Hide empty drives in the computer folder

While I checked the point of 'Readers of empty skin in the computer folder' under Folder Options - > files and folders, Windows Explorer, a DVD show should Virgin disk on Windows Explorer - > computer?

I thought that it should not.  Windows Explorer of my Windows 7 does, however.

Windows Explorer always shows the CD and DVD drives.  The option 'Hide empty drives' hiding things like empty flash card readers. Boulder computer Maven

  • The computer folder is empty after the use of group policy for card readers

    Hello

I used the Windows Server 2008 Group Policy to create network drive mappings. This works for most, but on some accounts, it caused the computer folder is empty.
For example, the folder of the computer used to have my C drive, my drive DVDROM, my USB and some network drives. Now his absolutely empty.
If I click on start and type in C: it correctly to the my C drive and shows all records.
If I put in a UNC path, it will correctly here.
So the problem is that nothing is displayed in the folder on the computer.
I tried to completely delete the user account from the C: drive and connect to the domain again, but it is always empty.
    Thanks for the help.

Is there a way to copy the drivers and setup of the drive from the computer and transfer them to the reader of the dead computer?

    Hello

You cannot copy the drivers installed anyway.

    Saving your files:

You can remove the hard drive and put it in a hard drive USB enclosure > plug it into another computer > and try to read and copy your data in this way.

You can access Mode safe? You start the computer, press F8 repeatedly. Cases in this use System

No registration necessary data and re - install Windows Vista may be the best option if
    Here are a few more.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd drive (the best) or a
External drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD,
or other USB keys. Of course, a real computer store or your system maker can help to recover
    the files.

Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

-Double click - Driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - device Manager - map - graph
then right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is
CTRL + ALT + DEL - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS
-then on the Applications tab - lower right kind - new task - in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode

You can try an In-Place Upgrade (hopefully save programs and data) or a repair installation

  • How to copy a catalog of external hard drive to the hard drive of the computer to use smart insights not connected to the external hard drive?

I am very new to LR5. I put LR5 in place so that my catalog and photos are on an external hard drive. I discovered that when not connected to the hard drive, LR5 can't find my catalog, therefore, I can't do any editing in intelligent insights, unless it is connected to an external hard drive. How can I fix this so that I can edit photos without being connected to an external hard drive. Is it possible to copy the catalog out of the hard disk on the computer's hard drive or I have to re-establish a new catalog using LR5? Must the catalog always be loaded onto the hard drive? Thank you in advance.

Yes that's correct. The LR catalog must be on the computer's internal drive. Then when you have smart previews activated you can change the image without going through the reader that they are connected. When you connect this drive images will be updated.

Simply COPY these 4 folders on your internal drive in a folder called Lightroom catalog that you create. Then open LR and go on the file menu point and select open catalog. Navigate to the folder you created called catalog in Lightroom and select the Lightroom Catalog.lrcat 5 file and click Open. Once restart Lightroom open change preferences, > preferences, and under the general tab, in the catalog default section make sure that "when starting to use this catalogue:" listings in the area where you copied the files. Something like Macintosh HD/Wherever, have created it this folder/that folder name/Lightroom catalog.lrcat 5.

  • Erase the drive to the computer store

    Hi guys,.

I send you my iMac to fix a screen. I don't want the possibility of the it Department at my personal information. I decided that the best way is to make a Time Machine backup, and then put in shape or erase my HD.

Can I be sure I have a Time Machine backup all my files backed up to 100%? For example, mail sent, received e-mails, Photos on Aperture and so on... There are a lot of hidden files, who knows where.

I would like to reinstall my Mavericks when I get my iMac back and hope that everything will be there Time machine.

    Any tips or ideas?

    Thank you!

I'm not a big fan of Time Machine, then I would say you clone the drive to an external drive.

Clone of Yosemite, Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion, using utility restore disk Option

    HD recovery start:

Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until the menu screen appears. Otherwise, restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the OPTION key until the Boot Manager screen. Select the Recovery HD and click on the arrow pointing down.

    1. Select utility disk in the main menu then press on continue

    button.

    2. Select the destination volume in the list on the left.

    3. click on the tab restore in the main window of THE.

    4. Select the destination volume in the left list and then drag

for the input of Destination field.

    5. Select the volume of the source of the list on the left and drag it to

    the Source field.

    6. check understood you, and then click Restore.

Destination means that the external backup drive. Source means that the boot disk internal.

  • Break every 2 seconds for writing on hard drive of the computer.

Run LV2010 on a machine W7 Pro 64 bit CPU i5-2500 3.3 GHz and 8G of RAM.  The machine is around the age of 6 months.

I have a request I'm reading from a USB device and write to the hard disk.  The USB device does not know when my application writes to the hard drive, so I really doubt that the problem is there anywhere.  My application continuously collect and graph data from the USB device.  The device has a tampon in it and the State of the buffer is sent upward with the data contained in each package.  The State is still weak, because the computer has no trouble to the read buffer faster that the unit can charge upwards.  In other words, unless the PC is writing data to the hard drive.  When this happens, it works perfectly for about 2 seconds, then the buffer fills completely shot and overflows, then he just read more quickly down to zero.  This happens again and again, to repeatable intervals, which are about 2 seconds apart.  The only reason that would cause a buffer overrun, is that the PC is not read it fairly quickly.  On the slower computers of the past, I'd like to see that happen as the buffer would inch its way up slowly, when the PC was just too slow to keep up.  At the time it happened, record HD or not.  In this case, it comes quickly, and back down, as if the PC just took a short coffee break.  I even set the priority to high hoping the BONE would not pause, but alas, it makes no difference.  Does anyone know why a PC would do this during the recording of HD?  Thank you.

Is the code that is written on the hard disk in the same loop that acquires data?  Writing to the hard disk will always be slower than the other processes in the PC.  Your postal code so that we can see what you're doing.  You should use a producer/consumer architecture to transmit data through the queues of the loop for the acquisition of data for the file write loop.

Is it possible that this PC has anti-virus running on it is taken way too long to analyze all the files the PC's hard disk?
