Hello
I searched a lot of Q & A from answer.microsoft, and none of them has been completely useful after many errors and try so I found it useful especially for iWin games:
1. in the folder that you installed your game, find the original executable file (it has a '. EXE"after him or before him under the type you can see 'application')"

2. right-click on it and choose Properties.
3. choose ""Compatibility " tab."
4 adjustment like this image:

5 do you have a fun game of time :)

  • Message "General Extraction error location ARE 1"

I have the means to go to the Bowling game and was able to play until a few days ago, I got the error "General Extraction location ARE 1" and I can't get in the game.  I looked online to see what this error is and he can't find where.  I contacted Pogo, where I had the game and Oberon Media, the creators of the game and can help find a solution to my problem.  The only thing I've done to my computer, it's do all the updates of Java, windows and McAfee (my virus program).  I have windows XP.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Jack,
Thanks a lot for your answer.  I deleted all records of three in the C drive and not seen any sign of the game in my computer so I re-installed.  The re - install put the shortcut on my desktop, so I tried to go in there and got the same 'general Extraction error location ES 1' and the game will not load.  Went through the start menu and tried and received the same message.  I returned to my computer > lecteurC > program files > oberon media > way to go Bowling and open this folder.  The record was filled of records and other icons, so I started to search in folders.  There is an icon that says 'Way to go Bowling Application Electronic Arts' and when I clicked on that, load the game and I was able to play the game.  Because I didn't get into the game this way, whenever I play, I went back to this icon and click right and found the 'send to the office', so I did.  When I click on it on my desk, the game loads and I can play.  I deleted the shortcut that was created during installation and use the one I sent to the desktop and can play now.  Don't know what past or why, I'm so happy I can play this game.

    Thank you

  • General extraction error location gs1

Since Windows 8 is out, Iwin games (and now the PlayFirst games) have trouble with an extraction error location gs1 General when some of the older games are open. Changes in compatibility mode do NOT work, no matter which version is chosen. Re-booting help not (so no suggestions for a clean boot, please). iWin is working hard to add a file that bypasses this file, but let's face it. The problem is with Windows 8, not the games, since the games worked before and with the patch, working now. However, they have a lot of games requiring the patch and he's taken more than a year and they have not yet all fixed games. If - Microsoft, can come you up with a fix that solves the problem of Windows 8 and 8.1 side that we can add to our computers - not games - and then the games will work. It is obvious to me that he has probably a file .dll or something like that which is missing from Windows 8 that causes the problem, then can fix you this before starting to work on Windows 9, please? Thank you.

    Hello

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (update your video/display driver).

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your
System. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address
of the driver, description, version, product name, company that created the driver, and
    more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

To check system drivers manufacturer as replacements and camera manufacturer who are most
current. Control Panel - device - Display Adapter Manager - note the brand and
fill out the template tab of the driver for your card video - double-click - write down the
the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind
certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver
    stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd
evening with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration), and then
Site of the manufacturer of the device (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions.
(Review of the BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system while there).

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT
    After each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you install
actually arises. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed
(particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot - check is to be sure
    installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

OK, pretty much since I have received this laptop I had a problem with the keyboard or mouse when you play. Everything works very well, and adults in general unless you're gaming.

The keys in the game (say HL, HL2, Quake II, GTA, etc) are used to 'paste' in a direction for a second or more, or they have a slow reaction, as with mouse clicks. You could be market forward on the left and then hit to walk upright, but he would continue to walk forward and left for an extra second or two and then go right. I formatted the computer with the recovery disc and the error remained. I then formatted with my own clean copy of XP pro and the problem is STILL there, it must be linked to the material and not related to the software. I even tried an external USB keyboard and he did the same thing.

I have a feeling that its to do with the use of RAM or CPU, but can't be sure. The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A30-921, and the shared video memory chip RAM - the video is an ATI Radeon 9000 Mobility. You can choose to use 64 MB of RAM or 128 MB of RAM, the two are still the problem.

I am at my wits end with this, because the problem causes a lot of grief when playin fast movement of the FPS. I tried to email Toshiba and they just told me to ring customers, and I don't think they won't be of any help. Its really annoyin me since I've had this laptop partly for the reason of the game.

If someone has an idea, it would be much appreciated.

    512 MB OF RAM
ATI Radeon 9000 Mobility (UMB shared 64 MB or 128 MB)
    40 GB HARD drive
    FireWire/LAN etc.

    Hello

I asked my friend on his opinion because he is a maniac in the game what he thinks about. This laptop you is certainly not a game machine, he said. You must set the graphics settings. HL and Quake II should in his work but HL 2 has to complex graphic applications and it will not work properly.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

    Hi all...

    Hello Brent,.

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

I see that iTunes is leaving after an update when you play songs to AirPlay devices. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to help isolate and resolve the cause of the error.

If you haven't done so already, don't forget to restart your network devices and receivers of the AirPlay. For AirPort Extreme, I suggest a "soft reset" for now as mentioned in resetting an airport station base FAQ.

Then try the AirPlay test in safe mode and a new account on your Mac user. The following steps can help to eliminate software conflicts in your user account and can give us an indication of the additional troubleshooting steps to try then.

You can use this Support article as a guide to complete both of these steps-How to test one question in another user on your Mac account.

When it comes to tests in a new user, you need to import a few songs in iTunes for testing library. Here are some links to help with the signing in music Apple or download past purchases:

    Download your latest purchases

    Turn on iCloud music library

    Best regards.

  • Qosmio X 500 - blue screen or system crash when you play

I have problems with my new laptop.
The laptop is a week and I get frequent blue screen errors and system crashes when you play.
At this time I only tried to play a game: World of Warcraft.

    I have run on:
The original that came pre-installed graphic drivers.
The latest updated drivers from the Web from Toshiba site.
The latest drivers for laptop on the Nvidia site.
I also removed all the drivers and allowed Windows update to find it's own who have a different version again.

In these four cases, drivers seem to work fine for a while, but will eventually stop responding and the system crash when I start to play a game.
It happens shortly after the start of a game and other times it can happen after a few hours of game play.
Sometimes it will result in a blue screen, sometimes the game will change from windows with the error message on the display driver does not.

I also did a clean installation using my own copy of Windows 7 with the amount of the absolute minimum of software installed to rule anything that might cause a conflict which was preinstalled.

I also tried to run to run the game in compatibility mode, although I had no problem with my laptop last run the game in Windows 7.

The windows event log always indicates a problem with the graphics.

Did someone else has similar problems or found a solution?
For a laptop that is announced for the game, I would have thought that this kind of thing would not be a problem.

    Hey,.

In my opinion, it has something to do with the display driver or the graphics card itself I always use the most recent display of the official website of Toshiba (NOT nvVidia) driver because they are pre-tested. If you install the latest driver from Toshiba.

After this also make sure that you use the latest version of the BIOS. You can download on the official website of Toshiba too.

I put t know how long you have your laptop, but it should be cleaned from time to time (3-4 months). Therefore, you can use jet of compressed air to blow off the dust.

    Check it!

I have the game in compatibility mode for XP SP2, but before that I did, the same error occurred.

The error when I finally force close and turn on the computer named blue screen (although when the computer froze, there was no blue screen, just the image of the frozen game, and the sound was still running like nothing happened.)  I don't remember the other information contained in the error.

    Chronology of the error:

    • I opened the game and it loads fine.
    • I go through the menus and select the park that I want to play and it loads fine.
    • I'll be working or seeking / everything I do at the Park, when suddenly it freezes.
    • I turned off the computer and turn it back on.
    • Startup takes a little longer than normal.
    • Windows opens the error message (which I don't remember the details.)

More precisely what I mean by freeze (obvious, maybe, but just try to be specific as possible):

    • No mice.
    • Without ctrl alt del ability.
    • No capacity alt tab.
    • No windows key capability.
    • Necessary to force to stop with the button on the computer.

Any suggestions?  Also, I'm not sure what other information you need to know, so if there are more details, just ask.

    Thank you.

    Hello coasterfreak220,

Unfortunately, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 is not compatible with Windows 7. You must have the Windows xp mode in order to install and run it.

I tested the ram in Memtest86 from one day to the next without any problem. I tried different sets of 4 GB and they all work very well. The problem is when I try to use 8 GB.

    My computer has the following:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Shaxs,

I suggest you to perform a clean boot and see if all the third-party applications is in conflict with the performance of the game.

To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows 7, follow these steps.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

In addition, refer to the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode

I also suggest you access the link below and read the MazterZz solution for a similar problem and see if it can solve.

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/fi-fi/w7itproperf/thread/dc1e03c0-1cc0-4878-b943-cf4687d9b4b5

The user in the link above rectified the mistake by uninstalling Xeno NIC. If by chance you have the same NETWORK card, you can try the above resolution and see if that fixes the problem.

Let us know for any further assistance
