  What is the best HDMI switch for use with Apple tv 4. I heard some do not work and the automatic switch has problems because Apple tv is still using power?

  I installed on a cutting and not because the automatic switch works because it isn't always. It came with a remote control that is almost as good, so don't mind the fact that automatic switching does not work well. The reason why I chose cutting is because it was the first device that gave me the good picture and sound quality with my AppleTV, the Xbox 360 and the PS4. (Don't ask!)

  Go to settings > remote controls and devices. You can disable the feature from there.

I plugged my monitor to my PC (HDMI 1) and my XBox 360 (HDMI 2). But trying to "switch" between them is impossible due to the limitations of a switch screen found in the software on my PC. Is there a manual switch to do this, maybe located under the screen where is the power button? I feel there are several buttons down there, but I do not want to rely on one of them for fear of screwing something up. If anyone can help?

I recently bought the satellite L50, tried last week, connected to the matrix HDMI switch but got the following on the TV invalid Format error.   Only I have two HDMI cables to come through the chimney, but need to connect 3 designed, this is the reason for the HDMI switch.

  I bought the XBR55850D today and it does not pick up the signal from the switch.

  Does anyone know what HDMI switch will work with this TV?  Also there are retro-compatible HDCP devices? which means that my TV is HDCP 2.2 but my HDMI switch is 1.4...

  This morning the switch somehow was recognized by my TV, I guess that I need the TV be able to scan and get all that Configuration.  I'm not able to watch my two appletv4 and bluerayDVD player (one at a time, of course) through my switch.

• No audio hdmi

  Nine DV6-6140US suddenly without the HDMI audio. Reinstalled the driver IDT and the AMD graphics card driver. Not good. Default is set to HDMI output, shows the Green inflatable bar but not the audio. Other laptop HDMI audio works fine on this same HDMI connector.

  The problem is resolved.

  Even if I could connect another laptop to the HDMI cable and get audio, he would refuse to get audio from this DV6-6140US.

  The HDMI cable connects a HDMI switch. It was as simple as move away to another entrance and return to it!  Not sure why this is. Has worked with the other laptop, not this one. Either way works fine again. Something with the HDCP?

  I have connected my sony lcd TV (kdl - 40 s 2000) to my hp pavilion s3435uk pc. I get a perfect picture but no sound on the TV.

  I connected via hdmi to hdmi.

  The PC uses the colleague High Definition Audio Manager and Nividia 8400 sound card.

  (already tried updates and make back update)

  I have the audio set on the Realtek hdmi output and checked the formats supported, or 48 kHz (as recommended).

  equipment has been connect in the recommended sequence.

  When there is a cable, it's a two pins on the graphics card, usually along the top, from one to three pins on the BDM, a SPDif header. They are a type of connector molex.

  I am a French Dell user and I am new to this forum. I came here because I have problems with my hdmi (HDMI Out) connection with my computer Alienware M14 (I dunno which version R1 or R2). No source is detected on my screen after plug in the HDMI cable.

  First, I checked my hdmi cable works well with other sources. Then I connected my PC directly to a screen HDMI and no source has been detected on the screen.

  After that, I tried to connect the PC through a HDMI switch (powered by HDMI cables). It seems that my computer does not have enough power to power the power switch (very bad lighting of the diode). I said that the HDMI switch works well.

  If you have any suggestions or solutions, please reply to this message.

  Have you tried to uninstall the video adapter driver and reinstall again?

  So I have this problem with Apple on the ATV4 music. The sound is really muffled and distorted. I changed the output 5.1 auto in settings and it seems to be a slight improvement, but is not the only striking sound is still not clear.   If you hear static or that you hear no sound on your Apple TV

  Get help with surround sound. For all other issues, follow these steps and check the audio after each step:

  1. Unplug both ends of your HDMI cable. Then plug them in.
  2. Turn off your TV and receiver (if you use one). Unplug your Apple TV to power, then reconnect. Re-turn on your receiver and your TV.
  3. Connect your Apple TV directly on your TV instead of use a receiver or HDMI switch, as the issue might be with your receiver or switch.
  4. On your Apple TV, choose settings > Audio and video.
  5. Make sure that the Audio output is on Apple TV.
  6. Change the Audio Auto Mode to 16 bits.
  7. On Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), change the Dolby Digital Out on OFF setting.

  If there is no sound when navigate you in the menu, select settings > Audio & video and ensure that the sound effects and music is on.

• HP Envy Phoenix 860-010: How can I use a third monitor HP Envy Phoenix 860-010

  I was happily running two monitors since I got this computer in April 2016, a monitor connected to the HDMI port and the other to the NVIDIA GTX 960 card DVI port.  This card supports four maximum monitors.  It has 1 DVI, 1 HDMI and 3 DisplayPort connections.

  Note on the model 860-010, you can't use both ports HDMI vertical marked HDMI 1 and HDMI 2.  They are not active in this model.  They only work with the smaller models that use the integrated graphics card.  This model has the dedicated graphics card, then only the ports on the card are active.  (That does not match the Support of HP and I confirmed by experience).

  Now, I need to connect a third monitor that has VGA and DVI ports.  My only option is to connect it to one of the DisplayPort ports on the map with an adapter.  I contacted the support NVIDIA and they told me that is a * active * or * passive adapter works with this card.

  So I bought a DVI DisplayPort passive adapter cable / and connected the third monitor to one of the DisplayPorts.

  When I start, the start screen appears on my screen of third but it signals an error specified, says it cannot start Windows, and proposes to recover my system back to a restore point, which I of course refuses.  I tried various advanced troubleshooting options, two different ports, DisplayPort and two different DVI monitors with the same results each time.  When I disconnect the third screen, the computer is back to normal and starts very well.

  My third monitor is obviously able to display stuff through this link because the splash screen and the different screens of the error and recovery see here, and I can use my mouse to interact with these screens.

  The screen message error file C:\windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt newspaper references.  This file reports the following error:

  I tried to look this error online and got no useful success.

  Someone knows how to do a third DVI (or HDMI) to monitor work on this model?

  Confirmed that my problem was a bad DisplayPort passive adapter DVI cable.

  I got the third monitor working by getting a Plugable Active adapter DisplayPort to HDMI for $19.95 and one of my existing monitors to use its DVI port to HDMI switching use.  Then I connected the third monitor, which has DVI and VGA connections on my computer with a DVI cable.

  Now, all three monitors are working fine.

  If you're talking about AppleTV 4 then there a single HDMI output only.

  You need either a HDMI switch or a divisor of direct HDMI to different amps (may not work at the same time due to HDCP) or see if an amp offers HDMI or optical output to the other depending on whether or not you want to distribute audio or video to the 2 amp.

  If you need a splitter/switch, it's an extra box and you might consider only 2 AppleTV, don't forget a rental on one will not be seen on the other.

  After looking into this for you, the most common way to have audio play among two different devices is to use a virtual audio device called Mix stereo. I found a YouTube video where someone shows how he installed the stereo mix on Windows 8 Preview of consumer. Unfortunately, read the comments below several users report that the referenced driver does not work for the operating system Windows 8 to address fully released.
  
  I'm not sure another way to have an audio reading of the two different devices on Windows 8.

  I bought my Apple TV Gen 4 a few weeks ago and there is something I don't understand.

  It might be a nice feature, ATV turns the TV off automatically placing him on standby... but Apple thinks to, only users ATV maybe still a few other devices connected to their TVs? Maybe I'm too old fashioned, if I have not my Sky scrap / Sam receiver or my old Playstation 3, while having this little black box connected to my TV now, but I'm the only one?

  This feature works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't (so my TV turns on and says that there is no signal, what I want it to do).

  But there is still one thing, what bothers me more than above mentioned:

  Whenever I have disable my TV (after I watch satellite or using my PS3 TV), ATV wakes in sleep mode! So, I have to turn the ATV "blind" buttons in the right order every night.

  My TV is a LG LED 2011 (European version), and I don't have any problems with other devices, such as those mentioned above and the Amazon fire TV-Stick. The ATV is directly connected via HDMI to the TV (no HDMI switch or such).

  Someone else has the same problem or is anyone know how to solve?

  Looks like you need to disable the HDMI-CEC. Many users have no other connected devices, and therefore, the option is useful for them. Others who have not they have the ability to disable additional devices...
