G62-219WM

I just took a G62-219WM laptop a little over a year ago and I am on my way to College when it stops working. The computer is running windows 7 Home Premium with a product of the computer WQ760UA #ABA number. I am able to start the computer and enter into setting up the boot sequence set the cd rom drive or HDD after you save changes and restart the computer it goes to a screen that is black with a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen. I put the boot options for the two internal hard drive first and to the first cd-rom drive. The reason why I put it in cd rom drive has been trying to update the BIOS i downloaded from HP. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. No changes were made to the computer I know.

After the digitization of all devices HDD, memory and many other diagnostic tests within the untilities of computers have passed successfully. Although I had a problem with the battery, I was able to remove from the equation and continue on. I'm trying to access the recovery partition to take the com [puter to the original operating sysytem. I will now move forward with a clean install and try to get back to the recovery.

  • HP G62-219WM stuck on the HP splash screen

    I have a HP G62-219WM is almost 3, I think.

There are a few weeks the mouse, keyboard, and all open applications would freeze until I pressed the power button. I don't remember seeing all the strange sights, or installation of all recent downloads, but it could have happened. I ran the recovery option of the system who asked if I wanted to bring the computer back how it was shipped from the factory. I chose Yes and everything was dandy.

When I shut down the computer, and tried to turn it back on, I can hear it come alive, but after firing first screen (HP Blue big logo in the Middle, and "Press ESC for Boot Menu" in the lower left corner), it freezes. I have to turn it off with the power button, unplug the power supply and the battery and restart for that go beyond this screen. The next time that I stop it, it will freeze here again unless I get out the power supply Plug and the battery first then the computer is always turned off.

I tried running system restore twice more, I have tried running TDSSKiller, since as has been recommended in case it was a question of "rootkit".

I also tried to re - run the tool twice, system recovery in the case where something happened the first time.

I also tried out the HDD, there to reconnect and power up. Of course, given that I took out the battery while I did this, the computer fine. After the shut off again, it's not past this screen.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try to run a diagnostic on your hard drive. Tap the F8 key start (F5 not sure maybe) and run a diagnostics. You may need to restart.

You may have some corrupted hard disk sectors.

You can also have a registry problem. While you may have reset everything back to factory default sometimes the registry is not fully formatted.

In order to check your registry I would download the following:

    http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner

Run the registry cleaner on the free version.

    Hope that solve it.

    All the best!

  • G62-219WM recovery disks does not

Hi, I recently tried recovery (Win7 Home 64 bit) through the partition recovery on the computer itself, after the computer has a bad virus. I got some error messages (don't remember exactly now) but suffice it to say that the recovery has not worked. I get a message every time I turn on the computer:

    "BOOTMGR missing".

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart»

I could always get into the recovery mode, but would still get the error recovery failed.

Apparently, I neglected to do the recovery disks initially, and I also no PC on DVD backup system image.

I bought the HP factory records and received them yesterday. I installed the and had no message that something was wrong. I thought that they would solve my problem, but once the system rebooted and finished "installation files", she returned to the BOOTMGR message. I can't even get in the way of recovery through the computer more, it seems, there is no recovery partition more despite records saying they made a. After researching and trying different tips and tricks and sneak in to watch the files on the computer itself, I assumed that Windows is not yet officially installed on the computer. The C:\ drive is almost completely empty save a few files/folders, there is a "(X:\) bootdisk with all windows files, but they do nothing. There is also an icon for the Recycle Bin, and Control Panel, but they come with errors that they do not exist if clicked.

I tried to delete the partitions and start again then recovery disks, but that doesn't seem to change anything. I also downloaded an ISO that starts the computer into recovery mode, but he finds no OS, and I tried to go to the entry screen and typing in various orders directly, but even once, cannot find the files that Web sites suggest you to change or correct.

I'm doing something wrong? It seems that the HP recovery disks have made things worse!

I ordered Windows 7 from Amazon, but being that it's so expensive, and I begin to doubt even that will fix my problems, I wanted to see if there was nothing left to try, or if I was doing something wrong.

I was working with my friend last night who knows a lot about Windows and computers in general, but he came up to the top with the same fixes that I had already tried, and they have not worked for him either.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Hello

I never used the "phone Activation" when using this method (activation online certainly has not worked in the past when you use an OEM product key), but recently, I had a response from someone who I had suggested this procedure, saying that it enabled online so I can't say for some others I know that activation of the phone always worked when I used this method.

  • HPG62 219 - WM keyboard does not

I'm working on Hp G62 laptop last week. The owner he brought with the keyboard off and in working order No. He said, the keyboard just stop working. I couldn't get his old keyboard works, so I ordered it a new. Moreover, a usb keyboard works. I check the warranty on this laptop & it's always good, but, by removing the keyboard, I don't know if it will void the warranty.  I had the new keyboard today and installed & it works exactly like his old keyboard does not. None of the buttons work but the wireless key does not illuminate & caps locks start flashes on & off power.  I hope that some has a solution & be something for me if it will void its warranty. In my view, the problem could be a motherboard problem, it still might be a software to.

I posted having problem with G62-219wm keyboard does not. I replaced with new keyboard & still no difference & the system & restored to factory settings. I concluded that it was a bad mother, I contacted Hp & it was still under warranty, so I sent in & of course they had to replace the motherboard. The problem was there no is more type or key would work so, one thing was wireless light would work & would work in the light of the key caps. If you connect a usb keyboard, it works like a charm. I hope this helps for others who have a laptop Hp G62 /.

  • Administrator account locking and appearance of the 'No Drive' dialog box

    I have a laptop Compaq G62-219WM.

He is 4-5 months old. It seems that I made a big mistake with regard to the hard drive.

It has never been connected to the internet, modem, router, been put into line, or even been recorded yet, because I was with my old desktop computer these last 4-5 months in order to take the necessary time and learn my way around the laptop and get it set up correctly a few hours per week. I have little knowledge of computers.

    THE PROBLEM:

I took the advice of a member of the community on how to uninstall games that have settled - Wild Tangent - and entered the C drive, found the games and clicked on "Uninstall" for each of them.

They were all sent to the Recycle Bin, everything as promised. Gone! Tabula Rasa!

While still in the same session, I deleted the Recycle Bin before determining if 'uninstall' it in drive C assigned computer, one way or another.  Lesson learned!

Thus, after the stop of the laptop and then restarting him then later, I typed the password for the ADMIN ACCOUNT as usual and received the following response:

"The user name or password is incorrect" with a big red X.

When you click on 'Close', I got a message "reset the password... ».

When you click on the message "reset the password... "in order to try the ADMIN ACCOUNT password a second time, the following dialog box came:

    'No drive '.

"This feature requires removable media, such as a floppy disk or USB flash drive. Please insert a disk or connect a USB flash drive, and then try again. »

I have no idea what it means. The foregoing happens whenever I type the CORRECT password. Can someone tell me if "Uninstalling" Wild Tangent games in C drive took with her, the data needed for 'Admin Login '.

Have no idea of what the dialog box 'No. Drive' wants me to. I don't understand very well to computer language. How devices recommended in the dialog box will help me go back to the 'Admin' account with the correct password. I have an account 'Standard' set up that I can enter in, but not privleges Admin account with it--can't make a big part at all - I don't think I can even connect to the internet when the time comes without Admin rights account.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Phil

    {Information}

    Hi Phil,

There is no reason I can think of that to uninstall wild tangent games should affect your ability to open a session.  Try the following to see if you can access your account again.

Download the ISO on the following link.

    PC Loogin now ISO

Once downloaded, use a program such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO on a CD file correctly.  A guide on how to use it is on the link below.

    PC connection Guide now

Insert the CD into your PC, you cannot connect to and restart to boot from the disc.

I hope that this should simply remove your password altogether, so you can configure then comes a new.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

    Here's my laptop details:

    Model No.: HP G62-361TX

    OS: Windows Ultimate 32 bit

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello:

You need this driver for the PCI communication controller.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-80009-1 & CC = US & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 4062 & Product = 4296702 & sw_lang=.

I need to view the ID of the hardware for the network controller (you can copy and paste text directly from Device Manager), so I can post the link to the drivers for it.

Go to Device Manager, then click on the network with the small yellow controller! Select this option.

Then follow these instructions to find the hardware ID.

The hardware for a Windows device id is located in the Windows Device Manager. To check the hardware for a device id, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Device Manager in the Control Panel. You can also type "devmgmt.msc" in the run option in the Start menu.
    2. In Device Manager, right click on the device and select Properties from the context menu.
    3. Then, select the Details tab.
    4. Now select the hardware ID in the drop-down list.

  • NETWORK CONTROLLER DRIVER FOR HP - G62

Hello: Had to install the new HD and Windows7 64-bit o/s in a HP G62 - 358 (Prod #X6950UA) CA.  But the without wire is not recognized and I can not find the drivers for the controller network - Hdwr I.D. PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8171 & SUBSYS_1467103C & REV_10

The network card is Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller... dunno if that governs the wireless as well?

Would appreciate anyone who can point me in the right direction... I tried all the drivers for the HP download page, but can't get anything to work.

    Thank you.

You are the very welcome, Mark.

Nothing is never easy, is it?

I've never seen this error and have no idea of what that means.

I'm not a resolution of network issues.

My expertise lies in finding drivers. When they do not work as expected, I don't know what to do anymore than the next guy.

Uninstall this driver and try like that of the support page and the driver of your laptop.

Maybe your PC has a problem with the latest driver.
