  It is safe for you to install the connector 24 pin. You are miscounting the pins on your motherboards ATX connector. The following image is your motherboard. I count 24 pins. Product specifications for your PC State that the PSU is ATX spec.

  A couple of options:

  1. you can configure everything but vcenter, export the DB for vcenter and import into the new database server.  Stop original vcenter and installing Vcenter and point to any DB.

  2. you could accumulate in parallel and that everything works.  Configuration of your groups and permissions all the same.  Then, unsubscribe and re save your hosts in the fixed Vcenter.

  If you have your hosts on a DVS you need to migrate off the coast of the DVS to a standard switch before the cancellation of the registration.  In addition, you will not be able to use the existing name of the Vcenter due to conflicts.  Any name you build your Vcenter as is what you will need to keep it as. It is not recommended to rename Vcenter because it can cause problems with ADAM services etc.
