• I can't with all of the built-in Windows Media Player having sites. If I go to a page with a Webcam that uses Windows Mwdia, the player does not even appear. Any ideas?

  With all my other browsers, thia is not a problem, including Firefox 3.6. For example, this http://www.liveduvalstreet.com/ page in all browsers except Firefox 4. Because of this issue, I have reverrted to 3.6 until I can find a solution. I tested this page in Chrome, Maxthon 2 and 3, Internet explorer 8 and Firefox 3.6 with no problems at all. This is just one example of site. All sites with the built-in player will not work.

To disable all add-ons & allowing one by one, I finally discovered that "Plugin RealPlayer browser Record" "blocking" all games embedded wmv. This extension has been installed automatically when I installed FF4. And I don't have the option to uninstall

  We run OpenManage Essentials (OME) v2.0.1.2222 in a Windows domain. I have a Windows 2008 Server PowerEdge R420 and have added the server (only SNMP) and the DRAC (SNMP and WS - MAN) to the discovery and inventory. After a short time the two appear in the tree view of the devices. They both have the green check mark. The DRAC reports correctly with the service tag and model number, etc, but the server does not (review by n/a report model, but there is always a green check mark). I put the last OMSA (7.4.0), removed/re-added the server and DRAC of OME. The Dell troubleshooting tool (v3.4.2) does not report errors when querying the server using SNMP, or the DRAC with SNMP & WS - Man. Am I missing something?

  I would go ahead and remove from the list which is s. o. OME must remove the old entries to avoid duplication, but it seems that it didn't in this case. I remove all erroneous entries and let him perform a discovery/inventory again. All that he is unable to inventory, try inventory manually the item via right click.

  Just an info, Windows 7 is not a host VMware Ace/Workstation 6 operating system.  Also why do you install 6.0.0 vs install 6.0.5?

  Have you tried to manually set DNS servers to no known public IP address just leave it to the private IP address that you have shown by default?

  After installing a virus (Avast) in Guest XP64 auditor in Vista 64 host and using NAT, I was wondering if the host has been looking for the virus before it past internet data to the customer?  This would make unnecessary the use of a virus checker in exercising of rose-> comments.  I doubt it, but it seems worth asking.  Thank you.

  I've seen this problem before, hosts with the firewall or anti virus windows will not respond to any other host that is not on their Local network.

  Customer think usually it is a question of ASA, but as soon as we set up a NAT (OUTSIDE) 10 your_public_ip

  Global (inside) 10 interface;   We can see how it works because the server will now receive the packets of the SAA within the interface

  I ran into something really puzzled. I have windows 7 host machine and two VM. Ubuntu 11.04 is one the other is RHEL7. The fundamental problem is that, since my host machine, I see an Ubuntu apache server and I do not see the server apache RHEL5.8.

  Details. I'm running 8.04 vmware and have reinstalled vmware-tools on every machine after the upgrade. I'm running an internal NAT. The host IP is 192.168.2.1. The Ubuntu IP is 192.168.2.128. RHEL 192.168.2.129. The problem is between the host and the 192.168.2.129 box of RHEL. What's weird, is that I do not see my server apache RHEL host, but of the terminals on both boxes, I can ping another machine by IP address and since I edit/etc/hosts(buried in c:\windows\system32\drivers) I can ping between host and guest by the url "myapp.local" as well. The period of INVESTIGATION were determined by ipconfig and ifconfig on the host and the guest respectively. I watched netstat on the client and do not seem to have anything httpd listens on port 80 on the guest. I'm really at a loss. The Ubuntu box configured the same way works, but the RHEL box fails.

  I don't know if I listed everything that could be of use here, but if someone could chime in with ideas I would appreciate it. In brief

  (1) ifconfig shows URL

  (2) pings may be

  (3) dns is defined in/etc/hosts

  (4) proxy ignore is set in firefox on the host and the proxy reviews configuration to avoid transmission by proxy problems

  (5) web page expires, the server is invisible

  (6) newspapers on the comment server don't watch not demand of the host being considered.

  Based on what you said in the OP I would say that you need to properly configure your firewall on the client to allow WWW (HTTP).  If not that something is still not set up correctly and very probably not really a question of VMware.

• Using DHCP from the server, no VMware

  I put in place 2003 server, DNS and DHCP on my first virtual machine.  I want my second virtual machine (windows xp) to get its IP address from the first machine, through DHCP.  Ive read the manual, but I'm just simply do not understand how VMware's DHCP and the network mapping.  Its a bit much to wrap around my head.  Can someone point me in the right direction here?

  How can I know which machines are using what VMnets?  Expected each machine use bridged connection?

  If you bridge then the guests need to have unique IP addresses on the same subnet as the NETWORK card on the host on which they are bridged to. There shouldn't be any provided VMware DHCP on the interface that is connected by a bridge, only NAT and host-only. If you want Internet connectivity, so you can use bridged or NAT. shouldn't have problem with bridged and have your own DHCP server - works fine for me without any special configuration. If you do an "ipconfig/all" in the comments, where it becomes an IP address? Note that your DHCP server is obviously going to have to have a fixed IP address in the range of 192.168.1.x.

  There might be times, however, when you want to read the content that is compressed with a codec that does not include Windows or the default player. In many cases, you can download the necessary codec on the web for free or for a fee. And, in some cases, the player can automatically use the codecs installed by other reading programs and the creation of digital media on your computer.

  You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

  1. the file type is supported by the drive, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

  I don't have whatever it is configured with the option "host key.

  I googled and searched, but cannot find references limited to the "Host key" command within Cisco. I tried various forms of it on the ISE node with no luck.

  I tried an FTP transfer, but it does not work.

  Any ideas?

  You can try to add a repository to your local configuration as an sftp server that should start the process host key.
