Generic error import for MOV files with lower rate

I copied several video files from my iPhone 4s to my laptop (Windows 7) and tried to import them in first 14 elements. Some of them import successfully, some of them will result in a failure of the support add with the message "the importer reported a generic error." Looking for the files causing outages, I noticed they have a rate lower than all other files. The majority are 29 and those who fail are 27 or 28 fps. Is there a way to fix this error or around?

Thank you!

  • Error importing for .prproj files

so I just hit mc adobe CS4 for the first time, my church is allowing me to use the studio/editing room while being not used during the day at certain times. I am compiling my wedding dvd to make it more proffessional than the already made vesion (which looks very amateur with a menu of basic model and so on). I intend to use some flash on the menus and perhaps even include an Easter egg as well. in any case, with the other program I imported all the media of the camera (which is a HARD drive camera that records everything in files is a MOD) I had a converter is a mod for a while so who are already saved converted.i on an external HARD drive, I have created a folder on the computer and just hung out and banged against the back.

in any case, with my old program (cyberlink power producer) I just import media into the editor, make the changes and cuts and save the project. then import the project in the program of the author to make the menus and burn it. When I first pulled the program to acclimate to it, I decided to run through a test empty very fast a start full of stop the dvd of a very small video burning. I did a short set of clips and montages in first (the oevr all the project are like time 6 minutes). saved the project, and when I go to import the project into yet he bed "the software that is used to decode the media is not available on this system" "adobe still the software that is used to decode the media is not available on this system. install the correct decoders for the file you are editing can help fix the problem. »

I can code the project as an mpeg, and it imports fine. I can import individual clips that make up the project in again, they work very well as well.but if I import the .prproj file, it gives me the error. So what's the deal? can you drag and drop these same files? I just try to keep permanently encoding files after 3 encodes, I fear that the video quality will suffer too much damage, so I will try to do where I can simply import the project and then at the end of burn the project to a dvd.

I figured it better ask here, this way I look like a crazy person, anonymously and doesn't look like a fool to people I don't really know. Heh.

CS4 works differently than does CyberLink. You change PrPro and author in Encore. You have two choices on how to get your material edited in yet. We can use Adobe Dynamic Link of PrPro yet and still going to do the transcoding of all for you, or you can export PrPro as a DV - AVI or transcode MPEG-2 compatible DVD. I will not comic book here, just the DVD-video.

Method you choose is yours. If you decide to do the transcoding in PrPro 100% compatible MPEG-2 DVD, you want to read about "bit-budgeting", because you will need to take the necessary decisions.

Now, let's talk PRPROJ file for a while. This ARTICLE will give you background on what they are, and why they matter not in yet, you've discovered. Along the way, some of the ins-n-out of Saving the Project files you press too. The difference from CyberLink is he talks behind the scenes between its modules. With PrPro and again, you will need to use Adobe Dynamic Link (ADL) - the same thing, but you kind of move to the 'surface' in Adobe.

The help files will give you a complete overview on ADL.

    Hope this helps,

Looking at the specs of your camera (SJCam 4000), we already know what video compression your camera uses. It is H.264.

A H.264.mov file should be accompanied by a first elements 11. On what computer operating system is your first items 11 running?

You have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer? And, you use QuickTime and first of 11 elements of a

Account user with administrative privileges? Please go to Premiere elements 11 publish + share/computer/QuickTime to confirm that you will find

What are the properties of these files H.264.mov - is it 1080 p (1920 x 1080 p 30) 30 or something else? Do you know if this device is registering with a variable or

Please check and review and then we'll decide what next.

Problems with first Pro CC, I can't import. MOV files created with my Canon 6 d.

It is a new installation of first CC on a new computer. I was able to import them using first Pro CC on the old computer.

QuickTime will play well these files on my new computer.

Premiere Pro CS6 will import these files to the new computer.

First Pro CC would open them well on my old computer.

I am on Windows 7, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime 7 with no luck. The video will not reproduce with QT. Reading is a bit jerky in VLC. I also tried to import the clip to the first CS6. Everytime I try I get the error message "Codec missing or unavailable. I have redownloaded the image a couple of times just in case there was a problem with the initial download.  I went through the old forums without a bit of luck and I was wondering if you guys have ideas. How you would try to get the AE to import the .mov?

    Thank you very much!

The reason why it was not working so because Windows is not, by default, not the correct codec pack to open files. In order to make it work, I had to download the pack codec DNxHD. works very well now.

I just brought a 700 d canon and began shooting HD movies, but now I want to add some effects in my video for example Twixtor slow motion effect, but I am facing a problem that I can not import. MOV in Adobe AE CS4 file. Please help me. Also if you can tell me any free Converter. MOV to AF file format.

    I use Windows 8 OS.

    Thank you!

CS4 is much older than Windows 8. CS4 is supposed to work on XP or Vista. It runs on Windows 7 was a bit of a problem, so I'm pleasantly surprised to hear that you have CS4 running on Windows 8 in all.

It is also possible that a new camera records in a codec that does not include such an old version of AE.

Make sure that you use the last update of your version of AE. You are on version 9, so make sure that you have completed the Adobe After Effects CS4 9.0.3 Update (I wouldn't update in the middle of a project, that any change could break AE). I want to reiterate: you are using a version that was published there is an operating system that was much more recently published six. So be careful how you strip rolling. However, if you are not running 9.0.3, you are missing some bug fix updates that might solve your problem.

I would say that upgrading to a newer version of AE.

That being said, as Dave mentions, CS4 and earlier had a lot of trouble with the MPEG-4 and other codecs that uses interframe compression. You can open the files in your version of first? If so, you can use the first or Adobe Media Encoder to convert into a good intermediate codec. MOV is just a container format. QuickTime with the PNG codec will work in After Effects CS4 with no problems, just like the other codecs that Dave mentions.

  • How to import a MOV file to my first Adobe Elements 7?

I shot some pictures with my camera T3i. I now only images on my desktop (I have a windows pc 7). But when I try to import this sequence which is a MOV file, it says "this file is not supported.

However, I checked on the website of adobe under "Supported in first Elements 7 Adobe File Formats" and show it as an option. So, what gives? I am able to simply watch the video on my PC,

and I am also able to download MTS images on this software. So why not the sequences MOV?

  • Lightroom error importing of large files

I use Lightroom 4.4 on a Mac with OS 10.9.5.

I get everything when trying to import images into Lightroom, for some more great, an error message that they are too big. According to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/lightroom/using/WS42D207D7-B290-4baa-A896-AB71965BF24B.html files 65kx65k pixels should be OK. But there is for example a JPEG with only 16633 x 32650 pixels (113 MB) of the rejected cases (I tried a TIFF version of it, that does not work either).

There is no problem to manage these JPEGs with Photoshop (CS6) or ImageMagick (even with 65280 (= 256 x 255) pixels per side...)  I hope that the limit of 65 k in LR is also < 2 ^ {16} and not 65000).

Is there any solution for this? I would be willing to upgrade to LR5, but according to the specifications that it should work with LR4.

    a JPEG file with only 16633 32650 pixels x

LR 4 and 5 help say, "Lightroom does not support files with dimensions greater than 65 000 pixels per side or greater than 512 million pixels.»

Your file exceeds the final requirement of 512 million pixels.   16633 32650 x = 543,067,450, which is either 543 million pixels, or 518 million pixels, depending on what definition you use.

  • Imported. MOV file is read in the very small edit section?

I have some footage of a camera flip video original that I converted a. Via Wondershare MOV file. I imported images in my first Pro CC and it reads back end/normal size in the preview area, however once in my edition track play almost 1/8 normal size (incredibly narrowed down into a small square).

Why is that happening and how can I solve this problem? The video is 640 x 480 (1.0). I guess I just need to understand how to "resize" or expand my pictures in Premiere Pro or a compatible program outside the first.

I'm completely deficit right now and I'm very stressed on this subject! Thanks for any help.

    Hi katharineroman,

Do you have other clips playing in the HD size sequence? If so, right-click (Ctrl click on Mac) on the element in the timeline panel and choose "Scale with the size of the image."

If all the clips of this size, make a sequence that corresponds to the size of the clamp. right click (control click on Mac) on the clip, and then choose "new sequence of the Clip.

I've been through the forum and seen for .xls files and solutions through the help file which is recommended to use the ExcelImport command, but these do not seem to work for .csv file types.  I am currently using the DataFileLoad command to import the files, which works very well to load the .csv files, but it forces me to go to the.
