Get her out via hdmi

I use an Envy15 on Windows 7 Pro.  When I connect my laptop to watch a DVD through HDMI, I get video on my TV, but the sound is produced by the speakers of the laptop instead of my sound bar.  I looked in the Beats Audio Control Panel to adjust a setting but couldn't fid nothing relevant there. Any ideas?

Hello

Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open display devices - note equipment listed here i.e. ATI, Nvidia or Intel.

Then connect your laptop via HDMI to your TV.  Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, and select playback devices.  Once (just to emphasize the entrance), the HDMI output which has the same name as your graphics card, and then click the set as default, see if you now audio left click.

Kind regards

  • MacBook Pro & Samsung Smart TV: could not get the display via HDMI

    Hi Forum members,

I'm not able to get the display of macbook to smart tv via HDMI cable.  Here are some of the conclusions that I have. Can someone please shed some light on this weird question.

MacBook Pro Rentina 13 "El Capitan 10.11.5.

    Samsung Smart TV 48 "UA48J6200

    Crush - HDMI cable.

    -TV says 'No Signal'.

-J' checked the cable is good since I'm able to get my Dell Latitude processors E7450 and controller display.

-Go to Preferences > display. I see no possibility to detect the display etc...

-Able to connect same macbook to the sony smart tv at my friend using the same cable and it's all good.

At this point, I am not able to understand where is the problem... TV or Macbook

    Thank you.

Hmm. Have you tried to get your friend or someone connect to your Samsung Smart TV?  It does seem like your Macbook or the cable are the issue.

Edit: actually re read your post. I think that to see the option detect go to Preferences > poster under view press on and hold down the option key. bottom right, it should appear.

  • U3014; problems to get maximum performance via HDMI

I just got my U3014 delivered, but I meet a lot of problems run.

My first test was with my MSI GT780DXR system windows 7 64 (nVidia GeForce GTX 570 M). The laptop only has VGA and HDMI 1.4, but HDMI should be able to 2560 x 1600 @ 32 bit. But the nNvidia guard device driver complain that the U3014 cannot do. The highest I could get is 1920 x 1080. After a configuration custom in the nVidia settings, I run it on 2560 x 1600 @ 16 bit / 60 Hz. But on a large 16-bit screen doesn't sound like a lot (to say the least).

So I plugged on my desktop also W7 64 bit (nVidia GeForce GTX 560) and she went immediately to 2560 x 1600 @ 32 bit (60 Hz). So I know this works (in is superb).

A third trial involve a laptop HP with Ubuntu and a DisplayPort. It takes too only 1920 x 1080.

I'm starting to suspect that HDMI 1.4 set in place in the U3014 is not able to 2560 x 1600 @ 32 bit / 60 Hz as the HDMI should be.

I used a standard HDMI cable. Then I entered the Nvidia tool and created a custom resolution (because the monitor does not list what he can do on HDMI). Not all parameters of work, but that does not work is:
    -2560 x 1600, 60 Hz, 16-bit
    -2560 x 1600, 32 bit, 24 Hz
    -2560 x 1600, 32 bit, 36 Hz MacBook Pro retina

I do not see a flick @24 Hz so I leave that for the moment. According to the 1.3 specification, it should be able to do little 24 or 30 to 60 Hz and 1.4 even more. But I can't configure that. I need that pick up with Nvidia.

  • Satellite P200 1EE - this can produce to 1080 p via HDMI?

    Hello

My first post on this forum.

I recently bought this laptop and plugged into my LCD TV at home. However, I can't seem to get 1080 p via HDMI 1080i (my TV is able to accept 1080 p via HDMI). Anyone know if this is possible? (I've updated the latest Toshiba display drivers).

Also watching movies, I notice a lot of grain/noise on the screen of the laptop. Is this normal or is it a defect? I was watching transformers HD DVD last night and could see lots of noise, not only during dark scenes, but generally throughout the film.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Shak.

    Hi Shak.

It is useful that you have insured your LCD TV supports 1080 p. This resolution you must check in your graphic card driver catalyst a required option. Open the control center and find the dvi settings and uncheck the option "reduce frequenzy dvi on the screens to high-resolution. 1080 p should work now.

The grainy/noisy thing with HD-DVD of Transformers. I don't think that it is a defect or something like that. Just put in another movie and see if the image quality is better or not. Quality differs from a movie to a movie.

Check it out and give me a quick answer if it worked.

    Kind regards
    Joey

  • Cannot get DTS/multi channel audio via HDMI

    Hello
I'm trying to connect my VAIO SVT15112CXS to my Bravia HDTV via HDMI to get multi-channel audio (DTS/DD) from my Bravia HT (connected to the TV via optical) with no luck at all.

I have the same setup for PS3 works well, is it cable or equipment.

I have already updated all the drivers.

When the TV is not connected I don't get an Audio HDMI option in the playback devices (I checked to show disconnected devices / disabled) and when it is connected I do not get an option to change the configuration of stereo speaker.

This way I get only Stereo sound.

I tried passthough HDMI via ffdshow config (installed K-Lite codec pack) and there is no sound in this way.

Is there a solution? something escapes me?

    Thanks to all in advance,

Thanks for your time and your response.

I got it actually work! updated drivers audio and video (not Sony ones sugested, but later of Intel and Realtek) and now I have everything works as it should.

The only minor problem is that Vaio Care now wants me to go back to the previous version of the driver, but I'll just ignore it.

Everyone, try this if you experience this problem.

HP TouchSmart 600-1265qd does not connect to Samsung LED 55 '' TV via HDMI. I have connected the same cable to your laptop and it connects, suggesting that there is a problem with the CV. > Is there a problem with a hdmi cable or with drivers?
Who knows?  :| I think that you will have to test it.

You could try to reinstall the HDMI Control Manager. This driver is required for your HDMI controller.
If the question will always be, I recommend that you test different HDMI cables.

  • Sound is more output via HDMI

    Hello

I have a desktop HP m9300t with Vista 64 Bit SP2. It has a video card Nvidia GeForce 9300 256 MB with a HDMI output (and DVI).

I've always been able to play the video and sound through an HDMI cable connected to my TV. A few weeks ago, I ran a few updates and uninstall several programs I do not use or need. I installed the Vista SP2 and updated my nvidia driver for the last available on the nvidia website. Now, I can only video output via HDMI, but no sound.

I have the Realtek HDMI output defined as the default device under sound-> read (and it shows like 'work'). When I test it, I can see the volume up and down bar, but there is no sound on my TV. I also tried many different programs (WMP, Winamp, Media Player classic, Firefox, but still no sound.)

Sound works fine in my computer speakers when I put as device by default.

I tried two different HDMI cables, which I know work because they took out his other devices.

I've updated my audio driver for the last available.

I installed an older video driver without success.

I scoured the internet for hours, but nothing I can find solves my problem.

    Hello

Check the device settings in device that receives the stream of video and audio HDMI.

What camera brand and model has no sound via HDMI?

What is plugged into the SPDIF Jack on the back of your PC, no matter what?

Go to www.realtek.com and download and install the latest audio driver.

Go to www.nvidia.com and download and install the latest video driver.

You could also try to uncheck HDMI and check digtial output and see if that produces sounds.

These "how-to" HP articles can also provide assistance.

Even the latest drivers and updates may cause the problem.  I have run into a problem of sound with Realtek and had to fall back to the original audio driver supplied with the PC to get his job.  Five months later, Realtek audio driver problem fixed.  You need to maybe do this or maybe go back to the last good Windows restore point known. Of course if it does not then you would have to depend on your image less hard drive backup.

It is also possible that your HDMI audio circuits are bad.

  • laptop to tv via HDMI connection

When I cnnect my laptop to my tv via hdmi cable nothing shows... are thereany settngs I need to change or ways about to choose to show on TV? my old office hp on the tv works but can't get my brand new laptop for work.

    Hello @teamkylissa,

Welcome and thank you for using the HP's Support Forums.  So just to be clear.  When you connect your computer to your new HDMI cable laptop to TV, you get no video on the TV screen.   Well, this is something that I totally understand because it happened to me.  There are a few things to check the extent of setting to go and here is a link that you can check to see if it solves the problem.

Connect your PC to your TV via HDMI (and more)

If this is not enough and I hope that he does now.  If you can, please provide me with your information system as much as possible.  Offshore, we can start with your model number and product.  Use this link below to help you find this information.

How can I find my model number or product number?

So, I need the operating system that is running your laptop. Here is a link to help you find that information.

Operating system Windows am I running?

I hope to hear from you.  If the first link did not help with the other information that I asked for, we would be able to get to the bottom of the matter.

    Thank you.

To force leave her, press Cmd + Option + ESC, then select what you want to force them to leave.
Get Tbird out completely, you must use Thunderbird > Thunderbird leave in the menu. The other way is to right click the icon in the dock and choose quit. By clicking the red button in the corner of the window doesn't close the interface.

  • Toshiba 46WL768 - abandonment of the photo while streaming from a PC via HDMI

I believe I have exactly the same problem for a year on my 46WL768 when running from a computer via HDMI.
The problem seems to be related to the level of the input signal that happens much more often a source of the computer, but seems to be the same problem you describe clear or too dark.

I tried all versions of firmware that I can find.
I tried, as far as I know, all combinations of each including triggering turnng the options in each mode of TV (something still on in-House who controls this however, no matter what you do).
I tried several computers and several graphics cards very expensive.
I even sent listed you for repair where a number of parts, including the motherboard have been replaced (as a precaution because they could not find the same question, yet I can reproduce instantly).

You can make it less annoying by opting for one of the default views Hollywood, but you can't, in my experience, get rid of it. Your only two options seem to be flashing constantly with a very high level of responses for actions on the screen, or it is less often stumble but have an image on the screen "lag". If you look at the Movies TV/no-act, the second option is not too bad but there not acceptable for computer use which is what I use it for.

The problem, as I understand it, is once the bright/dark ratio of the image displayed on the screen will over/under a certain level of relaxation, the screen flashes on an another secondary display mode and the white you see is this switch.

Maybe you should try to disable some additional features like local sponsorpark, clean scan, view auto or erase the image.
AutoView mode automatically adjusts the picture settings based on the ambient light conditions and input signal.

Also recommend that you use the PC mode in case the laptop is connected. PC mode is available in mode of RGB/PC Input / input HDMI

  • 750se envy: envy of the brand new office no signal to the monitor via HDMI

Just got my new 750se envy and 25 x 25 backlit monitor. After putting it all together, I connect the monitor of the Tower via HDMI. Tower boots, display lights, I pop in setting up the drive, but the monitor says that it cannot find a signal. I test my old monitor to the new Tower (a monitor of series pavilion aged 7 years). Same results. The Tower seems to be the treatment given that you can hear what it read the disc.

I take another hdmi cable and and test exactly as described above. New monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal. Old monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal.

Just to be sure, I plug my new monitor to my old HP Pavilion desktop computer. Tower lights up as usual, and the new monitor immediately comes to life with color. I can safwly guess it's the tower. I open the side panel and check all jacks to make sure they are warm and fully attached. Nothing seems to be loose or out of place.

I start to sting online for answers. I met this reset of the BIOS. Press F10 to 8 seconds, down, 3 times arrow, enter twice and restart. Nothing. Still no signal. Can I assume there is something wrong with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 and windows the cause? Maybe turn hdmi ports are messy? It was the only other subjects I really found on the issue. Everything seems to work, just no signal between the monitor and Tower.

Since it is a relatively new machine, instead of hurt for hours to fix yourself, why not just let HP repair at our expense!

You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.
