Update CPU is not certainly supported and I think you should know this.
There are different reasons for this > http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

As far as I know it is designed without special BIOS for these purposes, especially not for public use.
Try to contact Toshiba service in your country and ask for help.

  • Satellite 4090 BIOS number - message "ready for the update BIOS... ' appears

Hi all! Excuse my poor English because I'm french.

A friend gives me his cell phone (a Satellite exactly 4090CDS) because he had a problem.
In fact, the problem is that when I turn on the computer, I have a single message (not even the toshiba red logo) that is "ready for the update of the BIOS. Place the BIOS update floppy in the drive and press any key when you are ready to move forward."

So I go to the french site of toshiba, in the BIOS download, I find that I must download this update: http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/bios/satellite/4030-4060-100/bios_820.zip

OK, I download and unpack it on a floppy disk and I start the laptop with the disjette, he said that the update has been successful and it restarts automatically.
This time, the Red toshiba logo appears, but then I have a black screen with a message:

    Bad checksum (CMOS) *.
Check the system. Then press the [F1] key.

And after that, I can't do anything, not even, press F1. If I restart the laptop, I myself meet once more with the first message «Ready for the update of the BIOS...» "and it's still the same.

If someone could help me understand what the problem is, that would be fine.
    Thank you.

    Bastien.

It sounds as if your CMOS chip has a problem. It is possible to s that the CMOS battery has failed and the BIOS settings are lost.
Maybe the RTC battery is empty. In this case, you should connect the AC adapter to charge the battery of the CCF.
Please note that the RTC battery (CMOS battery) can be fluffed once the main laptop battery has been recharged. In this case, the charge process may take several hours.

But if after this long process of load this message appears again then I guess the battery is dead.
I suggest that you only contact your ASP closest to get your phone checked.

  • HP ENVY 15-j140na: BIOS Version F.67 Rev.A, update July 7

I tried to start the portable Envy above today (July 8) and the BIOS has been corrupted. If I got flashed via USB with the latest version, just published yesterday on July 7.

It may have been pure chance around the date but there was a vulnerability in the previous BIOS?

("- Provides improved UEFI code and variable security.") Or is it more likely to be my machine?

(I have not used the machine in a week or more, it was in hibernation).

    Is there a changelog anywhere?

Sorry, there is no change log. Under patches and unavailability in the BIOS on the software details, updates to the BIOS of the past all three indicate "Provides a security enhanced code of UEFI and variable" or similar.

  • Compaq Presario CQ71-320SA: failure of the update of the BIOS via Support Assistant / should I update anyway?

This morning I found that my laptop had not finished closing 8 hours ago. I stopped by pressing the button Off for 6 seconds and restarted. I then looked a likely cause and saw that a BIOS problem was probably the cause.

I'm went to the site of HP support & with information about http://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c00007682, I followed step 1 and I saw that my BIOS is F.11 21/08/2009.

Support site told me that I need F.11Rev1/20/10/2014. I installed, rebooted and saw that he had failed.

What's worse, is that the program Insyde update it says that the 2009 version is updated - see below.

More old Compaq Presario CQ71-320SA screwed up by free upgrade from Microsoft of Win7 for Win10

    Hello

You can manually update the BIOS for your laptop by downloading from the link below:

The current version available is F.23

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp51501-52000/sp51527.exe

Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.

You will notice may-continuous display blank for a few seconds, which is quite normal. Once the update is actually the device automatically restarts.

Note to back up your data before performing the update. Also have your adapter connected to the laptop.

  • BIOS directory not found error message - update BIOS T430s

I recently bought a T430s (Type: 2352CTO) and thought I should try to update the BIOS to version 1.11 to 1.16.

I have downloaded g1uj07uc.iso and burned the CD in the BIOS. After you restart the computer with the CD, I get an error message:

The BIOS directory was not found. The process has not completed.

I also tried the method of flashing the BIOS utility and got the same error.

Anyone have this problem recently? Any suggestions?

  • BIOS - about 1.65 1.67 update

I am running Windows 8 on a X 1 version.  I've updated to 1.65 has during the beta because this version was supposed to be the best for windows 8 and UEFI boot - I dual boot Windows and Kubuntu UEFI only.,

I see now 1.67 is out, but when I try to update using a CD, I get the message that I'm downgrading my version of the bios, and I wish to do.

    Current: 8MET8065 (1.65 A)

    also 8MHT77W (2.00)

The new is 8MUJ15UC and is supposed to be 1.67.

I don't want to press go on the downgrade if, for example, the content of the file is wrong - the system does not identify the version that I install, unfortunately...

    Bill

    ' afternoon.

I looked at your driver matrix: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&DocID=HT051705

and the BIOS v1.67 page: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS018224

near the bottom is a list of older versions. looking for 1.65 and 1.66 text files, there is no mention of support for Win8, while 1.67 is 1 who does. My w-a-g is only the beta version that you are running, 1.65, is just outside the normal code tree branch and, therefore, the current update is not manage versioning in a coherent way and you're really not "decommissioning". you would just re - enter the main code tree branch.

is there a specific problem you want to solve it with the most recent BIOS? or to research to get the beta?

    Kind regards.

  • ThinkPad W701 - deleted BIOS, USB/Esata mysterious problems before update

    Hello

Yesterday I was supposed to tto try my new external drive esata, I had previously used with my EX495 homeserver, without any problem.

But when I connected to the W701 it seemed that the connection has failed and the drive fell to sleep when I tried to write for her. When I used USB it worked perfectly and with the esata Server worked without a hitch.

After trying some time, I decided to try the lacie updater and then a reboot. After that, all ports usb failed.

I had already watched the Lenovo updateprogram and found some updates, so I ordered the computer with the trackpad and updated, but when the computer suddenly restarted and screen shows underscore flashing and that's it. After that, the screen went black and no longer lights.

I it for 4-5 weeks now and after 1 week the Mo failed when defining new ram and has passed, there is now not yet - is there anything I could to, or should it return service?

I did not help - Lenovo replaces the MB, at least this start.

  • Satellite T210 - Windows 8 x 64 drivers and BIOS update

Toshiba support would anyone tell me if and when we can expect Windows 8 x 64 drivers for Toshiba T210? The equipment is fairly standard. I'm sure it's very easy to compile the drivers available in the official version

I also wanted to know like when Toshiba T210 finally gets the update of the BIOS. Its current version of BIOS is 1.60 while many other models similar and earlier jumped to version 2.2 of BIOS and above

    Kind regards

It is user forum so that you will not receive response from Toshiba support directly.
What I can say is followed by:
All about Win8 on Toshiba laptops, you can read on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8-message/
Under the terms of the Toshiba compatibility matrix, you can check if your phone model is supported for Win8 or not.

What about BIOS. Toshiba doesn't offer updated BIOS if there is not a critical issue or a reason for it. If your piece of hardware working well and stable there is no reason to update BIOS. What do you expect should happen with the latest version of the BIOS?

  • NB305-442BL - problem with BIOS

    Hello friends

What happens is that while the mother this screenshot blue machine and since that has begun since I did a BIOS update, it comes to update the BIOS for NB305 netbooks, but it seems I'm wrong on the model already I noticed that the machine was a 442BL, may be able to correct for the machine for me BIOS no problem , or there will be a form any of the decommissioning of the BIOS of the machine to which I had before giving problems, greetings

    Post edited by: Fercheins

    Hello

First the NB305-442BL is not known to me, I googled for this model number and cannot find a template containing this serial number. What NB305-xxx you have exactly?

Secondly, I think that the BIOS is not the problem here. Generally it should be impossible to upgrade the BIOS if you want to use the version of the BIOS is not compatible.
Usually, you should get a message saying that the BIOS is not compatible during the updating procedure and the update procedure should be cancel automatically.

In your case, I recommend the BIOS to default settings. Access the BIOS by pressing F2 for the BIOS settings. Here, press F9 for default settings, and then save changes F10 before you exit the BIOS.

In addition, the BSOD can be caused by software problems. Perhaps the system is confused to have you tried a fresh install of OS to make sure that the BSOD isn t caused by the failure of the system? Would be worth a check.
