GigE Directshow or bus ethernet type Max camera

I have the Imaging Source DMK 23G 445 GigE camera.

MAX I could see it as Directshow camera camera ethernet either in 2 versions.

It works without any problem as Directshow camera but as soon as I use it as a camera Ethernet, that problems appear I could not put high package size, the highest I have together is 1484bytes. Extended frames are enabled and put only 7K.

If I try to use the packet size like that I have an image similar to that attached, just the size of the bands depends on the size of the packets.

If I try to use it as Directshow camera there are different problems in my software. I'm analyzing the particles, by default the camera is monochrome, and it's good for the analysis of the image it must be monochrome.

This camera is monochrome in reality, but Directshow it shows like BGRA packed 8.

So, I couldn't run image analysis I need to convert it to mono color.

Is it possible to do?

In the past, we used the color camera in a monochrome mode (max value) without too much problem.

Unfortunately, I use Labview 8.6.1 so maybe it's one of the reasons that my current installation it is not working properly.

Hi Sergey,

It is recommended that you create a new location of the image with the correct format, see the image below for the base image-image on.

Please let us know if that helps.

  • How can I get a list of all IEEE 1394 defined in MAX cameras?

I can use the DAQmx_System:Global_Channels property node to get all global DAQ channels defined in MAX, but is it possible to do something similar to get all the names of camera?  I am after all especially the IEEE-1394 cameras, but would be happy with a list of all the cameras to begin with.  Is there a property node that I'm over looking?

    Hi, Christopfer,

You can use IMAQdx list Cameras.vi for a list of all the cameras. (of course, here I assumed that IMAQdx used to connect to the IEEE-1394 camera).

Another way is utility CameraValidator.exe with key/enum - this will also list the available cameras.

  • Error 'the database of the Max came out abnormally' in 2010

The 2010 version installed and ran the MAX 4.7, it gave me this error. It worked fine when I used version 2009 & MAX 4.6. Does anyone have the same problem? I start the Configuration Manager of NOR, but it still doesn't work. I re-install DAQmx 9.2, however, it still does not - always gives me the same error. Can anyone help?

I have corrected the problem. I downloaded the exe of the MAX database corruption to clear the database. After this, I restarted the computer, it worked. I'm running a few VI to the test and it seems to work very well.

  • MAX cannot find two usb cameras at the same time

    Hello

I want to use two cameras usb (Thorlabs DCC 1545 M) in NOR-IMAQdx in Labview, but it cannot find a single camera (the one plugged earlier), and also a single camera is shown in MAX. Both cameras working in the manufacturer's software, and if I unplug the 1 unit, the 2nd will be displayed in MAX after a refresh.

I found that one camera is supported for each USB hub in Labview, and all USB ports in this computer correspond to a same hub online. I don't know if this is causing the problem.

In fact, I need to take the picture in both cameras at the same time, a switch programmed between the two cameras will work for me.

Any suggestion and comment will be appreciated.

    Hello Hosni,

According to this link, you can acquire from multiple USB cameras simultaneously.  The limitation is on the manufacturer and how they interface with the bus of DirectShow.  When you use two cameras of the same make and model, it sometimes happens that not enough information is not IMAQdx to distinguish between the two cameras.  When you switch to MAX cameras, they come as different cameras, or they appear actually virtually the same?

Since you said switching between them might work, I found an example that does just that.  Just make sure you give a name to each camera single camera.  I hope this will be useful for you.

Thank you much for multiple responses.

The AVT UniCam Version 1.1.3.0 allies and Allied SampleViewer Version 1.24 buy images correctly. This is why I can't imagine that a firewall might be interfering. Also affecting the packet size to 1500 Max only has not solved the problem. Any other ideas?

    Hi Benjamin,

If you use a software firewall, there are actually quite a few reasons that a piece of software can acquire, but the other may not. Software can set different layers to the network stack and the behavior can be very different. In my view, both software places AVT can reach are either user-mode (in which case the firewall software can easily be configured based by application to let traffic through) or as a network filter driver based on the core (which lies below the firewall, so it is not affected by the latter). If IMAQdx, two locations, it can attach to the network stack are either in kernel mode talk to the TCP/IP stack (above the firewall) or as a driver miniport directly above the hardware and below the firewall (if you have an NI GigE Vision card or one that is compatible with the Driver OR High Performance).

New versions of the GigE Vision standard has a new feature that make the Protocol more 'user-friendly' firewalls. Our next version of IMAQdx (which I think should be on the web every day now) has support for this new feature. We tested the new AVT cameras and it is supported as well. This should be the firewall issues such less problems.

  • Let fall speed when starting to save the AVI with camera basler GigE

    Hi all

I use 2 cameras GigE of Ace basler at 60 frames per second to capture of animal locomotion. I randomly experience this kind of problem. When I start to save in a start/stop button and save videos in the HDD sometimes lower at 20-14 fps frame rate and a framework to skip 2 or 3. After that, the pace has become stable at 60 frames per second.

Here are the parameters and specifications of the overall program:

-J' use a loop of producer/consumer (I've ever known a fill of the queue even when the rate of drop occur)

-J' fixed bandwidth of the card Intel GigE from 100 to 500 for each camera

    -sent packet size = 8000

    -firewall disabled

-execution of vi in higher mode

I observed that the dropping of the pace occur when the vi run for a while without interaction with the operator (the operator configure other settings in another computer, so the vi only acquire the video without saving)

    I have attached the vi

    Thank you for your help

    Alex

    Hi Eric and Isaac

Finally, the problem was similar to that indicated by Peter Westwood in his post 'lost GigE frames/buffers '. I discovered that the problem occur with the version of labview 2012. Indeed, I tried with the 2011 version and I have it all fall. So, I'm doing the same thing that Peter is "I changed the program, so that keeps an account number of buffer (incrementing the number of buffer on each bucket) and specifies the number of buffer to the VI Grab." "It works well, even on the occasions when the loop of the acquisition is sometimes momentarily delayed for up to a second or more, i suspect, Windows to write the contents of the disk the disk buffer, or do some other household.

So even if the fps drop the program acquire the right frame and in the video I do not see any image ignored

  • How to connect an IP camera to cRIO-9025?

    Hello

I have a cRIO 9025 with two ethernet ports. I want to connect an IP camera for the cRIO to capture images at regular intervals. I followed the procedure mentioned in this post: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/10867, MAX, but still cannot detect the camera. I downloaded the drivers mentioned in the above page. Could someone please suggest a solution?

    Thank you.

    Hi Pranjal,

Acquisition of images on a cRIO is very limited right now. The only supported RIO acquisition is of IP cameras by Basler and axis. These cameras use the IMAQdx pilot. Take a look at this linkand look under the section Fast Ethernet (IP) for more precision. Since you are using a Panasonic camera, the driver doesn't know how to recognize.

In addition, with the right type of camera, IMAQdx drivers must be installed on the host computer and the cRIO to properly set up the acquisition of images. Take a look here for details on the appropriate measures to implement. I would like to know if I can help with anything else.

  • Windows xp automatic camera detection

    Hey,.
I have an Olympus Stylus Tough-3000 digital camera and Windows XP Professional. It works on my Windows 7 computer, but when I plug it to my XP computer, all I hear is the sound, and then get a box that says 'choose what program to use with your device.' There is not in the list, so I downloaded Picasa 3, but it won't work. And when I go to scanners and cameras then plug my camera, my camera icon appears briefly and then disappears. Help, please!

Maybe something in the following collection of suggestions (already posted
in the MS newsgroups) will shed light.

Before that you connect your device to your computer, make sure that you have enough
battery power or better yet use your AC connector if your camera came with
one. Then check the manual of your camera.  With most cameras, you put simply
on and set to take pictures with others, you need to put in
something like connect to the PC or define the PTP. After the connection, power of the camera
and wait about 15 to 20 seconds for XP to recognize the camera, you will hear
some his "Ding Dong" and the LCD screen of your camera will change (the
change is dependent on the type of camera you have) and you are now ready to
transfer, even if the AutoPlay window does not open automatically.  If you
do not hear a sound or the LCD screen of your camera does not change, the
the USB connection is not correct. Go to the bottom of these
directions to repair the USB connection.

    After hearing the sound:

    1. open my computer, look under devices with removable storage. Your camera
(or card reader) appears as an external drive (probably listed
below of your CD-ROM drive). Right-click on your camera listed as an external
drive. A menu opens, click on AutoPlay listed in the opening menu. This
should open the AutoPlay window to download your photos the same way as when
the AutoPlay window opens automatically when you connect your camera.

    Or

    2. open my computer, look under devices with removable storage. Your camera
appears as an external drive (probably listed below your CD
by car). Double-click it to open it.
You will see a folder, double-click it to open it, and then another folder, double
click it to open it and you will see the list of photo files. Select all
the files and copy them to a folder on your hard drive. To select all files, press and hold the
Hold CTRL key and press the letter A. Or, click on edit on your top bar and
then click Select all in the opening menu. When the files are selected, their
the names are highlighted in blue.   You can then see the menu on the left
file names and click on copy, then select the folder you want or
    Create a new folder.

If you want to repair the automatic AutoPlay window you can try the

    drive AutoPlay.

Go I-V steps, although V step may not be necessary.

    I. connect your camera (or a card reader) to your computer and make sure that you
have pictures on your memory card. Make sure that your batteries are equal to or greater
again, use your power adapter if your camera came with a. If you try
just connect with a card reader, with an inserted memory card and
photos on the memory card. Turn on the device, wait 10 to 15 seconds for XP
to recognize, you should hear a sound and the LCD screen of your camera
will change, change is dependent on the type of camera you have.

Click on my computer and look under the device with removable storage. Your

camera appears, probably under your CD player and a player
letter will be assigned to it (something like the H, G, etc.). You will use this
The drive letter in a step below, so just note it on what the drive letter is.
If you don't see your camera listed there, you'll need to fix your USB
connection (see below for repair), or you are on a network and the network
Player is Z and XP cannot assign a drive letter to your camera. You will need
take care of that first. The following steps will not work if XP cannot be attributed
a drive letter for your camera. In some cases, your camera may be listed
but no drive letter. Try the drive letter after the CD or DVD drive
    registered at the camera.

II. Click Start, click Run, and type the following command in the text box:
    REGSVR32 SHIMGVW. DLL
    and press enter
Note that there is a space between... 32 and SHI...
This will take a few seconds to run.

III. download the file autofix.exe site below.  At this Microsoft
site, you have the possibility to download the autofix.exe file in one of your
folder (or create a new folder, and then save the file it), then open the folder
Double-click the file, and then follow the instructions on the screen. Or,
Let Microsoft scan your computer for repair. You will need your
drive letter of camera during this step.  After that, restart your computer.

IV. after reboot, power on, wait 10 to 15 seconds for XP
recognize it, you should hear a beep and the AutoPlay window
should now open giving you the opportunity to download pictures from the camera.

    V. you may need to set the options in this window.
Click on my computer, your camera must be registered the peripheral with slot
Removable storage. Right-click on it and click Properties. When opening
window, click the AutoPlay tab, under Select, highlight the pictures to
Select it. Select the warn me...  Do the same thing for a CD player.

Another solution posted by Bill, using a Nikon camera.

I installed the camera through the Control Panel Add Hardware feature. He went
point of requiring a file called ptspusd.dll from the service pack, a. I have
found the file via search on my hard drive. Type the path in the window
who asked for her and she had. Solved the problem. See Configure your menu on
the camera to see your USB setting is PTP

    To repair your USB connection:

Go to control panel > performance and maintenance > system > hardware > device
Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controller, click the plus sign + to see the list
arrangements in place. If your device is connected, it must be registered with
with a yellow flag (the yellow flag indicates that although the connection)
is there, it does not correctly).

Make a right click on it > properties > troubleshooting. See if the convenience store can
Help. If this is not the case, click Action in the top bar, and then click Uninstall. Let your
camera on and connected and reboot. XP should now recognize the camera and
install it (I assume here that your camera is fully compatible with XP
and according to your manual, you don't need to install a driver, that
must be true for the cameras of 2001 and more).

Also, make sure the software you use for photo editing. When you open the
software, click file in the upper bar. Consult the opening menu. You
probably have an option to download photos from a camera or a scanner or
    card reader.

Something else could be the problem (this is a more recent, June 2004,

    problem) as shown here:

All of a sudden there are not a lot of posts here on the camera wizard
work. Same thing for me after work for at least a year. An of the
messages mentioned the upgrade to Real Player seems to cause the problem. I have
recently updated that also. Just uninstall my camera assistant and it came
immediate return - this after weeks of trying to figure out what went wrong!
    --
    Brigit

(Note: some have reported that uninstalling Real Player 10 works fine,)
others have reported that they had to use the autofix.exe after removing
Real Player 10. Real Player is aware of the problem and working on a fix).
Apparently, he had no problem with Real Player 9.

    Another possible solution.

Click Start, click Run, and type the following command in the open text box:

    cmd

    Press the Enter key

A window opens (black and white) and displays the following text:

  • Using the query - amount weekly, daily, max & time

    Hi guys,.

I came looking for help with this query, I should use to create a new table. At first I just thought I needed to store the weekly amount and some other information, but then told me that I need the sum for the week and the hourly figure higher this week with time. I managed to make all columns except rush hour causing me issues.

The DESC table is as follows: http://i38.tinypic.com/8yt0.png

My query result has need of the following:
Db_name (direct copy of the table)
TYPE (direct copy of the table)
YEAR (cropped from TD_HR - first 4 characters)
WEEK (cropped from TD_HR and then converted to the IW format)
    TOTAL (weekly column TOTAL amount)
HOURLY_PEAK (the largest AMOUNT for a given time during a week)
PEAK_TIME (time of the highest sum for the week)

I have everything show except PEAK_TIME. Sample data:
    DB_NAME     TD_HR             TOTAL   TYPE
    CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 16     35     CON
    CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 15     4     CON

group by db_name, year, week, type)
group by db_name, year, week, type
The final column data are given in the 2nd query here as:
    CONCAT (INITCAP (TO_CHAR (TO_DATE (rpad (td_hr, 10), "yyyy-mm-dd"), "dy")), substr(td_hr,11)) |': 0 0' peak_time

  • NOR-MAX noncontinuable exception

    Hi all

See the attached screen shot. When I try to change the NOT-Max camera file, I get this "noncontinuable exception." The file in question worked last week, and in fact NEITHER-MAX won't let me change any camera file that should work with this camera.  The camera is an evaluation from a supplier of the probe card and the file .icd I'm moving them here - it is currently working with my file .icd updated the. For me, it's the strangest part: the equipment works, everything is speaking to each other, I just can't change the camera files.

I tried to run OR-MAX as administrator, thinking business HE might have eliminated a change of permissions. When I run as administrator and select the new camera file, NOR MAX just goes down, no pop-up window and the file still does not change.

I'll try to save a file in Camera File Generator. I'll post more information, if I learned something.

    Thank you!

Installation LV2015 has indeed fixed the problem OR MAX. If a part of my previous installation has been corrupted. When I tried to repair the installation earlier today, I had not the installation media going TO practice (or I could have deleted the download like a fool), so I jumped this repair. Now it seems that the problem lies in him GOING somewhere.

    See you soon!

  • IMAQdx Open Camera.vi very slow

    Hi all

    I use a firewire IEEE1394, a camera with IMAQdx with labview 2009.

    1. I have configured MAX camera and tested. It works very well.

2 - I used the "Grab and attributes Setup.vi" Labview examples. With the vi, it takes about 1 second to find the camera and it works fine.

3 - I copied the Camera.vi of the IMAQdx 'open' this example in my own software. When I run it takes about 20 to 30 seconds to open the camera. He finds it, but it is extremely slow.

    4. to test, I opened at the same time the 'IMAQdx open Camera.vi' 'Grab and Setup.vi attributes' and my request, set the name of the camera on the two clones and run one after the other: I still see the same behavior: the first (from step 2) takes 1 second to open the camera, while the other (from step 3) takes 30 seconds to open without sending an error message.

I came to the conclusion that there must be a link somewhere to a file of configuration or something that makes the fastest start-up in one case than in the other.

Has anyone experienced something similar? / Did someone has an idea on how to solve this problem?

  • Camera USB IMAQdx low resolution-'for internet use"Option?

    Hello

I have a USB camera compatible directshow. The resolution of the camera should be close to 2600 x 2000 (not sure on exact). When I see 'Available video Modes', the highest resolution is 352 x 288 resolution.

The company that provides the camera told me to uncheck "for internet use" in the property of the Group of experts to help solve the problem of resolution.

I don't see that option anywhere. I looked into the property node IMAQdx as well as for any "attribute of the internet."

Any ideas on where this option is or how I can fix this low resolution?

    Thank you

    Tony

The option 'Use Internet' apparently does not exist in LabVIEW (the less c. 2010).

For the directshow driver, the seller of the camera (Motic) created a new registry file that I imported into the registry and cela solved the problem of resolution.

  • Camera AXIS

I'm trying to acess IP Axis 207MW network camera and I can't seem to understand how to communicate with the camera. I know it's possible because I saw a high school using this type of camera for FIRST Robotics. LabVIEW provided the files to do, I don't have these vi. Right now I use linux command called wget to get the picture from the IP address. However, it is very slow and delayed. Can someone explain to me how to better communicate with my camera? Thank you.

The attached VI is to record the stream for 5 seconds. In Windows XP, it works for me...
