That no longer works.  I unplugged the internal CD drive and tried different combinations with no luck. Need help I have run out of things to try! Does anyone have any ideas/thoughts?

  It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

  I tested both of them (just before going forward with the actual facility) and they seem to work perfectly.

  OK, the factory restore (takes 10 minutes) is less work because everything is done and you do not have to load drivers or utilities.   You could spend ~ 60USD during two years of eSET NOD32 AntiVirus (not more - just product AntiVirus) and which would be more worthwhile.

  After formatting the disk and reinstalling windows, it is always possible to recover the lost data/files.  You can take to a local Sony store to see if they can do it for you.  3rd party software (at a cost) and or contact 3rd party suppliers to help (but with a price).  What you can do is to contact DriveSavers for you help that too.
