How do newtab - subject: vacuum?

I think what I did before was looking in all: config to 'browser.newtab.url '; but that no longer exists.

In Firefox 41 the pref browser.newtab.url disappeared. This pref was abused by malware so frequently that Mozilla has decided to remove this pref to eliminate this kind of diversion.
You will need an extension like this one to restore.
https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

Or to have your home page as the new tab page, try this extension.
https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage/

If you are using Classic theme restaurateur, go in the CTR options > tabs (1) article and set your preference for the new tab URL here.

For Super Start , you can use the topic: superstart page.

  • When I open one bookmark another subject: vacuum opens with her.

Since the new Firefox, I have a big problem.
When I open a bookmark, then it instantly opens a topic: empty a site with it.
So, for example, I have google as my home page and want to open facebook (bookmark) and then another page (subject: empty) appear in the tabs.
I have therefore 3 tabs open.
    1 Google
    2 Facebook
    3. about: white

I want to disable only the words: white page also lights

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
  • Vista file management - how to remove a vacuum 'briefcase '?

Hi, I recently had to return to the default OS and have had some data restored through Dell DataSafe online. As a result, however, there are often several versions of the same document, jpeg etc on my users directory. From Office created documents, I am trying to organize the storage and access but keep experiencing problems during the name change, movement and - basically - deletion unnecessary. It tells me that I can't remove it because it's open, fior example. There is a particular case 'towel-style', and even if it is empty I can just get rid of it. It's my home PC, so I am the only user and therefore must have full administrator rights (although I admit looking for the funcutionality of the UAC in Vista to be rather intuitive). I need to understand where I am going wrong before I try to manage the storage of photos and music. Any guidance welcome. Thank you

To check if your username is an administrator, go to start / Control Panel / / user accounts and check the information under your name - it will tell you if you are an administrator or not.

Try to use one of the following free products to remove the file/folder.  Unlocker to: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml or file Assassin (works only on files, not folders), http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/). These programs often work when normal functions remove Vista not work correctly.

It may be a simple permission problem.  Give yourself full rights and perhaps even take possession of all the records and files (and folders parents perhaps) that you are handling.  Here are some tips on taking ownership and permissions:

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to add a vacuum/return line!

It seems so simple, and yet I don't find a way to do this in adobe acrobat!

All I want to do is stick a blank line in the pdf file, a return. At present, the text reads like this?

    'jskdbvjkls\bvj\s '.

    skjfdbvjkashbvgkj

    askjfnvlkasjnvskjdn ".

    akfgnvlkasfdnvgkangfdhnsdfgnsfgmnsfmjndfhmjdgfhmjgfhm

I would like that it reads like this:

    'jskdbvjkls\bvj\s '.

    skjfdbvjkashbvgkj

    askjfnvlkasjnvskjdn ".

    akfgnvlkasfdnvgkangfhmxfhgmnxfhmxgfhmgfxhmghmghm

The small text is a poem (in the middle of some prose) and I would like that there is a space between the end of the poem and the beginning of the explanation. However, each of them seems to be inside different boxes (?) and if I press return to create an empty line, the last line of the poem overlaps the first line of the prose. I have had trouble with this for centuries, but cannot find a way to do it. Can someone put me against this incredibly annoying frustration?

This type of installation should not be run in the PDF file.  You must change the

original file and then create a new PDF.

If you can't do this then either export it or try to move all text

'boxes' to see you. There's no other way to do it.

Now when I tap on: newtab in the awesome bar I get a page called subject: topic... and I don't want that. How can I get my pinned sites on my new tab page?

Open a new window or tab. In the address bar, type Subject: config.

That's where Firefox considers the information he should run.

    Subject: vacuum (a blank page),

or you can enter any web page or Subject: page you want.

The pref browser.newtab.url is no longer supported in Firefox (41 +), so it is no longer possible to put the new tab through this preference page.

You can watch this extension to set the new tab page:

You can set the new tab URL via Options/preferences of the extension on the subject: addons page.

You can watch this extension if you use the home page as the new tab page.

Restorer of classic theme includes this feature as well.
In current versions of CTR (1.3.9+), you will find "the Url of the page new tab ' in the section tabs (1).

You can use pages like these:

    • the new default tab with the tiles page is on: newtab
    • the default homepage is Subject: Home
    • for a blank use Subject: vacuum
    • for a Super Start use topic: superstart
    • Use the URL of a web page

See the topic: on page for available on the pages.

your image shows on: newtab and not ' subject: vacuum "as jscher2000 has suggested to you. preference to the subject: config you were reference is no longer supported in firefox 41, this is probably where the confusion comes from.

  • I want to set the default url of all new additional tabs I have open - how please?

When I'm already browing and I choose to open a new tab opens on the Yahoo search engine, and I don't see how to change this. I want to open with google.co.uk. The first page is the default in Firefox and it works very well - it's just the extra legs that are the problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You can watch the pref browser.newtab.url the topic: config page and set this pref to the URL of your preferred the new tab page.

    • the new default tab with the tiles page is on: newtab

The pref browser.newtabpage.enabled must be set to true to use the page defined through browser.newtab.url like the new tab page.

  • How to stay with a clear new tab and not the search page of Yahoo every time?

Years, I used Firefox with claire of new tabs and achieved this in the menu Options, general tab, display an empty Page - and the next line, remains empty. This has always worked, so far. Today, each new tab navigation takes me directly to the Yahoo Search page, which I certainly don't want.

So, still today, I then passed to the 'Search' tab (in the Options menu) and removed all search engines from the list, including the option checked "Yahoo." However, each new tab again takes me to a "Yahoo" search page

How can I stop this now and forever?

I look forward to your solution.

Thanks a lot for your help, Mark.
