G550 OSD Hotkey problem

Hi every1

I have a Lenovo g550 (20023 model name) and after installing the vista hp sp2, I can't do the osd shortcut key works. I tried to install 7jif12ww.exe (I installed, not only it extracted) after installation restart request, after the reboot, nothing happens; I also tried 6jvu34ww.exe but when I tried to install it I'm stuck where I "select the packages you want and then click on install." Software updates... "because I can not choose anything that the field is black, nothing shows.

The button "onekey recovery" also does not work.

I installed video drivers of lenovo g550 driver, driver version 7.15.0010.1591 (in English) page.

PS: why I don't get a vista recovery cd/DVDs? (with all the drivers included) actually, I did not receive any cd. If I pay for vista all that I get is a sticker on the back of my laptop which cost aprox. 100 euro. HOW COOL!

Hello

Try to install the driver of energy management...

  • Disable the HP Support OSD hotkey

    Hello

I have a HP Probook 6550 b and just downloaded/installed the latest version of HP Hotkey support on Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit) to allow my keyboard shortcuts work correctly.

I noticed there is a pop up on the screen every time num/caps/ScrollLock lights, how can I disable this?

It is very annoying because I travel often in and out of the machine virtual windows and the OSD keeps popping up in the corner of my eye all the time.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind regards

    Andrew

I face the same problem with my EliteBook 8770w. I found this support doc which gives a solution to disable specific notifications to tweak the registry.

P.S. It's a shame that DELL has done better!

  • ThinkPad x 61 hotkey problem win7 x 64

Hi all, it's my first walk in this forum and I am hoping to get the solution from here. I have Thinkpad x 61 and this is the first problem with it. It's not exactly the problem, but for me it is very annoing. Hotkey on the screen does not appear. I installed all the drivers required manually and keyboard shortcuts work fine-it change in brightness, volume keys work, BUT where is no on screen meter to show how is my screen or how strong or mute is the noise. I'm trying to get the solution for a couple of days, but without success. Any ideas?
PS before I was using win 7 x 86 and 2 GB of ram. Everything was perfect, and it shows correctly. I decided to upgrade my x 61 and installed 4 GB of ram and SSD. To this end, I installed the bios Middleton to use full sata II speed and installed win7 x 64 to use all my 4 GB of ram. I downloaded all the drivers required manually by ID and installed in the order: support for chipsets, display, audio, trackpoint, power, Manager supply management pilot, features of keyboard shortcut, experience of devices, wireless, dial-up connection. I read all the treads to simular problem, but they don't work for me

  • Satellite L40 - 17R - FN Volume Hotkey problem - Windows XP

    Hello

    I recently bought satellite L40 - 17R (PSL4CE) without a preinstalled OS. I installed Windows XP Home Edition SP2.

Then I installed all the drivers, that I found for this model on the site of Toshiba driver. I've even updated BIOS.
After this, all Fn keys works fine * except those responsible for volume control (Fn + up/down, Esc) *.
I searched the forum for the solution of this problem and found this topic
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=113113
but I can't not to install + ATK Hotkey Utility + and + ATK Hotkey Driver + since I can't find * Driver Package * to the site driver Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU
    as if it was deleted.

I also studied the instructions of the
    http://Support1.toshiba-tro.de/Tedd-files2/0/install-20071214121932.zip
Driver package is also mentioned it on page 7, 8, 9, but he does not appear in a + driver + type listbox as described.

Also when I specify the "Driver Type" field in the search engine there is not a driver Package in the search result.

Can someone tell me where to find the Driver Package, ATK Hotkey Utility or ATK Hotkey Driver for Satellite L40 + Win XP?
Am I missing something? My Toshiba drivers link is not updated? Is there another solution to make sound keys to work?

  • Vista Windows Media Player Hotkey problem

    Hello

I play online games often enough, but seem to continue to press the shortcut key to open wmp (although I don't know what it is, I'm pretty sure that there at least involved Esc button).  I read a ton of forums who say I can't uninstall this program, so that may have to wait, but is there a "sanctioned MS' way to disable the keyboard shortcut to make it disable wmp in general?  This should not at all anyway, as I am running a game on top, so why Vista still takes orders while the game is running in the foreground is beyond me.

Also, many for fun, wmp still ad media libraries on my local network even if I disabled it in the options.  Any thoughts outside myself using my firewall to drop these packets?

    General information:

Solution of Symantec Firewall (except if you specifically need this generic)
    uninstalled media keyboard "improvements."
    Vista Home premium

    Hello Rick Meres,

Thank you for posting.  As that's not on the other Vista PC, I must say it seems to be associated with driver.  There are also a few keyboard shortcuts that get "through the subsystem" and still works (ALT + Enter and ALT + Tab for example).  You might want to try uninstalling the keyboard software (make sure you have the installation media before you try this) to see if this will solve the problem.  I say this because I have a G15 keyboard and it will by default add some features and commands that I don't want when I install the software.  Your keyboard software can also offer options to configure the software it also installs.

Please try this and let me know if it helps you. Zack

  • Acer Aspire 5738Z Driver Hotkey problem

I bought a laptop (Acer Aspire 5738Z) with Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 installed. Of course, the laptop came with many other software pre-installed Acer. I reinstalled W7 Home Premium, repartioned my HARD drive, I did a clean install (formatted the HARD drive, repartioned he C, D partitions). After that, I installed all the drivers for my system drivers download Acer.com section.

I have a few keys on my laptop (wireless, bluetooth, Backup Manager - 3 keys in the left corner of the keyboard). (volume and the "P" key (I read what a user programmable key) in the right corner of the keyboard).

After the driver installation of "Launch Manager" which is of these keyboard shortcuts, the 'P' key does not work properly (eg. Before reinstall W7 this key launched an application in which I could define what App should be open when I press (e.g. open the browser)) now it opens a window in which I can set these keys (http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/2117/pkey.jpg), but I don't have them on my laptop.

My question is: How can I install the driver that came with my laptop for the P key opens the user-defined application and not the window you can see in the link I posted. Please help, I tried over and over again on the internet but I can not find a solution. Thanks (sorry for my English if I get errors) If you have any questions for me, I'll be there to answer.

  • G550 BIOS Update Fail

    Hello...

I am a proud user of laptop Lenovo G550

No problem so far, up to what I tried to update the BIOS.

I followed the instructions by the book, but when I press on install on archive self-extracting, extract starts and i to get the code: error 5

Problem seems to be that I have the privilege of the administration, even if I have the administrator account and it is password protected.

Program seems to start (the BIOS update software) and then the error popup saying phlashnt.sys driver could not be loaded and that I should reboot and log in as administrator.

My first thought was that my anti-virus software is the cause, so I turned off and tried again, but that has no effect. I use free Comodo Internet Security Premium.

More respect for you people to support staff and I hope that a solution for this.

    Best regards

Your OSD locked problem isn't a XP problem - it's a question of monitor Dell which you can read here:

  • New NB200 with Windows 7 preinstalled Fn shortcuts keyboard does not work

I just purchase the NB200 later with Windows 7 preinstalled (new version with 250 GB hard drive).
However the Fn keys do not work.

The machine is straight out of the box, no change.

I have to do something to activate the access keys.

I've heard Hotkey problems with windows 7 and the need to install that package added value of Toshiba.
However I don't is not expected to have to do this on a brand new machine pre-installed.

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Thank you

You are right. New portable computers are delivered with the settings and everything should work fine.
I don't have Win7 on my laptop but I presume that it is similar to Vista, then go to start > all programs > Toshiba > utilities and check if there are shortcuts to restart Flash cards.
Maybe you'll be able to turn it on again.

Nothing happens when you press the FN key and hold a few seconds?

My second question is can I upgrade my system Windows Vista freely.

My Hotmail ID of single widows is: [redacted]

    Rigaut

First of all - do not post in a public forum product keys.

Second - "OSB LOCKED"... Of course you did not mean "OSD LOCKED?  (a 'd' and not a 'B'...)

OSD is the "On Screen Display" and has nothing to do with what version of Windows you have - but with yor monitor.  Look here:
    http://www.thefakegeek.com/2009/04/how-to-unlock-an-OSD-lockout-problem/
    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-desktop-PC-questions/OSD-locked/TD-p/40291

Last - is impossible to freely pass your system to Windows Vista.  Windows Vista is a product different from Windows XP and you will need to obtain a license.

  • Satellite M100-JG2 HotKey and date and time problem

    Hi all

I'm not very good with computers, and I've had some problems for a while now. My laptop is almost three years, I don't know why I'm writing this after so long but anyway. I think they are called "keys" or "launchkeys", hopeyfully, you know what I mean, but anyway they do no more work. They worked for a while, but they do not work now. I went into the control panel and went into the 'Toshiba' orders and tried to change what does each control, but it still does not work. No one knows how to fix?

Also, another problem that I had since I first laptop is my date and time are screwed up. If I put my 15:30 time, it works perfectly, until around 16:15, that when he goes back to 15:30 and go all the way up to 16:15 and continues in this cycle until I manually change the time. I had a few friends (no professional) to look at, but can not understand. When I start my laptop I go to settings in the start screen, try to change it was from there, but it keeps going during the cycle. If I click on the time and click on the tab "internet time" and say "update now", it updates, and then only time will work normally, but only until I turn off my laptop. Once I turn it on then next turn, it passes through this new cycle of 45 minutes. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix?

I'm not very good at explaining, but I hope you guys can help! I appreciate it really :) Show!

The Toshiba Satellite M100. M100-JG2 seems to be a Canadian series laptop. I recommend you to visit the driver Toshiba Canada page and to download and reinstall the tool called controls, Toshiba HotKey Utility, touch and launch.

I think that you have changed the date and time in the BIOS. Is this good?
If not, change it and don t forget to save the changes.

In Control Panel--> Date and time--> time tab Internet, please uncheck the auto sync with the internet time server.
In the other, called tab time zone please choose the right time zone and activate the tick to the option called automatically adjust the clock for an advance of changes
