Hi the these high temperatures for my HP Pavillion P6604f?

CPU (AMD ATHLON II X 2 220) - 29-30 degrees inactive

AMD 785 G Motherboard-35-37 degrees inactive

GPU ATI HD 4670-44 degrees inactive

Now, the reason why I ask this is that maybe there is a month, the computer worked at 20-25 degrees and 15 degrees idle processor Motherboard idle. Seems to have changed a bit, I see a little dust on the cpu, but how to clean the motherboard reduce the temperature? Graphics card temperature seems normal to me because it's a HIS HD 4670 of isilence 4, which means that its passively cooled (0 db) with some just heat sinks. Also someone could link me to how take off a cpu with fan radiator, so I can clean it?

Hello

Hair dryer is not a concentrated (focused) air flow which will penetrate far enough into the heat sink.

The sink sink smell loose by chance?

You will need to undo the fan (there should be a clip on each side) to reach the four screws to remove heat sink.  Once the heatsink is removed, then use little of isopropyl alcohol to remove the old thermal paste from the top of the processor and the heat sink. Just apply a small amount (no bigger than a pea) of thermal paste to the top of the processor.  You can even out the thermal paste with a simple straight razor blade, but it doesn't have much of a difference that the tightening of the heatsink on top of the processor will be spread the dough.

Arctic MX-2 is an excellent thermal paste.  I use usually Arctic sliver 5 which is tied with MX-2.

BTW, clean the heat sink with compressed air after remove you it, but before you apply new thermal paste.

  • What is the range of temperature for the 9219 and 9211 measurement modules using a K type thermocouple as the sensor?

    Hello

hope I posted in the right place. I'm about ready to buy a cDAQ-9172 chassis and modules temperature 9211 or 9219 universal. I have not yet taken my mind yet. Then, I thought that one of them would make the temperature range required that I need. I need to go from-40 ° C to + 200 ° C and I will use a K type thermocouple. Does anyone know what are these upper and lower limits with this configuration?

    Thank you

  • Too high temperature on Satellite Pro L20?

    Hey,.

last night, when the temperature of the 'Temp 1 meaning' of game reaches 101 ° C / 210 ° F.

    Is - this too high?

My Toshiba Satellite Pro L20 is now almost 5 years old. The fan works and the Bios for the cooling setting is set to 'Performance '. If the current clock speed is roughly 800 MHz (1.7 GHZ), feel Temp 0 is between 35 and 40 ° C / 95-105 ° F and the Temp sense 1 = 50-60 ° C / 120-140 ° F.

    Michael

Seems a bit high for such a machine... have you ever cleaned the cooling system of your laptop?

Could be the fan and cooling impeller is clobbed with the dust that causes these high temperatures. I suggest you to go for an electronic market, take a can with compressed air and clean with compressed air as the cooling system of dust and all that lives inside your machine. :)

Please check after cleaning if the temp rise again.

  • Battery high capacity for X60s

On my X60s original battery died and I decided to buy the battery high capacity for it. I bought the battery 8 cells (40Y7003) the Lenovo Web site suggested according to my model number, but it does not fit! It corresponds to the binding, but it is thicker and tighter than 4 cells, I had, and when cell 8 is installed, because it is thicker, my laptop could not be balanced. It's like a table with one leg shorter than the other.

The question is what my X60s battery. Only 4 cells (40Y6999), or I can combine with the long battery life (40Y7005), or there are other large capacity batteries that can result in laptop?

You have the spacer attached as described in point 5, on this site?

  • Satellite A200-1TP - the high temperature of the processor

Hello, I have never had a problem with my laptop up to now... I was playing a game when I couldn't play more because my keyboard was raging on the left side.
I checked the temperature of the cpu and it was 80 c! I don't know too much about temperatures, but I think it is too high.
I closed the game and he lowered to ~ 60, then I tried a program called orthos to check the performance of the PC while making 400 iterations of lucas-lehmer and it reached 95 C! OK, it's time to do something.
I tried to format my laptop and see what happpens... On 'high performance', it of about 64 c and on 'power saver' must be between 50 - 55 c, a better way but I think it should be lower. I tried to clean the fan with a vacuum and I think it helped a little... I dare not open my phone because I don't know that I'll break it.
The fan is not broken, it is running, I tried using 'speedfan' change rpm, but this program does not detect my fan so I can't do anything...
I don't know why this is happening. I was so happy until now... I would like to repair the laptop, not to buy a laptop cooler, then... what I need to do?

    Thank you

-Furthermore, the disc is 41 c and GPU temperature is 27 c, I think these are ok.

    Hello

    > I tried to format my laptop and see what happens... On 'high performance', it of about 64 c and on 'power saver' must be between 50 - 55 c, a better way but I think it should be lower.

No contact, the temperature will not stay if you run applications of high performance as the games for example.
Running high-performance programs all internal devices must run with max performance which leads to a higher heat dissipation and this leads to a higher temperature

Of course clean dust cooling modules and debris should help cool the laptop better but it won't change the fact that you will always see a higher temperature, running games

PS: CPU keeps the temperature of 100 degrees, that's what I found on the Intel page!

  • Reading of temperature for the use of Thinkpad T510

    Hi all

I have a question about the standard temperature / acceptable range for computers thinkpad t510 operation. My setup is currently my t510 is connected to an external monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse. Therefore basically a desktop computer except using the innerds of the laptop as the "heart" of the system. My power manager put the CPU to adapt. The temperature readings that I get for the processor and the motherboard download the program called of Piriform Speccy are on average 60 to 61 degrees C. I wonder if it is within the normal temperature of operation for the laptop and if it is acceptable. What is the temperature not okay and why it is so high, it's that I use external references. Also, I even use heavy workload for the laptop and more for the web, browsing and listening to music and work on documents / spread sheet so basically, office work.

And finally, the problem of temperature would resolve if I would in the future to get a computer laptop w530 since these laptops are more "powerful"? Or is that evil and the temperature is normal.

    Thanks in advance for answers

Yes ~ 60 ° C is quite normal. I would get concerned if temperature readings consistently exceeded 80 c or if the fan was constantly. Otherwise you will see the temperature fluctuates as activity processor and graphics vary.

  • ASIO Driver for the Conexant high definition SmartAudio 221

The laptop is: "Satellite Pro P300 PSPC5E.
The sound card is: "Conexant High Definition Smart Audio 221.
    The operating system is: "XP".
The driver instaled audio is: "Conexant HD Audio version 3.47.1.50" (the only one offered by Toshiba in the drivers downloads page) (comes in the zip file: 'sound - 20081014174616.zip'.) Once installed the reported driver file is: "CONEXANT\CNXT_AUDIO_HDA\UIU32a.exe")

The problem is that this driver works slowly with the software for music production Steinberg "Cubase 5".
Steinberg recommends the use of an ASIO driver for the better functioning of Cubase 5.

So, the QUESTION is: "Where can I find, if it exists, an ASIO driver for the Conexant High Definition Audio Smart 221 to install in the Toshiba P300 with XP OS?"

Conexant page there is no option to ask.

    Thanks in advance.

    G.

I'm sure that Toshiba doesn't support these things and with this problem, you are on your own.

Another thing: Satellite P300 is designed for Windows Vista and it would be interesting to know if there is a difference if you run this on Vista.
    Version Vista. Steinberg "Cubase 5"?

They have the best experience with own product and I'm sure they can help you with this. If they recommend something, they know where to find it. Recommendation is based on the tested driver. Then ask them where to find this driver.

  • HP DV7-3063cl laptop PC: what is the maximum temperature for safe operation of the DV7 3063 cl with the upgrade of the 640 M CPU?

I have recently restored a HP DV7 3063 cl laptop that died a hot mother (MB). I replaced the MB with a new Board of Directors of HP when the price has been reduced to $100, updated the CPU with an announced as new AMD 640 M and applied Arctic Silver on CPU and graphics chips. I put in 4 G memory cool, got the computer to work and installed Windows 10.

The computer seems to run very hot and stopped twice from overheating during its first period of 2 weeks when it there was not a lot of calculating, fan was run at top speed at all times, and the laptop was high to allow good airflow below.

According to the program of the Open Hardware Monitor, the CPU had reached 97-99 C a few times. I bought support cooling a player and that seems to help a lot, dropping the temperature to 20 ° C.

What is the maximum temperature for safe operation of the DV7 with the upgrade of the 640 M CPU?

Anything more than 90 c is too hot. You can specify the processor and the motherboard you have installed?

Also if this from the Manual:

Thermal paste is used on 1 CPU and heat sink section 2 that the services it. Thermal pads are used on the chip Northbridge 3 and 4, the graphical subsystem chip 5 contact Northbridge and graphics/heatsink contact 6. Thermal material replacement is included with all kits of spare parts of processor, heatsink and system board.

So unless you have changed the cooling system to heat composed on the chip graphic you should have used a thermal buffer. Without the pad, it may leave just a small hallway and destroy the cooling properties. You can use a shim in copper or other piece of something metal to fill the void, but if you just put the heat sink down on the video chip you won't get optimal even with thermal cooling paste.

Use a no driver or a thermal buffer.

the gray Ribbon is a preferable themal pad use this WHICH CAME into IT.
Because maybe a wedge and to finish with this and without contact.

you upgraded from a 31 to 34 watt TDP watt not much, but he's going to run hot.
75-80 c is hot Yes, but you have class 65nm cpu will run hot because it is old and a lot of work.
If you all know toothpaste can served in the tests but I have not use because it can dry out and not sure what exacly.
heat wise, I do belive in toothpaste is wise very good heat but stick with the gray Ribbon.

Please do not take into account the (re) post above.

I used AS5 on thousands of ThinkPads with no ill effects, in fact the opposite. Research experiences minimal posted by other owners on Bill Morrow ThinkPad Forum will confirm this statement as well. Arctic Silver is as good as it gets unless you want to spend $50 for a tube of thermal paste.

To OP, your machine is running too hot for the processor in question. My 15 "T60p with T7600 is inactive at least 50 degrees C and does no more than 62 in normal use. And Yes, it was AS5 inside.

  • Compensation of temperature for the strain gauges

I'm trying to compensate for the effects of temperature on an extensometer placed on a sample of carbon fiber.  The sample will be only responsible uniaxialement.  The temperature is a major concern here, for an electrical current will be executed by him for purposes of measurement, which should also heat the sample.  I read in the document 'Strain gauges measure' on the website of NOR (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3642/en), but he speaks with a Measurer of mannequin, he speaks not just how this second pledge, placed perpendicularly to the axis of the applied force, we are not talking of how connect to the strain gauge module , in my case the NI 9235, to use for temperature compensation.  My first thought was just connect each pledge to the module as their own separate channels, using quarter-bridge in the LabVIEW software set up, calibrate the two gauges while not external physical load or temperature effects are applied, and then, after the test, by subtracting the measure pledge Sham in the values of assets pledged.  But then I started wondering, is there a better way to do this?  Can I use the half-bridge configuration, or some other configuration with the 9235 to automatically merge the readings two pledge during the test?

I'd appreciate it really any advice that anyone can give me on this.  I don't want to build my own external wheatstone bridge (other than the built-in NI 9235), and I would like to make these measurements as accurate as possible.  I have also considered the possibility of the compensators measurers, but I don't think this would be applicable in this case, the complexity of the matter - being a composite.

    Hello WyoEng,

You want to use the temperature compensation is referred to as a quarter bridge II configuration (image below). This configuration is very similar to a half of the bridge, while the second element (R3) is inactive because it is placed transversely to the direction of the load, without strain and in the same location the active gage (R4) to take account of thermal affect.

NI 9235 supports only a quarter bridge I configuration for measures of constraints.  You will get an error if you try to use this module for any other configuration of pledge of strain that is not quarter bridge I. Thus, active policy that you asked to use two channels to read the pledge and the dummy gage will be the best option to use NI 9235 to compensate for thermal effects on your extensometer.

Another option would be to look on the NI 9237 which supports a quarter bridge II configuration.

  • Remove the secondary controller and tertiary high availability for each access point

I want to remove secondary and tertiary sector controller of high availability for each access point. I have more than 900 APs associated with a Version of the WLC 8510 8.0.121.0 software. What is the best/better way to remove secondary and tertiary controller?
Or I can create a model first. We use version 2.2

    Hello

    Easiest way:

Yes you can do this by using the first Cisco Infrastructure, you can create a Setup AP Lightweight model to specify the name of the PDC and the IP address and specify an empty value (choose the first empty option in the drop-down list) and 0.0.0.0 for the secondary and tertiary sector controllers.  Then you can apply this model to the AP, and she must remove (virgins all) values for these fields.

    Long way:

Yes there is no clean way to remove it from the CLI. you need to manually remove each on the AP.

  • Complex script to automate the Conversion of Images high resolution for the Web

I use Actions in Photoshop (currently using CS4) all the time, but have never tapped into the scripting features, so please forgive me if these questions are obvious.

The basic description of my project is simply creating web images in jpg format, among our library of high-resolution print images.

We have a folder with a copy of all the images we need to convert. File types from TIF, PSD, EPS, and JPG.

    The challenges (for me) are:

    1. these images vary in orientation to be big or wide; I need the higher between dimensions, whether the height or the width, 400 pixels; and then I need to canvas has added to the other dimension to make the picture a perfect square of 400 x 400. I don't know how, or if I can, do PS choose the bigger dimensions, to 400 px.

    2. some of these images have clipping paths; I need to use these roads to clear the background in the pictures; the names of these masks are not the same in each image.

Thus, the basic flow of the script would open the file; Set the maximum size to 400 px; Add a blank canvas to fill the other dimension and that also make 400px; use an image clipping path if it has one to erase the background of the image. Save for web in jpg format, adding "-400" at the end of the name of the file (but before the '.jpg'); size 115 value and save for web, by adding '-115' to the name. value size 80 and save for web, by adding '-80' to the name.

A new version has been downloaded more than PS - Scripts Sean this now creates a record of each file selected with the name of "JPEG" and there the possibility to include subfolders.
