downtown to see the pieces of equipment or keep your stay with the workaround mentioned above.

  • Lack of screen after disassembly of the Satellite X 205 - s9349

Well heres so what happened. My laptop was running very hot, so we took it apart and cleaned all the dust. Then, we put "artic silver 5" on the CPU and the gpu. When we got it all back together, the monitor had a tinge of purple to it.

When we have shaken the monitor cable, the colour would change other colors like Blue tint and other shades.
I took in this type of computer repair and it did something for her and now it looks like this:

    http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/9662/MonitorL.jpg

I don't know what he was doing.
Need help fixing. Thank you in advance,

This type of repair is allowed for the Toshiba laptop repair?

At first, I must say that laptop disassembly is not for everyone and it will be done by authorized personnel only. They do this maintenance manual step by step following with the exact description how to do this. Thermal compound/grease is not the same for all models of laptops and quantity used is also not the same. So what you did was very risky and now you have the problem. Who knows what's wrong there. In the worst cases, the graphics card is dead.

Have you tried testing with external monitor? Please, do it and post the result.

  • How do I disassemble the Tecra 8100

I had power supply problems with my laptop recently a model of laptop Toshiba Tecra 8100 No.. PT810C.
The cap on the back for power was coming loose. It was firmly attached, but power on the laptop out, relying on the cord at the back in general would result in turn. It's probably just a connection not tight with only one hardware item, and I am currently disassemble the laptop, to see if the problem will be easy to fix.

Now, I already said, removed all the various material on the bottom which is detachable, more unscrewed the screws holding things together, but I hit a snag. I can't find where things are held together and do not have a good scheme to look to know. Does anyone know where I could patterns for these types of devices, or even a guide for anyone new to dismantling computers laptops?

And not to be rude, but please don't post any warnings on the dangers of the work on laptops or suggestions I have a professional working on it.

The value of the laptop is signifigantly less cost to ensure that the work, which means that is not an option, and even if I made a mistake and the ruin of the laptop, it is nothing more than a paperweight as it is currently.

    Hello

Thanks much for the great help

    Hi merlinpat,

First of all, I must say that laptop disassembly is a little tricky and not easy to do. You need to remove a large number of screws and parts that they are very sensitive, so you must know what you are doing.

But your question regarding these pictures or technical manuals, how to disassemble the laptop are not available. As far as I know only ASP s have such textbooks and they are not for the public.

What you can do is to search with Google to find websites. Maybe you can find some pictures, but that s all you can do.
