• Impossible to get CS4 to work on the new iMac with the Mavericks

  I just bought a new iMac running the Mavericks and used Migration Assistant to migrate my old iMac. (I did twice!) Since then, I am unable to use CS4 on my new iMac. He asked my serial number that I type in but keep get a big red X next to it :-(

  I disabled CS4 from my old iMac, including the removal of the serial number.

  I downloaded and installed Java for OS x

  Solution 1 resulted in nothing (there was no FlexNet folder in my library or anywhere else on my computer)

  Solution proposed 2 download the licenses Adobe, but the LicenseRecovery111.dmg file repair utility was not recognized, so does not open so it's not very useful!

  Solution 3 suggests repair disk permissions - as this is a new download of the Mavericks, I have not tried it yet

  Solution 4 suggests reset the permissions on the folder of FlexNet Publisher licensing service (Solution 1 suggested to delete it in the Library/Preferences folder and yet it is now apparently in the folder/Library/Application Support!)

  Solution 5 suggests reset permissions on the Adobe PCD folder - there isn't one on the new or the old iMac!

  Solution 6 proposes to delete the cache.db - journal in the Adobe PCD folder - see above

  Solution 7 suggest re-formatting the drive in a file system that is not case sensitive! Not really inclined to do

  Solution 8 - reinstall - new iMac doesn't have a DVD drive then how so I do? No doubt it will not solve the problem in Solution 7 anyway?

  Solution 9 - contact Adobe support - I did and spent some time on the chat with them that to say that I don't a not qualify for their help and to go to the forums

  I have searched the forums and tried various suggested corrections but no luck.

  Check the status of the webcam in Device Manager. To do this follow the steps below:

  a. click Start and select run

  b. type devmgmt.msc

  c. research unit and check if no error code or error message is listed.

  Hi, I hope I'm in the right forum! I have a laptop Aspire with Photoshop CS5 extended. The computer's hard drive crashed and so I had to get another hard drive! Obviously as the hard drive crashed, I was unable to disable CS5 extended before the crash. I have it charging on the new hard drive and in the meantime bought a desktop computer in which I loaded CS5. Updates have been working fine on the laptop. I tried to update the program on the new computer, but continue to receive error messages. I have read in any problems and think maybe computer laptop harddrive that crashed had CS5 yet on it, as I was unable to turn it off because I didn't know he was going to crash. I am only able to load CS5 on 2 computers and if it is still on the destroyed hard drive so I'm not able to turn it off and so I presume that is why I can not download the updates on my new computer.   I just bought a new computer game.  The keyboard and mouse work in BIOS.  But when win7 brings me to the first screen for all upward (which requires language and country options) both the keyboard and the mouse both stop working and their lights go out.  The mouse is a Razer Death Adder, who i saw possibly requiring drivers to be installed.  However, the keyboard is a 4000 ergonomic Microsoft natural and I expect that it works.  Can someone please help me get their work.  Any help is appreciated.

  I bought the teacher edition and student of CS5 for Mac in November 2010. I bought a new Mac and put the software on my new computer. InDesign, Illustrator, bridge, and Acrobat will open it (and good work to the best of my knowledge). However, Photoshop gives me an error message and does not open:

  

  I have no idea how to solve this problem.

  In the near future, I want to upgrade CS5 to CS6. But for now, I wish I could use Photoshop I have. I looked in my Plans and products on my Adobe account and the product is. But it's not a download to re-download it. And honestly, I don't remember if I was a physical download or digital download when I initially put the software on my original Mac.

  Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this?

  PS - also, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash Catalyst, and Flash are all in my Applications folder. But I think they're just there because I did a try before you buy CS5 Adobe. Would this be the case? When I try to open applications, a box will appear asking for a serial number or an option to start using these applications on an experimental basis. I tried to put my purchase of CS5 serial number just in case it was accurate, and he says that's not a correct serial number. And my research indicates that these applications are not part of the standard package CS5. Are they only in my Applications folder because I used them once on a trial period?

  I used Mail for years but have barely entered iCloud Web site after you have configured the new ending by e-mail address: iCloud.com.

  I have actually 3 addresses of e-mail on the go in Mail:

  -New address iCloud (that I can send and receive mail, but I can't find any info account for it after it is created).

  -Old address hotmail.co.uk (which I use daily).

  -For my Apple ID I use outlook.com. This e-mail address appears in my account, but I use it for mail. The confusing is that my new address iCloud does not appear like this outlook.com you do.

  I have been using my hotmail address to send/receive messages, but I want to get rid of it and use my new address to iCloud.

  I click on the following: Preferences > account information > Alias > This shows my address hotmail.co.uk (not the new iCloud email address), and clicking on modify the Alias takes me to account, then + and - an email address, then I add the new address to iCloud and then it freezes!  When my wife does it to see how it should work, by clicking on edit aliases, it is automatically taken on its iCloud site where she can change all his own.

  When you open the address book and look at one of the contacts info is the e-mail address in the e-mail address field? If this isn't the case, you must obtain the right to import or cross and change them all manually.
