How to will - my windows now opens with a slow fade in and fade out. How to quickly return just to come?

Until today, when I clicked on anything, whether a file from my library or internet explore or Firefox, the window would just open quickly.  Now, everything is just slowly fading and slowly fading.  I must have done something, but I know not of any change in my settings, I did.  Please help me get rid of this slow response. Thank you!

The slow pace is the melted effect?  The default value is 400 thousands of a second (less than half a second).  It is slower than that?

If it is melted by default is not to your taste, here's how to turn off quickly:
  1. Open the options of Visual effects.  The fastest way to do this is to click on your Start button, type effects in the search box below, and then choose the search result called adjust the appearance and performance of Windows...
  2. In the options that appears, clear the checkbox for "animate windows when minimizing and maximizing.  Note that this affects some other animations, such as the opening and closing of windows.  Click OK to save your choice.

    Thank you very much

    Craig

    Hi Craig,.

What your request is what I get on my machine.  So, I sailed to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32, click Favorites on the left side, click right and choose "Add current location to Favorites".

What it gave me was SYSTEM32 in my list of favorites, and when I click it it only opens the right pane to this place.

OK, so for your problem, it doesn't not self-expanding.  You can change this quite easily in the Folder Options.  Open something like the computer, click the arrow next to organize, choose folder and Search Options.  On the general tab, you will see under the Navigation pane option to turn on the self-expanding.  You won't achieve what you want.

Let me know how you go.

    Kind regards

    As above.
Since a few days now, every time I click on "Open a new tab" in firefox it opens immediately at the above url. I did, unintentionally that's how they get you if you're not careful, installed MySearchDial but it disappear totally via Add/Remove and start/search. I even new windows open with content, I don't like at all... my homepage comes back again, but I can't seem to figure out how to get my new tab to open again in a blank page (btw, at the bottom of this page "chrome" there is an icon of mysearch.com - I googled "how to remove this" without success).
I do not use Chrome and no it was not listed as one programs on my computer. However, when I start/search for 'chrome' there is a complete list of files and folders that are found and I'm not sure if I have to remove them as many of them seem to be directly related to Firefox. Please - it's frustrating... What can I do to get rid of this garbage on my computer?

I used the approach described here, and it worked.
This page showed as a pseudo home page when I walked into Firefox.
First of all, I found the path of this webpage of nuisance when I tried to print it. In my case, all I had to do was raise Firefox in safe mode. It showed the MySearchDial progam listed as one of my modules (that I never asked). After removing it, my usual, favored homepage came once more without interference.

  • Windows that open, kind of slow, stop, real slow (2-1/2 minutes) and using a lot of memory-taskmanager

original title: scanning for dell studio 1737 and recommended bios update

Hello, generally, I read until I have my answer, but I can't so I think I give it a try. Somehow I screwed things up with my computer. My main complaint is that I have something running that takes a lot of memory according to the Task Manager. My fan runs often, 1-1/2 minute stop time, pop up messages telling me to stop then reload IE9 sp2. I found some stuff on my event viewer, but I can't seem to cross the first error which is something on my bios. I go to the dell website to try to update with a flash of the bios but note comes up saying that my computer does not accept the flash. I have other issues in both event viewer, but can't remember them that I can't get beyond the the bios issue. The computer is a Dell Studio 1737 plenty of core duo memory 4 MB with plenty of space on hard drive and it seems to do well but all the * running in the background makes it run hot so the fan. All I want to do is get a scan for my installed bios system and install an updated version. I am not able to do at Dell. Maybe they want me to pay to support or something. I did all the FixIt of ms, I ran three different registry cleaners, I ran three viruses different scans, nothing. I've loaded my vista dell disk and tried to recover or repair and cannot do it either. I notice weird things with ie. I've done several downloads for versions 32 and 64 bit, to do the right thing. Maybe he has an it is to say the conflict or something. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's related to the fact that my computer takes 1-1/2 minutes to stop, even if it starts normally. I played with it for about a month now and I'm traps at all reading. If I can Flash my bios and get this update, maybe, I'll be able to get then some of the other things go. Here are some tips from the event viewer if anyone has any time for her. $ 1 million for any help thanks! If anyone knows where I can find a site that can digitize to my existing configuration and then recommend the installed updates. Oh, just in case anyone is wondering why I do not pay just for a few servieces for help me, or take it to a computer store, I don't have a job and can not afford it. Believe me. I have many errors saying: the embedded controller (EC) has failed in the specified time-out period. This may indicate that there is an error in the EC hardware or firmware or BIOS is accessing the EC incorrectly. You should check with the manufacturer of your computer for an updated BIOS. In some cases, this error may cause the computer to function properly. And The Office Source Engine service entered the stopped state. Ok..

    The first task manager...

Open it and then click the CPU tab until the processes that use most of time processor are grouped at the top of the list.

The system idle process should be at the top and then maybe three points below that seem to take the time to processort.

Make a note of them and then look on the Internet that each fact or the program, application or process to which they are linked.

Forget the event viewer and any reference to it in the BIOS...

All the * running in the background will not cause it's running more hot so the fan. BUT, you can have installed something knowingly or perhaps inadvertently causing the CPU work all the time. Reference to what I said about the Task Manager. This is where you will find the cause most likely.

BIOS... How to download and install... taken directly from the Dell support site. No payment at ALL is required. BUT, you probably don't need to do and if you do, it should choose to do so, it should be performed using socket at a time when it will present no risk of a power failure...

Fact MS Fix - its for what exactly?

Use of registry cleaners will create more problems than they ever solve. You may well have created one of the issues by running a registry cleaner. Uninstall them as best as POSSIBLE...

Three viruses different scans? Without doubt completely uninstalled before the installation and execution of another? In addition, what av scanners?

Many downloads of 32 and 64 bits, what?

Your computer may take a long time to stop if an open e-mail program is defined on control too frequently, or if a backup utility is configured to check the differences between system and backup is too frequent. In addition, some gadgets can slow down to stop, and USB keys will cause Windows to ensure that there is no process to read/write that run to them before she stops them.

Flashing the BIOS is not and has never been the panacea for all the ills of the computer and won't solve ANYTHING in your case.

If you have upgraded from Vista...

Go to the Dell support site and downlaod driver and install any Windows 7 drivers for your machine other than BIOS. If you enter your number of service on this site...

    http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=CA&CS=cadhs1&l=en&s=DHS

you will be presented only with the specific drivers for your machine.

This should eliminate the errors of the EC.

  • 6 Lightroom will not Raw files open in Photoshop CS6 (Nikon d5 and d800)

I recently bought a Nikon D5 and have nothing else had problems with reading and opening the files.  I have Photoshop cS6 and had 5 of Lightroom.  I contacted adobe when I couldn't even import my files even after doing all the updates.  They advised me to buy Lightroom 6 upgrade and I have more questions.  So I did and I was able to import my raw files from the D5 but still I can't open them in Photoshop anyway.

After much research I found that I have to convert each file to a DNG (frustrating ONE - if he will in bulk.)  Believe me, I tried different ways).  Then, once it is converted, I can open it in photoshop.

Still more frustrating is that now even my files between my d800 can't be opened in photoshop without first be converted to DNG one by one.  It wasn't a problem until I downloaded Lightroom 6.  Can someone help me please?  Why can't I simply open the raw between d800 and d5 as usual files.  I don't want to convert you to DNG.  I downloaded all the updates for both programs.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled lightroom 6.  All advice is appreciated.  It is a puzzle.

convert each file to a DNG (frustrating ONE - if he will in bulk.)

The DNG Converter is designed to convert files in both folders in bulk.

    What is your workflow?

Camera Raw: How to use Adobe DNG Converter - YouTube

A conversion of files at once would be very laborious. I can understand your frustration if that's what you do.

Devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw

Camera Raw plugin and Adobe application compatibility

D5 has been initially supported by Camera Raw 9.5 (= cloud Photoshop only) and Lightroom 6.5 (or the Cloud version)

The D800 was first supported by Camera Raw 7.1 (CS6) and Lightroom 4.1.

So you should have no problem with Raw D800 files in Photoshop CS6 or Lightroom 6 and you will be able to open D5 Raw with Lightroom (but), the files provided that you upgrade to version 6.5 (not previous versions).

You will never be able to open Raw D5 with Photoshop CS6 files. Use Lightroom 6.5 for this then save as DNG. Then, open the DNG in CS6.

Or join the Cloud and open Raw D5 files in Photoshop CC without converting them to DNG.
