  I have a portable Quosmio F10-101. My problem is that the card reader does not read my Olympus xD Picture thad card is 1 GB in size.   Well, recently I bought this ST Labs USB 2.0 card for my laptop. When I tried to install the drivers I just got a blue screen when the pilots was almost innstalled. It was on Win XP, I got the advice of a friend to change my OS for Win 2000, I did that, but then the pilot innstaller has said that there is something wrong with the device, press Finish to open help.
  I did what troubleshooting said, except that the device was not in the Device Manager to all (Win 2000)

  One of my friends uses USB 2.0 PCMCIA card with two USB ports and it has no problem. How have you installed new hardware? You first install driver and after that insert card PCMCIA or you did the opposite?

  Is there any kind of instruction how to do it? It's perhaps better first of all install the correct driver and then restart the computer to insert the PCMCIA card.

  OK, I found the solution:

  Looks like a few files are responsible for this, if you need to remove.

  1. make sure you can see all hidden files in your windows Explorer

  2. go to documents and settings\ "your username" \Local data\national instruments\DIAdem\2010 and delete all the files in the folder of 2010.

  (This path is that of windows xp. For other versions of windows, it is quite similar, and you should not spend too much time is it)

  According to my recent post on getting up and running with the NI PCIe-1433 camera link card, I ran into a bit of a snag.

  When you use the internal trigger on the camera, everything works 100%. I can view all the data from the camera in MAX as well as in the labview project. However, whenever I have set the mode switch is where things start to fall apart.

  What I have confirmed:

  -Camera is switching between inside and outside triggering.

  -NI PCIe-1433 camera link card is set up properly. While in external mode, I can trigger the camera by using a function generator and check the wire to the MAX. Everything works fine.

  When the unit is in external mode, the function Acquire.vi enter IMAQ - my mistake VI. The error is:

  Code :-1074397150

  Now, I have it set up so that a mistake here will not end the LabVIEW file. Sometimes, data of interest makes however (about every 10 seconds-ish).   I was intrigued by the validations and proposed solutions to the question of the network adapter 3160.  I have a 8 month old G0T55AV of HP Envy 15 t-K000 Notebook 64-bit Win 8.1 with 12 GB of Ram, and of course the AC adapter / 3160 of Intel.  I should mention that I am a fan of long-time HP products.  It's my second computer of this model as first a miserably failed with Touch Pad questions and passing AC 3160 failures, if HP has requested that I return it and they were replaced by a new.  Shortly after I received my other 'News' that also came with the AC3160, I started having network disconnects when you wake up mode "Eve".  I found articles about uncheck the power saving mode.  That worked for a while and all of a sudden, I once again began to have problems.

  I contacted Tech Support Chat repeatedly and most recently of several days.  They diagnosed the problem and as usual tried to remove and download the drivers that had been made several times previously.  They also disabled several of my 'start-up' services and was intending to leave them turned off until I challenged, who also screwed up some of my services.  I also noticed that now I could not the PC to recognize the adapter in wake up.  I have to restart the PC to refresh and identify the adapter, a problem that I had not seen before.   If after all this, the recommendation was to perform a factory reset.  I objected, so I was sent a box to ship my computer in for 7-10 days service center where the reset would be carried out.  Of course, I had to delete all my data and it should reinstall all software installed after initially receiving the computer 8 months ago.  WHAT?  Of course, it would be no monetary cost to me; However, the grief of being without my PC and reload data and software has been a big emotional event.

  I took a chance to solve on my own.  HQ 3160 being an Intel product, I went to the page 'pilot' of the Intel website specifically for the AC 3160.  I noticed that the iteration of driver used by HP several iterations behind the current driver from Intel.  I tried using the program to automate the update of the Intel driver.  The program has identified the adapter such as the need to update; However, the pilot would not move through their utility.  Do not know why.  I finally found a link on their site which allowed me to download and install the most recent driver manually.  I've been running for almost a week and so far, I had no network card failures.  Without losing the connection on sleep, without losing the identity of the card, nothing.

  I do not claim that it would work in every situation of AC3160 has failed, but it seemed to work for me at least to date.  My shipping box to return my PC arrived Friday 2/13; However, I hold that the driver will continue to operate successfully.  This brings a few questions in mind:

  (1) why the HP Technical Support uses them most recent updated driver from the manufacturer?

  (2) why not HP own up to the fact that the AC3160 may be defective, issue a reminder and replace them?  I know the answer! $$$$$$$

  (3) why HP joined with Intel and provide a common solution to the end user?

  (4) why HP does not provide a specialty within Technical Support Group to deal only with issues AC3160 to prevent "groping" solutions that could potentially cause more harm than good?

• Is no longer able to see the photos I want to 'move' or 'copy' of the media on the record card "my images". This problem started about two months ago.

  In response to your email in the morning... I was able to do what you suggested: make a right click on the photo, make a copy and then paste it on desktop. SPIKE came as a page with the corner turned down icon. I clicked on the icon and was able to display the image that I had copied.

  My wife doesn't have a file of my images. We both use the same computer and the necessary files, although more in games. She's just a hotmail in addition to our regular Outlook Express e-mail account address.

  When the problem started, I did a search for lost images .jpg, thinking they can have wound up in another folder. Each time, research has indicated that the images were in the folder that I thought that I put them. Yet whenever I went to this folder, there are no photos.

  I use JDE 5.0 Beta 4 (current version that came out for the moment).

  I created the 9500 Simulator like I always do to the JDE 4.7 to use a folder on my machine as the root of my press card.  The media card is detected and I can see the top level folders of option 'Explorer' in the media browser, but when I go deeper into one any of them they all empty (on the Simulator, but not in reality).

  Similarly, my application I can detect the card and the top level as existing folders, but cannot see any files or folders in them (nor can I make new files or folders).

  The Simulator also seems to have screen refresh issues, but that's a topic for another time.

  With the help of a file (.dmp) image instead of a directory works OK.

  I don't know what you were doing before.

  The 9780 comes with an included 2 GB memory card. I doubt that you have exhausted all that, but who knows.

  Look at the Options > memory. You will have the memory of the Application and listed in the device memory, and if a memory card, it shows the size.
