High ping

I am rlly frustrated right now, because after I got my new laptop with windows 7, my ping has increased from 80 ms to bounce of 120-250 and it hard lagg.

My server in unplayabole, I tried all of these fixes as w7: I tried writing netsh interface tcp set global autotuning = off in cmd, I tried disabling multimedia class Schelduer and none did no change.

Microsoft please come up with a solution.

First thing to check is the driver for your NETWORK card or wireless card.  Make sure that you update and everything (graphics, sound, chipset, etc.) with the latest Windows 7 drivers.  Also you if your system is a year or two old and you upgraded to Windows 7, then you may want to look in BIOS updates as well. Hi jfj64,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

There are several ways to reduce your LAG, one of them is by adjusting your graphics and the sound settings so that the computer does not put as much effort in order to ensure that it is a standard better that they really need to be.

However, it is not only the game settings that are causing this high ping. Today, many of the internet, perhaps from different countries, have connections faster than others. If the majority of players on the server have a connection faster that you, then you will experience lag (they will be faster game speed).

Also, when you join a server, on the list of the browser, it is a good idea/good practice to check the ping to the server (it is described as the latency on the server list). This number is, the speed/quality it will on your computer.

You will never have the quality when playing on internet, as a lot of people come and go, different events in the game occur (which causes the game to freeze for a very small amount of time while the server updates).

The only real way to get rid of it must have a faster connection and check for latency on the server list. Firewall software and hardware is also responsible for some slowdowns on the game. However, these are necessary in order to ensure that your computer remains stable and free from virus.

Lately it has gotten to the point where I can't even watch Netflix or just browse the internet. I'm the only one in my family that this is happening in what all have perfect internet. This happens even when I am the only person on. I already got a new router and that did nothing. I scanned for virus/malware and found nothing. Please help me I take an online school, so I need internet.

    Edit: Here's a ping test, I did.

I fixed it. My mother bought these security cameras this use wifi and they where to take everything the internet so we have just worked to where they are only on when we're not home.

  • Satellite P300-1EX slow (high) ping - card Atheros AR9281 WLan -.

I just bought the laptop above and fight with insanely high during wireless pings.

It is only when connecting via wireless, as when it is connected directly to the router, that is fine.

    TIA.

    Hello

Please check if you are using the latest Atheros WLan driver.
The latest driver can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In addition, you must ensure that you are using the latest version of the BIOS.
See the European driver of Toshiba page and compare the BIOS installed with the BIOS on the Web site.
If there is a newer version then update!

Please also check the properties of card WLan (-WLan card-> properties > Device Manager)
There, you can turn off the option that could affect energy saving WLan functionality

Click with the right button on the prompt in the start menu > all programs > assesories, then click on run as administrator. Type "netsh interface tcp set global autotuning = disabled" without the quotes and press ENTER. now, go to network and sharing Center and go to manage networks on the left side. Right-click on 'Local network connection' and go to properties. Not click on Qos packet scheduler and choose uninstall. You can google two of those to see what they are for, but with tcp auto tuning and qos all removed you will see great improvements. • Latency even when high ping ping localhost

    Hello

Since a few days, maybe a week we are faced with a strange ping latency.

At first, we thought it has something to do with our network equipment, but after a few hours of investigation, we arrive at the following conclusions:

    (1) Pinging VM VM (both hosted on the same host ESXi) lead to an average 1.5 ms > with spikes up to 50ms / 100 pings to the default interval.

    (2) created two virtual machines on a vSwitch separated without a dedicated NIC and tried a ping between them. The result was better but not good enough - average 0.5ms > with spikes up to 3ms and same 10ms

Management interfaces Pinging ESXi 3) other devices on the same LAN has revealed a good ping - average latency around 0.2ms with spikes up to 1.7ms

    (4) peripheral Pinging on the ESXi console itself (from SSH) network showed us a higher latency than expected - medium > 0.6ms with spikes up to 5ms

    (5) the interesting part: ping localhost ESXi console - average > 0.3ms with spikes up to 2-3 ms

We thought it might be an argument/bottleneck somewhere on the ESXi but could not conclude that, not yet at least. The CPU usage is about 65-80% with spikes up to 85% in esxtop. This may be the cause of our problem? Here's an esxtop output:

support process uses much CPU but I have no ideea how to debug this process more away or could be the cause of this.

There is no bottleneck in strangulation/contention on the side network.

    Our installation is quite simple:

An ESXi 5.1.0 build 1065491 running on an old HP DL585 G2 with 8 x Opteron 8218 processors and 64 GB of RAM. The host's link to the rest of the infrastructure through two switches: a gigabit switch for production and accessible from the outside (public IP addresses) and a gigabit to 100 Mbps for internal management using IP addresses private. One NIC is connected to each of these two switches and we use vDS. Two management/VMKernel interfaces - one on the public interface and the internal interface. Virtual machines of the customer are in the same network/LAN with the public management interface, no VLAN.

We use for storage SAN - EMC Clariion CX3-20 - connected to the ESXi Server interrrupteurs 2xBrocade clocked at 4 Gbps.

If someone had similar problems or if you have any ideea what could cause these latencies I would appreciate a little help :)

    Kind regards

    Raul

As mentioned by Jon before your CPU RDY and CSTP % are far too high. I suspect that this could be one of (if not) the main cause. From what I can tell of your dough esxtop, you seem to be run (at least) about 24 vCPUs in an old server with 8 physical CPU cores. As a general rule, you should aim % RDY below 5 per vCPU.

If you can update the hardware or throw in another server to balance the load, then you should reduce the number of vCPUs on your VM. Check this than your VMS really need and adjust the number of vCPUs accordingly.

Of course an update at least a recent release 5.1 does not hurt, but I doubt it will get rid of the high values of time loan CPU if you keep an oversupply vCPUs on this host.

  • Intel 5300 in T400 high Ping problem!

I bought a laptop T400 with a wireless card intel 5300 a few days ago, and I have installed the latest driver from intel which is v12.1.2.1 for 32-bit vista.

I tried ping the gateway of my house, then feedback between 300-500 ms, sometimes going to 900msand sometimes the sound directly outdoors. I also tried to use my other card USB wireless to test this problem on T400, then it was fine, feedback constantly 206ms.

IM using vista 32 bit with SP1, and I tried to reinstall vista as well and test without any software, then same problem.

but, on my other pc, PING feedbacks are very good, constantly 206ms, if someone knows what's the problem? THX

Check your 5300 card power management settings and make sure they are all set for maximum Performance.

  • Windows 8 gives me high ping periodic and consistent spikes every 10 seconds

I'll use the League of Legends for example (but I have confirmed that this problem is not exclusive to LoL, it applies to all internet connections.)

Updated versions of Windows 8, I had 86ping perfectly fine, compatible on windows 7 while playing League of legends.
After the upgrade to windows 8, all 10 seconds or if my ping would be pointing up anywhere between 300-800 ms. It might soar at this time for a little, then fall back down to 86ping front of fortification to new 10 seconds later.
I have a computer running windows 7 with perfectly coherent 86ping on the League without any enrichment, and my computer of windows 8 is still doping.
I can say with confidence that windows 8 has caused this problem somehow, whether directly or indirectly, as evidenced by other complaints people have had about 8 windows and games.

  • Tips of ping high during the game online

original title: very high ping spikes

I recently bought a new computer, with a video processor i7 930 and 2 ATI HD5770 crossfire configuration cards. As my computer is not close to my router, I have an Asus pcie card wireless network that connects me to my router.

At the beginning, everything has worked fine, but after a few days I started to have ping spikes so that in a game. I join a game my ping to around 1500ms +, he would slow down to about 50 and then he would pick up again once every few minutes. I did a ping test to pingtest.net, and it showed that I had 0% packet loss and ping 30ms with 3ms jitter. However, when running games, I am unable to access the internet. The gamesthat I run it and put on trial for this issue, there's left 4 dead 2, team 2, heroes of newerth and Dirt 2 fortress.

I looked for solutions online and there wasn't one on a registry entry for the limitation of network, but that did not solve my problem. I know that it isn't the wireless network because my laptop would be games perfectly fine, without the tips of ping of this magnitude.

Has anyone had the same problem and was able to find a solution for this?

    Hi jchenx85,

You will need to update the firmware of the router by visiting the website of its manufacturer or by contacting the Cisco for more information on the update of the firmware version.

After installing the firmware updated for the router to run the commands below.
    1. Open the command prompt window by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Command Prompt, and then, in the list of results, right-click oncommand prompt and select run as administrator
    2. Type the following command netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled = no = wireless network connection interface and press enter.
    3. Now check if you still have trouble with the tip of ping.

    I hope this helps!

  • Ping wireless high on Alienware 17

    Hi guys,.

I recently bought a new Alienware 17 (The M17x-R5 does not exist. DELL-Chris M), however, im having problem when I use the wireless on the games network connection. There seems to be high ping make it unplayable in most of the games. Ive been looking for solution in the internet and most of the people says it's the wireless card Broadcom 822.11 ca. They said that I could ask the killerwireless instead. Does anyone have a solution to this discrepancy?

    Thank you

Hi have P wood, you tried reinstalling the driver for the wireless card? You can get the better version here. In addition, you can follow this article to determine if the problem is the network or the wireless card.

If I run pingtest.net, I'll get something like 5% packet loss.

ASUS my wife will also have high ping times. Here's the interesting thing: if I disable the wifi on my HP, my wife ping times will be instantly reduced to about 20 ms.

This suggests that there is something that my HP made to slow down the wifi connection.

I tried all the suggestions in the FAQ for this forum (reset the modem, router, computer, other stuff, prevent disabling the ethernet card, etc. of sleep.

If I connect the HP to the router with an ethernet cable, the problem persists, well that sometimes when I log out then, the ping times are fast again (for a while).

I have Suddenlink cable with a router of almond.

It's embarrassing. I would like ideas.

I figured out what was causing it: OneDrive!

I was regularly backup of large files on my OneDrive, and there has been a lot of bandwidth hogging their synchronization in the cloud. He never did, so it is always synchronized. Restart did stop for a while.

Once I got rid of those files on OneDrive, the problem disappeared.

When I copy files smaller for OneDrive, internet performance degradation for a few minutes, until the file is done syncing.

    Hi MarkWhitcroft,

    1. did you this latency for a long time or recently experienced?

    2. the problem occurs with other games?

There are several reasons for you to experience higher than normal latency in games.

I suggest that you install the updated drivers for the network adapter on the computer to the card manufacturer's website and check later to see if it helps.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

This can also occur if the server on which you play is very far away, causing high latency because the information must travel more to reach the server and return.

This can also happen if there is a problem with the internet provider (ISP) and you must contact them for further assistance.

    I hope this helps!
