Hi all
My Toshiba Vista laptop hangs at the screen "Please wait" when restarting. I tried the clean boot and reduced to protection services of Symantec Endponit (event and the settings manager and Client Management). I went to the website of symantec and installed the latest version, but the problem persists. Any suggestions?
Also sometimes after you start clean it will normally start with running symantec services and then go back to the gel next time I stop but I haven't worked why/when this happens.
Thank you
Frizzaldo
Hi Frizzaldo,
I'm glad to hear that you were able to find the guilty program causing the problem.
I suggest that you completely remove the computer using the Norton removal tool, and then install the latest version of Norton, check if it works.
Norton removal tool

If you are still experiencing problems with Norton, then you will need to contact Norton support to see if there are known problems and no fix available.

Note: you can also use Microsoft security essentials, but before that, check with Symantec for any fix available
I hope this helps!

hangs on the screen "Please wait" when starting
I have windows 7, and sometimes during startup, it hangs at the screen "Please wait", just before you get to the screen loggin. the occasional flourish - almost every time now. If it is not "hang up" it will show the screen 'Please wait' for a second or two, but if it does not crash, it is hung: I mean, I waited as much as 20 minutes or more to see if it's something treatment or make configuration changes. is there a change in the configuration file, I could do?

Does anyone know why my iMac G5 osx10.5.8 suddenly developed continuous small networks of lines on the screen please?
I tried to provide screenshots - insert an image does not accept.
Just happened while the iMac was asleep.
Thanks in advance
Tony
The image seems to reflect the possibility of problems of graphics processor.
Some models had a history of failure or bad solder connections. others may
have a combination of capacitors & other materials; Finally we have to fix.

One of the remedies for a graphics card problem, is a re - weld made by the
users who have taken their card from the computer & their cooked in the kitchen oven.
This idea has worked for some; You may be able to contact an authorized Apple

The details of the computer in the bottom of your post isn't an iMac G5 model, and
There is no powerPC G5 processor equipped Macs after late vintage

It failed due to a graphic processor; where she lived the BestBuy did not fix

So, there are some out there in almost perfect condition, but not fixed, always.
Do not know if the charges involved would be the value relative to the other

Sorry I don't have any new ideas regarding this problem.

I'm under 64-bit Windows 8
Apparently, I scanned my system with a complete analysis of the system (AVAST) and my computer left thinking that it would take several hours. When I came back, my computer automatically shut down because it was left idle for about 4 hours. I don't know if the scan is finished. When I try to start, the screen becomes screen stuck on "Please wait" or "windows setup. Do not turn off your computer.I already tried to go on the System Recovery Options screen, then will solve the problems, then Advanced Options, but I tried everything what it and the problem persists even when I tried to start in safe mode. I tried to go to the command prompt, and then type sfc / scannow, but he says he cannot parse now. I also tried chkdsk / R, but it said the same thing. I don't know how to run cmd as administrator from the System Recovery Options.
So now I tried to use system restore, but I'm stuck on the logo of windows for about 1 and a half hour. I don't know if I have to wait for it or it is already blocked. In other forums I've read, they were using only the Group of drive 'C:' connected with system restore. Should I do this?
I think to delete AVAST or turn it off somehow.
Please help me.Problem solved
I would like to share how I solved the problem. I was able to start using the windows 8 cd and in the window that asks you the language of the windows 8 needs to be installed, you can see below "computer repair".
After clicking on it, it automatically prompts me for advanced boot parameters. First I tried the auto repair, but it says the same thing, '.. '. can't fix right now... »
So I tried the option "pc refresh. I waited a few minutes to cool to do and after the process, it is more hung please wait screen when starting.Once connected, I installed programs have been removed. In the local disk files, there is a new "windows.old folder ' showing all programs that I have the old system. Re-install program is easy and the best thing is that I have my computer back.
My deep gratitude to those who helped me. Thank you!

I have wndow XP Home edition service pack 3 installed on my lap top. When I start the computer the hard drive continues to work for almost 1/2 hour; Meanwhile, if I open IE, or any program, the machine runs very slowly and I just can not open the program up until the drive hard light is off. Please help solve the problem
How much RAM you have on your system? (Right click on "My Computer"-> properties)
As a general rule, Windows XP does not work well if you have less than 1 GB or more of RAM. What usually happens is that your RAM capacity is exceeded leading to overflow on virtual memory (the drive) to compensate for the need of RAM in the computer. This causes your system to beat on your hard drive and slow down your system.
If this is your problem, the options are to increase the RAM on your system or decrease the non-essential programs that launch at startup on your computer using a tool like Autoruns.

need help with the screen flashing flicker
While in some applications, I get a flicker of the screen fast, can't find the problem / source.
Hello
1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?
I suggest you to set up your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.
By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.
Follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click on start toreduce this top that i, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
(b) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(c) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.
Hope this information is useful.

I had the same problem - the gesture (swipe left/right) is correct, but I guess you drag too far up. Stay in the bottom quarter of the screen.
This post helped me to http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-q10-f272/swipe-gesture-back-android-runtime-873566/#post9541...
And as usual, as soon as you know what to do, you need a bit of practice and suddenly, it is quite normal to swipe this way... (and you wonder why he didn't is not supported in the native BB applications )

I need help with the site please.
Hello
I downloaded a model of WWW and edited with dreamweaver, previewed it all ok so I downloaded and there was a problem.
The site is still in construction but in FIREFOX, it shows even the design, while in IE it displays correctly (at least for me, my friend got no design on both browsers).
Here is the site www.lasni-podaljski.net
Please can you tell me what I did wrong, or where is a mistake?
If it's not ' show you properly, here's the picture how it should look.
Thank you for your help,
Mirko
The site does not display correctly because browsers cannot find the style sheet (.css file) because link you to a file on your H drive on your computer.
You must download the file style.css on your Web server and change the link in your HTML file
so, instead of this:
file:///H|/Documents and Settings/Mirko/Desktop/Beauty/style.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
