GSM numbers in the TMS directory

Hello

I have AD facility as a source of the telephone directory in TMS for video settings. I'm having a problem where the GSM numbers for users on endpoints TP are appearing as H320 and so the calls fail. I have a VCS/TMS connected to CUCM and want to route mobile calls to CUCM and then get out. Is this possible.

Thank you!

Then I was watching your definitions of zone again.

  • TMS needs to know that the endpoint can make H.323/SIP
  • The permissions for the system in the browser from should not be the call blocking options (settings down to change the planning parameters)
  • The endpoint must be associated with a zone of intellectual property with a defined gateway prefix
  • The area of intellectual property must be associated with a correctly configured ISDN zone
  • Route of the directories = yes

If all this is in place, TMS will be able to deliver to an end point unique h323 call entered ISDN or telephone through the gateway prefixes defined in the area.

If the entries are not displayed, TMS does not believe he can do a call from the bridge... the lack of supported protocols or failure of registration status.

You can test this by creating a simple dummy directory with just the vocal entries in it.  Then associate this directory to your endpoint.  If it's an MXP, you can use the web interface of the endpoint to display the directory of the business directory provided by TMS.

If you can not make it work again, I'd recommend appellant TAC where they can walk through your configuration with you.

    Thanks for the update - the question is usually a proxy or a firewall - your endpoints need to have direct access to port 80 on the box of TMS on the subnet, they are on.

  • TMS directory failed in the endpoints of series C after the migration of the device to the virtual computer

    Hi all

    We have migrated the 12.8 TMS from the device to the TMS 13.0 on the VM platform. There is no matching TMSPE and mainly used for management and directory service.

    Once the migration is complete on the platform of the VM, we found that endpoint C-series could not receive phonebook of TMS (while 95 MXP endpoints works very well with the TMS directory).

    The end point of series C, we check the Configuration-> directory server 1: URL. The link is converted from http:// /tms/public/external/phonebook/phonebookservice.asmx http:// tms/public/external/phonebook/phonebookservice.asmx.

    (In addition, we check the authorization of the two phone book page, and there is no IIS issue).

    In the 95 MXP endpoint, it can receive the telephone directory unit VM MSD and MSD.

    Best regards

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

    As confirmed by the curl command - you don't have access to the web page as an anonymous user.  You have to fix your permissions.  One of the fastest ways to do would be to try to reinstall the MSDS on the server again - this should reconfigure the IIS settings required for TMS.

  • TMS is not up-to-date endpoint items in the selected directory.

    Hello, I have a problem with sending of the telephone book for the endpoints, we have a C20 included in one of the directories directory we created and whenver we include it for the phone of Boo, overall on a part of Sytem, the C20 still does not show the contacts in the phone book, I tried to apply the settings in administrative tools > Configuration > network settings > Services MSDS , but still does not show the phone book... How could know what is actually going on in trying to apply the telephone directory or setting in the system?

    Kind regards.

    Hi Mario

    When endpoints look for directories, it is a direct search so there are a few steps that you can do to verify that the configuration of the phone book works as it should.

    First of all the directory addresses configured on the endpoint. From the same location network endpoint is trying to access the directory from a regular browser link. If you see the "Directory Service" you know that MSD is open for requests.

    If you don't see the directory service that you need to know if this is related to this particular endpoint. If this happens to all the endpoints, it is likely that the Public folder on the IIS server does not have anonymous access enabled with a valid user / domain user. Group policies can disable the service standard accounts so check it.

    TMS also has a different function where it filter the entries in the phone book. Basically, it checks if the endpoint that is looking up in the telephone directory is routable. If this is not the case, the entry does not appear. If you want it to appear without worrying, you can change the setting under general settings "Directory of road entries" to "No" and see if that solves your problem.

    So if the address of the telephone directory is correct and the IIS does not block the application and him endpoint is not filtered then check if the unit were actually a contact method. Endpoints without and address will not be displayed in the phone book.

    A last resort would be to a wireshark capture looking towards the top of the phone book and mentioned a case of tac for analysis.

  • Numbering plan of TMS actions required when changing the VCS

    Hi all

    I will be changing my exclusively H323 to SIP client only VCS dial plan. This will be done to activate the route through VCS - E and also prepare for the migration of their VC on CUCM endpoints at a later date. When I change the dial plan I'll change the end point URIs, aka Multiway and digital beaches assigned to scheduled meetings.

    Can you please help me understand what I need to do to make sure that:

    1. MSD directories are updated with new endpoint aliases; and
    2. Existing meetings are moved to the new number ranges

    Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Telephone directories TMS should update automatically as long as they do not use a source directory manually.  You should see the telephone directory changes some time after you migrate the H323 to SIP endpoints points, depending on how often you have telephone directories to update.

    A regular conference will have to be updated to reflect the change dial plan, you can simply change the Protocol that uses H323 to SIP endpoint in the settings to connect to the Conference.

  • Design of the telephone directory of TMS

    SALVATION of Netpro

    I have a VCS - C AND TMS located within a DMZ. The VCS-E is on the public internet.

    All internal clients are saved on the SCV - C and pull the telephone directories of TMS - OK.

    I would like to publish directories TMS to devices that are registered with the VCS-E

    Our compnay is a global organization and we have external companies with the internet only C20 end points which are registered in our E-VCS.

    My goal is this - I would like to have a global directory that all systems have access to via registration VCS /TMS

    Is the only way to achieve this goal to create two TMS servers who ask the same PB? A single server TMS on the DMZ with a NAT translation on a public address and a TMS server inside the network to all WAN / LAN clients?

    Or y at - it another way to reach my goal?

    Thank you

    Stem

    Well, the directory is transferred using http, which means that endpoint must join the tms on http or https in order to get it. An alternative would be to open port 80 or 443 so that MSDS are available on the public internet, which is what you eventually to do. If you use a double tms pointing to the same database where a single server is public you anyway compromising server tms to the public internet from the info you get would be the same no matter which tms server you connect to because of the shared db. The c20s must be added in tms as well (but not accessible by the MSDS if it is a system of soho) in order to obtain the authorization to access the directories that you set on the system. But there is no need to be very complex, as long as the endpoints can reach the tms of the internet server.

  • TMS Directory link ISDN paired devices

    Hello world

    I currently have a problem trying to get a directory TMS containing details of ISDN on a SX20 with an ISDN connection.

    I created a manual list directory in TMS that contains details whether H323 or ISDN for various parameters.  The directory is detected by the SX20 and it shows all the details of H323, but none of the ISDN are listed.  The same directory, when it is applied to an edge 95, displays all the entries.

    I tried to create a directory containing only the ISDN numbers, and assigning that to the SX20 and then nothing is indicated.

    My first impressions are that that TMS has information as an 'ISDN' entry, and as SX20 has similar directory information stored in the form "H320", that the two are not compatible / correcftly - translation and so it's a TMS bug and/or TC software.

    In addition to the telephone directory, all the other functionality works as expected.

    Versions:

    TMS: 14.1.1

    SX20:TC7.0.1

    ISDN link: IL1.1.0

    Edit: I tried to push the same directory for a C60 and who was not either - TC6.3 - only the H323 entered were seen running - ISDN those lacking, is not purely a matter of SX20.

    Hello

    There is no link to the SFT ISDN support. When 'route telephone directories' is set to Yes, TMS removes the entries she wants not the point endpoint to deal, that is what is happening here. TMS knowledge, SX20s cannot dial numbers H320.

  • TMS directory system endpoints source folder

    Hello

    I came across a rather baffling problem with a few cases of TMS and I can't for the life in me know as to why this is happening.

    I get the following.

    in the option for creating source directory Cisco TMS, I create a new directory and link with the MSDS files and select the folder where all the end points, this creates the entries in the phone book for me as I expect with one exception, I will detail below.

    H.323 = [email protected] / * /

    H.323 = [email protected] / * /< this="" is="" where="" the="" issue="">

    IP = IP address

    I find that on some systems (this doesn't happen to all systems) in the second entry of H.323, the H.323 entry where I expect to see the directory (also known as E.164 number) number I see a URI where a field has been added at the end of the number, I'll give you a few examples below.

    DN = 1234

    set field = @video.net

    random field = @newdomain.com

    IP = 10.10.10.1

    I expect to see the following.

    H323 = [email protected] / * /

    H323 = 1234

    IP 10.10.10.1

    but I don't actually see

    H323 = [email protected] / * /

    H323 [email protected] / * /

    IP 10.10.10.1

    I have purged the TMS systems and added, I searched through the xconfig for the NouveauDomaine which is invalid and I can't find anything anywhere other than on the list of areas configured SIP VCS parameters in the second area, endpoints have disabled by default SIP and in both cases I expect to see that under a SIP entry not an H.323 entry

    This is the origin of the problem of when a user tries to call via the Directory site remote also responds to busy VCS is unable to find the appropriate directory number because the location request contains the domain as well as the DN.

    I worked around this by adding a transform to the VCS who sees the patter of specific numbering and the bands of the area, so the calls work, but I still need to understand as to what is causing this behavior.

    If I had to create the directory entries by importing information from the record of the VCS seem to be correct, its only when I try to import the entries of the endpoint via the system folder in TMS (or more exactly to import the information stored in the file on the endpoint system) I see the problem.

    a very popular Adviser.

    See you soon

    Dave

    Hello

    Picked up that the case with David and it seemed that at least on the systems the international denomination on the mxp MXP has been configured. The area of intellectual property also has a configured domain uri that has caused the other symptoms. We where able to erase the questions but still yet to see if the client is actually affected by the same configuration "mistakes".

  • Synch TMS directory phone book Local Codec

    Hi all

    I was wondering, is it possible to synchronize the TMS (server) directory to the Codec (C20, 40, 60) Local Directory?

    I checked on the guides of the admin and also on this forum, but without success.

    Thanks in advance

    See you soon

    Hi, unfortunately, this is not possible with the c series that it does not support the download directories. The MXP in comparison does not support this.

  • Problem with the composition of the corporate directory / phone book (E.164)

    Hello

    I have a little problem with the composition of the cucm phonebook integrated telepresence system. I can search the telephone directory, and it displays the user. The format is E.164 number, but with spaces in the number of empty? And for me, it looks like telepresence system trys to deal WITH areas because if I compose without space market. So it seems it is not the phone book to a good number E.164 number.

    any ideas?

  • TMS directory - contacts AD

    I've recently upgraded to 14.1 and tmspe. During the upgrade, I've migrated my entries inherited TMS in the new solution highlights. The transmission of data contained in 5 groups with the users in each group. When I log in MOVI as legacy user and find the directory entries, everything works as expected.

    The problem I have is this - I created a new group and imported my Active Directory users. I can connect to MOVI as a user of Active Directory however when I try and search for users/end points in MOVI nothing appears.

    I checked for the provisioning directory ticks next to all my other access control entries in the phone book.

    All the world and ideas?

    Thank you

    Stem

    Hi Rod

    The first thing that comes to mind is the configuration information. If you have created a new group you also assigned to this group a provisioning model right? This model is different from other groups? Because other users directories work what is the difference between these users and the users AD?

    Users of AD have the configuration of the directory [email protected] / * /?

  • Search does not work for numbers in the contents of a file

    Windows 7 search doesn't seem to work for partial digital channels.

    I put 123456789 inside a text file.

    Search works only if I find the exact numeric string that is content: 123456789

    If I try to get 34567 (content: 34567) it will not find the file.

    Any ideas?

    [edit: I found a way without using the command prompt.]  See the answer later.]

    Windows 7 Search can only search successfully if the string is entered in the text separately, except that the string can be the beginning of a string that appears in the text.  This behavior is true for the text in general, not just the numbers.  Other than downloading some other utility search (there are many of those who are free), you can use the command prompt, navigate to which you want to search for (if you have not done this before, you'll learn stuff here) and enter:

    Findstr /s /m 34567 * > c:\results.txt

    The/s is to allow the search subdirectories (subfolders).  The / m is to remove the display of all the lines of text containing a match and just show the file names (and subdirectory paths).  The * is to indicate that you want to search all files in the current directory.  You could put *.txt to restrict the search to the text files, for example.  The > c:\results.txt part is to take the results of research and rather than display them on the screen, save them in a text file named results.txt on drive C.

  • EX90 Point endpoint will not receive the TMS directories

    We have an EX90 which is implemented through TMS. Systems can be sent and the EX90 can be configured through TMS. However, the EX90 does not display the directories assigned in the Directory tab. When you view the config directory via the Web of EX90s interface server, all the information seems to be correctly put into service through TMS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Is it maybe a firewall between endpoint and the TMS that stops at the request of endpoint and makes worse them TMS telephone directory?  Or it is set to 'https' when only "http" is available?

    You can do a quick test of connectivity connecting to CLI of the endpont as a 'root' via telnet/ssh and requesting the directory:

    curl /tms/public/external/phonebook/phonebookservice.asmx" rel="nofollow">http:///tms/public/external/phonebook/phonebookservice.asmx

    where is the IP address or the host name of your server TMS.

    You should receive some HTML if you have access, or a timeout / cannot connect error if you do not.

  • The difference between the admin directory and directory patch?

    What is the difference between $< PRODUCT_TOP >/admin/sql and $< PRODUCT_TOP > / 115/patch/sql

    I looked at a number of packages on my system, and they seem to be constructed from its location *.pls in my $< PRODUCT_TOP > / patch/115/directory sql

    However it is normally also have a file with the same name in $< PRODUCT_TOP >/admin/sql, but it generally has a different version number (in my case, I found some files in it that have a version number that is greater than what is in the directory of 115/patch/sql)

    Thank you

    My understanding is that the product admin directory using automatic upgrade as part of an upgrade?

    Fix.

    Q. Since Auto Upgrade is involved, I guess that means say 11i upgrade for R12 (what was once a migration) rather than what would be a Pack of updates to version (which is formerly a Maintenance release) for example 11.5.10.2?

    I would say that it is applicable to all the patches that update APPL_TOP, so it applies to the outermost Regions and the Maintenance Pack patches but not an 11i to R12 as a new APPL_TOP upgrade is created in this case (unless you are referring to the new APPL_TOP).

    Q. the patch product_top directory holds transferred files in to adpatch?

    Yes.

    If he holds only the latest version provided by the various patches that have been applied to this top product?

    Yes.

    Q: why would the product_top directory admin hold files with version numbers higher than that which is in the product_top patch?

    Can you give an example for this?

    Thank you
