H8-1040 video driver crashing, then system restore to properly initialize

I've had some problems with my graphics card driver to crash. After moving, I took the card and clean the dust. The question is somewhat degraded. (As you can imagine, the issue did appear in Mode safe). Nevertheless, I decided to do a system restore. At the end of the recovery of the system, the computer never went to the configuration of the operating system screen. In fact, it just shows a blank screen now when it starts. There is no error beeps and the diagnostic system withdraws. I'm not entirely sure what to do. I tried to start in safe mode, but the computer says it cannot complete the installation in safe mode.

If my card is dead?

(The question seems to be similar to what is experienced here: http://forums.evga.com/GTX-550-ti-issue-black-screen-after-loading-windows-m1303862.aspx)

If this card would be replaced, anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you

Hello

There are several products listed under search for h8-1040 but if your PC is QN562AA product number, then we can proceed on this basis, or you can post your product number.

The 7xx NVIDIA graphics cards will not work on your PC like your PC is the older BIOS version 7.  You must have a BIOS version 8 which is not available for your PC.

NVIDIA 550 in your PC is a good graphics card and to get the same or better you would need to get the 660 of NVIDIA that is designed to work with a 450 Watt power supply.

Current video card is Radeon HD7800. This problem only appears when using Firefox to watch videos on the site of twitch.tv using the new HTML5 player. At the beginning all right, but there is gradual corruption of the firefox window. Text disappears, corrupt graphics and finally the leak of graphics corruption on windows or Aero, office causing a crash video driver and the restoration. This only happens with the jerk HTML5 player. All other sites work fine. The player also works very well in other browsers. IE9 and chrome have been tested. Firefox is the most recent version, and so are the video drivers.

All of a sudden, I have several problems with my computer.  I can't not computer to recognize a flash drive.  Printer works in the same usb port.  I used Device Manager, checked the drivers, made every difficulty that MS has to offer, each difficulty that Dell can offer, but the problem remains.  I don't feel uncomfortable so I don't have to play with the registry.  I uninstalled the drivers and rebooted.  The only changes that I did before this happened was to uninstall and reinstall I-tunes.  The flash drive, I use would be defective?  When I went to the system restore, my restore points have disappeared, that was the point where I uninstalled I-tunes.  I also noticed that when I tried to detect problems with the resolution of the problems of hardware and devices, it says "material changes may not have been detected.  In detail, it also shows "there is no configured windows in a way never install driver - edition".  WHAT?  I know that windows IS configured to automatically install.  (Deep breath)

  • Photoshop CC video driver Crash after AE

    Hello world

I searched on this problem and found a lot of (old) topic, but anyone have a difficulty of right and no one have the same info maybe I have.

So my computer is a ultrabook with just the integrated Intel video card HD4400.

I use Photoshop CC for about a year with no problems.

But yesterday I installed After Effects CS6 and this happened:

If I run Photoshop CC using a file (by clicking on a double DSP or use 'open with-> ps' with any file) my driver video start crashing and Ps turn off graphics acceleration.

    psfucked1.jpg

If I run Photoshop CC by the shortcut (or photoshop.exe) no errors appear and 3D acceleration is available!

    AV enabled.PNG

After a few tries, I realized there were a few GPU Sniffer stucked in the background using almost all of my CPU.

    sniffer.PNG

    going on what?

    Thank you

OK, sorry for the double post, but seems I solved the problem.

    Don't know WHY but

defining the "sniffer.exe" (64-bit) as "run as administrator" the disappearance of the problem!

Before that I tried to rename the two sniffer.exe and sniffer.pdb, but photoshop and windows froze, had to hard reboot the machine.

    Thank you

  • The video driver crash, gpu sniffer hogs cpu on surface pro 2

I use PS CC on my pro 2 Surface - when PS is started I get a system message depending on whether the video driver broke down.

This isn't a problem, CC PS still works.

The problem is the gpu task sniffer, that keeps running and hogging a single processor, engraving by far my battery.

I know that I probably need a new video driver, but there is none available. So, how can I disable the sniffer of gpu for now? It's annoying to have to kill the process after every start of the PS.

    Thank you Sam

This isn't one I thought, but look at this:

Account required to workaround is to disable the sniffer of gpu until the fix is issued.

    1. in the folder Photoshop CC, Ctrl-click on Adobe Photoshop CC.app

    2. choose "Show Package Contents" from the context menu.

    3. open the contents > MacOS folder, search for "sniffer".

    4. keep that file, but to rename it by placing a tilde from sniffer: ~ sniff

    5. close the finder and PS CC should start normally.

  • System Restore will not initialize.

any restore point. The error report suggests updated driver, when I try this, put to update says my driver is the last, and my device mgr tells me that this driver works well.
I also lost many of the icons on my desktop, only white rectangles affected remain and even on my QuickStart.

I really don't want to do a system restore, ideally I want to just install a new file to solve the driver problem.

  • HP 15-af131dx: Radeon settings do not work after having back the video driver

I can't access Radeon settings after I've updated my video driver and then restored to the previous version. When I try to open it, I get this message:

I currently use the 15.201.1101.0 driver version. How can I return Readon settings?

    HPlaptop51

That's exactly why I have driver updates disabled in the Win10 - so it won't 'break' my PC with updates.  I had to disable in Win10, but I also had to disable it in the AMD Edition Crimson tool - because he was also trying to force updates on me.

The version you mentioned is the correct version for your PC and Win10.

So, the first thing I would do is go to this page and download the AMD driver: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-af100-Notebook-PC-series/8543365/model/8961406

Copy this driver on a USB key, so you can add it later.

So, what I would say is that you download and run this tool to permanently delete all traces of the AMD driver: AMD own Uninstall Utility

When this is done, try reinstalling the driver AMD of the file on the USB key.  It should work fine, this time.

Then block the updates of pilot in Win10: how stop Windows 10 to update automatically the device drivers - windows Windows 10-10

I tried to restore my Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop to the factory setting.  I pressed F8 then selected repair and then Dell Factory Image Restore.  Used to format hard drive.  He formatted the hard drive and then he restored the system.  Suddenly, a small window pops up without any details, but saying "error".  I restarted the laptop, it entered into Startup Repair mode.  But even once showed error "operating system version is incompatible with startup repair".  I don't have my windows CD/DVD.  Although the windows sticker is still on the laptop.  Please advise me how to install the system on the laptop so I can use the same.  Please note that I am in Gurgaon (India).

Because the computer is located in a no start situation and you don't have the installation disc, it is best to contact the manufacturer for assistance.

  • X 220 hangs at the end video driver

I installed a 64GB Transcend mSATA and installed Windows 7 64 bit from a DVD (using the DVD player on the base). Windows installs fine, the problem seems to occur when I try to update the video driver. The file seems to cause me trouble is the «Intel HD Graphics Driver (integrated) for Windows 7 (64-bit)» But I try to install, it goes well, then ask to restart. After that, I get the Windows loading icon, but it then goes to the blue screen. Other drivers seem to install OK. Any help would be most welcome.

    Hello

Check to see if the latest firmware is installed in your SSD with Transcend, and then try to install all the available updates for the Lenovo system, except the video driver, and then Microsoft via Windows Update, which can offer a different driver.  Does make a difference?

  • Where am I going to access the the system restore on my Vista "help and support." It has been easy on XP!

Support under XP system quite simply, I went to 'Help and support' clicked on it, and a new screen open and followed the easy prison. Where am I going to access the the system restore on my Vista "help and support."  I just want to go back to a previous restore point.  Thank you!!

    Hello

Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools then system restore should be visible.

Also, a lot of PC brand have a restore option of the system via F8 at startup, and then click "fix." Useful if you cannot start Windows successfully.

Also you can click on start and then just type rstrui.exe and press ENTER.

Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.

  • Computer that crashed; System Restore which threaten to wipe hard drive

    Hi all

Today my laptop crashed. So I disconnected and tried to turn it off completely. He got to "shutting down" but does not move, so I had to leave the exhausted battery. Then I rebooted from recovery, is DVD went in safe mode and try to run the system restore. I now have a message saying:

    Packard Bell Recovery DVD!

    WARNING

ALL THE DATA ON YOUR HARD DRIVE WILL BE ERASED

    [OK]

There is no Cancel button or anything, just an OK button. They can't be serious, can they? (And I've read since that run the system on a disk restore is a bad idea). It seems I have to press OK or let the battery die again, either disconnect the battery. What should I do?

    Anon

First disconnect the battery. Now, to get into the mode safe on the hard drive of your computer.  start to boot and then press F8, and then select Safe mode.  Then you can try restoring the system from there. vader95 Windows 95-7 office 97 - 2010 Ubuntu 9.10 - 10.10

  • Cannot restore the location of the folder 'Video' drive system D

Hello I have a little problem :( I have Windows 8, and I wanted to move some files from my OS drive (C :) on my unused data drive (d). My video library took plenty of room so I tried to move my video system folder by using the tab location in the properties and just selected the D drive. I understand now that should not have been done because all my files are gone and my drive (c :)) has not yet changed size. Now my video folder mimics the D drive, when I look at the properties now he says it's a Local disk. So when I went to the tab location again, and then clicked on "Restore Default" to C:\Users\Eva\Videos, an error appears and says: "unable to generate a list of regular subdirectories in 'D:\System Volume Information. Access is denied. "

Is anyway to fix this issue? And that I lost all files in this folder for ever?

    Hi Evaliu,

If you are able to see the videos folder available and if you get access denied, then I suggest you give permissions for the videos folder, and then check to see if you are able to move the files.
