His PC is choppy / stuttering

I already searched and tried several solutions, but nothing seems to work.

With respect to the problem itself, what happens is that audio from my PC tends to stutter radically for a few seconds, maybe especially when loading web pages or opening of the programs.

I remember having this problem a while after I installed the software PacketiX VPN. I don't remember how I solved this year here.

This problem started after the installation of SP1. I had no problem before that.

I tried the diagnostic thing Fixit, uninstall the drivers, disabling the improvements sound, uninstall PacketiX and its network drivers, have disconnected and reconnected my speakers, basically everything I could find. Nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated!

I would also update video and network drivers. Don't simply check Windows Update, but the site of the manufacturer as well. Tim Baets

  • Playback Choppy/stuttering using airplay

I've recently upgraded to fiber of sky. Download speed is 16 Mbit/s.

I am listening to something from my iPhone to the TV via AirPlay. When I play just on the phone, the quality is perfect. But when I use AirPlay on tv playback is jerky and stutters every two seconds.

Thus, because it diffuses very well directly on the iPhone I think that there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. But there must be a problem with how things are going on television.

I googled and many people have said that WMM disabled in the router has solved this kind of question. But it does not resemble sky allow access to this parameter on the hub of the sky.

I'm stuck. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I assume you are using normal AirPlay, no mirroring the screen. When you AirPlay the video player on your iPhone goes gray, said "this video plays on Apple TV". If this is the case, the URL of the video is handed over to ATV, which streams then directly from the server. So the problem is the speed of download from the server of ATV. Maybe that's a problem with the DNS setting. ATV uses the same DNS as the phone? Normally, this should be the DNS of the internet provider.

If it's a mountain BIKE 4, you can download a test of speed for the quads application and test it directly.

If the ATV is in WiFi, you can try to not WPA, WPA2-AES (CCMP), no TKIP, on the router. This should give a more reliable and faster connection.

In addition, use a 5 GHz network, if possible, to reduce interference from other networks.

  • Deliver the switchable graphics card Windows 8.1

Hi, I had a problem since upgrading to Windows 8.1 with my graphic card on my laptop. I tried to go through the official support, but they were not very useful (I wanted to reinstall windows 7 and stick to it) so I decided to try one last time to repair my laptop here.

I have a HP ENVY Ultrabook 4 - 1053tx http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=en&cc=my&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5285... , which has no windows 8.1 on the site of HP drivers. It came with Windows 7 that I upgraded to 8 (no problems with it).

Since the upgrade to 8.1, I met the following problems:

-Audio is choppy / stutters not bad, which is very annoying when listening to music. I am facing this problem in any media player, I have try and on Youtube/all other Web site. This problem occurs only when the laptop is connected which leads me to think that it is a problem with the 7670 M Radeon HD card or driver. The laptop is on the 'performance' mode when plugged in (i.e. the best graphics) and use the Intel one 4000 when it's on battery power.

-If the laptop goes to sleep / screen saver turns on, I sometimes wake up questions. Sometimes the screen goes black for a few seconds then the office returns, and a box at the bottom on the right say that the Radeon driver handed over a fall.

-J' have a video game installed (Football Manager 2012 through Steam). If the laptop is disconnected, or I put the game specifically to use graphs when it is connected to energy saving, the game loads fine. He tries to open with the Radeon card, it hangs or does not load. This happens every time.

Symptoms make me feel that there is something wrong with the Radeon graphics card or its drivers. I tried to reinstall the intel and drivers radeon (win 8 versions), but it has not solved the problem. I also tried to install the driver to win 8.1 for the 7670M I found here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5371... but it also does not solve the problem.

I tried to reinstall win 7, then upgrade to 8, then the upgrade to 8.1, but which does not either. I am out of resources on this topic. I don't really want to go back to windows 8 as I like the improvements to the 8.1 but these questions (one audio including) are driving me crazy.

Thanks for reading this, I hope that you have any ideas for me. :-)

Well, I think that I found a solution to my problem for a long time. It seems to boil down to a problem with the start program Intel RepID. I changed the mode "acceleration" of "Maximized" by establishing "Enhanced" in it, and so far this has solved the problem! I've been using the laptop plugged in for a little over an hour and no problems so far.

I can't take credit for the difficulty, I stumbled on this thread that had the same symptoms whch pointed only when it is connected, and they thought it was to do with the technology of quick start: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Crackling-sound-while-playing-music-in-HP-SPECTRE-15-4010nr/td-p/2386327/page/5

In any case, thanks for your help @Dindin trying to solve the problem. I hope that this means no more problems with my laptop :-)

Just recently started to use the SG and find it rather irritating. The reading is not playing back at the right speed is a bit slow. The display shows red icon. I've linked pp without effects or lut a project short (3 minutes). Image is of a Sony FS7 (XAVC Long GOP L50 50i) 1920 x 1080 25 fps - Slog3 Cine EI. The Prem Pro project was made and the cache has been cleared. Never had a problem using Prem Pro but SG is simply not playing ball. The disc icon is gray. His property is choppy and I hear some reverberation time - maybe just a problem of latency?

No different when I reduce the resolution of reading. I use the Nvidia card to feed three monitors. NVIDIA drivers are up to date. In the Official Journal, the second monitor is active and I use for my full screen. Disable this place the video in the SG Office makes no difference - icon of the Red monitor - time a little slow what it should as before.

Already my workflow consisted of ranking in Prem Pro - no problem. Resembling SG simply is not worth the hassle. Seem to think so, since the update, that I never had a problem. But if someone has an idea of what it is and if there is a "fix" I'd be grateful.

SpeedGrade does not support the XAVC Sony MXF files. It can bring in files via Prem Pro and as a project Prem Pro, but trying to get in through the Media - no files shown - just a placeholder tab. I can see a few GoPro files and what not, but no (Intra or GOP), MXF MXF XAVC is not on the supported list. Here's my problem. Files put in the media (i.e. files supported) reading very well with the grey of the monitor icon.

SG will not synchronize to MXF files - where the audio glitching. If their importation in the "color" tab forces SG to go 'no sync' where the red icon of monitor and incorrect reading.

Adobe needs to make a statement on this subject. If FS7 users wish to use SG will take you to the proxy or convert a file supported compatible. Although Prem Pro manages the MXF XAVC codec wrappers, SG will not. A little while back you do not have Adobe?

  • Satellite L500-13V - his stutters and sometimes portable lock

His stutters all the other songs when playing music, stuttering sometimes results in the laptop locked up and stuck on the nasal sound. Only way to turn off is to remove the battery. Vista 64-bit installed. Nothing installed other that what came with the laptop.

Must be a driver issue, but no update.
Any ideas before returning for refund?

    Hello!

I checked the Web from Toshiba site and there I found a update the sound card driver. This driver is already installed?
In addition, the Web of Toshiba site shows me updating BIOS for Satellite L500. You should try this update, maybe it works.

Alternative I would try the Realtek audio driver directly. Maybe on the Web from Realtek site, you can find a newer version.

  • 8560w his stuttering during playback of music

    Hi all

I have the EliteBook 8560w for about a month now and noticed his stuttering when you open a new tab in IE/Chrome/Firefox.

Since it is a configuration quad-core with 8 GB of RAM, this seems quite strange.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Configuration information:

    P/N: XX058AV

    CPU: i7 2630QM

    RAM: 8 GB (2 x 4 GB, Slot 1 and 4)

    VGA: ATI over-pants M5950

    HARD DRIVE: WD3200BEKT (320 GB)

Resolved last night; uninstalled ALL preinstalled software HP, but also drivers for networking and graphics (ATI card also has an Audio HDMI output).

I let Windows install its complement of driver network, but replaced the ATI driver with the 8.911.3.1 version available here (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/fire/Pages/fire_hp_win7.aspx).

I have troubleshooted the question using the "DPC latency Checker" available here: http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml.

Read the entire web site, because it offers ideas on how bad drivers can influence the audio and video playback.

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Solution: CD - RW / DVD Rom stutters or has choppy playback

    My computer specs

    Labtop model: Dell Inspiron 5150

DVD ROM: Samsung CDRW / DVD SN - 324B

    Problem

After reformatting my hard drive, my DVD-Rom is more play DVD smoothly. I had the playback choppy or stuttering. I use Intervideo WinDVD. Thinking that WinDVD could be the problem I went to Windows Media Player 10, but instead of reading who stutters, the film played too fast.

The reading was also weird, if I rebooted my computer and used WinDVD immediately, he would run smoothly, but eventually he would return to stuttering. Due to the eccentricity of this work and does not, it was difficult to identify a solution that has worked permanently (this is also the reason why I had edited this post so many times). So, I've listed all of my conclusions and solutions below.

    Solutions

    Difficulty 1

Download the last update of the BIOS from Dell downloads.

Here are the direct links for the Dell Inspiron 5150, I posted the update of WinDVD so. Since April 18. 2008:

    Update to the BIOS: ftp://ftp.dell.com/bios/I5150A38.exe

    Update of WinDVD: ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/app/R62171.EXE

I guess this would work with the other laptop Dell with their respective BIOS updates.

My results: Windows Media Player was playing much too fast, this corrects the problem DVD. However, regarding the choppy playback, I still had some problems.

    Difficulty 2

    Change your power settings.

    1. Open Control Panel
    2. Double-click Power Options
    3. Under the systems tab, select laptop

My results: Combined with the update of the A38 BIOS, it seems to work ok.

    Difficulty 3

It is recommended to make your IDE controllers are in DMA not PIO mode.

Here is a useful link on the Dell Forum, he speaks of the PIO to DMA:

    http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.ID=dim_cdrom&message.ID=144385&query.ID=285841#M144385

    PIO DMA another link:

    http://winhlp.com/node/10

My results: System has already been set to Ultra DMA Mode 2, so this fix did not work for me.

    Level 4:

During choppy playback, I fiddled with the settings of DVD players and was able to play the DVD without problem.

    For Intervideo WinDVD:

    1. Right click on the area of the screen, select Setup
    2. On the Video tab, uncheck the "Use hardware decode acceleration" and uncheck the box "use acceleration hardware color."

I don't remember the exact settings uncheck Windows Media Player 10. But if you want to try this solution with this drive, I can point you in the right direction.

    1. Go to tools > Options
    2. Then click on the performance tab
    3. Under video acceleration, tap Advanced Options

There are options for the video acceleration and DVD video below. "Use Video Mixing Renderer", might be what I unchecked, you'll have to fiddle around for yourself.

My results: Best solution for me, never had a problem since. I use Intervideo WinDVD. The colours become slightly darker; I think they look better. (Note: I installed the new BIOS before that)

  • Satellite A300 - his stutters when I enable Wi - FI turns

    Hello!

I am owner of a Satellite A300, and almost from the beginning, I noticed some occasional stuttering on the sound.

Really got me bugged with this question, and I tried several times to solve. I even got to the point of resetting the default computer. Sooner or later, the same problem started again.
I even started a thread in the media forum, without a solution for the bug. Even if I had a valuable contribution on an antivirus I've tried and I think is quite good, avira.

Let me describe more accurately 'symptoms:

    * I recently discovered, this annoying behavior isn't random.
    * The stuttering is repeated at the minute, all about the same second every minute.
    * This led me to suspect a certain type of hardware/software cyclical behavior.
    * I guessed the laptop components that could have this kind of cyclical 'check' could be wireless equipment, for example, searching for a kind of networks.
    * Immediately, I turned off the switch.
    * Waiting for this ' second marked "happen and to my surprise, the suttering did not.
    * WAIT a few minutes and the situation remained out of any disruption.
    * then I turned the switch back on and within seconds after 4 or 5, the suttering returned and again the minutes that follow, by the same second.
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this problem?
I have to say that sometimes, I am able to have the switch on without problems. In this case (I think) when I start the system with the switch, wait until the system is fully elapsed, turn on the switch and start a had-hoc wifi network that I created on my laptop to share my computer with a dsl connection laptop here at home.

But right now, I booted the system with incidentally on switch (even got stuttering on the welcoming sound of windows) and in this session, I was not able to maintain the switch without the "bug", again. Even if I activate the had-hoc wifi network (i.e. activation worked on other times), I can't get the stuttering sound, without having to press the switch.

    See you soon!

    Hello

What are you writing about? Your laptop starts with windows media player playback music or how to understand this?

I have Satellite A300-1LI in front of me, and I tested it with Vista preinstalled original. Work on my Satellite I like listening to music or simply Internet radio. I can switch on / off WIFI, but there is no difference. Absolutely no sound stuttering.

Believe me, that's not easy to say why this happens. I do not understand why you write about the bug. Why my laptop doesn t have the same bug that your?

This happens when you only use the WLAN switch or when you use the FN + F8 key combination too?

  • His skips or stutters in my Satellite A300-1IY

I own a Satellite A300-1IY, for 18 days. A few days ago I noticed that the sound stutters frequently. This happens with all media players. I used to have a similar problem with another pc. The difference here is that, with this A300-1IY, the problem persists. With the other pc I got the same anti-virus (avast) and the problem seems to occur when the updated anti-virus database. With the Satellite, I also have other security software that I did not on the other pc. Although I do not know this problem of stuttering has started after the installation of all software of this protection, it is certainly worsened after that.

The list of software protection is:

Comodo Firewall, Comodo Firewall memory, Comodo Anti-Malware Protection, Avast antivirus.

Windows Vista Home premium (32 bit) with windows defender and windows firewall active.

There are reports that the foregoing may cause this disruptive and continuous?

Is there a software more suited to perform the same protection? It's a freeware?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I can not believe this happen on the first day, especially if the laptop is preinstalled with recovery image Toshiba (factory settings), but I guess it has something to do with the additional software installed.

In any case, I recommend you to use the fantastic Avira antivir. It works well in the background and doesn't need a lot of resources. Check it out - http://www.free-av.de/en/index.html

  • His stutters on Pavilion dv4-1120us

I had my Pavilion dv4 1120us for Christmas and put it in place. It is under Vista Home premium with SP1. I noticed that from time to time during sound playback slows and stutters for a few seconds and then the catch usually upward. He made cela hung together through its speakers and external speakers. The condition seems insensitive to changes in devices. I noticed that no special request is responsible for either. It occurred when streamming myspace and playlist.com, when watching a dvd in both media center, wmp and VLC, windows included during playback of CD and by practicing a game (total annihilation). I also noticed that the problem persisted even when I extracted decrease the number of processes ranging from 80 to 60 something.
I thought that the problem may lie simply in Vista and the bloat-ware that came on the computer. Today I inistalled dual-boot ubuntu and the problem is ongoing, as well as the headphone jack and speakers single switch with Vista (I think it's just a driver issue...), I would like to know how to solve the problem at least with Vista and with linux so would be good. • 6735 s his stuttering, high DPC latency

    6735 s aged 8 months.

A month ago I started to notice the audio stuttering in video to download websites such as youtube. The problem tends to appear after about an hour of computer use / navigation. Recently, however it has started to affect the mpg and mp3 files played locally on my hard drive. The problem is much worse that a download is in progress (i.e. any download, the media files not only). I ran a DPC latency checker that I found on the web and I found that when I'm browsing or downloading files DPC latency goes through the roof.

About a week before I first noticed this problem I have updated graphics drivers from ATI (Catalyst v9.8, then recently v9.10), so I think it has something to do with it.

I tried to disable the WIFI / network cards, bluetooth, USB, CDROM drive, ATI drivers uninstall audio drivers, firewall, antivirus, killing all the processes that are unnecessary in the Manager of tasks etc. Only a reboot will solve the problem (for an hour or two before returning)

Does anyone else have this problem? It drives me nuts having to restart my computer for all hours.

Update: turns out the culprit being the ZoneAlarm firewall. I had heard of people having problems with the COMODO firewall, so I tried to uninstall ZoneAlarm and all is well again. Note must be a uninstall complete, just disable or turn off ZoneAlarm was not enough.

    See you soon.

  • His intermittent stuttering in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Hello!

I have known an intermittent sound stuttering and hesitation since doing a clean installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It is a new gateway machine.
I did some research autour to see if anyone else has problems like this, and apparently, they usually have a driver problem... Although all my drivers are up to date as far as I can tell. No problem there, it seems. I want to be able to exclude a software problem, mainly because before I did the clean install I installed a new power supply and to reconnect everything in-house.
    Anyway... Here's what I notice;
It seems to happen most often when I try to plug the headphones into the front audio jack.
The slider also stutters when does music.
I ran a check for latency and I sometimes get red spikes.
If you guys need more information I can provide.
    Thank you.

Turn off all equipment with wireless (wi fi and blue tooth). They are what cause spikes of latency. Their Services the manual value and then stop them.

What is the name and the exact model of your gateway machine number?
    See you soon,.
