  • How can I add a printer "HP Solutions Center"?

    I have two all-in-one - one at work and one at home.  Two printers (a J6500 and a J6400) used to appear in the "HP Solution Center".  I got a new computer and now I can print on both computers, only the 6500 appears in the solution Center.  How can I add the 6400 to my 'Solution Center'?

    When you have installed the printer software you have the option "add a device"? Otherwise you can try to re - run the software of the printer to see if it gives you the option 'add a device '. This option will add the printer in the HP Solution software.

    Good luck!

  • Deskjet 4400 series: How can I get to the HP Solutions Center?

    I can't find any Solutions HP Center on my computer.

    According to the on-site HP troubleshooting page, I navige'yi Windows icon all programs--> HP--> HP Solutions Center's-->.  But there is no HP very well under all programs.   I followed the instructions to download the driver software.  Even if I downloaded the softward, nothing happens and there is still no HP or the Solutions Center HP under all programs.  In my downloads folder, there is a database of installation entitled HPSupportSolutionsFramework-en - 11.51.0048.  But when I click on it and click on install, yet I can't find any HP or HP Solutions Center under all programs.

    I still have the original disc, but when I put it in my computer, nothing happens.  I uninstalled printer and printer software and tried again, and still nothing happened.

    Incidentally, there is a HP support page that allows me to send a message to a service technician.  When I click Next, the page disappears and I'm back to a previous page, with no indication whatsoever that my message was sent / receipt / acknowledged, etc.  What is happening with this?  Very unhelpful.

    Hello

    I guess that the problem is more related to download and not the installer itself, the framework of Solution HP means only ot allow the download of the installer for your printer.

    Right click and save the installer on your desktop by selecting Save the shortcut under... and then run it and follow the PRECAUTIONS:

  • ScanJet 4890 cannot scan to PDF (windows vista)

    Recently, I replaced a 6 years Dell Latitude 810 runnung XP pro with a Dell E6520 running Windows 7 64-bit. I installed my Scanjet 4890 using the Windows Vista software and driver (using the compatibility check). I can scan documents to a printer, .jpg, .tif and .gif, but I can't scan to Adobe Acrobat (not an option, I can select). On the 810, I could sweep Acrobat. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thank you.

    I hacked my way to a solution:

    1. place the document in scanjet, connect to the computer, turn on scanjet;

    2 launch the scanjet analysis, NO Office, with (document) at the far left button on the top of the cover of scanjet;

    3. answer questions on the "Scan button scan" window that pops up just:

    -Click on the option button "Document" and one of the 3 color choices;

    -in "Scan to:" dropdown list, choose 'Save to file';

    -in "file type:" drop-down list, choose one of the options PDF.

    -other options can be selected as required;

    4. click on the button "Scan" (lower left corner of the window);

    5 answer questions on the window "Scan to file Save Options button Scan" which has just popped up.

    6. click 'OK' (at the bottom of the window);

    7 analysis program will launch; Navigate as always;

    8. when all documents have been scanned, will find your document in the selected directory 5, above.

    Thanks for letting me know that the printer installed correctly on other computers.

    Follow this post from @SuperMario1 to remove the printer files from the registry.

    Driver HP deskjet D2300 series does not not in windows 7.

    It's a different model, but it provides instructions to dig dip into the registry and get all of the HP software from the system.

    You can also run the Microsoft Fix it Tool to the problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled.

  • Sections stock scanner & printer preference is missing from the Solutions Center

    I just bought a 6510 Photosmart e-all-in-one. I had no problem setting up on my laptop and set it up easily on an old desktop PC. However, I noticed in the center of HP Solutions on the laptop that two sections are missing from this - Actions "Scan" and "Printer Preferences". The only sections appearing on the page of the laptop are connected solutions, commercial Web resources, help & Support, then disclosures of personal information. However, the missing sections both appear on center of my Solutions desktop PC. How can I get they appear on Solutions Center the laptop?

    The Solutions Center I want to talk about is the page that appears when I click on all programs / HP / series Photosmart HP 6510 / HP Photosmart 6510 series or the icon of the printer.

    Desktop PC - Windows 7 Professional (32-bit)

    Laptop - Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

    EDIT: I completely rewrote this post, including the title I used the terminology wrong so I hope that makes more sense now and I can get an answer to my problem. Maybe even an expert!

    Apologies in advance to the moderators if I did the wrong thing by rewriting, sorry.

    Due to a lot of things in my life I never had to call HP. However yesterday I did something stupid and had to reformat my hard drive. As a result, I had a clean slate to work with, and last night I was finally able to install the missing stock Scanner and Printer preferences. What I noticed during installation this time, was that I had an additional question that I could choose to install from the full functionality driver, called Smart something thing-or-other (sorry, can't remember title), which certainly is not in the list before (this is the same list that includes HP Photo Creations). I don't know why that did not exist before, but maybe it could be that I installed the printer in order to deparaments of the one below. He would have just because the news about my previous printer, which I had uninstalled it, was somehow still on my PC. Was the order I completed the installation in this time - 1) go to devices and printers, add printer, click the Photosmart series 6510 with the URL contains only numbers & points, and NOT the one with http / / in front of him (which is the link to the eprint centre) 2) download the driver full features on the site of HP , launched the present and choose what to install. And voila!

    When you try to install for my 7310 HP solutions Center which is connected via a wireless network, I don't get this option to connect even though the Help menu shows that this option should be available.  I checked the network and it is there and I can print over the network.  I need to use the other features of the all-in-One, (e.g., Scan) so need the solution Center. • HP Solutions Center's lack of installation

    No apparent reason, the scanner on my HP Deskjet F4180 (f4100 all in one series) stop working.  I've read since that sometimes happens on a Microsoft Windows Update, but whatever.  The point is, it would not scan.

    I thought that the best way to cope is to uninstall and reinstall the software. Big mistake. The CD player on my computer doesn't work, so my other option was to download what I need on the site of HP.  I read the three options for installing software/driver that have been listed for my printer model.  Not one of the three options mentioned "Hp Solution Center" which was what I wanted to make sure I got back on my computer, because it is the interface of the scanner.  So I followed the advice of HP and downloaded the option that has been "recommended for your printer" (third option).  This gall would extract, but not install.  10 seconds in the actual installation, the screen disappears.

    After disposing of this file, I then went back and tried to install the second option, which is the option I thought I needed in the first place, as is the "full" version  That would probably include the HP Solutions Center.  I want to be able to use all the features of this printer, including scanning, so there is another reason to have downloaded the full version of the software.  I downloaded this file, extracted and installed.  At least this one settled.  No problem.  I selected '' recommended '' when he asked me to install more files to get the best from my printer. When I go to start/programs/hp and take a look at what I installed, there is no HP Solution Center (which is why I've lived all this in the first place), and the scanner still does not work. BTW, during all these various facilities, I never once asked me to connect USB cable from the printer to the computer (remember the wick in the instructions on how you are supposed to wait until you are prompted to connect the USB cable).

    I spent hours on this subject, installation and uninstallation of the different software versions... (the second and third versions, since the first option is just the base driver).

    At the end of the day, I followed the advice of someone else said on some random comment elsewhere, that is to forget about HP and use the scan to Microsoft.  I didn't even know that this computer had built into the scanner and presto, which worked well, first try.

    So, I found a solution, but not one provided by HP.   Next time I'm in the market for a printer, I'll look for other than the HP brand, mainly because of the confusing instructions.  I understand that they have a LOT of different products, but someone really needs to review the wording of these websites to ensure that the correct messages/guidelines get through loud and clear to their consumers.

    And what was up with what appeared to be Russian-language (?) on the site the other day?  It was scary.

    I must say, I'm really frustrated with HP online instructions to undertake such a simple task - download and installation of software to get your printer to work.  At least for my printer model, the 'options' might have been better explained.  I still have no idea why the third option (which has been described as being to the developers COMPUTER on a corporate network) has been the ' recommended ' for me, a home user.  And I refuse to call for support, because it would cost me $25 because the product is no longer under warranty.  Ridiculous.

    Hi king501,

    Follow the steps below and let me know what happens?

    First step: clear temp directory

    1. Type %temp% term or search programs and files of field
    2. Select all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to remove. If you receive a message that the file is in use, you will need to ignore this file (s).
    3. Proceed to step 2 below

    Second step: downloaded and extracted to your system:

    1 download the drivers and full software features

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=MP-76229-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=4062&Product=1153494&sw_lang=

    2. once the download is complete, double-click the file to extract the software.

    3. when the installation window opens, press the Cancel button to stop the installation

    4. tap folder in the race or search programs and files of field

    5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

    6. right click on the folder and select copy

    7. close this window and all open windows, and then in the Middle the desktop right click your mouse and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder on your desktop.

    8 open the 7z, that you just copied on your desktop

    9 open the Util folder

    10 open the CCC folder

    11 start the uninstall_L4

    12. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

    13. run disk cleanup from the tools Accessories\ system under all programs folder

    14. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

    15 open the 7z folder and then double-click the Setup.exe file that will be towards the bottom of the open window. Follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer.

    Let me know if you are able to successfully install the software and driver and are able to print & scan?

  • HP solutions Center can not run because your installation of the device is not full (Windows 7)

    I downloaded and tried to install HP Photosmart C309a all-in-One Driver Software 14.0 Rel.5 in a new installation of Windows 7 Professional (not an upgrade). Installation works very well until the moment of the connection to the printer.

    I tried the wired and wireless network connections. The screen "Found network printers" lists the printer with the correct IP address and MAC address. Network Diagnostics screen shows any errors. The screen "Installation of your printer" poster "Detected printer", then says "printer setup has failed to complete." Retry does not help. Removing and reinstalling the software do not help.

    The Windows devices and printers control panel shows the printer as "Series of HP Photosmart C309a (redirect 2)". I am able to print a Test Page from Windows printer without error. The 'print options' are also available.

    The printer works fine with other computers on my home network, one running XP and a Vista running.

    How can I get the software installation to complete successfully and provide the printer the HP Solutions Center?

    Thanks for your help.

    Well, I have solved my problem. I'm not sure that these steps are necessary, but here's what I did.

    1 follow the instructions in "Completely uninstall and reinstall the HP software" HP. In particular, 'clear the temporary files and folders' and 'Disable Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) programs and any other lighting programs' before reinstall you, then "Reactivate startup programs", after the reinstallation.

    2. install base drivers, and NOT the complete software package with applications.

    3. If the basic install works, then install ALL the applications (eg Solution Center). Do not try to install some applications but not others.

    4 remove the applications that you do not (e.g., Online Shop).

    Maybe the steps 2-4 are not mandatory, but they worked for me.
