How to burn the CD of backup recovery

Hello:

I have Vista and lost the user guide. I would like to know how I can burn backup CD recovery now. I think I need to reinstall the operating system in the future and do need the recovery CD and instructions on the way of recovering your system via CD and factory default.

Please give me some advice.

Thank you

Dan

I don t know what model of laptop you have exactly, but the s user manual can be downloaded from http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_manuals.jsp

If you want to learn more about the creation of recovery media inform us on the exact model laptop and display all relevant information.

    Hello

You can burn and create the own Vista recovery DVDs using Toshiba recovery disc creator software.
It s preinstalled on your laptop.

Please check the desktop shortcuts or folder on the C:\ Program Files

The Toshiba recovery disc creator will burn the image of Toshiba.
I also recommend the use of DVD-R discs, some people have an error message when burning because of DVD disc is not compatible.

  • Satellite L670-143 how to get the language selection during recovery?

    Hello

I just started my L670 for the first time today, I'm Dutch speaking so I chose "Dutch" (Nederlands) as the language of the interface for my Win7 installation. Shortly after installation, I noticed that the usual folders that I have on my main PC (English) were not there,

    instead of the file * / Users / * we created a folder * / Gebruikers / *.

Because I like to copy a lot of files / preferences of applications from my main PC to the laptop and I'm not comfortable with the Dutch interface, I would like to also the English interface.
For this purpose, I decided to do the system restore to choose English as the main language just as it is on my main PC, taking * 0 * when starting, select F8, click the method of complete recovery from Toshiba, but now I can no longer choose between * Dutch/French/English * as the language of the main interface and it installs automatically with the Dutch language.

How can I do the complete factory restore then I have the choice of the language back, so I can install English please?

Please, if anyone knows how I can get back the language selection of interface with the Toshiba recovery method?

    Hello

As far as I know, you can choose the language of the system only once at the start of the laptop for the first time.

I think this laptop model was launched in three different countries and that's why you can choose your preferred language for the first time. After that, the selected language will still be available on the HARD disk, but other languages would be disabled.

Maybe you can order a disk recovery in English from here:

  • How to remove the windows vista backup

I have 2 drives, C: (69.2 GB) all system files. D: (65.7 GB) a backup & my data. I want to install a new s/w of 12 GB in D:, but its low memory(10.5MB) showing. I tried to delete the backup, but his does not work. I tried diskcleanup, but still the same problem persists. I checked, there isn't any extra file to D:. It's just because of the backup. Can someone please tell me, how to remove the full backup.

    Hi kisna234567,

    ·         You get the error message?

The main objective of the Windows backup and Restore Center is to save the data either automatically in according to the schedule or manually when you want to save data. It is not designed to replace the old data with the new data. Just backup and Restore Center totals with new data every time, and would not remove the old files.

You can backup the old files and folders to storage device as the external hard drive, CD, DVD, USB flash drives and removes the backup files of the computer. You can format the backup partition.

    Caution:

    ·         Formatting a volume will destroy all data on the partition. Be sure to make backups of all the data to save before you begin.

    ·         You cannot format a disk or partition that is currently in use, including the partition that contains Windows.

    ·         Quick format is a formatting option that creates a new file table, but do not completely overwrite or erase the volume. A quick format is much faster than a normal format, which fully erases the existing data on the volume.

    Follow these steps:

    (a) open computer management by clicking the Start button, select Control Panel, click system and Maintenance, click Administrative Toolsand then double-click computer management. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (b) in the Navigation pane, under storage, click disk management.

    (c) right click on the volume that you want to format, and then click format.

    (d) to format the volume with the default settings, in the format dialog box, click OK, and then click OK again.

For reference: create and format a hard disk partition.

  • PowerCLI 5.5 R2 and SRM - how to check the status of a Recovery Plan?

I need to write a script that will examine the current status (apparently called a "RunMode") of a Recovery Plan, is the appropriate status (1 = Test, 3 = cleaning), then get a list of all virtual machines in a suitable specific folder and they will light up (wait 15 seconds between move them on to the next). There are reasons why the Recovery Plan cannot be responsible to do, so why do I need to write a script (the reasons have nothing to do with PowerCLI). And I have problems with the first part, determination of status.

I have this (I won pretty well most of this pure and simple of the blog of Ken Werneburg. Thank you, Ken!) :

    $SRM_API = $SRM. ExtensionData

(My plan is #2, others their test plans. I checked this by looking at the name of each plan. And all the good things I want is in this 'moref,"apparently...)

    $HistoryMoRef = $SRM_API. Recovery.GetHistory ($PlanMoRef)

And I can't seem to do. «$HistoryMoRef.GetRecoveryResult (1).» RunMode"is empty return. I don't know how it is that the value of "CleanupTest".

Well, I managed to reproduce the problem and to understand what might happen.

First the error "you can not call a method on an expression evaluated to null." seems to be linked to the "Write-Output"PG ="$pg" line. When I remove the error to go away (I'm not a person of PowerShell so don't know why this is the case).

The second error (not not being filled seems to be linked to how they make the connection virtual computers SRM.) Specifically, you will need to establish the connection of VC and then do SRM login without specifying the SRM server, let that be determined by searching the SRM recorded with the VC you are connected to.

The following code worked in my environment when it is connected to the protected so site full of hope that it will work for you as well:

    SE connect-VIServer-Server $protectedSiteVC - user $user-password $pass

    Connect-SrmServer-user $user-password $pass

    $output. VmName = $_. Vm.Name

    $output. PgName = $pg. GetInfo(). Name

  • How to burn the disc on a DVD menu?

Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 - Windows Vista 64-bit

I modified my video then insert chapter markers. I chose a disc menu and made some adjustments. Everything works fine when I click on "Preview" - can I choose different scenes, "my" music plays in the background, everything seems like I want. When I "Burns" the disc on my drive hard or on a DVD I have a "chunk" of (edited) video - no chapter marker and NO menu at all.

I removed Nero from my computer because someone said it might conflict. I have installed/uninstalled PRE7 twice. The problem persists.

    Please notify. Thank you. Val

Ok. Burning to disc is done, but I still don't see a video with a menu that I can play on my computer.

In My Documents, I have a new folder with a long number as its name. Inside there are two folders more: OpenDVD and VIDEO_TS. (Yay!)

    -----------

Well, at least, we have made some progress. I finally managed to several output files. It's a good thing, right? They are the appropriate files, I need to burn a paper copy? Can I burn a copy printed directly from PRE7?

Have been able to burn to the disc that you say at the beginning of the post that later on you ask you about burning a paper copy. You have the OpenDVD and VIDEO_TS folders is so great.

You can burn it to a DVD directly from PRE7 but it can be problematic due to other software interfering with the process. Burn it down first on file eliminates most of these hassles and it takes a few minutes to burn on DVD after that.

How to do a project is:

    (1) burn the project on folder on my computer

    (2) open Nero--> video / images--> DVD video files

    (3) add OpenDVD and VIDEO_TS folders.

At this point, Nero can make a long warning saying something like: ' one or more files could not be added. '. I ignore cela and press OK

    (4) now you are almost ready to burn. I chose the lowest burning speed, and then start the burn.

I never burn directly from PRE on DVD led to too many mistakes. Engraving on a folder, first of all, then using Nero I got no problems of all founded. I don't know that imgbrn would work just as well to make the final engraving also.

  • Satellite A100: How to reinstall the operating system with recovery CD?

    Hi guys,.

My laptop (8 months) has been crashing (Windows XP) lately and I tried to use the product recovery CD but nothing happened (the laptop failed to boot from the CD, instead, she starts toward the window of connection for Windows XP Home edition). When I open the CD in windows Explorer, then I realized it was empty. Is it supposed to be empty?

Even if the laptop came with a second CD, "Express Media Player Recovery CD", I think that's going to be for recovering pre-installed software supplied with the system.

I guess I can contact Toshiba for another free product recovery CD (or are they supposed to be two?) my system is still under warranty.

Please I need confirmation on this asap.

    Hello

It's very strange, I can't believe that the Toshiba Recovery CD is empty!
There must certainly be a ghost image.
    Very, very strange and mysterious

The Express Media Player recovery CD retrieves only the Media Express Player but not the entire operating system!
I also recommend to ask the ASP in your country for a replacement CD recovery.
Perhaps you could send guys the empty recovery CD because they do not believe! ;)

    Hello!

First of all, you should check the user manual. There you can find all the details on how to recover a Toshiba laptop.

In any case, if your laptop came without recovery disk you can create one using the Toshiba recovery disc creator. That's why you need one or two DVDs and then you have factory on a DVD.
If you created the recovery disk, you can boot from it and follow the instructions on the screen. Windows will be reinstalled, and you get back to factory settings.

But you can also recovery a Toshiba laptop without recovery disk. So go to the F8 advanced boot menu and choose fix my computer. Now, you can choose the Toshiba Recovery option and follow the instructions on the screen.

If you have any other questions, you can search a bit in the forum. You will find a sufficient number of threads on the recovery procedure.
In addition, you must check this document:

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    Hello Allen YX,

Your recovery partition is just a recovery partition there shouldn't be anything on it, but the files used to recover Windows problems. If you save other files on this partition recovery, it is wise to save them elsewhere.

See your user guide for the PC (or quick guide) for an option to create recovery DVDs. A recovery of the DVD set is usually the first thing the manufacturer asks that you do after buying the PC.

If you do not find a way to create a set of recovery disks try to contact the PC manufacturer. They will usually offer recovery DVD. However, they are not cheap.

  • How to restore the days mulitple backup in a single pass

I have a Windows Vista Home Premium computer, had implemented the Windows backup to back up every day. The computer exploded after a year. The computer has been fixed. Reinstalled the system software and ran all the updates. Then mount the backup drive and fired up Windows backup - went into Advanced Restore. He presented the list of the files that were essentially dates from the backup (of course more 365 of them) and when I clicked on the last date, and progressed to restore it gave an error message.

Spent a lot of time searching forums without help.

Decided to try to restore the backup more FORMER first - it worked like a charm. Then I thought, well, maybe this restore process is primitive and I need to restore each day in turn. So I went to an older and she restored correctly. I did it for approximately 10 cases, but each of them took about 10 minutes or more to restore.

Please tell me there is a better way to bring back all these files.

Also disappointed to learn that only the folder of the USER has been saved and more expensive versions of Windows Vista has done a more robust FULL backup - including applications and the ability to perform a system recovery. I hope that the variants of Windows 7 do not have such a gap in quality of backup.
