  On my laptop, the touch-pad works fine until I log in to my user account (admin). As soon as I do this, the touchpad stops at this work and the only way I can move the cursor with a plug in mouse. If I connect to this particular account, the touch-pad starts working again. I can connect to a different user account and the touch-pad still works. It's only one account that is affected.   As you mentioned, that the problem is specific to a user account, this can happen if the user profile is damaged. To solve the problem, I would ask to create a new user profile and then copy the data from the old damaged to the new profile.

  Your user profile is a collection of settings that make the computer look and work the way you want. It contains your settings for wallpapers, screensavers, wallpapers, pointer preferences, settings of the sound and other features. User profiles ensure that your personal preferences are used whenever you log on to Windows.

  To create a new user profile, you must first create a new user account. When the account is created, a profile is also created.

  Also, try to update your motherboard chipset drivers as well. Simply because only the video drivers support Sli, it must be supported with the chipset drivers too. If you look at the site of Nvidia and the forums, you will see that Nvidia has not yet perfected SLi games on windows7. I had the same problem as you, I have Nvidia 9800GT SC in SLI, and I work installed Doom3. Fortunately, a fix came a set BIOS to update my motherboard (750 a SLi XFX) manufacturer.   I don't think that anyone here can recommend an action plan to address your laptop after a spill of liquid. Milo can be sticky and may have formed a layer under the keyboard or if liquid has been spilled into the motherboard, it's a matter of time that the other components start to fail.

  It's strange.  You have another mouse and recently pass to it?  Or have you had it for awhile and the mouse has started to act like that?

  I could certainly go to the Web from Logitech site and see if there are any updated drivers for your mouse.  Also, make sure that you don't have another mouse plugged in at the same time playing these games.  I guess you do not, but sometimes a game will remember your previous settings of the mouse, and when you go play, he thinks that the mouse is always there.  So, you will need to uninstall and reinstall your games.  However, I would do that as a last resort.  If your mouse is new, you may contact support of Logitech to see if they know work around or solution.

  I am doing a problem with o or arrow key when you play on my Windows 7 PC. When I press W or upward arrow key work it only a few seconds and if stop, then I must release and press that key again it works for only a few seconds and stops. The two keys normally works in other applications.

  I couldn't find an update for Windows 7 for your computer, which means that Dell has not all drivers for this OS on your computer XPS 420. However, there is a driver that is specific to Vista 64-bit, download here: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/xps-420?driverId=4JDG5&osCode=WV64&fileId=2731098634&languageCode=EN&categoryId=AU .

  Another option to consider is to update your video driver to the latest version, download here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-win7-winvista-64bit-320.18-whql-driver.html (it was released on 23 May). I suggest as an alternative as video drivers often include audio drivers as well.

  Those are the two pilots who appear to be more likely to adapt to your system, and if one or the other does not work you can restore the driver using the dialog of properties as follows:

  1. Go to control panel and click Device Manager.
  2. When that opens, click sound, video and game controllers.
  3. Select the audio driver / video, you have downloaded and installed.
  4. Right-click on the device and select Properties.
  5. When this window opens, go to the tab (on the top row) driver.
  6. Click the Driver Rollback button and left-click on it.
  7. Let Windows reinstall the older driver.
  8. Restart your computer.

  If all goes well, one of these fixes will take care of the problem. Keep me posted.
