My 'system restore' will not initialize. How to fix the problem?

"When I choose a restore point, restoration says" initialization ", but it will work for ten minutes, never boot if you don't stop him. When I reboot sytem and click on system restore. It is said to "undo the last restoration. It is never initialized first. I used restore before but never had this problem. What I have done or not done?

Great help, Scott.  You jerk off.

  • System Restore will not initialize.

any restore point. The error report suggests updated driver, when I try this, put to update says my driver is the last, and my device mgr tells me that this driver works well.
I also lost many of the icons on my desktop, only white rectangles affected remain and even on my QuickStart.

I really don't want to do a system restore, ideally I want to just install a new file to solve the driver problem.

  • WIN free!) has failed 3 times and I can not understand how to fix the problem

Free install of WIN 10 offered at least 3 times. It is impossible to install 3 times. I have no cd or dvd, just a long, stretched download - I'm too stupid to follow the advice given by MS

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times and try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Do a clean boot, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both and try the installation again.
    • If you update via Windows Update, when download reaches 100%, disconnect the Internet LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, and proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

    System Restore will not work

    Hi FriendFriend,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    3. you receive an error message when running the system restore?

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to clean boot.

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

OK you have an ETHERNET cable? (cable for PC to the Modem)
    What OS do you have?

Heres to help, you need to an ethernet cable, or adapter wireless XBOX 360.

With the ethernet cable, connect one end on the XBOX and one end to your laptop.
You go to control panel > network and Internet > network and sharing Center > change the adapter settings. Then you select your wireless network and your local network. Then you right click and press 'CONNECTION of BRIDGE' (requires administrator privileges). After that your DONE! Just check if it works on your XBOX 360!

  • System Restore will not restore complete

My computer started running verrrry slowly, so I ran to the restoration of the system. I ran it several times, both in and out of Safe Mode, with different restore points, but the food never ends. I've also run System File Checker, but the system restore does not always end. I have XP pro, and all high priority updates are installed. I would be grateful for any suggestion, but please keep things simple. I'm not savvy in computer science.

    Thank you.

    Ikallicrates

I made a new user who had no Favorites (of course), logged as a user and just copied user Jose Favorites to the new favorites of the user folder and they appear in IE and work very well.  Favorites are just text files.  There is no register of edition.

rpggamergal - is there a reason that does not work?

If your user original is/was really altered, apparently tidy to subsequently remove it and if you change your registry database to point to the folders and files in the "corrupt" user account, they would all stop working.  Changing the registry will work (I think), but it's almost like cheating to me.

If you change the registry, every time you make a new favorite, he will enter the profile that have been corrupted. Does make sense?   If it is really corrupt, I would completely RID.

I don't think you should have made a new user first return to page 1.  This is not the problem with your system restore.

How your system restore works now by the way?  This is your original problem.  Now you introduce new users, copy the profiles, change the registry, etc..  I've never had to do these sorts of things just fix SR.

I think that your hole is to widen my friend...

    Turn to page 8!

  • XP pro have two problems: the system restore will not work and rdpclip seems to work computer

I had a virus, trogan, stopzilla online to fix the problem after allowing access to my computer, (it's a virus) tried to uninstall this program, finally just disabled and removed from the start menu.

Now, in the pc Registry mechanic tool the first thing listed is rdpclip as run from my computer.
Since that time I have been unable to use system restore from windows system.   only restore I access is
from backups of registry mechanic even if I went and set on system restore after that I checked the settings and discovered that they had been handed over to OFF.
I used the restore before so I know it worked before the access help online.

Is the solution just to disable repclip?   I have access to my computer so that I have to allow access by external connection...

XP pro, has had a problem with virus removal program, it turned off because it wouldn't uninstall.  Now when I run Registry mechanic it shows my system being run by rdclip.  I can't use the windows system restore.  Points on the calendar are lit up but do not work.  Can I use mechanic registry to disable the rdclip? in auto start menu?  If so this might restore ability to use the system restore?

  • Two issues here, 1st system restore will not restore, also wireless do not detect all networks

Prob with system restore is everything goes well until the pc restarts, then get the restoration of of message without any changes have been made to your computer, this tent after several different restore points.

The prob with connection Wi - Fi (intel pro 2200 bg) is it doesn't find any networks, pilot verified also that his permit, any help there ain't a pc wizz so any advice appreciated

System Restore is not a panacea.  If this can help depends on what specific changes you want to cancel.

Which leads to the question: what is is happened just before things stopped working?

You do not mention if one of potential errors 13 to restore the system applied to you, or if none did, this error message you got when you tried to use the system restore.

    To do this:

Tried the keys that turn off wifi nothing not even the light that says its /running activated

say that the light associated with your wifi adapter is not turned on or off?  If Yes, I suppose that the light is 'off' now, correct?

Further, I guess that the wifi card is internal and you have a portable computer.  What is the brand and model of your computer?

Open the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK)
Click on the + sign next to "network adapters."
If there is an icon of warning/error next to an entry, double-click the entry and to report to what appears under the "Device status" and "Use of the device" (both on the general tab).

Go to network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
Right-click on the icon for your wireless adapter and select Properties
You will see a screen like this, and if so, is the on your box is checked the--> http://screenshots.modemhelp.net/screenshots/Windows_XP/Network_Connections/Wireless_Network_Connection/Properties/Wireless_Networks/Index.shtml
