Gobi 2000 wwan undetected

tried to install the gobi desert in 2000 on the Tablet, I get the message wwan undetected, where can I find the drivers for it

Steven

It probably won't work. WWAN module is qualified for the TPT are Gobi3000, F5521gw Ericsson and Huawei EM600. I assumed that, like the ThinkPad standard, all the other modules are rejected at the level of "BIOS", so even that if you find Android drivers for other cards, you wouldn't be able to get the card working.

In addition, it is not as easy as Windows to install drivers for the new hardware.

    Hello

I have problems with BIOS versions newer than the 1. 10A of output.

As soon as I apply the two new versions 1.11 (6XET32WW) and 1.13 (6XET34WW), the device WWAN that Gobi 2000 is not listed in the Device Manager and a connection using this device is not possible more.

The most recent logins indicates that the device is not found.

Apply default configuration settings after the update of the BIOS is not the problem.

Internet research shows that many people are struggling with this problem.

As soon as I roll back to the 1. 10A (6XET31WW), version of the BIOS, the problem no longer exists.

    System details:

    * Thinkpad model: 2876 - 27G

    * brand new thinkpad/thinkvantage packages installed

    * currently available updates windows update installed

    * BIOS work: 1 10A (6XET31WW)

  • E120 Lenovo Edge - cannot detect the WAN of GOBI 2000 map

Hi, I hope someone could help.  I bought an E120 that my country does not see the X120e

I bought a card WWAN of GOBI 2000 dealer of Lenovo.  The card passes through the white list very well although it is not mentioned as one of the taken WWAN devices supported.

I tried to install the 7xwc48ww.exe (drivers X120e and Edge 11 WAN) to see if it would work.  The GOBI loader installs, but the driver does not load, sense - in device - PORTS - Gobi charger Manager

-In device - network adapters - No. Gobi WAN Card Manager

I also tried the solution-http://curiouslynerdy.com/2009/05/qualcomm-gobi-wwan-card-on-windows-7/ , but still no joy.

According to me, the X 120 and E120 are very similar, so I guess the Gobi WAN should be able to work.

    Can anyone suggest an alternative?

    Thank you very much!

The E120 Edge is like the X121e GOBI 3000 or F5521gw will work. I tried a GOBI 2000 in my E120 with the same result as you.

I wonder if the ThinkPad GOBI 2000 Broadband Option (78Y1399) contains the GPS, and if not, what is the module for the W510 which contains the GPS hardware. Thank you!

    Hello mate,

The Gobi 2000 have a GPS. You just need to have a sim card inserted for use.

  • Questions of the Gobi 2000 3 G module

    2 questions about available for X201T w/GPS Gobi 2000 3 G module:

Is it mounted inside the computer, or is it an expansion card in an ExpressCard location?

Also, when I select Gobi 2000 in the Configurator on the Lenovo UK site, it appears a non optional item "Open SIM Card: WW. So I wonder, which means "WW"?

    Hi Axure!

Yes, the Gobi 2000 is inside the X201T. You can find it in the Manual of Maintenance of equipment.

' Open the SIM card: WW ' means that there is no SIM card of each included country/carrier (WW = WorldWide).

    I hope this helps!

  • ThinkPad Edge with card WWan Gobi-2000 (no sim card installed)

When I put a SIM card in the card holder. The software Lenovo says "no SIM installed".

It's a card SIM KPN (dutch). If I look on the internet I can only find information on this controller to work with Vodafone cards. What is my problem?

Is that what all do I have to change my settings, or whatever it is? When I use the SIM card in another USB WWan device it asks to enter a PIN. When it's the lenovo, it says that "no sim card installed."

I hope someone can help out me.

    Thnx for the support.

OK I found the solution on my own!

It works fine now. After a while of search x_x

It was just the sim PIN code. There was a pincode 0000 on the chip stock. I had to remove the PIN that using my cell phone.

Now, I can finally use my Wwan card!

  • X 201 software of connection Gobi 2000 T410 Win XP

    Hello.

    Hello

Sorry for not posting sooner back with the results.

I tried a lot of different solutions, but ended up using the dial-up connections version 5.62. It turned out to be the least bad solution.

When it is installed with keyboard shortcut functionality, I was able to run 'TpFnF5.exe /alloff '. This passage has provided me with the features I was looking for.

    Thanks The_Solutor for your input.

  • Implementation of Gobi on X201t

    Hello

I just bought a refurbished X201t with a Gobi 2000 WWAN installed. How do I configure this?  I guess I have to install a SIM card but I can't find all the information on how to do it.

    Thank you

    Simon.

If your X 201 is WWAN ready that there should be a slot for the SIM card behind the battery. Also, there should be a slot for the WWAN card, which I think should be under the keyboard, but not 100% sure for the X 201. If the computer is ready, there should be two wires for the slot for the card WWAN antenna. Then you must download and install the driver and it's essentially. The Thinkpads generally got a white list in the BIOS for this kind of card, so if you buy a Gobi 2000 WWAN card Lenovo should work fine, but buy it also might give you an error that says: "Unauthorised material" during the post. I don't know if this is the case here, but if you install the card I guess you will discover

If you have some problems with the following steps please explain what part where you have a few questions like finding the slot for SIM card, install the card, install the drivers and so on.

  • dm3-1105ea WWAN ready or not?

Hi, I have a dm3-1105ea with SIM card (on drums). I know this model not including wwan card, this feature is opcional and each DM3 model, including the SIM card.

I have now, I want to buy a modul WWAN gobi 2000 (it is good add-on?), but the problem is, I don't see the antenna cables. I know that the antenna is inside the screen lcd, but I'm not sure that this is true, because I do not see the antenna cables. This model is WWAN ready or not? When ready, where the cables? Otherwise, and I buy a WWAN card, I need thing an antenna, but I can't fix the antenna on the lcd screen.

What type of solution is, if I want to use the WWAN card?

    Concerning

    So, it's not about WWAN!

But you can change the material. I bought a un2420 Gobi 2000 card and drove a WWAN antenna. After that I downloaded the service manual and the laptop dissambled. After that, I have fixed the WWAN antenna and leads into the cover. Put in the card and the connecteg leads from the antenna. After, I downloaded the Gobi WWAN driver from HP support. Install the driver. Open the HP Wireless Asistans and turn on the WWAN connection. And work!   We are lucky, because the SIM card is attached to the motherboard.  And as GPS working as well!   All price: 38 pounds (WWAN card antenna + on eBay).

    Kind regards!

  • Edge 13 - extensible module WWAN?

Is it possible to buy a mini PCI-express WWAN module for this model? For example http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ericsson-f3507-3g-module-for-ibm-thinkpad-dell-67188? The model is not which are listed there, but I was wondering if it could be supported.

If not, is there a list of the modules supported? Maybe the desert of Gobi 3000? Or just the desert of Gobi 2000 supported?

I can now confirm that this works on my Thinkpad Edge 13 ". Yes!

  • X201i WWAN issue

Hello, I bought and installed an approved Thinkpad WWAN module (think it's a Gobi 2000), but I had to remove a mini Intel low-profile pcie card to the WWAN card in. I know that have no wireless card in Device Manager.

The obvious answer is that I took the wifi card - can someone please confirm that X 201 doesn't have wifi on board chips? I hope that the pcie mini is an upgrade of a certain type (wireless n?), and I can get the onbaord wifi workign if there is place.

Googled a bit but no luck so far.

    Thank you!

PS The laptop is a X201i model number 3323 1ZG

OOPS, I just realized (looking at 86 of the hardware maintenance manual part) there are TWO pci-e slots :*) mini

I should be good now! Thank you!

  • evolution X200t WWAN options

    Hi all

I have an x 200 tablet which is "extensible" for his WWAN option. I want to use the machine internationally with a variety of groups and am interested in Qualcomm GOBI solutions. My questions:

    (1) is the default map of 1000 GOBI (57Y4485 here), my only option? The new maps of GOBI 2000, being much richer in features and compatibility (such as 78Y1399, here) are supposed to work with x100e / x * 10 series, but features the same connectors. Can someone check to see that it actually works/doesn't? It's the BIOS the most recent map of locking out on x 200, x200t, T400, other latest generation Thinkpads?

    (2) the question of whether I get the desert of GOBI 1000 or 2000, I was able to use WWAN with suppliers other than Verizon / AT & T? The maps, although it is near - universally compatible with standard GOBI desert, are locked to these two providers? It will be very useful if I can make sure that the function can actually be used when abroad.

    Thank you very much!

For the X 200 tablet, map of 1000 GOBI is the quialified.

Map of GOBI is not locked in and of itself to a provider.  By default, it will connect to Verizon.  By adding a SIM card, you can connect to that provider by choosing the international connection.  In terms of suppliers non - SIM as Sprint, I have not any advice.

  • X100e with WWAN in Australia, how to put in place?

I just got a bicoeur with WWAN Gobi chip x100e.

When I run the Thinkvantage tools - 3G mobile broadband, he asks me to activate Verizon. (I have already inserted the SIM in the slot)

The problem is that there is no such thing as Verizon in Australia. My carrier is Optus, and I bought a SIM BYO (bring your own) which means it comes with a SIM card, that's it, no drive, no software, no nothing.

How to connect to Optus then? I know that the AFN and other parameters. Only, there is no software in the x100e run to connect.

I am really impressed by the information / software provided in the x100e as I am with his material.

I of course will ring support phone but now it's midnight and I hope that someone above Lenovo can give some advice.

Hi midnight BobbyLe and welcome to the Lenovo user community!
