(S2800-400) Card PCMCIA USB 2.0 problem

Well, recently I bought this ST Labs USB 2.0 card for my laptop. When I tried to install the drivers I just got a blue screen when the pilots was almost innstalled. It was on Win XP, I got the advice of a friend to change my OS for Win 2000, I did that, but then the pilot innstaller has said that there is something wrong with the device, press Finish to open help.
I did what troubleshooting said, except that the device was not in the Device Manager to all (Win 2000)

Some help would be great :-)

Hi, Lars

One of my friends uses USB 2.0 PCMCIA card with two USB ports and it has no problem. How have you installed new hardware? You first install driver and after that insert card PCMCIA or you did the opposite?

Is there any kind of instruction how to do it? It's perhaps better first of all install the correct driver and then restart the computer to insert the PCMCIA card.

  • Problem with card PCMCIA-GPIB

I have trouble getting a PCMCIA-GPIB to work.

    Background:

This card works with another laptop that is identical, but a little older (~ 1 year). Two laptops have the image of an operating system of the same company, so they should be identical software-wise. They are two laptops running 32 - bit XP SP3 Dell. The two have identical nor is versions installed, except for the laptop that the card works on, which has installed LabWindows/CVI 5.5 (the other was the last CVI runtimes installed).

    What I did:

    1. install the latest drivers from NOR-488. 2 (2.8, of http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2129/lang/en), restart.

    2. install the latest runtime LabWindows/CVI (2009 SP1, of http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2072/lang/en), restart.

    (3 install last NI-VISA runtime http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2186/lang/en(5.0.2,), restart.

    4. plug the PCMCIA card.

    5. check the Windows Device Manager indicates the GPIB card and doesn't show any problem with the device.

6 open Measurement & Automation, select card PCMCIA-GPIB from interfaces, click "Scan for Instruments.

When I do this, M & A is blocked. When I run the troubleshooter on the interface card, it fails, and the "Help" button which brings me to a page about the conflicts of resources. Device Manager shows no conflicts. When I try to scan for Auditors using RPIC, I get the error 'EDRV', and it crashes.

    What I tried:

    1 reinstall the software OR

2 disassembly/insert the card in the laptop

3 uninstall the card from Device Manager

    4 restart the laptop

5 put the card in the old laptop (still at work)

Can anyone suggest anything to try? It is vital that we get this card works with the second laptop.

    Thank you

  • Questions about the use of an external audio card (PCMCIA or USB)

    Hi all

We know most or all W510 or other models of ThinkPad with Conexant HD SmartAudio 20585 are affected by the poor quality of the sound.

I have a few questions to ask, because I have not used or tried before external sound card.

1 - is the external PCMCIA / its USB, card work with speakers inside the machine?

    2. If the built-in speaker can work with external PCMCIA / USB sound card, is the sound quality and volume of music being improved?

    Thank you

    Peter

    Hi PeterTWJ,

    (1) would like to know what you mean by work with the built-in speakers? u means you want to use an external sound card to drive the speaker built into the laptop?

I want to say that external USB sound/PCMCIA card does the built-in speaker allows you only to speaker external drive.

I tried the smartaudio/volume control. You can set default 1...

    Help, please!
After the purchase of a used Satellite S1800-314 (it works well), I wanted to connect into my card PCMCIA network RJ 45. But this was not possible. On the outside, it looks OK, but there is no cap on the inside.

you mean that there are no pins inside? You can get it fixed if you want, but ask first in the store where you bought the lappie, what happened to the pins.

  • Problems pictures copies of Flash memory card and USB drive under Vista 64 files

Hi, when I insert a flash memory card (SanDisk 8 GB SDHC or SanDisk 2 GB Compact Flash) either by inserting the card into a card reader, AutoPlay comes on but the image transfer stops after a few images have been copied to any program (Windows, Picasa, etc.). I chose to copy the files. Same experience when I connect the camera with the memory card in the camera using the USB cable to the PC. I tried to re - format camera memory cards, but it has no effect.
Also, I feel the same when I try to copy from a USB flash drive (the drive is basic, not a U3 key).
I have a HP Pavilion m9400t Elite desktop running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I own this desktop computer for a year and I've always had this problem. I have no problem using these flash memory cards and a USB drive on my old XP PC or an Apple Mac Book. For what I can tell, my Vista desktop is set for automatic windows and updates from HP. Everything about the plan of updating drivers, etc., which would solve this problem would be appreciated.
    Thank you
    Srini

    Hi Srini,

one) that you get specific error messages when images are arrested to copy?

    (b) what is the file format of the pictures\files that are not copied? What images are copied with success?

To narrow the problem, please follow the steps mentioned below:

O copy the pictures manually on the flash memory card Office.

O connect the flash memory card\ camera to the back of the computer (for a different USB (port universal serial bus) and try to copy the pictures\files.)

O check if the photos are in double version:

Windows detects your newest pictures and doesn't matter the duplicate versions of the old photos that you've already copied to your computer

  • Satellite L300-1DN: brocken USB ports - PCMCIA USB card does not fit

My granddaughter broke the USB ports leaving the dongle and it banging as she wore the portable peasantry.
We advised me to buy a Belkin USB 2.0 notebook card and slide it into the slot on the side of the laptop but it does not seem appropriate.
I am a novice in computers and would welcome that any help however basic.

    Eric

    Hello

Satellite L300-1DN was equipped with the EXPRESS CARD slot.
You can use the ExpressCard/54 card.

Have a look here on the Wikipedia page:
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/ExpressCard

    Welcome them

  • I use a Belkin USB wireless adapter. In Device Manager, I see this same adapter listed several times... with a yellow exclamation mark over it. However, an entry for this card will not have any problems indicated and work well.

I think that whenever this USB adapter is removed and reinstalled, the system is seen as a new USB device.  However, if I try to uninstall the list in Device Manager showing a yellow exclamation point, the system will not... I get a message saying "Uninstall failed...". This device may be required for the system startup.
    Suggestion?

    Hello Fgibson1911,

Thank you for your message.  All of these entries stay after you restart your computer?  In addition, what happens when you search for new hardware?  Try this and let us know the result.
Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
    Click on Device Manager.
Right click on "Network adapters", and select "search the hardware changes.
    The "Yellow!" entries disappear?
We can't wait to hear back on your part.
    See you soon

OMG, it's good when it actually works. But the HDTV BlazeDVD it comes with Crash on me. My father has this feature as well, and he has no problem with it at all. While it does not use Windows 7 as I am.  I tried older version of 6.o there and their version of 6.6. The former works at 40% of the time, and the new works still. I tried to uninstall everything, update, deactivation, out of McDonald's. I know that this device can work and work well.

I have almost the same thing with Deluxe Blaze HDTV Player 6.0

Oh sure now 6.0 wants to act immediately after I installed 6.6, 6.0 of uninstalled, then reinstalled 6.0.
I don't understand. But if works correctly from now let you both in.
Good so what is my question. Can I go back and add the signature of the problem I could get with 6.0 to this post?

    Hi Tech,

I guess you probably switch to another application.
You can also contact BlazeDVD for support.

In the meantime, you can try to take possession of the %AppData%\microsoft\windows\sendto folder and check if it helps.

  • Wich USB 3.0 / 3.1 PCMCIA USB controller works best in a macbook pro 17 "early 2011?

    Hi people,

why I had this idea before?

did someone knows with this interesting topic?

    This product solves the problem:

    I bought a controller card - 3.0 - nano tech on eBay: http://www.ebay.de/itm/262393441049

It works very well plug & play under sierra on a macbook pro in early 2011.

but nowhere, a controller 3.1 must be found.

  • Card PCMCIA Satellite necessary 1730CDT

    Hello

I got a TOSHIBA Satellite 1730 CDT computer; It is impossible to read a USB key or an external storage hard drive (excuse my English, I'm French and don't know all the terms specific to the processing of data) the system does not recognize the hardware

What have I to do? the computer is from 2003
In addition, please would you be kind enough to tell me where I can buy the PCMCIA card for this type of material?
Thank you very much for your help

    Monique

    Hello

According to this page of the Toshiba Satellite 1730CDTsupports PC card slots: 2 Type II or 1 card PC Type III CardBus slots
    http://www.Toshiba.ca/Web/product.GRP?LG=en§ion=1&group=223&product=1552

I recommend looking on the internet for some online stores that provide a PCMCIA card Type II (16 bit) or Type III CardBus PC Card (32-bit).

    Depending on your USB problem:
I recommend reinstalling the driver from chipset for this laptop.
The control chipset USB ports so generally that should help the driver installation.

  • "Unknown device" USB Barcode scanner, problem with the USB controller driver?

    Hello

I need assistance with our Barcode Scanners that doesn't work on our newly purchased computers at HP with Windows7 Pro x 64 operating systems.

The brand and model of the bar code scanner is:

    Datalogic Heron D130 USB.

When you connect the scanner to a USB port, Windows will try to install this as a HID, but it takes an unusually long time, about 7-8 seconds, to boot the device and install the drivers and appears as an unknown device in windows "devices and printers" and the hand scanner does not work.

Sometimes when you move the USB back can I sometimes the scanner at hand to be recognized as an HID device or a Datalogic barcode scanner,

It works fine until you restart the computer.

After restart the computer cannot detect the scanner Barcode correctly without re - appears as unknown device.

I suspect that there is a compatibility problem between barcode scanner and card USB controller on the computers.

I tried to update all the drivers available on the website www.hp.com and same www.Intel.com (chipset drivers) but nothing has helped to solve this problem

Tried newly bought barcode scanners and "used" barcode scanners earlier who works on other computers, but the problem remains.

I found a workaround by connection of bar codes in a USB hub, and then plug the USB hub to the computer.  And leave the USB - hub to take care of the communication with the Barcode Scanner.

in this case, it takes about 2 seconds for the code scanner barcode to mount correctly in windows under the heading "devices and printers" and then works perfectly, even after a reboot.

I googled after a response after my problem, but it seems I'm the only one who experience this issue. ?!

Bought more than 40 computers that I have this problem.

These were bought at different times with two different for suppliers

    Computer model are the following

    HP ProDesk 1 400 P/N5S21EA

    Specifikations:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/emea_africa/en/products/desktops/product-detail.html?OID=6614160#! tab = specifications

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong and how to fix it?

    Thanks in advance

    Sincerely

    Robert T

    Hello

The problem is not power - related.

We use passive USB hubs that solves the problemon these computers.

(it also works with the docks, or if you EliteDisplay E241 HP as we thers a usb hub 2 ports inbulit in monitor that works.)

The problem lies in the incompatibility between the Intel USB controller and the hand scanner, can be connected to USB 3.0

When you let another usb-controller support in handshakeing (such as a usb hub), it works.

Datalogic or Intel would like to acknowledge this error.

Because none of the big companies want to acknowledge the problem or repair, personally chose to switch to an AMD platform / CPU instead of the Intel and now it works fine!

We get more performance for your money when AMD is usually less expensive to purchase.

And because of the poor of Datalogic press where they don't even answer e-mail (their only channel for support)

I chose to stop using their products. I'm going to use another provider / brand of barcodescanners.

  • Card SD & USB issues after update of El Capitan

    Hi all!

Just updated to Yosemite's El Capitan.  Running iMac (21.5 inch late 2009) - to update of Yosemite point has been completely up to date as well as all software and drivers.  Now problems after the iMac to wake up in the morning with some of the built-in ports.

    1. SD card reader - have to restart so that this works, but only works for an hour or two, it is more readings.

2 ports USB - external HD holding that nothing else than music files must be disconnected and then reconnected to be recognized and to mount.  Anomaly is that Time Machine on back of the iMac USB continues to function properly and rises when waking from sleep in the morning.

3-4 ports USB hub plugged back has only 2 operational ports in the morning, must either be disconnected and then reconnected to have all four ports work.  It works sometimes for the rest of the day or only works for one hour UX as well.

4 keyboard (yes I prefer a cable on BT) takes a minute or two to be recognized after the awakening of fashion 'sleep' in the morning.

I tried to reboot my machine?  Yes, several times.

I tried to reset the SMC?  Yes, several times.

I tried to reset the NVRAM/PRAM memory?  Yes, several times.

Any suggestions on additional solutions without getting really heavy in the Terminal?  Not really keen to try some of the recommendations Terminal found here on communities, as I do not play with the programming of the OS.

    Thank you!

Thanks for the nine people who have seen this post.  Unfortunately no one answered, so I 'solved it' of it the only way I knew how.  Rolled back to Yosemite.  I hope that the new Sierra OS will be an improvement on El Capitan.

  • Elite book 8440p: what card PCMCIA type should I use?

Just bought a used book of Elite 8440p.  I need to know what type of PCMCIA card that it accepts.

No PCMCIA... those who have not been on laptops in 12 years. The laptop has a 54mm Expresscard housing that looks like a little to a PCMCIA card slot, but is a bit different. It is right above the headphone Sockets.

    It is a USB 3.0 Expresscard 54:

The laptop has no usb 3.0 so this kind of card would add this feature.

    https://www.Amazon.com/WBTUO-notebook-Express-3-port-expansion/DP/B00TGWNR58/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1477075405 & SR = 8-1-fkmr0 & Keywords = ExpressCard + 54 + TV + Tuner

Tuners TV, card readers, external video cards, all kinds of ExpressCards. ExpressCard has now disappeared and new laptops do not include it but maps are always available. PCMCIA was equivalent to the old slots ISA and PCI in an office; ExpressCard is equivalent to the PCI-e slot.
