Whenever I try to print double-sided, my 4630 print the first side very well, then returns the document, but before he can print the second side of the tip of the paper seems to catch something.  The book comes out with a notch at the front, or simply crumples upward and blocking the printer.  Printing works fine.

I followed the suggestions online to remove the small pieces of paper from the printer.  They help with this problem.  Any suggestions?  I really want to print two-sided again.

    Hi @cmarceau

I understand that you said that you have followed the instructions online, but can you describe what you've done so far? I suggest cleaning the rollers and maybe by aligning the printer again, but I don't know what you did and what you might not have.

Maybe watch the following document and make sure you have completed all the steps suggested; A "Paper jam" message on the control panel.

Please also check that you select the correct paper for the printer type know how heavy the paper should be.

I look forward to hear from you.

  • How can I clear the paper jam in my printer

How can I clear the paper jam in my printer?

    Hello Janet,.

    Let me ask you;

    • What is the brand and model of the printer?
    • Do you have the manual of the printer with you?

The following factors can cause paper jams:

    1. paper loaded properly in the paper tray.

2 rolls of paper damaged or dirty.

    3. torn, crumpled or wet paper loaded in the paper tray.

    4. the access door back or double-sided (duplexer) printing accessory cannot be closed or is not locked in place.

5 paper was added to a stack already in the status bar.
The status bar contained more than one type of paper.

    6. torn pieces of paper from a previous jam are stuck in the product.

    7. the status bar is too full.

    8. If printing on an envelope, the envelope edges are bent.

To avoid damage to the printer, see the documentation that came with the printer to see how to remove paper jams. Function of the printer, and where the problem is occurring, you might want to try one of the following options:

    • Go to the printer, the arrival of mail in the State or the display on the printer area that might tell you where the problem occurred, and then complete steps provided to remove the paper jam. If the printer does not display an information about the problem, check the information that came with the printer. If the printer is connected to a network domain, contact a system administrator or your company support desk.

    • Some printers offer a button that you can press on and hold, or paper feed another option that you can use to try to get the paper without damaging the printer.

    • You may need to open the printer casing and remove the paper that is the cause of the problem. Before do you, check the documentation that came with the printer to see if you put off the printer or take other measures to prevent injury to yourself or damage to the printer.

You should also check if the printer box opening will result in the invalidity of the guarantee or any agreement to repair that you bought or supplied with the printer. For more information on the agreements, check the detail information and manufacturer supplied with the printer.

If the problem persists, use the printer to help manual or contact the manufacturer of the printer to help.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more AIO automatic document feeder paper jam.

During the analysis of a smaller document using the ADF, he got stuck in the charger. While recovering the document, a corner of the document got torn and is stuck in the document feeder. Now, whenever I use the loader to scan a document once again, that the document gets stuck because of a small piece of paper that is still stuck in the charger. I tried carefully with a toothpick to catch the small piece of paper, but I can't put a finger on her. Is it possible to open a little more? Not only the cover of the power supply unit? Or are there other ideas to solve my problem?

Thx for any suggestions you may have.

    Hello KrisV

You have exceeded the article the ADF (ADF) documents does not Pick Up paper? If so, or if the problem persists, try to slightly heavier paper through the ADF. I've seen some clients clear paper jams using this method. Thicker paper can be thick enough to get out any remaining paper. I'm not sure what specific weight of paper they used however.

I have a paper jam in tray my 8500. I can open the scanner, but I can't understand how to access the mechanism for rolls below. • OfficeJet Pro x476dn MFP: paper jam not clearing of documents automatic feeding

    Hi all

I have an Officejet Pro x476dn MFP, which has an automatic paper feed paper jam. The paper is cleared, but the charger always record a jam. I followed the instructions on the printer and in the downloaded user manual from HP.com. I have also checked the sensor flag hangs freely and blew out with a can of airto feeder remove any accumulation of dust or particles of paper. I even half loaded a sheet of tissue paper on the larger particles that may stick. I also checked all other jam points have been cleared.

The exact error I get is "paper (title)... jam. The original is stuck in the autoloader of Document (CAD). ' Open the ADF cover, remove and reload the original and then try again.  This printer is less than a year and I come to you for more information before you contact HP. I still can not print, but can not scan or copy (cannot return to the home screen). If you need made more information let me know.

    Thank you

  • OfficeJet Pro 6230: Officejet Pro 6230 continous (not of paper) paper jam error

As soon as the printer powers on it the ink carrier Wizz backward real quick (as he struggles to move) and then gives me a paper jam error (the resume light flashes and error appears on my screen). He did the same thing when I try to print anything (including the status report page).

When I up the access panel upward (power on), the carrier of ink isn't even move to ink cartridges which can be changed. I try to move with force, but it does not move (if I use more strength, somethings will break). Ink is a bit new, so I don't know it still has ink in there.

    The steps I've tried:

plugged the power supply into the wall outlet

    roller cleaning

THERE IS NO PAPER or PAPER PIECES BETWEEN ROLLERS (I checked like 20 times)

    reset the printer

There is a large black gear coupled to a white average speed on the left side near the bottom of the printer. I manually drove the speed by pressing (rotation) of North (or forward or to the rear of the printer) for a few seconds and once I did that. the ink carrier was able to move as it's supposed to, and I could see the ink. but once the power is back on, the carrier of ink was in the locked position and fights again and gives me the paper jam error.

I don't have really any troubleshooting documents on the CV online on how to fix a jammed media of ink and clearing paper jams, so I'm out of options.

    It is plugged into USB

The main problem is the paper jam error.

I don't know if the stuck carrier of ink is the cause.

  • False paper jam in nine HP LaserJet Pro 100 M175nw

I have a brand new unit never printed a page.  As soon as I plugged it in, I got the error message of paper jam.

"Feeder jam clear doc, reload" press [OK] to continue.  By pressing 'OK' or the Cancel of X button does nothing.

I made (double, triple checked) there was no Ribbon, paper, packing anywhere on or in the printer.  I can even coax to print a page, but the error never stops.  It does not copy and does not print a page 100% correctly.  I cycled the printer power switch unplug the printer about 5 times and no change.  I took each cartridge and reinstalled the drum and what looked like she could be removed easily.  No change.

    Help

OK, so I followed the instructions online for the "jam" and "false jam" at least a dozen times.  Also, I stayed and followed the suggestions of the HP cat.  A few hours later and no success what-so-ever, I finally called HP customer service for a refund.

The gentleman I spoke to the HP Customer Service was AWESOME.  Long story short, he walked me through a few things that I already had, but at the end he told me:

1 roll each roll that I could reach in the document feeder, just to release what it is stuck.

    2. place a document on the flat bed scanner and try to copy.

#2 fixed my problem!  It's somehow reset the printer or caused the error to "look" somewhere other than this error.  He took a solid 2-3 minutes to "think" about the analysis, but eventually copied the document and executed perfectly.  It's been several days and the printer has played perfectly every time.

  • 4500 paper jam error

This machine worked well for me over the years. This morning, I tried to print and received the error - paper jam: clear and press OK. I pulled the paper at the back intact. Again, the printer immediately jams now as soon as I hit OK and the paper goes into the machine. If I stop and disconnect as soon as it's on, I get the paper jam error. I inspected inside the machine from the front and the back and see paperless. I had nothing out torn. In addition, the rolls all appear clean and that there are no even dust in the machine. I did the reboot with holding the # and 3 # 6. Whenever I give my language and location, I'm back for the paper jam: clear and press OK. If no document is loaded I still get the error if it is busy it gets pulled into a time jams. Removed the back stuck pages have 3 reels as dashes on any page about 2 inches down. I read like 45 Messages other users. Is there anything else I can try or should I start shopping?

If you get the error message of paper jam and have even done the reset, nothing helps, the only other suggestion is to remove the ink cartridges and do a hard reset (remove the power cord at the back of the printer, while it is running and then plug it ten seconds later come back in).  While the ink is out, take a flashlight and look carefully where the ink goes.  I saw jams of real transportation continues to display the error message of paper jam.

When you turn back on the printer by plugging the power cord in back in, look at transport, make sure that it moves freely.

It is probably a machine off the power to the next level and can be more effort it is worth to take apart and find the exact speed the cause.  I'm sorry you're having this problem, but you have certainly confirmed that you did all the classic steps to fix this.  I hope this helps you.

  • My printer 1018 shows a "paper jam" when there is none. Why?

The computer is running Windows XP.  I tried everything in the manual.  The problem began just after I wiped the excess toner from the paper path.  If I turn the computer then turn it back, the Green led comes on, but change to red as soon as I try to print, even from the location of the single page and without the computer by making a noise.  He behaves as if a switch is open, but the toner cartridge is in place and the door is closed.   Suggestions?    Nivals

Paper jams are normally caused by dirty rollers or paper stuck in places, someone thinks it should be. The document following the link will take you through all areas of control and things to try. If that doesn't help, do a hard reset. If it still does not work, you will need to replace the printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

A "Paper jam" Message appears on the computer and on the printer flashes the Attention

    To do a hard reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
    5. plug in the printer and turn it on.
