good native resolution with screen Samsung on T61 & Quadro NVS 140 m

I can't configure my external monitor at its native resolution of 1680 x 1050. When I do it, it cuts one side or the other with black bands.

I am on a Thinkpad T61 with 1440 x 900.

The Samsung 2253bw may show 1440 very well. But 1680 x 1050 native res.

NVIDIA said that the Quadro nvs 140 m can display 1680 x 1050.

I tried just using the Nvidia Control Panel and the Thinkpad presentation Director. If I change the resolution from the Vista Control Panel, I actually get a crisper (no scaling) display but at a small size with a black band around.

Any suggestions?
Thank you...

  • Native resolution of the screen disappeared

I returned to my office this morning to find that my screen resolution had spontaneously changed to 1024 x 768. My monitor's native resolution is 1920 x 1080. I tried to restart the computer, but nothing has changed. Then when I went to change the resolution to 1920 x 1080 option disappeared from the menu. It's as if the computer knows all of a sudden what monitor it's connected to. The computer is a gateway running Windows 8 that I bought new in January of this year. I tried the convenience store and the only answer he gave was "material changes may not have been detected. It has not changed hardware to the computer since I bought it. The software change that recent was an automatic update of Windows I downloaded two or three days ago, and my virus detection software is not picked up anything lately. The video driver software is updated according to the computer's Device Manager. This isn't the first problem I've had with this computer by a long shot, but usually problems are solved by reboot or install updates to Windows. This is the first time that I had a problem with it that could not easily be repaired and this is the first time I've ever known a settings option any simply disappear into a menu. I have the planned resolution at 1440 x 900 now which is usable but not optimal. Any suggestions?

I just think that getting a new screen could be how the faster and less "dangerous" to solve the problem.

By chance someone else with the same problem yesterday apparently resolved with a new cable...

First make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.  This usually means that get them directly from the site of the manufacturer; not Windows.

Try passing your parameters res 1920px at 1680px back and the screen "scale to fit".

My graphics card software provides a panel of independent settings to achieve this.

  • Screen Samsung Syncmaster not right

I just bought a new HP Pavilion with Windows 8.1.  He has a card NVIDIA GeForce GT 705.  I use two comes a HannsG HZ281 and a Samsung Syncmaster T260HD.  I can not get the correct display on the Syncmaster.  The HannsG is good at 1920 x 1200 (native), but the Syncmaster is disabled using native 1920 x 1080.  I can't find a way to make the right Syncmaster look.  The same two monitors were on my previous machine, and everything worked as it should.  Does anyone have a suggestion as to why the Hazel Syncmaster is now?  The HannsG is a DVI connection and the Syncmaster is a HDMI connection, exactly as it was on the computer Windows 7 HP.

It is an update of my display problem.  Installation of a DVI - D splitter, such as recommended by HP technician has not solved my problem.  I could get the monitor2 HannsG 2 running at a resolution of 1920 x 1200, but I could not extend the desktop all the monitors.  It is not useful to have two monitors showing exactly the same thing.

I decided to buy another graphics card identical to one I use at the office, running the same screens HannsG 1920 x 1200.  It works very well using a DVI - D and HDMI port, both running at 1920 x 1200 (native resolution) monitors, and the appearance on screen of text is greater than what I have now.  I found one on Ebay at a reasonable price and bought it.

Given that I have to wait a week or two to get the card, and I had time to burn right now, I decided to do some more experiments with my current graphics card and monitors.  Long story short, I found a solution to get two monitors to run 1920 x 1200 with the extended desktop.  I tried many things and finally found (by trial and error) that if I plugged a HannsG until port DVI - D on the map and the second HannsG HDMI port, but with a HDMI adapter to DVI - D, then connected the adapter to the DVI - D on the second monitor port and manually set the second monitor DVI input (using the monitor built in adjustments via its Menu) , I was able to sove my display problems.  VOILA!  Note: the key to the second monitor (using the card's HDMI port) was to disable the function of automatic selection of entry of the monitor and lock it at the entrance, DVI using the selections menu the monitor's built-in (and this was a whole other bag of worms).

The screen appearance is now satisfactory, but not as good as my desktop machine.   I can always swap the NVIDIA GeForce 705 in my computer now with the AMD ATI Radeon 7570, I bought on Ebay.  In any case, I learned at a suitable location with my monitors.

I hope that HP will take note of what I have done and add it to their litany of canned solutions, that they pass on to their novice technicians.

  • Native resolution 1680 x 1050 not available on Slider

I use Vista Basic 32 bit
    Westinghouse lcm-22w3 monitor
    NVIDIA GeForce 8400gs
I put my computer to sleep and when he "woke up" my screen resolution was changed to 1280 x 1050. When I tried to return the native resolution of the monitor in customization of Windows and Nvidia Control Panel, 1680 x 1050 did not show a cursor.
NVIDIA control panel shows my monitor like an al1714 Acer model, which obviously isn't the case.
I tried everything I can think of.  Update to the latest drivers Nvidia, uninstall the card and the drivers in and out of safe mode and even a complete reformat, with no result.
I managed to create a resolution in Nvidia Control Panel for 1680 x 1050, but the screen is still blurry and somewhat distorted.  Also when I tried to launch World of Warcraft, I received a message returns to say that he did not have any supported graphics card.  I used this system without any problems for almost a year, and I don't know what the problem is.

    Hello

If your were unable to solve it by a complete reformat and reinstall with fresh video drivers, then the card is probably not in some way and must be replaced. Good luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Crazy" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Windows help - www.rickrogers.org

  • UI on Macbook Pro 2015 trolling in the native resolutions

I have a really strange problem with my Macbook Pro 15 beginning 13 "retina. The user interface is a little laggy when I put any native resolution, that the system provides. For example, when I opened this page: http://www.apple.com/iphone-6s/ , animations are visibly restless. But as soon as I put the resolution to a value of system supported (2048 x 1280 for example) some not all works well and that it should. Another weird thing - if I move a browser window of my laptop to an external monitor Full HD screen everything works well on this screen. But as soon as I drag this return, he is again choppy. GAL of the entire system, not only in the browser. Any of you encountered this problem? I tried everything I found on the internet, but nothing helped. It has the graphics card Intel Iris 6100, processor Intel i5 2.7 GHz and 8 GB of ram. He does this since I bought it.

    Hello romantu,

Thank you for asking your question here in Apple Support communities. I understand that you are experiencing some lag with the entire computer. I am pleased to offer you things to try to isolate or fix it for you.

As always, we want to ensure the data on your Mac is safe. You will need to use Time Machine to backup to an external hard drive. The recommendation is to use an external hard drive twice the size of your hard drive internal. Use this article to help make a backup: use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.

Once you have a backup, you will want to check if the system latency occurs in safe mode and a test user. Safe mode will tell you if the problem is related to a startup item or plugins, and a test user will let you know if the problem is related to your account, or at the system level. It will be difficult in safe mode, because safe mode runs a little slower. It may look like he is also experiencing lag while is not. Test and try to see if the video is the same as it did before. Check if the problem goes away on the monitor full HD in safe mode. See this article for help to find out how to enter safe mode: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up. There is a section called "If a problem does not occur in safe mode" you can work through the if the problem does not have the same or at all while you are starting up in safe mode.

If you get through the safe mode article and still questions or if the problem also happens when starting in safe mode, you will want to check if the problem occurs to a test user. This article will help you do it. How to test a question in another account on your Mac user. There is a section called "If a problem occurs in account only one user" that leads to this article help: Mac OS x: how to solve a problem of software. You want to go through this article, if the problem occurs only in your main administrator user and not the test user.

If the problem occurs in safe mode and test user, you'll want to reinstall OS X. Use this help article: How to reinstall OS X. See the section titled "If you reinstalled for other reasons.

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.

  • Equium A100-147 - Native resolution on the external LCD display does not work

    Hello

My Equium A100-147 has 1 VGA and 1 S-Video output, so I use the VGA output on an external LCD monitor with a native resolution of 1680x1050@60hz, but integrated graphics Intel 945 card doesn t give me the correct resolution to choose for this monitor, the closest is 1600 x 1200 and some weird widescreen resolutions other that make my monitor see the scaling an ugly picture.

So I tested another external monitor with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 resolution closest gave me Intel drivers is 1920 x 1080, even the installation of two drivers of monitors, remove and reinstall the driver and same formatting the machine and reinstall everything from scratch gave no different results.

I have another laptop MSI Wind with the same graphic card built in and the same version of the pilot, and the laptop detects both the monitor and the good resolutions for them, this isn't a problem of Monitor driver.

Seems to me that is a problem with the S-video output, which makes this mess, but there is no way to disable it in the BIOS or any other place in Device Manager I still seem.

Can someone give me some advice for what can do?
    Thank you!

    Hello

You cannot choose the preferred resolution because the graphics chip does not support this external resolution or the installed graphics driver is not contained in this resolution. The two cases are possible.

If you want to know if your graphic chip supports this resolution and then take a look at the user manual and check it.

If the chip of the graphics card would support this resolution and you will not be able to choose, then that would mean that the graphics driver does not support this resolution.

But first he must find out what external resolutions are supported by the GPU.

  • Why do you have Vista 32 bit my native resolution of 1680 x 1050, but 64-bit Vista is not?

I was already running 32 bit Vista Home Basic and I've now changed to 64-bit Home Premium and for some reason that I have more my 1680 x 1050 Native resolution monitors in the list of available resolutions.

    The closest available resolutions are 1600 x 900 and 1600 x 1024.

Obviously it's not a lot of good because anything other than of the native looks horrible!

I have the option in the NVidia Control Panel to create custom resolutions, which do not seem to work in windows is.  I added 1680 x 1050 and set it as my resolution.  Now the problem I have is that the games aren't my resolution custom in their choice of resolutions in the graphics options, so I can't play in 1680 x 1050 the closest choice is the resolutions that I mentioned earlier, which means that the quality of the image in the games is horrible!

I do not understand why I now have a problem when 32-bit Vista everything was fine, it's the same graphics driver as before only the 64-bit version.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    No problem.

However, this problem is solved now fortunately.  I did some research on Google more and came across this article about Windows 7 users with simillar problems with drivers of the generic Non - PNP monitor and lack of resolutions:

    http://www.TomsHardware.com/Forum/652-63-window-monitor-1680x1050-1920x1080-resolution-here

The advice it worked a treat, I downloaded PowerStrip (http://downloads.guru3d.com/PowerStrip-3.75-download-169.html#download ),

I uninstalled all drivers GPU rebooted my computer, and then use Powerstrip I created my own .inf driver using the correct resolution of 1680 x 1050 Max, registered the and that installed my driver of monitors.

Reinstalled my drivers, GPU, rebooted and it instantly recognized my Native 1680 x 1050 and set it to one at the start.  And when I run all the games, the resolution is in the list!

    I am so happy.

  • U2713HM, max resolution with a laptop without DVI and DisplayPort?

This is the type of response to a previous post with the same title.  However, the interface of the forum does not seem to allow a response on older posts, even if they remained unanswered and have customers.  Ho-hum. In any case, I discovered that I can drive the U2713HM using a simple HDMI cable to your laptop using the interface of view nVidia Control Panel (page 'Change resolution') property and setting a custom resolution to match the full 2560 x 1440. The trick is to use the Customize button and create a 'custom resolution' for the progressive 32 bits 2560 x 1440, use 'Automatic' and then drop the (Hz) refresh rate up to about 38 to 41 Hz. To find one that works and then keep trying new in 1 Hz increments until it fails. I'm at the wheel of a laptop Toshiba Qosmio, using its output using a refresh of 41 Hz. frequency something higher and display will not 'lock-in' to its native resolution HDMI (available only) the screen (normally connected by Dual link DVI to a desktop machine). So allow me to use the input on the screen switch to switch between my desktop PC and laptop. Works a treat!

Just thought I would add that:

This may be possible with a workaround to other problems of option cable - for example, poor quality or cables of big length - where the main problem is one of the supported by the cable or the type of interface bandwidth.  By lowering the refresh rate, you are lowering the bandwidth requirement.  For old CRT screens, it usually resulted in a significant - not so remarkable gradation with LCD/LED technology!  And don't forget that the eye can integrate cini-film at rates as low as 25 Hz!  Affecting the refresh rate of 30 to 48 Hz on a LCD/LED modern is now a viable solution for the problems of bandwidth of cable. Note, however, that all the problems can be addressed by here: for example, I got a cable from DVI single-link for which no stable frequency could be found (the monitor really need Dual - Link DVI - one with a full set of pines).

  • Native resolution of the projector

I create a video that I show tomorrow. I looked up the projector and see its native resolution is 1024 X 768 and with Premiere elements 12, I have like a save option, suggestions for a complete beginner?

    Bill Ruidoso

I do not work with projectors, but, from what I've read, I think I introduced relevant discussion points for you to consider. You can take a look at the video in the link where the presenter shows a result using 16:9 video with 4:3 type of Protector you have.

    http://www.projectorpeople.com/resources/aspect-ratios.asp

The link is presented for information and not promotional purposes.

    When you wrote

I shot the video with a Nikon D800, HD 1080i 29.97 Fps editing mode, the picture size is 1920 X 1080. When I save the project to use as reading on this computer it displays the size of the image in 720 X 480.

is it possible that your export settings were not accurate? You may have missed an opportunity to customize the settings to export up to 1920 x 1080 and was caught up in a framework of SD? If the projector was not involved in your result that I quoted, it may just be a question to adjust the parameters of export rather that a major problem with the scale done by this projector when 1920 x 1080 16:9 video was involved.

Are you sure about 1080i? Could we have 1080 p. What I read of your Nikon D800, it seems that it uses just progressive frame rates.

    If you have a 1080 p, a choice of good export would Publish + share/computer/AVCHD/with Presets = MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080 p 30 or publish + share/computer/AVCHD/with Presets = Vimeo HD.

We will be watching for further developments.

  • Portege Z30 - A - 18 M - cannot set the native resolution on the external display

    Hello

I tried to connect two different displays full HD to my Portege Z30 - A - 18 M and I was unable to set the native resolution - maximum resolution I can put for those is 1680 x 1050... I was not so surprised by the first that I had a few problems with a native resolution when I connect to the laptop computer Satellite I had before. But then the same thing happened when I tried the other view.

I thought that this notebook can handle a higher resolution external... Is there a way to force the native resolution of the external display in Windows 7?
    Thank you!

Just a question: have you plugged your Portege with HDMI cable and use only the HDMI option?
With other words went from the desktop to the external display only computer?

I don't have this machine, but I think you should be able to see the desktop on an external device to the HD full 1920 x 1080 resolution.
