Helping with pre-installed Vmware 6.5 - PXE - E53: no bootname received

Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for reading this first, because any help you can give is appreciated.

I went through the installation process for the manufacture of a new virtual machine. I get the error of starting of PXE - E53: no bootname received. I can't understand why!

The answer I'm looking for is how to actually start the trunk.

Here is what I tried:

-Use the physical disk in my drive (E:\) to use in the boot for Windows 98 sequence

-Turn the disc in ISO format and use an ISO for the boot sequence

- And the last and final option using Daemon tools to turn the cd in a virtual drive and from the sequence to boot from there

All three of these ways gave me the dreaded boot error: PXE - E53: no bootname received

Here's what I tried to counter-attack this error:

-Hit escape, F2 and F12 for the one second that you have is the VMware logo, play with the bios, and finally, choosing each option respective with three formats I tried above.

-Make different virtual machines repeatedly, so it is not only this operating system.

And Yes, the drive is not faulty, I used it to start the systems before.

My specs are:

Windows Vista 32,

3 GIG Ram

X 2 duel processor core 5000 +.

8800 GT display driver

2611 made

Here is a picture to help describe the error I get. Thanks a lot for your help once again! I really need!

You are welcome!

Once the installation is complete, remember to install the VMware tools inside the guest.  (Select VM-> install VMware Tools, then follow the prompts)

visit Windows Update to get updates "later."

    Hi all

    I recently bought a y510p ideapad. It came with pre-installed win8, and I have no recovery CD. I intend to play with linux on this laptop, but do not want to lose win8. So before I have potentially immediately reformat, I think to make a copy of clone of my HDD on an external USB drive. The general plan is like that,

    1. make a copy of mobile on external USB HARD drive

    2 mud with linux - and foolishly autour reformat the entire process

    3. have fed up with linux and want to return to windows

    4 copy of retrospective data from usb driver external HDD latop

    5 return to the comfort of win8

    With the help of this tool (clonezilla) will work in the above scenario?

    If not, are there any other alternatives (free if all goes well) I could use?

    My intention with the backup, is that after that I have 'restore' things, "a key recovery" button should continue to work as before.

    Make the plan will cause OKR is not functioning properly. To prove this to get a hard drive of exact size and make a clone of hard disk of the device. Remove the hard drive from the unit and place the disc clone hard inside. You can now play with the disk hard clone to your hearts desire but OKR first test if it still works. Even if OKR no longer work, you can proceed with the installation of linux. Once you're disgusted with Linux everything you have to do is replace the hard disk clone with the original hard drive and you're back to win with OKR 8 still works.

  • Computer with pre installed windows 7 no longer work after Windows installation 10

    Hello

    A few months ago, my son ordered a computer with Windows 7 pre-installed. He installed Windows 10 such as recommended with the message 'free upgrade'. Unfortunately, now the computer does not work at all and the computer doesn't seem to have a possibility of recovery (at least we cannot find it).

    In addition, the computer manufacturer does not meet one of e-mails and calls from some time. What can we do to recover his computer with Windows 7 or Windows 10 (I don't like which version of Windows)? Windows setup does not work 10 from scratch, the product key has not been accepted, probably because there is only a product key for a pre installed windows 7.

    Help, please!

    Kind regards

    John

    Hi Heinz von Appen,

    Thanks for asking! If I understand correctly, you want to know if you buy the license of Windows 7 If you buy Windows 7 pre installed.

    If you buy a PC with Windows 7 installed, it is not necessary to purchase a separate license.

    Hope this information is helpful and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help.

    Vidya, thank you very much for your super fast response. I followed your option no. 1. The PC is now 2 Windows 7 upgrade. There seems to be a problem with a driver/software. After a start, I get a pop-up window with "HP MediaSmart has stopped working". Close the application. Any suggestion?
    In addition, how can I upgrade to Service Pack 1?
    Thanks again.

  • Reinstalling windows 7 starter on a netbook with pre-installed windows edition

    I have a Samsung N145 10 '' netbook that I would like to clean it with a cloth. It came with a product key for windows starter 7, but no disc.

    I tried to download windows 7 from the windows site to reinstall. But entering my product key, I got this message:
    "The product key you have entered seems to be for software pre-installed by the manufacturer of the device. Contact the manufacturer of the software device for recovery options. »

    How can I clean my computer or reinstall windows?

    Thank you

    You must use the recovery partition of manufacturers to reinstall Windows 7.

    New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

    This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

    For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

    If the recovery partition does not work, try the following:

    How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

    Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

    What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

    You just need to install a driver, Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
    As the name said it s an Intel driver and can be found on the Intel page or you can download it from the European driver Toshiba page too.
    Check your area driver books and search for storage manager or package of robson.

    I recommend also to search in this forum for similar discussions on Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver.

  • Reinstalling windows 7 on a laptop comes with pre-installed windows

    I bought my Dell XPS two or three years, and it came with a preinstalled version of Windows 7 64-bit. I would now like to format and perform a new installation of the same version of Windows.

    I already have a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc (tested on an old machine server and that market), I wrote down the product ID (found in the computer-> properties-> Windows activation), which looks like xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx, and also, using a few different 3rd party programs Magic Jelly Bean, ProduKey, Belarc), I found my product key, which looks like xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.

    These two will be enough to activate my Windows after I have format my computer? Can I first of all turn off somewhere before formatting to release the license?

    I received my DVD of a link provided by a moderator on this forum (there was a link to msft.digitalrivercontent.net).

    I already have a backup system full (using the backup and restore of windows tool) on an external drive in case something goes wrong and am currently backing up my personal data as well as the basic driver.

    I find the COA sticker on the underside of my laptop, so I hope that I now have the correct product key.

    Thank you very much for the help!

    You are welcome.

    As you have the ISO digitalriver download on DVD do this way:

    How to do a clean install; and Yes, to use the product key on the COA sticker you have found with the method chosen to reinstall:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html

    By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

    If it does require phone activation, do not follow Demand of Auto, but brace yourself for a real person explain as to what has been done for purposes of re-setup

    "How to activate Windows 7 by phone '

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

    The above method also requires that you go to your computer manufacturer's website > Support and downloads Section > locate your model number and operating system > then download and install the latest drivers for it.

  • How to save with pre-installed Windows XP Home edition SP3 but no install disc?

    I want to save data files on desktop with preinstalled Windows XP Home Edition SP3.  I don't have access to an installation disc.   How can I get a?

    You don't need a Windows installation CD in order to backup data files.  What makes you think do you?

    [The light bulb turns]: you're probably trying to install NTBackup.  My advice to you is to forget NTBackup and get a disk imaging or cloning application.  I propose the following actions:

    Acronis True Image Home
    Paragon backup and recovery home
    Casper 6.0
    Norton Ghost (used to be the standard for imaging applications, but I haven't used recent editions; if you really want to use a Symantec product, read the reviews on Amazon)

    If you really want to use NTBackup (worth what you pay for it), see http://www.ihatedroz.com/windows-backup-utility-without-cd

    Microsoft does not disks for computers of brand manufacturers.

    https://secure.TX.Acer.com/rcdb/main.aspx?brand=Acer

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
