Home network <>- VPN <>- PC abroad

Hello

I was able to create a VPN tunnel between 2 routers (https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2060993),

now, my next exercise is to a router that is able to have VPN and the Internet I can access my home network with CISCO IPsec on my MACBOOK PRO.

But before going so far, I've tried:

C1841 (IP192.168.10.1) MAIN ROUTER-> INT F0/0(DHCP IP192.168.10.7) C2610XM (IP172.16.1.1) INT S0 / 0-> VPN-> INT S0/0 C2610XM (IP172.16.1.2)--> (IP10.0.1.2) PRO, MACBOOK

With my MACBOOK PRO, I am able to ping 192.168.10.7 and even the IP address of the ROUTER PRINCIPAL 192.168.10.1, but I'm not able to ping 8.8.8.8 (GOOGLE DNS SERVER)

How do I put in my script?

To avoid post again, you can see the script in a previous treat: https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2060993

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards

Didier

In the ACL list for interesting traffic on both ends, you must define 192.168.10.0/24 and 10.0.1.0/24 (looks like you already, but it is not

display on the configurations of the other position).

In addition, the main router (192.168.10.1) must have either a default gateway pointing to the 2610, or at least a route for the VPN traffic.

That is to say

IP route 10.0.1.0 255.255.255.0 x.x.x.x

x.x.x.x should be the 2610 to the main router interface.

In addition, no ACL to block this traffic on the main router or 2610 s.

  • I can connect to the internet, but not to my home network

I have a PC running Windows XP SP3, which is connected to a Linksys WRT300N router. I have access to the internet. I can not connect to my home network; don't know what happened. all (3) computers are set to the same workgroup name. I can't find anywhere in the network settings for WinXP that relates my network name. Help!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    John

I guess that the other two computers are working properly and that it can network together and that the only problem is the XP machine.  I'm also assuming that this problem persists when the firewall was disabled (including hidden like the one in the Cisco VPN client).  I also assume you mean by "is no longer connect to my home network" that you can't see other computers in your network neighborhood. See if this article helps you:

  • Can I use 2 routers on my home network?

Can I use 2 routers on my home network? I have a modem/router combo Xfinity but my Airport extreme must be a router that is better than what came with the Xfinity plan. I was told you can use 2 routers for various computers (iPhone, iPad, iMac, etc) and choose the one that gives the best range and result.

Do you use a separator line and then to the cable connection? Or would I connect the Airport Extreme in the router/modem by an Ethernet cable Xfinity? In any case, what has worked for you, assistants out there?

    JIM

Do not use 2 routers, they will conflict (without careful configuration) and even when they are not there is nothing to be gained by.

  • Why Firefox Sync does not work on my home network, but at work?

Firefox Sync on my laptop does not work when my laptop is connected to my home network, but for example if I'm at my desk.

The internet connection in my house is fine, I can surf the web with this same Firefox on IPv4 and IPv6, DNS etc. also works. Connection to accounts.firefox.com works also, as Firefox for the sync account. Only the synchronization process runs aground. On my desktop at home, I have exactly the same problems. When I open https://sync-209-us-west-2.sync.services.mozilla.com/ in a browser tab, I see a confirmation message that synchronization runs on this server, so apparently the network path between my computer and this server is free.

After investigation with Wireshark, I see the TLS negotiation successfully, then packages the client was able to respond and after some time, the server closes the connection (encrypted alert). Apparently, no content is transferred between the client and the server. I have attached a screenshot of how Wireshark sees the conversation between the server and the client (sending pictures here did not work so I put on the web: http://ibin.co/1zXABHKdj5mA).

To exclude a possible configuration problem or bad module, I created a clean Firefox profile and logged into my account in Firefox, but this shows exactly the same problems.

Fun fact: Firefox on my Android phone will sync on my home network.

Below, I will link two logs, a successful synchronization (corporate network) and a synchronization failed (home network):
    Sync @ Office: http://pastebin.com/rZmfrbdL
    Sync @ home: http://pastebin.com/a3KUCevJ

The problem seems to be with your ISP - you can refer to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1118958 and they may be able to find a workaround by changing your diet or to help you configure a different MTU for the network.

    I hope this helps.

  • A certain website says 'server not found' on the home network, but public wifi site loads.

I'm trying to access a secure site to my online school. At home, my desktop computer and my lap top came up with "Cannot find server" page on trying to connect. ALL other sites work fine. Public wifi in a cafeteria, the site works very well. I asked my school on this subject and have said I'm talking to my ISP (Qwest). I did, and they were not able to give me a solution and referred me to my school IT Department. I know this isn't a problem with the site of the school, because it worked well on a different network. I also tried to load the site Web of Chrome and IE, and none of them will not let me connect to the site on my home network.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Too bad! I thought of it on mine. I had to change the DNS settings from my service provider to a third party.

  • Sudden home networking issues

Product name: Macbook Pro 13 inch Retina early 2015.

OS (when the problem started): Yosemite 10.10.5

    OS (now): El Capitan 10.11.5

    The problem

So yesterday my Mac Wifi connection dropped suddenly. So, I moved to lightning Ethernet connection which has varied between does not and VERY slow, almost unusable. I work from home online, so the last 2 days I was not able to do anything.

I can connect to Wifi, Mac said Internet: accessible. I can ping. But can not browse and other tools such as Google Drive and Dropbox are unable to connect.

So far, this would indicate a problem with my network or my router, rather than my right to the machine? However, my Android phone works fine with Wifi.

    Things I've tried:

I've been on Yosemite 10.10.5. I followed all the troubleshooting steps basis and the following:

    • Reset my SMC.
    • Reset my PRAM.
    • I turned off the Bluetooth.
    • I deleted the files in Network preferences to reset a reboot.
    • I "forgot" my home network to reset it like that.
    • Running reports "wireless diagnosis" everything is "as planned."
    • Attach to the Wireless on my Android Nexus 5 X hotspot. Connects to the Wifi but not Internet after 10 seconds. Sometimes not at all.

Then, I took a backup and upgrade to El Capitan. The strange thing is, about an hour after the upgrade, my ethernet cable was working fine again! About 14:00 yesterday at 09:00 today when I turned on it to start working.

NOTE: I connect to the network fine, and Google Drive and Dropbox plugins start synchronization. Full report 'sync', then, after about 10 seconds, they say "unable to connect". Holding "option/alt" and clicking on the Wifi symbol in the toolbar says "Internet: accessible. Indeed, I can 'ping' very well. There is no loss of data packets. So could it be a software on my machine which has suddenly become crazy and prevents connections other than the pings? I have run Avast Anti-virus, but which has worked for months and is running as I type this. Similar posts often get answers their questions about firewalls and proxies that might cause the problem. I only have Avast.

    Affirmations:

If it was a problem with my router, my phone would not have a problem too?

If it's a problem with my Mac, why would Internet suddenly started working again after a while?

I write this in a coffee shop, using their Wifi and it works fine. I don't have whatever it is off on my machine. Yet once, which suggests a problem with my network rather than the phone.

Is this something that could be fixed to an Apple Store? As I suspected, it works very well to the coffee then probably it would work fine in the Apple store and they don't know what to do.

I thought only try you geniuses first!

    Thanks in advance.

It is very difficult to debug an Internet without Internet problem.

First of all uninstall AVAST from the system. then open system preferences > network > enter your network > what is place please do as automatic. What, the other DNS settings, preferred networks etc please post.

  • Can't view the YouTube video because there is an active filter. It happens on the job and home networks and only on Firefox (15.0.1).

After update 15.0.1 Firefox and Adobe Flash Player to 11.4, I was unable to view the media from YouTube. I was given a message: "this video is not available with the filter of education allowed.» To view this video, site network administrator will have to add to a playlist. I work for a school district and use my laptop at work so I thought that I got this message because YouTube is blocked on this network. But when I got home, I got the same message on my home network with YouTube videos. I have reset Firefox and he took care of the issue until I'm at work, and the problem happened again with the same message everywhere... I tried to post the same videos on another browser (Safari) and it works beautifully. I'm afraid that if I reset Firefox even once, I'm having the same problem.

It is possible that YouTube set a cookie to filter which can still be seen when you connect at home. To clear cookies for youtube.com, you can use one of these:

    (1) 'dialog show Cookies' tab in Preferences/Privacy:

Firefox > Preferences > privacy > 'view the Cookies '.

Type yout in the search box at the top to filter the list and remove each cookie individually.

    (2) "view Cookies dialog box" in the Page Info/Security tab:

While displaying a page on the site-

Tools > Page Info > Security > 'view the Cookies '.

    -remove each cookie individually.

Then, try to reload the page and see if Youtube behaves differently.

  • Need to understand my situation of home network

    Hello

I'm having a little problem, trying to figure out how to delegate my home network since I started working out of the House. I have only the internet (100 Mbps) with no cable so I spread all my shows across various applications on two smart TVs. I also have a 7 year old who plays xbox live, I have a few home automation (6 lights shades phillips, iHome 3 caps, bolt dormant Schlage, Canary camera and Ecobee Thermostat with 3 sensors) 3 iPads, 2 iPhones, AppleTV 2, 1 macbook pro, 1 desktop and 1 iMac. For now, I have the newest Airport Extreme connected to my modem with shades phillips, Samsung Smart TV switch and and an Airport Express (Bridge Mode) point. I have the CANARIE camera and an Apple TV connected to the express. In the House, I have another Airport Express station I have my Sony Smart TV hooked up to the Wan which is hidden (I'm the only person who uses it for my iPhone). I also have one of the Apple TV hooked up to it. In the children's room, he has the Xbox one hooked and video streaming or playing games. I always know when he's on the Xbox because of the latency in the living room TV (The Samsung) or the desktop.

My House is small enough, 950 square feet, brick ranch-style house. The bottom is being renovated to become half of my office. I see if I can do something to speed up my internet. Currently, I only shoot in, 50 MB/s, when I should be around 70 or more.

I was looking for the Netgear router Nighthawk or a Linksys router and using the Airport Extreme as a switch. I have my office just now set up in the living room and I think move the modem to my office (10 feet away from its present location) so I can have my phone/fax VOIP hooked up to the modem and then have my desktop connected directly to the router using an ethernet cable.

I'm trying to understand it and it has been bothering me a lot, someone of you have an idea of what would be best implemented?

Thank you very much I appreciate your help and your time.

    Ethernet is always better.

If you are renovating the GET home ethernet installed in the walls and several points around the House... you will be amazed at the difference.

For wireless use never repeat... but you can use multiple wireless access Points. (installation of apple routers for the wireless is just fine).

I was looking for the Netgear router Nighthawk or a Linksys router

These will have a wireless range superior cf Apple... but still, you don't want to extend wireless... If the signal is not good enough... and when you have a lot of walls of brick which is very likely to happen... then have another WAP and ethernet.

Read the basic how to have good wireless everywhere in a House...

    Entire home wireless.

  • Is there an equivalent to Firefox Sync method that can be used to synchronize Firefox on three computers connected to the same home network?

I would like to be able to sync settings between three computers on my home network without having to go on the internet and put everything on a remote server. Computers can already communicate with each other and share, then there should be an easy way to ensure that Firefox data sync would be also.

    Hello

    Please see this.

    Support

Another way would be to do it manually by using another application, for example. SyncToy, creating the correct pairings between the data on the PC.

    Using SyncToy

Firefox stores your personal data in a place known as the Firefox profile folder separate from its installation folder/files. The extensions folder Addons, although some addons may store additional data in the profile of top-level folder, extensions.ini and extensions.sqlite has the info of addons, places.sqlite holds the bookmarks and history, the prefs.js has Preferences, signons3.txt + signons.sqlite files are needed for the passwords and finally sessionstore.js for tabs.

  • I am not able to connect Stor-E for the other computers on my home network

I just bought a Stor-E but I can't connect to other computers on my home network which I think is a Netgear router which is connected to my BT home hub.

I can access the stor-e of my laptop and pc, but cannot access the Stor-E when I go to the working groups then on my PC it calls for a Net User ID and password have tried my user id and password for my pc but this doesn t seem to work.

  • Tecra A10 - refurbished - cannot get it connected to my home network

I just got this Tecra A10-104 refurbished Laptop... before I take this back I ask here in case where theres something I missed as I am unable to get it connected to my home network.

I use a Belkin wireless router that has 2 main (LAN) directly connected PC and another PC connected wireless.
    It's my router: http://www.belkin.com/uk/support/article/?lid=enu&pid=F5D8233uk4&aid=9238&scid=0

All PC connected and fine work.
Now I'm setting up this laptop to connect.

I uninstalled the Vista Business and ussed the product recovery disc that came with the Tecra XP Pro.

Is my wireless card: Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 5100 (pilot Date: 27/04/2008 - the driver Version: 12.0.0.73)

He sees the network, but no matter what I try just does not connect.

What I've done so far (read before suggesting things I've already tried):

Reconfigured routers WPS to the shared key system.

Ensured that the wireless adapter's parameters defined at 20 / 40 Hz (automatic)

Restarted the router, cable modem & laptop several times

Laptop wireless button is turned on.

FN + F8 to activate BLUETOOTH WIFI (ON) (OFF)

Wireless network added to settings Auto Connect with the end SSID and password encryption method.

Click on connect when network appear in the revamped network and Password Viewer dialog.

    Does not.

I would add that the laptop has no problem connecting via its Gigabit LAN port.

    Something else I'm missing?

    Thanks in advance.

    EDIT: Double post deleted.

    UPDATE:

The next thing I tried was to reinstall Vista Professional recovery disk to see if it has suffered from the same problem.

Wireless has worked under Vista, and despite the updates I was offered, worked without having to update all the drivers.

This got me thinking... so the question is probably DRIVER XP related.
What I've done now is to back up all the updates driver told me to download TEMPRO (BIOS & Manager wireless updates included).

I think part of the problem is that only TEMPRO works under Vista (not XP) so you are not informed of any updates may be required if you upgrade to XP directly after the purchase (which is what I did).
